Fantasy Analysis
Williams is making just 36 percent of his field-goal attempts over his last five contests as he stuck in a mini shooting slump. However, this is nothing new for the 25-year-old, who has always been a streaky shooter over his career. Fantasy owners know by now you have to take the good with the bad from Williams, so leave him active in the majority of formats moving forward. (Updated 04/04/2012).

Williams was drafted out of high school so he’s entering his seventh NBA season as just a 24-year-old. After starting 38 games in 2009-10, Williams became a bench role player last year for Doug Collins and the Sixers and wasn’t even the top bench player on the team with Thaddeus Young considered the Sixers’ sixth man. But he put together another fine season with 13.7 points, 3.4 assists and 1.2 3-pointers per game over 23 minutes per contest. Philadelphia has such a young nucleus of players that Williams’ role doesn’t figure to change next to Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and Jodie Meeks in the backcourt. Williams’ numbers have been consistent over his last four seasons and Fantasy owners can expect another 23-25 minutes per game this year. He certainly isn’t someone to covet in Fantasy drafts, but can be taken in the very late rounds. Consider him just inside the top 70 Fantasy guards on Draft Day. (Updated 8/23/11)
