Preseason Outlook

Dampier out again: Mavericks C Erick Dampier (knee) will not play in tonight's game against the Nuggets, according to the Dallas Morning News. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said the team will hold Dampier out of tonight's game to give him an extended rest through the All-Star break. "Looking big picture and wanting to do the right things from a medical and managing the overall season perspective, he still has a little soreness in there and we have some time after this game to get it knocked out of there," Carlisle said.
