Humphries has off night : Nets forward Kris Humphries did not have one of his better shooting nights of the season during Monday night's contest against the Jazz. Humphries missed all six of his field-goal attempts in the 105-84 loss, finishing with two points. Humphries really struggled on Monday night as Utah's length made it hard for him to find many open shots. Despite his recent stinker, Humphries has put together another solid campaign in New Jersey this season and is averaging 13.5 points and 11 rebounds on the year. Humphries is only 26, but he’s already playing in his eighth NBA season with his fourth NBA team as he enters 2011-12 with the Nets. Humphries played a career-high 74 games last year and started in 44 of them as he erupted onto the Fantasy scene under coach Avery Johnson. He became a go-to player for New Jersey last year as he averaged 10 points and 10 boards per game with 1.1 blocks and 53 percent shooting from the field over 28 minutes. Humphries was such a good rebounder, he limited Brook Lopez’s boards and rendered the center just a scorer as he did the dirty work down low. Fantasy owners can expect more of the same from Humphries, who has been lauded by his coach and Nets GM Billy King. Humphries is one of those players who was a sleeper last year but could be a slight bust this season if he suffers a letdown. He should certainly be targeted beginning in the middle rounds of Fantasy drafts. We believe he fits inside the top 30 Fantasy forwards in the league. (Updated 12/19/11)
