Felton plays on for Knicks: As expected, Raymond Felton was able to play through an ankle injury in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Saturday night. Felton finished with six points in the 82-71 defeat on 1 of 8 shooting from the field. He went 4 for 5 at the charity stripe and also added three rebounds, two assists and two steals to his stat line, while logging 34 minutes of game action. (Updated 5/12/13) |

Felton was able to play on for the Knicks, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Felton's return to New York this season wasn't nearly as productive as most thought it would be as he averaged 13.9 points and 5.5 assists on 42 percent shooting from the field. Still, the 28-year-old's production was consistent enough to consider him a viable start in most formats and we would expect that to be the case once again next year. Fantasy owners should plan on spending a middle-to-late round pick on Felton in most draft formats next fall. (Updated 5/12/13). |
| It was not a surprise to see Raymond Felton’s game fall off last season; what was shocking was just how bad he was. Felton played 60 games for the Blazers last year, averaging 11.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while posting his worst shooting numbers overall since 2008-09. Luckily, he ended up back in New York this offseason, the site of his breakout in 2010-11, before he was traded. Felton averaged 17.1 points and 9.0 assists per game as a Knick, but that was in the wide-open offense of Mike D’Antoni. Mike Woodson’s offense does not rely nearly as much on point-guard creativity, however there is still hope for a revival. Felton is surrounded by more talent than he had in Portland, so we expect some bounce back. He is worth targeting in the middle round of most Fantasy leagues on Draft Day. (Updated 10/13/12) |
