Carroll goes off for season high: Bobcats G Matt Carroll did something against the Wizards on Wednesday that he hadn't been able to do all year long -- score in double figures. He finished with a season-high 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting in the 92-75 loss. He missed his lone attempt from beyond the arc but made all three of his free throws while playing 35 minutes. Carroll, who got the start with D.J. Augustin out, also chipped in with three rebounds, one assist and a steal in the defeat. (Updated 01/25/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Carroll finally did something with his playing time on Wednesday as he entered the contest averaging just 2.2 points on the year. He is putting up 5.8 points with 1.4 assists and one rebound in his last five contests, and is shooting 38 percent over that span. Keep an eye on his progress going forward to see if he can improve his production. But based on his history as a Fantasy option, continue to ignore Carroll in the majority of formats.
