Celtics waive Wilcox: The Boston Celtics released center Chris Wilcox on Friday in order to clear a spot on the roster for recently signed Ryan Hollins, according to NBA.com. Wilcox is out for the season with a heart-related issue. He will undergo aortic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic on Thursday. (Updated 03/23/2012)
