Brandon Bass would welcome return to Celtics

|(4/27/15) Celtics forward Brandon Bass is set to become a free agent this summer, but he said after Sunday's season-ending loss to the Cavaliers that he would welcome a return to Boston, Basketball Insiders reports.
"I don’t know what the future holds," Bass said. "That’s up to (President of Basketball Operations) Danny (Ainge). But Boston’s been great to me over the last couple years, so it’ll be great for me to come back."
Bass averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while playing 82 games for a second straight season.
"I thought I had a pretty good season. Based on how I started, I didn’t finish it anywhere near where I wanted to as far as the playoffs,” Bass said. "But it gives me great motivation to go back to the gym and improve my skills mentally and physically."
Bass averaged just five points and two rebounds as the Celtics were swept by the Cavaliers.
"It was a mental thing this playoff series," Bass said. "I just didn’t play well. I don’t have really any excuses. I prepared well, I just wasn’t able to perform in the playoffs like I wanted to."

Bass also pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds, leading to his fifth double-double of the season and third of the month. He also added two assists to his totals.
Celtics' Brandon Bass grabs 17 rebounds in losing effort Sunday
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(3/8/15) Celtics forward Brandon Bass notched a double-double during Sunday's loss to the Magic. Along with 17 boards, Bass scored 19 points on 9 of 14 shooting and added five assists.
|Brandon Bass is the consummate professional, willing to come off the bench or start, depending on what the team needs. He has averaged at least 10.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in four of the last five seasons, and should be a nice fit no matter what role the Lakers have in mind for him. However, with a bevy of shot-hungry young guards, there may not be much opportunity for Bass to score here, so leave him for the later rounds on Draft Day.
