Brandon Bass leads Celtics with 15
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(3/3/15) Brandon Bass led the Celtics with 15 points, but it was one of the few bright spots in a 110-79 blowout loss to the Cavaliers on Tuesday.
Bass shot seven-of-15 from the field and hit the only 3-pointer he attempted. He added five rebounds, all on the offensive boards.
Bass packed all of his production into three quarters. With the Cavaliers leading by 42 after the third quarter, both teams rested all their starters for the entire fourth quarter.
The Celtics next host the Jazz on Wednesday.

Brandon Bass open to returning to Celtics next season

|(2/25/15) Although Celtics forward Brandon Bass will be a free agent after the season, he said he would prefer to be back with the Celtics, reports CSNNE.com.
"If I'm wanted back then yeah, I would want to be back for sure," Bass said. "It's been a blessing for me to be here four years, to finish out my contract here. I'm excited about that. Hopefully everything will continue to go in a positive direction."
Celtics general manager Danny Ainge said he appreciates what Bass offers and wants to keep him in a Celtics uniform beyond this season.
"What I like about Brandon, he's never satisfied with his role," Ainge said. "He goes about his job the same, every day. He's a rare guy in that he's getting better. I think he's better right now than he's ever been in his career. And I think his upside is still ahead of him."
Bass has seen his minutes increase lately in the wake of Jared Sullinger's season-ending injury.
Celtics rule Jared Sullinger out for season
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(2/22/15) The Celtics announced Sunday forward Jared Sullinger will miss the remainder of the season with a fracture in his foot.
Sullinger suffered a left metatarsal stress fracture in his foot. He had been experiencing pain in his foot, but was hoping it was just a sprain. After further medical testing, the fracture was revealed.
In 51 games, Sullinger is averaging 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds. Forward Brandon Bass will likely see his minutes increase with Sullinger sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Coach Brad Stevens said surgery is not expected to be needed to fix the injury, the team announced.
Celtics C Brandon Bass doubles up vs. Kings Friday
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(2/21/15) Celtics center Brandon Bass scored 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting while hauling in 10 rebounds in his team's 109-101 loss to the Kings Friday.
It was just the second double-double of the season for Bass, who played a season-high 37 minutes in the team's first game out of the All-Star break. With Jared Sullinger out indefinitely, Bass could continue to see an extended role for the forseeable future. He also chipped in two assists, one block and one steal in Friday's loss.
The Celtics will square off with the Lakers in Los Angeles Sunday.
|Brandon Bass was as dependable as ever for the Celtics last season, appearing in all 82 games and ranking second on the team in minutes played. He was also steady for Fantasy owners, averaging 11.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while flirting with relevance as his role shifted throughout the season. Bass will likely fill a similar role for the Celtics this season, though his expiring contract makes him a prime trade candidate down the road. He is a late-round Fantasy option in most formats on Draft Day.
