Wafer posts season high: Magic guard Von Wafer entered Tuesday night averaging just 4.4 points per game, but with extended playing time he managed to post a new season high. He shot 5 for 8 from the field, going 1 for 2 from downtown, and converted both his foul shots. Wafer finished with 13 points in Orlando's 96-89 win. He added three boards, one assist and one steal in his 24 minutes of action. (Updated 01/17/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Just because Wafer saw more action and produced, doesn't mean Fantasy owners should go out and add him to their roster. The Magic were in the middle of back-to-back-to-back games, so coach Stan Van Gundy needed to use some of his bench players and Wafer was the benefactor of that decision. But Wafer still needs to improve on the defensive end to gain more consistent playing time. For now, Fantasy owners should continue to watch Wafer on the waiver wire. (Updated 01/17/2012).
