(12/17/2014) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry posted a double-double on Wednesday against the Nets.

Lowry shot 7-13 from the field, including 2-3 from beyond the arc. He sunk four free throws, finishing with 20 points. Lowry made to sure to get his teammates involved, dishing out 12 assists.

(12/14/2014) Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry scored 21 points on 8 of 19 shooting while dishing out 11 assists in his team's 95-90 overtime win over the Knicks Sunday.

Lowry racked up his third double-double in his last four games while also managing a season-high six steals, but he did turn the ball over a whopping nine times, which was also a season high. Lowry played 39 minutes in the win, the team's fifth in seven December contests. They'll square off with the Magic Monday.


Raptors PG Kyle Lowry hands out 14 assists Tuesday

(12/9/2014) Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry struggled from the field against the Cavaliers on Tuesday, hitting 6 of 18 shots, but he played 40 minutes and dished out 14 assists. Lowry finished with 16 points, four rebounds and a steal.

Lowry has handed out 27 assists in his last two games entering Friday's contest against Indiana.

Lowry shot 13-22 from the field, including 4-5 from beyond the arc. He sunk all nine of his free throws. Lowry also added five rebounds and four assists.

(12/1/2014) Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry scored a team-high 29 points on 10 of 28 shooting in his team's 129-122 overtime loss to the Lakers Sunday.

Lowry's 28 shots easily marked a season high, trumping the 22 shots he attempted in his previous game. He's made just 38 percent of those shots over the two game stretch and was particularly disappointing from three-point range Sunday, hitting just one of his eight attempts from behind the arc. Lowry also kicked in nine assists, six rebounds and three steals in 41 minutes before fouling out. His next game comes Tuesday in Sacramento.

(11/26/2014) Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry scored 14 points on just 3 of 12 shooting, including 2 of 6 shooting from behind the arc, while dishing out 13 assists in his team's 126-115 win over the Hawks Wednesday.

Lowry hadn't managed double-digit assists in a game since posting a triple-double on Nov. 7 but came through with a season high in the category Wednesday despite dealing with his worst shooting night of the season. He also racked up six rebounds and one steal in 33 minutes as the Raptors won their sixth straight game. They'll look to keep rolling Friday against the Mavericks.

Lowry shot 12-17 from the field, and hit two shots from beyond the arc. He was also able to make 9 of his 10 free throw attempts. Lowry also had four rebounds and dished out three assists.

(11/2/2014) Raptors guards Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan each got to the line early and often, as both players combined for 47 of Toronto's 108 points in a comfortable victory over the Magic in Orlando Saturday night.

Lowry scored 21 points on 5 of 12 shooting from the field, including 2 of 5 from downtown, and 9 of 11 from the free throw line. He added five assists, three rebounds and one steal while logging 33 minutes of game action.

DeRozan led the way with 26 points on 9 of 18 shooting, and 8 of 10 from the charity stripe. He chipped in with eight rebounds, one assist and one steal while logging 30 minutes of a 108-95 victory.

Both players combined for 21 of Toronto's 48 attempts from the free throw line.

''It's not just me being aggressive at getting to the free throw line, it's all of us,'' said DeRozan, per the Associated Press. ''If we get teams in the penalty situation early and take advantage of it, that plays a big part of us being successful.''


Raptors PG Kyle Lowry records double-double in opener

(10/29/2014) Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry scored 11 points on 3 of 11 shooting while dishing out 10 assists in his team's 109-102 win over the Hawks in Wednesday's regular-season opener.

Lowry had 17 double-doubles in 79 games last season and was able to eek one out in Wednesday's opener while also recording six rebounds, three steals and one block in 34 minutes. He'll face the Magic Saturday in his next test.


Kyle Lowry returning to Toronto on four-year deal

(7/3/2014) The Raptors will return most of their roster that made a run in the playoffs last season, as guard Kyle Lowry has agree to return on a four-year contract as a free agent.

Lowry's deal will pay him $48 million, and multiple outlets have reported it will contain an early-termination option after the third season. Lowry is coming off the best season of his career, as he averaged 17.9 points, 7.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game in 79 games.  


