Preseason Outlook

Ford moving up rotation ladder: Pacers PG T.J. Ford will climb the ladder of Indiana's rotation and return to being the team's backup point guard behind Earl Watson, reports the Indy Star. Ford, who scored a season-high 20 points on Saturday at Milwaukee with Watson out for personal reasons, did not play a single minute in January due to falling out of favor with the team for poor play. A.J. Price moves down to third-string behind Ford now.

Fantasy Analysis

Ford is averaging 10.2 points and 3.7 assists per game on the season but didn't play a minute in all of January. Thus far in two games back on the court, he's averaging 24.5 minutes with 15.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, a steal and 1.5 threes. If he can keep that up, Watson better start looking over his shoulder again. That said, Ford still must prove he's once again a worthy Fantasy option. Track him following the All-Star break and if he play well consistently, it isn't a bad idea to start stashing him away, at least in deeper leagues.
