Allen remains a non-factor : Grizzlies guard Tony Allen was not much of a factor during Saturday's contest against the Clippers. Allen finished with just seven points in the 91-87 defeat on 2 of 7 shooting from the field. He went 1 of 2 from downtown and also added three rebounds, two assists and one block to his stat line, while logging 22 minutes of game action. (Updated 4/14/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Allen has never been much of a scorer, but he has had his moments this season. Still, the 31-year-old's ability to play defense and do all the little things continues to earn him minutes. In addition to the 9.0 points he is averaging on the year, Allen is also giving a career-best 4.6 rebounds on the year to go along with 1.5 steals and 1.2 steals. However, his value continues to lie mostly in Rotisserie formats as he averaged just 17 Fantasy points per week in all standard leagues. Allen will be a unrestricted free agent over the summer, so keep an eye on where he lands. (Updated 4/14/13). |
| The 30-year-old Tony Allen got a career-high in minutes last season for the Grizzlies with 26.3 per game. It didn't really help his differentiate himself from the hordes of other viable Fantasy guards in deeper leagues. Allen still put up mediocre numbers with 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and underwhelming shooting percentages. Allen is a defensive specialist and the Grizzlies wouldn't be giving him as many minutes if they had better options of which to go. Allen is good for a steal or two per game, but that is his only asset in category-play Fantasy leagues. (Updated 8/22/12) |
