Johnson plays through back issue : Raptors forward Amir Johnson was able to play through a back injury during Friday night's contest against the Celtics. Johnson, who was listed as questionable entering the contest due to a back injury, finished with 10 points in the 84-79 win. He made four of his eight field-goal attempts and also added nine rebounds, two blocks, one steal and one assist to his stat line, while logging 40 minutes of game action. (Updated 04/13/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Johnson has been one of tougher players to peg a value this season as his production has been all over the place. He got off to a great start back in December and January, but then started to fall off a bit over the next few months. However, some of that can be blamed on minutes as coach Dwane Casey has been tweaking his starting lineup and rotation for almost the entire season. While he can be considered a decent source for rebounds, Johnson's limited offensive game and upside make him merely a low-end option in the majority of formats when healthy. (Updated 04/13/2012).
04/09/2012 22:02 Granger, Hill get 18 to lead Pacers
Danny Granger and George Hill scored 18 points each as the Indiana Pacers took an early lead and held off the Toronto Raptors 103-98 Monday night.
03/30/2012 21:37 Wade, Bosh each get 30 in Heat win
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh scored 30 points each and the Miami Heat beat Toronto 113-101 Friday night, their seventh straight win over the Raptors.
Johnson limped to the finish line last year and underwent surgery on his left ankle in the offseason. That said, he’s expected to be completely healthy entering 2011-12 and is looking forward to continuing his Fantasy breakout. Johnson was a pleasant surprise for the Raptors and Fantasy owners last year as he averaged career highs with 9.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 25.7 minutes and 54 starts. Although Johnson did prove inconsistent at times, he was very valuable when Reggie Evans went down with a foot injury. With Evans back, however, the Raptors are crowded at Johnson’s position with the likes of Ed Davis, Julian Wright, Sonny Weems, Linas Kleiza and Joey Dorsey all similar players on the roster. We doubt he’s going to get over 25 minutes per game again and that means Johnson will go back to being a low-end Fantasy option. He might still be worth taking very late in Fantasy drafts, but Johnson sits outside the top 60 Fantasy forwards at this point. (Updated 8/23/11)
