|Dorell Wright makes little impression vs. Raptors |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(11/17/13) Trail Blazers guard Dorell Wright scored just two points on 1 of 4 shooting and grabbed three rebounds in 14 minutes of action during his team's 118-110 overtime win over the Raptors Sunday. Wright has topped 10 points just once this season while averaging 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
|Trail Blazers forward Dorell Wright enters the 2014-15 season looking for a revival in his career. Wright was unable to do that in his first season with the Blazers, despite appearance in 68 games, including 13 starts. Although he received 13 starts, it was his lack of playing time that contributed to his low production. With Philadelphia -- a team that was not contending for a playoff spot -- in 2012-13, Wright averaged 22.6 minutes per game. With a contender like Portland, Wright only logged 14.5 minutes per contest. Over that span, the 10-year veteran averaged only 5.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists while shooting 37.4 percent from the floor and 34.2 percent from downtown -- his lowest numbers since his days with the Miami Heat. Wright is not expected to see enough minutes to make any sort of consistent impact in Fantasy. He is not even worth a late-round flyer.
