Williams' rehab 'going great' : Hawks guard Lou Williams, who underwent reconstructive surgery on his right knee back in February, said his rehab is "going great", the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Williams said he is still unable to jog but added that he has been able to do some stand-still shooting. "This is the first time I've been injured in my life. Its very different territory that Im facing. Its going to be a different summer. Im used to being able to do what I want to in the summertime. Obviously that is not in the cards for me this year. So, if you have a long enough career, you are blessed to experience all things." (Updated 5/6/13) |

Knee - Questionable for the start of training camp (Updated - 5/6/13) |
| Fantasy Analysis |
The original timetable for Williams' return was listed at 6 to 9 months and he is on month four right now. While he is making steady progress in his recovery, it is way to early to tell if he will be ready for the start of training camp. Williams averaged 14.1 points on 42.1 percent shooting from the field prior to his injury, while primarily being used in his customary sixth-man role. Fantasy owners will have to keep a close eye on Williams' recovery over the summer. However, based on the fact that he is coming off of a major knee injury, we wouldn't plan on spending anything other than a late-round pick on the 26-year-old. (Updated 5/6/13). |
| Lou Williams signed with the Hawks this offseason, which could put him in line for a starting spot for the first time since 2009-10. He has thrived off the bench over the last two seasons, as he led the Sixers in scoring last year with 14.9 points in just 26.3 minutes per game. This is a guy who could average 20 points and five assists per night if given regular starter's minutes, and at just 26 years old, there might still be room to grow. He will have to share the backcourt with another smaller, speedy point guard in Jeff Teague, but that worked well enough in Philadelphia, so target Williams as a No. 2 Fantasy guard for the season.
