McGrady back on the court: Hawks guard Tracy McGrady returned to the floor for the first time in three games on Wednesday, playing 21 minutes off the bench as the Hawks took down the Bobcats, 120-93. McGrady struggled with his shot, scoring no points on three attempts, however he filled in the box score in other ways, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out five assists. (Updated 04/04/2012)

He has been taking plenty of days off in the meantime, and at this point should not be on anyone’s Fantasy radar, especially after finishing March with a 3.1 points per game average. Long gone are the days when G Tracy McGrady was a premier player, but he is still hanging around the NBA as one of the more talented role players in the league. Injuries have crippled his career over the past four years, but he continues to find work and signed with Atlanta in the offseason. McGrady will not excel in any particular category but given roughly 25 minutes a night, he can still chip in decent numbers. Last season, he averaged eight points and four rebounds per game to give owners in category-based formats a viable low-end starting option. While Fantasy owners should no longer look to him as a regular staring option in any format, he will be worth taking a late-round flier on in deeper formats. (Updated 12/16/11)
