Carter wants return to Knicks

(4/25/2011) The New York Daily News reports that guard Anthony Carter, an 11-year veteran now with his fifth team who will turn 36 in June, would like a chance to remain with the Knicks next season. He was included in the deal that brought Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to New York from Denver. Carter was mostly considered a salary dump as his $1.3 million deal expires July 1. "Where else would you want to play?" Carter said when asked about next year. "The best fans, and the atmosphere is just great; as long as you come out and play with energy and effort, the fans love you here." Carter averaged 4.4 points, 2.3 assists and 16.3 minutes in his time with the Knicks.

Carter heading to NYC

(2/22/2011) Guard Anthony Carter is on his way to New York after spending the last five seasons in Denver. He was one of the 13 players involved in the trade that was finalized Tuesday, which sent Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks. The deal includes, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mozgov and New York's 2014 first-round pick going to Denver for Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Renaldo Balkman and Carter. The Timberwolves agreed to take Eddy Curry's expiring contract along with Anthony Randolph from the Knicks and send Corey Brewer to New York. Carter part of 'Melo deal

(2/21/2011) The Knicks and Nuggets agreed Monday night on a massive, 12-player trade sending Carmelo Anthony to New York, three league sources told CBSSports.com. The Timberwolves agreed to take Eddy Curry's expiring contract along with Anthony Randolph from the Knicks and send Corey Brewer to New York -- not Denver, as was discussed in a previous version of the trade. The Wolves get $3 million from the Knicks, which will be used to buy Curry out of the few remaining pay checks on his $11.3 million contract. The Nuggets also get Golden State's second-round picks in 2012 and '13 from New York, according to one of the sources
