Barnes a non-factor off bench : After struggling as a starter, there was some hope that Lakers F Matt Barnes would see a resurgence in his production with a move back to the bench, a role he is more accustomed to. However the bottom fell out on Monday in Philadelphia, his fifth-straight game coming off the bench, as he was held scoreless for the first time all year in a 95-90 loss to the 76ers. In 23 minutes as a reserve, Barnes missed all three of his shot attempts while grabbing four rebounds, an assist and a steal. (Updated 02/06/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Barnes has scored in double figures just once over his last five games, and is averaging 3.8 points per game in that span. His scoring overall is down to just 6.7 points per game, and he doesnt seem to be showing any signs of breaking out of his slump. At this point, Fantasy owners will want to avoid him in all leagues until he can find consistency. (Updated 02/06/2012).
