It was Ellis' second consecutive playoff game with at least 30 points and is averaging 26.3 points per game in the series. Ellis also pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists in the contest.
He and the Mavericks will look to stay alive in Game 5 from Houston Tuesday.

With all the moves, the Mavericks are 10.5 point underdogs against Utah.

|(4/13/15) The Mavericks could be down a few players Monday as the team prepares for its playoff push, reports ESPN.com.
Dirk Nowitzki, Tyson Chandler and Monta Ellis are reportedly flying back to Dallas with owner Mark Cuban Sunday instead of making the trip to Utah for Monday's game against the Jazz. Chandler scored 20 points on 9 of 10 shooting Sunday in 27 minutes.
Mavericks' Monta Ellis scores team-high 26 vs. Rockets
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(4/1/15) Mavericks shooting guard Monta Ellis scored a team-high 26 points on 9 of 14 shooting in his team's 135-131 win over the Thunder Wednesday.
Ellis was one of four Dallas players to rack up at least 18 points in the shootout, and he played 37 minutes after missing one game due to a calf injury. The guard also kicked in five assists, four rebounds and four steals in the win, just the Mavericks' second in the team's last six games.
Dallas will square off with Houston Thursday.
|Playing with one of the most complete teams of his career in Dallas, Monta Ellis seemed to refine his game last season. He took 119 fewer three pointers than the season prior with Milwaukee. His 45.1 field goal percentage was his most efficient mark since 2011. He was still among the league leaders in turnovers per game, but the Mavericks relied heavily on his ball handling -- especially while Devin Harris sat for most of the season. This year he'll have Chandler Parsons to ease some of the playmaking burden. But that shouldn't affect his assists, which hovered in the five-to-six range per game all year. However, it could help him get back over 20 points per game and allow him to conserve energy to shoot passing lanes more for more steals. Guard is deep, but while many might reach early for trendier guys like Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic you can fill a more shallow position and grab Ellis a round later. He finished slightly behind them in Fantasy points per game, but he has a more proven track record than either.
