News: Even though forward Paul Millsap knows he may have played his final game in a Jazz uniform, he insists he is not stressing out about the prospects on being a free agent. "Im not a psychic. I dont know, Millsap told the Deseret News when asked if he would back with the Jazz next year. I've got to wait and see what happens. Im going to rest and be with my family. I dont even want to imagine that.
Analysis: Most don't think the Jazz will be able to keep both Millsap and Al Jefferson, so there is a chance his days in Utah may be numbered. The 28-year-old saw a dip in his production this past season as he averaged 14.6 ppg and 7.1 rebounds, which is nearly two rebounds and points less than he averaged during the 2011-12 campaign. Fantasy owners will have to keep an eye on where Millsap lands over the summer. As long as remains a starter, owners should plan on scooping him up somewhere in the early-to-middle rounds of most formats next fall.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap notched his 17th double-double of the season during Friday's win over the Hornets. Millsap finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the 95-83 victory on 10 of 16 shooting from the field. He went 4 of 5 from the charity stripe and also added seven assists, one block and one steal to his stat line, while logging 39 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Millsap has been a bit of a disappointment this year as his numbers have been down across the board. However, he entered Friday's tilt averaging 14.9 points and 7.1 rebounds on the year, so owners could do a lot worse than by rolling with the 27-year-old. Continue to roll with Millsap as a viable starting option in all formats over the final few games of the regular season.

Analysis: Millsap has had a down campaign thus far and is not doing a ton of work on the boards of late. He entered Sunday averaging 11.8 points with six rebounds and 2.4 steals in the previous five contests. Still, Millsap remains productive enough to keep active in the majority of Fantasy formats.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap was back in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Thunder, after missing the teams previous two games due to knee inflammation. Millsap was ostensibly healthy for the game, but he did not seem to be himself, as he finished with seven points on 1 of 5 shooting in just 20 minutes. He did add seven rebounds, one assist and three steals, as the Jazz fell, 110-87.
Analysis: The Thunder have emerged as one of the leagues toughest defenses, so some struggles after time off should not come as a huge surprise. Millsap has missed four of the last eight games, and is averaging 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in that span. Millsap could end up losing playing time down the stretch of the season if he is not fully healthy, as he is an impending free agent with some younger players behind him on the depth chart. Still, he remains productive enough that Fantasy owners should continue to keep him active in all formats, when healthy.

Millsap had missed four of the teams previous seven games due to a variety of injuries. "Grateful that it wasnt more serious," Millsap said, "but I can get out here and get my body right and try to make this run coming down the stretch."
Analysis: Millsap remains a steady, dependable option whenever he is healthy enough to take the floor, so Fantasy owners should be glad that he is back. Millsap is averaging 16.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the previous 10 games. Millsap is worth getting active in most Fantasy formats, now that he is healthy.

Analysis: Millsap was unable to get his knee loose Monday night and will now miss his second straight game. The Jazz are slated to play three times during Fantasy Week 20 (March 11-17), which means Millsap will still be able to play in two games, assuming he returns by Wednesday. The 28-year-old is averaging 15.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season, making him a high-end option in all formats when healthy.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap (knee) is considered doubtful for Monday's game against Detroit after missing the morning shootaround, The Salt Lake Tribune reports. If he is unable to play against the Pistons, Derrick Favors is expected to draw the start in his absence.
Analysis: Millsap appears to have avoided a more serious injury after he was initially diagnosed with right knee inflammation. The 28-year-old could opt to take a seat against lowly Detroit in order to preserve his health for the Jazz's push toward the postseason. He is averaging 15.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season, and should be considered a solid Fantasy option in the majority of formats when healthy.

Millsap also posted three steals and three assists while playing 44 minutes.
Analysis: Millsap recorded his first double-double since Feb. 12 on Monday and appears to be over his ankle injury. His scoring and rebounding have taken a slight hit this season but the 28-year-old continues to shoot well and is averaging over a steal and block per game. Millsap puts up consistent production and remains a solid option in the majority of Fantasy formats.

