Howard's season comes to and end: The Timberwolves announced Thursday that they have released veteran forward Josh Howard, after he was diagnosed with a torn ACL that will end his season. The injury will require surgery, and will likely keep him out until next season.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Howard had been dealing with the injury for a few days, but this is the first that we have heard of it being a serious issue. Howard was playing just a bit role for the Timberwolves this season, so he did not have much Fantasy value. He was averaging 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in 11 games. He should not be owned in any Fantasy formats at this time.

Timberwolves release Josh Howard after he tears ACL
The Timberwolves released Josh Howard after just 11 games following a serious knee injury Howard suffered against the Hornets Dec. 14. It was originally thought Howard hyperextended his knee, but it was discovered to be a torn ACL.
