Billups vows to return to NBA: Clippers guard Chauncey Billups says he won't let his season-ending injury also finish his NBA career. Billups tore his left Achilles tendon on Monday night, ending his first season with Los Angeles. He said the injury has left him "deflated" but he's confident the Clippers will be able to survive without him and can still have "a special season." After surgery, which has not yet been scheduled, Billups said he plans to stay around the Clippers to help them any way he can. (Updated 02/08/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
The 35-year-old Billups will need eight months to recover from the injury, which will also cost him a chance to play on the U.S. Olympic team this summer. Billups said his career is not over and he "will go out on my own. I will be back." Billups can be cut in all seasonal Fantasy formats and has low-end appeal in long-term keeper formats. 02/08/2012 09:19 Waiver Wire: Lin is quite a gem
Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin came out of nowhere this week to light up the waiver wire. Our Ed Gauna takes a deeper look to find the under-the-radar players who could help you win the week.
After years of running the point for several teams, including New York and Denver last year, G Chauncey Billups will cede the position for the 2011-12 campaign. Billups, who was released by the Knicks with their amnesty clause, was claimed by the Clippers and will slide over to shooting guard after Los Angeles acquired Chris Paul. The veteran averaged 17.5 points and 5.5 assists in 21 games with the Knicks, but shot just .403 from the field. Billups could take some time transitioning to his new role, and he has drained at least 42 percent of his 3-point attempts only three times in his career (.389 career clip). While age might start catching up to him, the 35-year-old remains a top-30 Fantasy guard in all formats and should be taken beginning in the early middle rounds of 2011-12 drafts. (Updated 12/16/11)