Analysis: Millsap's injury was not considered serious at the time, so once he gets settled back in after the birth of his child, the 28-year-old should be ready to return to the lineup. We'll continue to keep an eye on his progress moving forward. The Jazz don't play again until Monday against the Bucks, so he'll have a few days to recover before the start of Week 19 (March 4-10). Millsap is averaging 17.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks over his previous five contests, so consider him a high-end start in all formats when healthy.
News: The Deseret News reports that Jazz forward Paul Millsap missed practice Thursday because he is expecting the birth of his child. It is unknown if Millsap would have practiced anyway after he missed Wednesday's game against Atlanta because of an ankle injury. Millsap is being considered day to day, and the Jazz next play against Charlotte on Friday.
Analysis: Fantasy owners will have to check back prior to Friday's game against the Bobcats to see if Millsap is active. When healthy, Millsap should be in all lineups, and we hope this injury doesn't keep him out for an extended period of time.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap was ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Hawks due to sprained left ankle. Millsap sustained his injury during Utah's overtime loss to the Celtics on Monday night, but played through the injury. He is being considered day to day at this point. Its just him taking care of himself, coach Tyrone Corbin told the team's official website.
Analysis: Millsap's injury is not being considered serious at this point, but it could end up costing him two of Utah's three scheduled games this week. Keep the 27-year-old active in the majority of formats, when healthy.
News: The trade deadline passed Thursday without the Jazz dealing either power forward Paul Millsap or center Al Jefferson, leaving intact a team that is seven games above .500 entering the stretch run toward the playoffs. Millsap and Jefferson have been considered trade bait because of their expiring contracts. The team has seven players with expiring contracts and only $25 million in salary commitments for next season. The 6-foot-8 Millsap was considered the most expendable, not because he wasn't producing but because third-year pro Derrick Favors is waiting in the wings. Millsap has started all 55 games for the Jazz this season, averaging 15 points and 7.4 rebounds. The 21-year-old Favors is averaging 9.4 points and 6.2 rebounds and is the team's top shot-blocker with 70.
Analysis: Millsap should continue to post solid stats with the Jazz and remains a quality Fantasy option in all leagues moving forward. Keep him active in all formats as long as he's healthy.

Analysis: Millsap just put up 25 points and 10 rebounds on Wednesday against New Orleans and is averaging 15 points and 4.8 boards per game over his last five. Millsap also contributed four steals and a block in 31 minutes of playing time for the Jazz.
Analysis: Millsap's name has surfaced in persistent trade rumors recently, but he continues to be an active member of Utah's starting lineup. However, his consistency has been lacking during his seventh NBA season as his scoring and rebounding averages have sunk to their lowest levels since the 2009-10 campaign. Millsap still has the potential for 10-plus boards on a given night and should remain active in all Fantasy formats.
News: Utah power forward Paul Millsap continues to attract trade interest from several teams, including the Nets, Bucks and Nuggets, reports FOX Sports Sunday. Millsap's expiring contract makes him an alluring target. Millsap is averaging 16.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 block and is shooting 47 percent from the field over his last five games.
Analysis: Millsap has recorded one double-double in his last five games and continues to have a solid year for the Jazz. He's putting up 14.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and almost a block per game. With numbers like that, it makes sense he's an attractive trade chip. That said, regardless of where he ends up, he'll remain a viable Fantasy option across the board.

Analysis: Millsap recorded his first double-double since Dec. 12 on Friday and bounced back in a big way after not posting a rebound his last time out. He has gotten off to a slow start this season but hopefully this performance will help him get back on track. Keep an eye on the 27-year-old going forward but since he can go off for a double-double at any point, keep Millsap active in the majority of Fantasy formats.

Derrick Favors continues to cut into his playing time but the 27-year-old has more experience so keep an eye on the situation going forward. Millsap has proven over the last few seasons to be a reliable option in Fantasy so keep him active in the majority of formats at this point.
News: ESPN.com reported Saturday that front-office executives around the league expect the Jazz to trade either center Al Jefferson or forward Paul Millsap by the Feb. 21 trade deadline. Both front-court starters are eligible to become free agents at the years end, and the report indicates that the Jazz will look to move one in order to acquire a high-end starting point guard. The move would also open up room for Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter, recent top-5 draft picks who have been unable to see big minutes with the Jazzs current front-court set up.
Analysis: Jefferson and Millsap are both enjoying excellent seasons yet again, though their numbers are down from last season. Jefferson averages 17.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, while Millsap is contributing 15.3 points and 8.4 rebounds. A move would benefit both players, regardless of who actually ends up getting traded, so this will definitely be something to keep an eye on as the season moves forward. Both players remain high-end Fantasy options in all formats, no matter where they play.

