D-Will hitting on all cylinders: Nets guard Deron Williams keeps playing well as he led his team with 27 points on Saturday night versus the Spurs. He shot 9 for 23 from the field and went 7 of 8 from the foul line. Williams had a rough time from downtown as he went 2 for 8 from beyond the arc. He added eight dimes and grabbed four boards in New Jersey's 103-89 loss. (Updated 02/12/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Williams is the motor in New Jersey, but he doesn't have a ton of help. He can score with the best of them and as long as his teammates knock down a few shots he'll get his assists. Over his last five games Williams is tallying 24.2 points, 7.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds per outing. Fantasy owners should keep him active as he's a high-end guard option. (Updated 02/12/2012).

Williams is coming off wrist surgery, but that should have him 100 percent ready to have another fantastic season in his seventh in the NBA. D-Will only started 12 games for the Nets after coming over from the Jazz last season and averaged 15 points and 12.8 assists in those games. One of the game’s best all-around point guards, Williams will continue to benefit from Brook Lopez down low and those assist numbers should continue to be otherworldly. You have to think coach Avery Johnson will make him even more a part of the offense and his scoring will get back to the 18-20 points per game he was putting up in Utah. New Jersey is still going to be a bumbling team this season, but Williams provides them with veteran superstar leadership. With the Nets on his back even more than the Jazz were, Williams should become an even deadlier Fantasy point guard this season. He’s surely one of the NBA’s elite and should come off the board right around the time names like Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and Rajon Rondo do. Target D-Will early in drafts as a clear-cut No. 1 Fantasy PG. (Updated 8/23/11)
