Kleiza picks up option: TSN.ca reported last week that Raptors forward Linas Kleiza and center Aaron Gray picked up their player options for the 2013-14 season. Kleiza's option will pay him $4.6 million, while Gray will make $2.6 million, in the final years of both of their deals.

Kleiza did not play after Dec. 28, thanks in part to lingering issues with his surgically-repaired knee. He averaged just 7.4 points on 33.3 percent shooting in the 20 games he appeared in, and is unlikely to be worth targeting in any Fantasy formats on Draft Day.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 92-74 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night in a game that was overshadowed by injuries for both sides.

Clippers blow away Raptors with fourth-quarter surge
Jamal Crawford led a fourth-quarter rally by the reserves with 16 points and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated Toronto 102-83 on Sunday to win their sixth in a row while handing the Raptors their 10th consecutive road loss.

Grizzlies pull away, improve to 11-2
Marreese Speights had 18 points and 12 rebounds to help the Memphis Grizzlies to their third consecutive victory, 103-82 against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

| Linas Kleiza made a decent comeback from knee surgery last season, averaging 9.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 49 contests. The 27-year-old dealt with lingering issues from the offseason surgery, which limited him to 21.6 minutes per game, but his per-minute production was right in line with career averages. Unfortunately, he did not do enough to differentiate himself from the team's other options at small forward, so he will likely remain on the bench. He has some value as a reserve option for Fantasy owners, but it would take a real increase in his role to make him worthy of serious consideration on Draft Day. (Updated 8/21/12) |
