Williams hits some big shots: Atlanta forward Marvin Williams finished with just 13 points on Friday night against Orlando. He did make some big shots though and they came from deep. Williams hit a 3-pointer at the end of halftime and another one in overtime. He went 3 for 6 from downtown and shot 4 for 8 from the field. Williams added three assists, six rebounds and one block in his 35 minutes of work. The Hawks would go on to win the game, 89-87. (Updated 02/10/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Friday marked the first time in his last five games that Williams scored in double figures. He's averaging just 8.6 points and 5.0 boards over that span. Despite being a starter for Atlanta, Williams is too inconsistent to warrant much Fantasy attention in anything but deeper leagues. (Updated 02/10/2012).

01/31/2012 21:30 Johnson leads Hawks in rout of Raptors
Joe Johnson needed just three quarters to match his season high with 30 points, Tracy McGrady scored 15 against his former team and the Atlanta Hawks recorded their sixth consecutive victory over the Raptors, beating Toronto 100-77 on Tuesday night.
Williams turned in another underwhelming season during the 2011-12 campaign. The former University of North Carolina standout was limited to just 65 games as he dealt with a flurry of minor injuries last year. He was once again used more as a role player than a go-to-guy, which limited his production to a mediocre 10-5-1 stat line. With the Hawks likely to bring back the same base roster next year, owners should expect more of the same from Williams. He will likely average somewhere in low double figures with around five rebounds per contest while seeing around 30 minutes a night. Once again owners should consider him a quality reserve option worthy of taking with a late-round pick in most formats. While Williams may never end up having the "breakout" year many have been waiting for, his production has been consistent enough to know what to expect from Williams on a regular basis.