He's got three straight games with at least 20 points and nine rebounds and is averaging 20.6 points and 8.6 boards per game over his last five. Millsap is improving his field goal percentage with each passing game and should be active in just about all leagues and formats in Fantasy play right now.

Analysis: Millsap had been in a bit of a funk of late as he was averaging just 10.9 points and 7.2 rebounds over his previous nine games heading into Wednesday's contest. However, the 27-year-old was finally able to get himself back on track a bit against the Magic, which will hopefully get him going again. While Millsap has been splitting minutes with Derek Favors at power forward, he could be in for a bit of a boost over the next few games with Favors and now Al Jefferson dealing with injuries. Despite his recent struggles, Fantasy owners should stick with Millsap for the time being.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap scored a season-low five points and grabbed five rebounds during Utah's 105-103 win over Denver on Monday night. Millsap earned the start, but logged the same amount of minutes as reserve Derrick Favors (24) at power forward. He attempted only five shots from the field and connected on two of them while finishing 1 for 3 from the free-throw line. He is averaging just 8.8 points over his last five games.
Analysis: Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin's constant rotation between Millsap and Favors has reached maddening levels as Millsap remained on the bench the entire fourth quarter Monday for the second straight game. He continues to cite a pregame plan for the rotation and the two players' playing time could vary depending on situations. Favors finished with 14 more points than Millsap, but the latter is still receiving more minutes (30.3 to 24.1). Fantasy owners should continue to monitor the situation and hope Corbin provides some clarity on the growing issue.

Analysis: Millsap is averaging 21 points with 9.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in his last five contests while shooting 55 percent. He is also making half of his 3-pointers over that span as he has already made a career-high 10 buckets from beyond the arc thus far. The added long ball to his repertoire has increased his scoring of late and the 27-year-old is also doing a solid job on the boards thus far. Continue to view Millsap as a solid option in all Fantasy formats at this point.

Millsap added nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots in the winning performance.

News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap had a season-high 18 points and 13 rebounds during Utah's 94-81 win over Phoenix on Saturday night. Analysis: Millsap has been productive early for the Jazz and entered Saturday's outing with sturdy averages of 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He has the ability to post double-doubles on a nightly basis as long as he earns sufficient playing time and he is currently averaging just under 30 minutes a game as Utah continues to give Derrick Favors minutes. Still, he remains a high-end option in all Fantasy formats for now.

Analysis: Millsap has gotten off to a productive start this season and has surprised owners with his blocks and three-point shooting. He is 5 for 6 from beyond the arc through four games and continues to post a healthy amount of points and rebounds. While he sometimes gets overshadowed by Al Jefferson in Utah, the 27-year-old more than holds his own in Fantasy. Keep Millsap active as a must-start option.

Milsap added three assists and a steal while logging in 33 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Millsap picked up where he left off with his first double-double of the year. He had 21 double-doubles last year during a strike-shortened season, so we expect that number to raise in 2012-13. Milsap is expecetd to see a bump in his offensive productions, despite spliting some minutes with Derrick Favors at power forward. That said, he still has some room to grow and should be viewed as a high-end Fantasy option moving forward.
News: In a surprise, the Salt Lake Tribune reported Saturday that Jazz forward Paul Millsap will be in an old-school, winner-take-all battle with third-year forward Derrick Favors for the starting power forward spot. Millsap has been the team's starter for the last two seasons, averaging 17.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, however Favors development as a defensive presence inside, as well as Millsaps pending free agency might cause the team to turn towards the future. For his part, Millsap does not seem worried about the future. "I know what I can do. I know my capabilities. Everybody else [does] too," he said. "Itll sink in when it happens. But right now, Im still with the Utah Jazz. Im still going to go out there and play basketball for them and give it everything I got."
Analysis: It is not clear how Millsaps role would change if he moved to a reserve role, as the team will still likely give him plenty of minutes. It would obviously not be a good sign for his long-term future with the team, but he might actually see a bump in offensive production if he were the teams primary focus with the second unit. That does not seem likely, however, given his borderline All-Star play over the last two seasons, and the Jazzs likely status as a playoff contender. While Millsap is older than Favors, he is still just 27 years old, and likely still has some room to grow. He might take a small step back this season with Favors continued emergence, however he should still be one of the top forwards in Fantasy, and should be off the board after the first few rounds on Draft Day.