Kyle Lowry and Luol Deng might be out of Miami's price range

(7/1/2014) Two of Miami's top free agent targets may be financially out of reach, according to multiple reports. ESPN reports that Luol Deng won't be willing to go under his market value to join the Heat, and the starting point of the Raptors' talks with Kyle Lowry is said to be in the $12 million range.

Neither of those seems like a doable scenarios for Miami considering LeBron James reportedly wants a max deal and they still have to find reasonable numbers for Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. We'll never rule anything out when it comes to a dealing Pat Riley, but it's looking like Miami will have to go the cheaper/older route in free agency.

Meanwhile, NBA Insider Ken Berger reports that the Hawks, Mavericks and Clippers are in pursuit of Deng, and Lowry is supposedly a lock to return to Toronto despite fielding interest from several teams. 


Report: Raptors will work quickly to re-sign Kyle Lowry

(6/30/2014) One of the most surprising players of last season will hit the open market in free agency Tuesday, but the Raptors will reportedly make a strong push to retain guard Kyle Lowry as quickly as possible.

Yahoo Sports reported Monday that Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri will make an "aggressive bid" for Lowry when the clock strikes midnight. The hope is to lock up their star point guard before contenders like Miami or Houston can get to him.

Lowry said in a recent interview that he wanted to sign somewhere where he could "play for a championship," so it would be surprising if he didn't at least listen to what some of the league's powerhouses had to offer.


Kyle Lowry's knee injury won't require offseason surgery

(4/28/2014) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry tweaked his right knee at some point in the third game of the opening round of the playoffs against the Nets.

Lowry, who's had issues with his right knee this season, played through the issue and scored 22 points in an 87-79 victory in Brooklyn. He is averaging 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists through four games.

Lowry told Sportsnet.ca the injury will not require surgery in the offseason.

"I'm okay, it's controllable," Lowry said. "We can do what we need to do to get through the playoffs. It's nothing I need surgery for or anything like that. It's definitely a pain, but I'm not going to worry about it, I'm not going to complain about it, I'm just going to do my job."

(4/10/2014) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry got a soft landing in his return from a three-game absence due to a knee injury, as he scored 29 points in a 125-114 win over the 76ers Wednesday.  

Lowry scored his 29 points in 38 minutes, shooting 9 of 19 from the field. He was just 2 for 7 from three-point range but made all nine of his free-throw attempts. Lowry added five rebounds and eight assists without a turnover, as well.

(4/9/2014) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry is expected to be in uniform Wednesday against the 76ers, after missing three games with a knee injury. It is not known whether he will be limited in his role, but the team announced he will be active, at the very least.

The Raptors will likely be careful with Lowry in his return to action, with just four games remaining until the playoffs.

Raptors coach Dwane Casey told the team's play-by-play broadcaster Lowry's absence is more of a precaution at this point. The Raptors have plenty of time off before their next game, set for Wednesday against the 76ers, so he could be back by then.

(3/31/2014) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry left Monday's loss to the Heat with a sore left knee in the third quarter and was unable to return, the team announced. Head coach Dwane Casey told the Associated Press after the game that Lowry's knee swelled up.

Lowry finished the game with 11 points, four assists and one rebound. He came in averaging 17.5 points, 7.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game this season. His status for Wednesday against Houston remains uncertain.

He also chipped in with six rebounds and five assists while logging 34 minutes of game action. He is averaging 20.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists over his last five games.

(3/20/2014) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry had had no trouble playing over the last few days, despite taking a shot to the head over the weekend. He topped the 20-point mark for the third straight game Wednesday, in a 107-100 win over the Pelicans.

Lowry played 37 minutes in the win, over topping 40 in each of the team's previous two games. He scored 23 points on 6 of 18 shooting, with three 3-pointers made, and he also went 8 for 10 from the free-throw line.  He also added eight rebounds and five assists to his line, though he turned the ball over six times as well.

Lowry is enjoying a career year at the right time, as he heads into free agency this summer. He is averaging career-highs of 17.2 points and 7.9 assists per game, while also adding 4.7 rebounds.
