Jeffries becomes starter for Knicks: The Knicks moved C Jared Jeffries into the starting lineup for Monday's game against Utah. Jeffries saw 31 minutes in his last game on Saturday against the Nets. He scored nine points on 4 of 10 from the field in that game with 10 rebounds and a blocked shot for New York. Jeffries looked solid as a starter Monday as he scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds over 34 minutes. He went 3 of 9 from the field and added two steals and a block for the Knicks in the win. Fantasy Analysis
Jeffries got the start for the Knicks with Amar'e Stoudemire on an indefinite leave of absence from the team due to the death of his brother. Jeffries should start as long as Amar'e is out, so that could be a few games in which he'll see a slight Fantasy boost. That said, Jeffries is averaging just 4.2 points and 4.4 rebounds with a block per night over his last five contests spreading 20 minutes per game. He has low-end Fantasy appeal even as a starter.