He also added eight rebounds to his stat line to go along with three assists, three steals and one block, while logging 39 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Millsap was being considered a game-time decision entering the contest, but sure didn't play like it. However, his wrist injury will likely be an issue for the him the rest of the season, meaning owners will have to keep an eye on his status moving forward. Still, Millsap proved more than capable of playing through his ailment against the Hornets, so leave him active in all formats as long as he is in the lineup.
News: The Jazz report that forward Paul Millsap is doubtful for Friday's game at New Orleans. Millsap is dealing with a sprained wrist suffered during Wednesdays game against the Rockets.

Analysis: Millsap has been tremendous for the Jazz this season, and has even stepped up his game slightly recently, averaging 17.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game on 53.9 percent shooting over the last 10 days. This injury comes at a bad time for the Jazz, as well as for Millsaps Fantasy owners, who will have to hope that he can simply play through the pain, as he remains a high-end Fantasy starter in all formats.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap played as excpected on Sunday against the Spurs, however he did not appear to be himself, as he scored a season-low two points on 1 of 8 shooting in just 21 minutes in a 114-104 loss. He added just three rebounds an also had three turnovers in the game.
Analysis: Millsap also played his fewest minutes of the season, as he did not appear to be in the best of shape after spending a few days dealing with an illness. The fact that Utah was out of the game for long stretches probably contributed to his limited minutes. He should be fine going forward, as he continues to recover. Consider him a high-end Fantasy option moving forward.

Leave the 27-year-old active in all formats over the final few weeks of the season.

Millsap finished the game with 14 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the field while grabbing six rebounds in just 28 minutes. Millsap also had one assist and one block, while extending his team lead in steals with two more.
Analysis: Millsap has been a model of consistency this season; He is averaging 16.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in 31.6 minutes over the last five, compared to 15.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 31.6 minutes for the season as a whole. He is, night in and night out, one of the top options in the league at the forward spot. Continue to consider him a must-start Fantasy option in all formats.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap is a rarity in the NBA, as he is a big man who leads his team in steals on the season. Still, despite his knack for steals, he had an outrageous showing on Thursday, recording eight steals as the Jazz defeated the Timberwolves, 111-105, in overtime. He also scored 16 points on 7 of 17 shooting and had 11 rebounds, though he did miss a game-winning layup as time ran out in the fourth quarter. He made up for that by getting three of his steals in overtime, leading to easy points and helping the Jazz come out on time. "Our team had fought too hard to lose that game, so I had to be aggressive," Millsap said. "We have too much on the line as we try and get into the playoffs. We're right there but we have to leave it all out on the court every game."
Analysis: Millsapp is now averaging 1.9 steals per game on the season, good for fifth in the league. That is a rare talent for a big man, as he is the only power forward or center in the top 15. Millsap has been one of the top Fantasy forwards in the league this year, averaging 15.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and .7 blocks along with his nice steal numbers. He is a high-end Fantasy option in all Fantasy formats moving forward.

He went 4 of 5 from the free-throw line and also added seven rebounds, four steals and one assist to his stat line, while logging 35 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Millsap is putting together another very solid campaign for the Jazz and is shooting lights out over his last five contests. He is making 54 percent of his shots over that stretch and has been Utah's second most consistent player behind Al Jefferson. Despite his scoring being a bit down from last season, Millsap can be considered a high-end Fantasy option in all formats heading into Week 12 (March 12-18). The Jazz are slated to play five times during the upcoming scoring period.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap returned to the court on Friday night against Miami after missing Wednesday's game with a severely bruised left heel. Millsap added eight boards and a block in Utah's 99-98 win.
Analysis: Millsap is having a good year for the Jazz, but this heel issue has slowed him down recently. Over his last four games he's averaging 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest, while shooting 44.7 percent from the field. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Millsap to see how he plays on Saturday to see if he starts to pick up some steam. If so consider him a viable forward option for Week 11 (March 5-11).
News: The Deseret News reports that Jazz forward Paul Millsap, who sat out Wednesday's game against the Rockets with a severely bruised left heel, will play Friday night against Heat. Millsap admitted his foot is still tender, but he said he's good to go against Miami. "I'm feeling good," Millsap said after Friday morning's shootaround. "I feel like I can get out there and compete, so I'm going to give it a try."

