Johnson still producing for Raptors : Raptors forward Amir Johnson turned in another productive stat line during Tuesday's contest against the Hawks. Johnson finished with 11 points in the 113-96 win on 4 of 5 shooting from the field. He went 1 of 2 from downtown and also added eight rebounds, six blocks and two assists to his stat line, while logging 36 minutes of game action. (Updated 4/17/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Johnson finally got a chance to become a full-time starter over the last few weeks and he has taken advantage of his increased role. The 25-year-old has averaged 12.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over his 37 starts on 54 percent shooting from the field. However, his production has been much more erratic when he comes off the bench, so owners will have to keep an eye on how the Raptors plan on using him next season. If Johnson is able to nail down a spot in the starting five, he would be worth scooping up in the later rounds of most formats next draft season as a low-end option. (Updated 4/17/13). |
| At this time last season, Amir Johnson seemed like a solid candidate for a breakout, but he saw his role in the Raptors' offense shrink last season, to the point where he averaged just 7.1 points per game, 2.5 points less than the previous season. The rest of his numbers stayed consistent, so he simply found fewer opportunities to score. With the arrival of another big man in the rotation, Johnson might find minutes rarer as well. At this point in his career, Johnson is more of a reserve Fantasy option, good for depth in the event of an injury but spread thin if you need him every day. (Updated 8/21/12) |
