Martin will not return: Rockets guard Kevin Martins season is done, as the team announced on Sunday that he is being shut down after missing the previous 22 games with a shoulder injury. Fantasy Analysis
Martins scoring fell from 23.4 per game last year to 17.1 this season, as he struggled with his efficiency. He shot the ball worse everywhere on the court this season, and got to the free-throw line almost half as many times per game as last season. It will be interesting to see what the Rockets do with martin after the disappointing season with just one year left on his contract. He should bounce back with a full offseason to heal, so consider Martin an early-to-middle round selection on Draft Day. (Updated 04/22/2012).

After seven years in the NBA, Fantasy owners should know what to expect from Kevin Martin. He is a terrific scorer, who could rank among the top-10 NBA in that category year in and year out. However, he won't help you much in assists or rebounds. For that reason, his Fantasy appeal will remain higher in Head-to-Head scoring formats than in Rotisserie, but he can be underrated in those formats as well because of what he can offer in 3-pointers, free-throw shooting and steals. Consider Martin a safe choice within the first four rounds of any Head-to-Head format, but he may be selected a round or two later in Rotisserie play. (Updated 8/28/11)
