Felton losing starting spot? : Portland PG Raymond Felton had another awful performance on Saturday at Dallas and his time as the team's starting point guard could be wearing thin, reports the Oregonian on Sunday. Felton shot 4 for 17 from the field over 39 minutes against the Mavericks as he scored nine points. He had more turnovers (3) than assists (2) and added two rebounds. "It's time the play becomes better," McMillan said Saturday of Felton. When asked if he'd consider removing Felton from the starting PG duties, McMillan said he'd have to take a look at it. Jamal Crawford stands to benefit if Felton sees fewer minutes. (Updated 02/12/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Crawford has been playing well for the Blazers and Felton has struggled mightily in his first season with Portland. Felton has dealt with some injuries, but is also averaging just 10.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 turnovers per game over his last four contests while shooting just 36 percent from the field. Those are poor numbers and the threat of his playing time being dropped makes him unattractive outside deeper Fantasy formats at the moment. He should remain on most Fantasy rosters, but owners can sit him until he turns it around a bit. (Updated 02/12/2012).

Paul Westphal was the first coach to fall. Flip Saunders got the ultimate flip-off next. But coaches aren't the only ones on the hot seat, says Ken Berger, who notes five teams where the suits ought to watch their backs.

Derrick Rose dribbles through the Knicks in crunch time and winds up with a monster game at MSG. Ken Berger notices a difference between the NBA's successful and struggling teams -- a point guard who can drive into the paint.
Raymond Felton had an interesting 2010-11 campaign. He was predicted by many to have a breakout season with the Knicks and he didn't disappoint. Felton got off to a red-hot start in New York, averaging 18 points and 8.9 assists over the first 32 games of the season. However, that all changed when he was dealt to the Nuggets at the trade deadline back in February. Felton found himself coming off the bench in Denver and saw his production take a big dip, as expected. He averaged 11.5 points and 3.6 assists during his 21 games in the Rocky Mountains, while being used solely as a reserve. Now Felton will take another crack at starting, after being dealt to Portland in a draft day deal in June. Still, that doesn't mean he is going to light it up like he did last season in New York. Portland plays more of a half court game -- much like the Bobcats -- so we would expect the 27-year-old to put up numbers similar to his cumulative totals last season. He averaged 15.5 points, 8.3 assists and 1.7 steals during his 75 games, which would make him more than a viable Fantasy guard in most formats. Target Felton as a solid mid-round selection in most Fantasy formats on Draft Day. (Updated 12/19/11)
