Carroll becomes a free agent: After acquiring him in a trade with Charlotte last week, the Hornets finalized their buyout with guard Matt Carroll on Tuesday and making him a free agent. Carroll was sent to New Orleans in exchange for forward Hakim Warrick last Tuesday. He did not play a game for the Hornets.

Carroll, who is in his 10th NBA season, played just six minutes in his lone appearance with Charlotte this season and failed to score a point. He holds career averages of 6.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 459 games, however, he should continue to be ignored in all Fantasy formats.
