The 27-year-old has taken his game to a whole new level in April as he is averaging 32.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals this month while shooting 51 percent from the field. Anthony would have certainly been in the running for MVP honors if he played this way all season long, but he was hampered by injuries during the early part of the year. Continue to roll with Anthony as a must-start Fantasy option in all formats for the remainder of the season now that he is healthy and on fire. (Updated 04/17/2012).
05/11/2012 20:36 Sources: Woodson dumps agent at Knicks' request
The Knicks' Mike Woodson, in the midst of negotiations to elevate him from interim to permanent head coach, has dumped his agent at the request of the team, multiple sources told CBSSports.com.
The sky is the limit for Anthony’s first full season at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks faithful will adore him and coach Mike D’Antoni will design an offense around him. Anthony is one of the NBA’s premier talents and he averaged 26.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3-point range over 27 games with the Knicks after coming over from Denver. Imagine what he’ll be able to do with D’Antoni having an entire offseason to design the offense specifically tailored for Anthony’s strengths and weaknesses. The Knicks will continue to have an up-tempo offense and Anthony will have to share the scoring load with Amar’e Stoudemire. Still, the dynamic duo didn’t have much trouble doing that at the end of last year and the two want to win more than they want their name in the spotlight. In New York, it will be there already. Anthony has averaged 25 points and over six boards for his career, and could be verging on his best season in the NBA yet with the Knicks. He’s easily a top five Fantasy forward and a player to target in the first round of all Fantasy drafts. He revealed in late September that he underwent surgery on his knee and elbow to address lingering pain that he says has bothered him for the past seven years. Able to play in barnstorming games throughout the lockout following the procedures, he should be more than a safe pick in drafts. (Updated 9/26/11)
