Fantasy Analysis
Williams continues to play well for the 76ers and has actually gotten his scoring up of late. He is averaging 18 points per game over his last five contests and is shooting 40 percent from downtown over that stretch. While he continues to come off the the bench in Philadelphia, Williams' consistent production continues to make him a staple in the majority of Fantasy owners starting lineups. Leave him active heading into Fantasy Week 8 (Feb. 13-19). (Updated 02/11/2012).

Rookie Nikola Vucevic set a career high with 15 points to lead six Philadelphia scorers in double figures and the Sixers dodged back-to-back losses once again by beating the Atlanta Hawks 98-87 on Saturday night.
Williams was drafted out of high school so he’s entering his seventh NBA season as just a 24-year-old. After starting 38 games in 2009-10, Williams became a bench role player last year for Doug Collins and the Sixers and wasn’t even the top bench player on the team with Thaddeus Young considered the Sixers’ sixth man. But he put together another fine season with 13.7 points, 3.4 assists and 1.2 3-pointers per game over 23 minutes per contest. Philadelphia has such a young nucleus of players that Williams’ role doesn’t figure to change next to Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and Jodie Meeks in the backcourt. Williams’ numbers have been consistent over his last four seasons and Fantasy owners can expect another 23-25 minutes per game this year. He certainly isn’t someone to covet in Fantasy drafts, but can be taken in the very late rounds. Consider him just inside the top 70 Fantasy guards on Draft Day. (Updated 8/23/11)
