Spurs re-sign F Matt Bonner

|(7/15/15) Free-agent forward Matt Bonner re-signed with the Spurs on Wednesday, the team announced in a release. Terms of the contract were not made available.
Bonner has spent the last nine seasons with the Spurs, and averaged 3.7 points in 72 contests. He is eighth among active players in career 3-point percentage at 41.4 percent.

|(5/8/15) It makes sense that the Spurs and their fans are most concerned about the futures of stars Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, both of whom are contemplating retirement. But fellow veteran Matt Bonner is also entering the unknown.
Bonner has been with the team longer than any player outside of those two and Tony Parker. He will become a free agent July 1, but is hoping to return.
"I love playing for the Spurs," he told the San Antonio Express-News. I love everything about the organization and everybody in the organization - players, coaches, staff members. I hope they will all be back next year.
The 34-year-old Bonner is coming off a relatively injury-free season in which he averaged 3.7 points in 13 minutes per game.

|(4/18/15) Spurs forward Matt Bonner (calf) and center Tiago Splitter (calf) are listed as questionable for Sunday's opening round game against the Clippers Sunday, the team announced Saturday.
Bonner missed the final two games of the season with the injury while Splitter was out for the last six. The Spurs are currently 1-point underdogs against the Clippers.

Both Bonner and Splitter are each dealing with tightness in their right calf.

Splitter has been out since April 5 with the injury while Bonner has not missed any time.
