Klay Thompson's dad: Warriors will 'go hard' for Kevin Durant

by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(5/1/15) Former NBA player Mychal Thompson, the father of current Warriors' guard Klay Thompson, claimed to have inside information on how the team will approach the 2016 free agent market.

Appearing on his Bay Area radio show, Thompson said he "heard it on good authority, ... that they're gonna go hard after Kevin Durant."

Durant's contract with the Thunder expires in 2016 and he'll be a free agent.

"The cap is gonna go up," Thompson said. "David Lee is gonna be off the books. So they are gonna have some salary cap room."

Warriors' David Lee (back) expects to play in second round

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(4/27/15) Warriors center David Lee is ready to return to action after missing the team's first-round sweep of the Pelicans due to a lower back strain, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Lee has seen a reduction in his role this season, as his averages of 7.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 18.4 minutes per game all fall far short of his production in his first four seasons with the team.

"Although I haven't gotten the minutes sometimes that I've wanted, coach (Steve) Kerr and the rest of the staff has been really cool about being upfront and honest about it and saying that it's circumstance," Lee said. "As a pro, it's my job to stay ready. This isn't about me. It's about our team as a whole, so it's not a big deal at all."

Though Lee didn't play in the first-round series, he was available for Game 4 if needed.

David Lee will be active for Warriors' Game 4

by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(4/25/15) Warriors forward David Lee was able to participate in a three-on-three scrimmate on Friday, and he will be active for Game 4 of the team's playoff series against the Pelicans, per the San Francisco Chronicle.

Lee has missed the first three games of the series, as well as the regular season finale.

Warriors F James McAdoo out, C David Lee in for Game 4

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(4/24/15) Two Warriors have received quite different statuses for their Game 4 battle Saturday in New Orleans.

Small forward James McAdoo (flu) has been downgraded from questionable to out. But center David Lee (back) has been removed from the injury report.

The former received some playing time down the stretch in the regular season. Lee played more significantly, but has yet to get into a playoff game.

Warriors F David Lee (back) ruled out of Game 3

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(4/23/15) Warriors forward David Lee will not be available to play in Game 3 Thursday at New Orleans, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Lee has missed the first two playoffs games with a lower back injury.

The Warriors are 5-point favorites over the Pelicans on Thursday.
