Scola finishing on high note : Suns forward Luis Scola turned in his second straight quality performance during Tuesday's contest against the Rockets. Scola finished with 28 points in the 101-98 defeat -- his second highest scoring output of the year -- on 12 of 20 shooting from the field. He went 4 of 5 from the charity stripe and also added eight rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal to his stat line, while logging 38 minutes of game action. (Updated 4/10/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
While Scola has been a major disappointment for most of the year, he seems determined to end the year on a high note. He has only scored more than 20 points 11 times this season and three of those have come over his last seven games. He is averaging 16.3 points and 6.6 rebounds over his last seven contests and is shooting 60 percent from the field over that stretch. While it may be a tad too late, owners in daily formats should get Scola active while he is sizzling. (Updated 4/10/13). |

Rockets use goaltending call on last-second 3 to sink Suns
Jermaine O'Neal was called for goaltending on James Harden's last-second 3-point shot and the Houston Rockets defeated the Phoenix Suns 101-98 on Tuesday night.
|
| The usually reliable Luis Scola took a bit of a step back in his age-31 season, as his scoring fell to 15.5 while his rebounding plummeted to 6.5 per game. Still, he managed to play in every game for the fourth time in five seasons, and he picked his play up in the second half of the season. That bodes well for this season, as he moves to Phoenix after the Suns used the amnesty clause on him. The Suns played at a higher pace than the Rockets did last season, and there is little reason to think that will change. He will also team up with pick-and-roll partner Goran Dragic yet again, so the two should have chemistry once again. Scola’s numbers never jump off the page, but he is tough and dependable, and should continue his solid play. He has value as a second forward, and should be off the board by Round 6 in most Fantasy formats on Draft Day. (Updated 10/13/12) |
