Fantasy Analysis
Barbosa has performed about how we expected since coming over for the Raptors back at the trade deadline. The 29-year-old is averaging 8.3 points over his last 10 contests as he continues to see around 15-20 minutes off the bench. While Barbosa can get hot at anytime, his inconsistent production makes him merely a low-end option heading into the Week 16 (April 9-15). (Updated 04/07/2012).

05/15/2012 22:00 Pacers escape Miami with series-tying victory; James, Wade falter late
David West scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, George Hill added 15 and the Indiana Pacers took home-court advantage away from Miami by beating the Heat 78-75 in Game 2 of the teams' Eastern Conference semifinal series Tuesday night.
Barbosa is entering his second season with the Raptors after spending the first seven years of his NBA career in Phoenix. He played in 58 games last season and averaged 13.3 points per game over 24 minutes per night. Barbosa is largely a scoring guard as he’ll give you at least a 3-pointer per contest. He’s not big on rebounds, assists or steals and he doesn’t shoot particularly well from the field. Barbosa is an established NBA veteran and his playing time will be shared with the likes of youngsters Jerryd Bayless, DeMar DeRozan and veteran Jose Calderon. If Bayless takes off, Barbosa could become obsolete. For that, his upside and Fantasy value are limited. Consider him a very low-end Fantasy guard who could see his value maximized only as a waiver wire mid-season pickup in case of injury. (Updated 8/23/11)