News: The Standard-Examiner reports Wednesday that Utah power forward Paul Millsap, who sustained a left heel injury during Tuesday night's contest against the Kings, could not play in Wednesday's game against Houston. Millsap has a severe left heel bruise and X-rays came back negative. Still, Millsap could be limited for a while.
Analysis: Heel injuries generally are easy to aggravate and require plenty of rest so Millsap might have some trouble getting back on the court in the near future. As long as Millsap is missing time, Derrick Favors is probably an excellent replacement. Millsap can be considered a viable Fantasy forward in all formats, when healthy.

He is averaging a near double-double for the season (15.8 ppg and 9.3 rpg) and should be viewed as a high-end No. 2 Fantasy forward in all formats.

The 27-year-old has been able to bust out of slumps similar to this before so keep an eye on his progress going forward. Analysis: Millsap did not play well on Monday, but just missed what would have been his third-straight double-double. Millsap is, in fact, averaging 14.6 points and 11.8 boards per game over his last five. He's been playing well, and can be active in most Fantasy formats across the board.

Analysis: Millsap has been red-hot of late and is more than making up for his slow start this season. The 26-year-old is averaging 21.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 steals over his last five contests and is shooting 56 percent from the field over that stretch. While Utah is slated to play just three times during Fantasy Week 5 (Jan. 23-29), owners should leave Millsap active heading into the upcoming scoring period.

He is averaging 20.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 steals over his last five contests and is shooting 49 percent from the field over that stretch. While his numbers are still a bit down from last season, Fantasy owners should get Millsap active in the majority of formats, while he is heating up. The Jazz are slated to play the Clippers, Mavericks and Timberwolves during Week 4 (Jan. 16-22).
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap has been shooting the ball well lately and that trend continued on Wednesday night against the Lakers. He went 14 for 24 from the field and finished with a season-high 29 points in the 90-87 overtime loss. He hauled in nine rebounds while playing 41 minutes. He is also shooting a solid 64 percent from the floor over that span with 2.2 assists. While his scoring is not as prolific as it was a year ago, his ability to fill up the stat sheet has helped Fantasy owners early on. He and Al Jefferson give the Jazz a solid frontcourt and he should be able to pick up his scoring as the season goes on. Continue to roll with Millsap as a solid option in the majority of Fantasy formats.

Analysis: Millsap has certainly taken advantage of being inserted back into the starting lineup as he finished two rebounds shy of his season high during Tuesday's game. However, he has still been plagued by inconsistency as his scoring hasn't remained steady. Still, he remains a better scoring option that F Derrick Favors and should be considered a solid starting option in the majority of Fantasy formats during Week 2 (Jan. 2-8).
News: Through two games coming off the bench in place of Derrick Favors, Jazz F Paul Millsap has averaged just 24.5 minutes per game. In that time, he is averaging 15.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, solid numbers. However beginning on Friday against Philadelphia, hell be back in the starting lineup with a chance to improve upon that performance with a bigger role on the team.
Analysis: Millsap averaged 34.3 minutes per game in 76 games as a starter last season, so were likely about to see an increase in his time on the floor. The Jazz had experimented with Favors in the starting lineup and Millsap off the bench, but after losing their first two games by a combined 42 points, they are looking for a change. Millsap, who posted a career-high 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds last season, would be more valuable as a starter but remains a viable option in the majority of Fantasy leagues.
News: After dealing with a quad injury during the preseason, Jazz F Paul Millsap showed no signs of it on Tuesday night against the Lakers. He scored 18 points and hauled in eight rebounds, including six on the offensive glass in the 96-71 loss. He made 7 of 15 shots, missing his lone attempt from downtown, and converted 4 of 6 free throws. Millsap, who played 27 minutes off the bench, also had a blocked shot in the defeat.
Analysis: Millsap had a solid showing in his season debut, despite coming off the bench in favor of Derrick Favors. No word yet on whether or not he will be returning to the starting lineup soon or if the Jazz want to utilize his talents off the bench so keep an eye on the situation going forward. Millsap, who posted a career-high 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds last season, would be more valuable as a starter but remains a viable option in the majority of Fantasy leagues.
News: Utah F Paul Millsap will not be in the starting lineup for the Jazz's season opener against the Lakers on Tuesday night, according to the Salt Lake City Tribune. Instead, F Derrick Favors will start in place of Millsap, who is considered a game-time decision with nagging right quadriceps tendinitis. "It's frustrating," Millsap said. "I'm not going to complain. If coaches say it's best for the team, it's best for the team."
Analysis: This might not be a short-term scenario for Millsap, who posted a career-high 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds last season. Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said he told Millsap this was not a relegation of his play. "I dont want him to think of it is a demotion, I want everyone to be ready to play," Corbin told reporters. It's possible the Jazz want Millsap to be completely healthy before returning to the starting lineup as there's no clear reason for the team to bench arguably its best player. Fantasy owners should consider him a solid option when healthy.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap missed both of Utahs preseason contests with right quadriceps tendinitis, but he is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, saying Friday that there is "no doubt" he would be ready. Even if he is healthy and up to speed, he may lose starts to second-year F Derrick Favors, who got the start in the final preseason game against Portland. Well see, Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin told The Salt Lake Tribune. There may be times when we start him and there may be times when we bring him off the bench. It depends on what matchups we have.
Analysis: The Jazz have also discussed using Millsap at the small forward position, as they have a glut of power forwards and centers on the roster, and Millsap is the only one of them who could make the transition to the wing somewhat smoothly. He averaged a career-high 17.3 points-per game with 7.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 2.5 assists in 2010-11. Consider him an early-round pick on Draft Day, but obviously his value will be affected by the presence of the talented Favors.

