Diaw back in action : As expected, Spurs forward Boris Diaw was able to get back on the court for Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals Monday night against the Spurs. Diaw, who had been sidelined since April 6 after having a cyst removed from his back, finished with seven points in the 129-127 win. He went 2 of 4 from the field and also added five rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block to his stat line. (Updated 5/7/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
While Diaw's stat line was nothing to write home about, he did make two huge shots down the stretch for the Spurs. However, his production in the regular season was once again disappointing as he averaged just 5.8 points and 2.4 assists per game -- his lowest totals since the 2004-05 campaign. Diaw's Fantasy value has taken a huge hit since he landed in San Antonio and we don't see that changing next season. With what we know right now, Diaw should be considered merely a low-end reserve option heading into the 2013-14 campaign. (Updated 5/7/13). |
| Borris Diaw will be looking to emerge as the team’s starting power forward heading into the 2012-2013 season in San Antonio. Diaw, who only played 20 games (seven starts) with the Spurs after being acquired in late March, shot 58.8 percent from the field and averaged 4.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while averaging 20.3 minutes per contest with San Antonio. Diaw did not reach double figure scoring at any point with the Spurs in the regular season but improved his numbers in the postseason, averaging 6.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as a starter. He finished last season shooting 44.4 percent from the field with 6.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game with both Charlotte and San Antonio and will battle with DeJuan Blair and Tiago Splitter for the starting spot at power forward this season with the Spurs. Diaw remains one of the most versatile big men in the league, but he is unlikely to be more than a late-round reserve option in most Fantasy formats. (Updated 10/14/12) |
