Grizzlies Conley, Allen out Wednesday, Gasol to play
|by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer|
|(4/15/15) Grizzlies guard Mike Conley did not participate in shootaround Wednesday due to a sore ankle, and is expected to be ruled out of the team's season finale against the Pacers along with Tony Allen (hamstring), per the team's sideline reporter.
However, the Memphis lineup received a boost when coach Dave Joerger announced that Marc Gasol would start, despite a troublesome ankle.
The Grizzlies, who are still in a battle for position in the Western Conference playoffs, are 1-point home underdogs.
|Grizzlies guard Tony Allen is a starting-caliber shooting guard who is a defensive specialist that will likely work behind Courtney Lee this season. He was limited to 55 games because of a wrist injury and as a result, he averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, including 23.4 percent from downtown in 23.2 minutes. He won't do anything extraordinary for you Fantasy team, especially a since he hasn't had a double-digit scoring average since his third season in the league with the Celtics. Ignore him on Draft Day.
