Blatche wants to stay in Brooklyn : Nets center Andray Blatche said he will like to stay in Brooklyn next season, the New York Post reports. Blatche, who is slated to be an unrestricted free agent over the summer, said he would be willing to take less money to remain with the team if the situation looked like a good fit for him in Brooklyn. Yeah, I thought about that idea. I like it here, I got my second chance here and Im loyal to being here. We just have to see what happens, he said. With the money situation, that makes it easier for me to stay here. I dont have to take nothing huge. I can take less. Its going to be based on whats best for me. (Updated 5/6/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
The Nets took a chance on Blatche after he was amnestied by the Wizards last summer and he responded by appearing in all 82 games and averaging 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in mostly a reserve role. However, Blatche did put up an impressive 17.9 points and 9.3 rebounds in eight starts, leaving many to wonder if he could sustain that type of production for the entire year as a full-time starter. Fantasy owners should keep an eye where Blatche winds up next season. While he could still retain some value as solid low-end option if he continues to be used off the bench, Blatche's value could skyrocket if he lands a starting gig somewhere. (Updated 5/6/13). |

| Following his thrilling breakout campaign in 2010-11 (16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game), Andray Blatche experienced a regression last season. And that's putting it nicely. Blatche appeared in just 26 games during the abbreviated season after missing the Wizards' final 22 contests when he was sent home for conditioning issues related to his strained left calf. The embattled 25-year-old seemed to fall out of favor with the entire organization and was limited to just 8.5 ppg, his lowest mark since his third NBA season. He offers substantial upside, but his troubling attitude holds him back from becoming one of the top big men in the Eastern Conference. Blatche was a popular pick in the middle rounds of most Fantasy drafts last year, however, his tumultuous season may have sealed his fate as only a late-round option this year. Still, if he enters training camp focused and in shape, he could become a nice sleeper pick. (Updated 8/22/12) |
