| Fantasy Analysis |
Gordon scored 27 points in his previous game, so there is pretty much no making sense of his production right now. When he gets hot, the Bobcats will ride with him; otherwise, he remains largely stuck to the bench. His inconsistency makes him unworthy of using in the majority of Fantasy options moving forward. J.R. Smith posts 37 as Knicks win 7th straight
J.R. Smith scored 37 points, his third consecutive 30-point outing, and the New York Knicks beat the Charlotte Bobcats 111-102 on Friday night for their season-high seventh straight victory.

| After logging three-straight disappointing seasons in Detroit, Ben Gordon was shipped off to Charlotte in last summer in exchange for Corey Maggette. The Bobcats are in desperate need of 3-point shooting after finishing dead last in that category last season and are hoping Gordon can help in that department moving forward. He is coming off a season in which he averaged just 12.5 points and 2.4 assists per game for the Pistons, while logging 21 minutes mostly off the bench. While Gordon is no longer the 20-points-per-game scorer he was like his days with Bulls, he can still knock down shots from outside. The 29-year-old shot over 42 percent from behind the arc last year and has made 41 percent of his shots from downtown over his career. He is expected to split time at guard with Gerald Henderson and could even see some run at the point, which should allow him to see around 20-25 minutes most nights. Despite his ability to drain 3s, Gordon struggles at times to fill up the stat sheet in other areas, which continues to limit his Fantasy value. He should probably be left for the later rounds on Draft Day with the expectations of a reserve option. However, his outside shooting does make him a bit more valuable in category-based formats.
