|(1/23/15) The Clippers are planning to keep guard Dahntay Jones , according to the Orange County Register.
Jones signed a 10-day contract with the club Jan. 14, but it appears he'll be around longer than that. Following Thursday's game, coach Doc Rivers said the team will keep Jones around. Jones has played in three games with the team thus far. He's been praised by Rivers for his toughness, which might be part of the reason the team is keeping him under contract.
Clippers' Doc Rivers unclear on backup small forward position
|by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com|
|(1/18/15) Clippers coach Doc Rivers is still trying to figure out who will fill in the backup small forward position. After trading Reggie Bullock to the Suns to acquire his son, Austin, Rivers left the door open to anyone being able to fill the void on Saturday.
"It could be anyone. It’s not that big of an issue for me. Reggie was playing 10 minutes a game," Rivers said. "We feel like we have enough guys who can cover for him."
The Clippers signed Dahntay Jones to a 10-day contract Wednesday and played five minutes in Saturday's win. Since the trade, however, starting small forward Matt Barnes has played 40 minutes per game, well above his normal 28.5 minutes.

|(1/14/15) The Clippers will sign small forward Dahntay Jones to a 10-day contract rather than small forward Darius Miller, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Miller, who was waived by the Pelicans in November, was reported to be in line for the 10-day deal with the Clippers. However, it appears the team will move forward with Jones, who was waived by the Jazz before the season. He averaged 3.4 points on 36.9 percent shooting in his last NBA action during the 2012-13 season.
