Nets' Alan Anderson scores team-high 23 in Game 5 loss
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(4/29/15) Nets guard Alan Anderson scored a tema-high 23 points on 9 of 11 shooting, including 4 for 4 shooting from 3-point range, in his team's 107-97 loss to the Hawks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Wednesday.
Anderson was able to deliver an offensive spark off the bench on a night where the team's starting guards scored just 12 points combined on 5 of 16 shooting. He also racked up seven rebounds in his 32 minutes of play.
The two teams will play in Brooklyn Friday with the Nets down 3-2 in the series.
Nets may move SG Bojan Bogdanovic into starting lineup
|by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer|
|(4/20/15) After dropping the first game of their playoff series against the Hawks with rookie shooting guard Markel Brown in the lineup, the Nets may make a chance for Game 2, with Bojan Bogdanovic likely moving into the starting five, per Newsday.
Brown played the first 5:35 and scored four points, but did not return to the contest, with Bogdanovic and Alan Anderson logging most of the minutes at the two spot.
"Bogey is really the starter," Nets coach Lionel Hollins said. "And Markel, I play him to get some experience and some minutes. And usually, if he's playing better, he gets to play in the second half. If he's not, then I stick with the guy who's the starter."
Alan Anderson goes through full practice for Nets
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(4/17/15) Nets shooting guard Alan Anderson went through a full practice on Friday, per the New York Post.
Anderson is questionable for game one of the team's playoff series at Atlanta. He missed the last seven games of the regular season with a sprained ankle.
After practice, Anderson told the media that he's playing on Sunday.
|At this point in his career, there probably aren't many hidden dimensions to Alan Anderson's game. The 32-year-old's first, second and third options when he gets the ball are all going to be to shoot it; he attempted 6.2 field-goals in just 22.7 minutes per game last season, compared to only 1.0 assists per game. He can be a useful source of quick scoring, but brings almost nothing else to the table at the NBA level. Outside of the deeper of category-based Fantasy formats, Alan Anderson can be safely ignored on Draft Day.