News: Utah F Paul Millsap has reportedly added muscle to his frame and an improved outside jump shot to his repertoire in anticipation of a possible move to small forward in 2011-12. However he understands that theres a possibility that the Jazz may move him before the start of the season. "Some things you can't control. I can't control where I go. What happens happens. I expect to play basketball. That's it," he said on Thursday, as he worked out for the first time in the Jazz practice facility. Millsap is working for the potential move to small forward as the Jazz try to work in former first-round pick Derrick Favors into a frontcourt lineup that already includes Millsap and Al Jefferson.
Analysis: Millsap isnt at all a prototypical small forward, but he does feature a decent jump shot and is the smallest of the Jazzs three frontcourt options. The Jazz used Millsap, Favors and Jefferson in the same lineup for only a total of 57 minutes last season, so it would certainly be a new experiment for them. He averaged a career-high 17.3 points per game with 7.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 2.5 assists in 2010-11. Millsaps rebounding numbers would almost certainly take a hit playing further from the basket, and he could also struggle with offensive efficiency if he has to take more jump shots to space the floor. The best-case scenario for Millsaps Fantasy value could be a trade, so keep an eye on his situation before the start of the season. Consider him an early-round pick on Draft Day, with the potential to break out even more if he finds a new team.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap could be available via a traded, reports ESPN.com on Monday. The Indianapolis Star is reporting that the Pacers could have interest in acquiring Millsap's services. With Utah having traded for Derrick Favors, they have a plethora of frontcourt talent.
Analysis: Millsap broke out last season for Utah as he averaged a career-high 17.3 points per game to go with 7.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 2.5 assists. Millsap could become a Fantasy stud playing with Indiana, so Fantasy owners will want to pay close attention to where he lands. If he stays with Utah, he could become the team's starting center, which would add to his position eligibility and give him added Fantasy value. Fantasy owners should target Millsap, who was last year's 19th highest-scoring forward in CBSSports.com Fantasy leagues, with an early-round draft pick.
News: After expecting to play in a reserve role this season, Utah forward Paul Millsap surprised many onlookers with arguably the best campaign of his career. The 26-year-old Millsap started in place of the injured Mehmet Okur at the beginning of the season and excelled early for the Jazz. Okur managed only 13 games this year and was shut down for the remainder of the season on March 16. He posted four double-doubles in his first six games of the season as he evolved into a consistent scoring option. Millsap finished with a career-high 17.3 points per game and pulled down 7.6 rebounds per game. He ultimately finished with 19 double-doubles, second on the team behind Al Jefferson (37) at the end of the season.
Analysis: Millsap combined with Jefferson to form an effective frontcourt for Utah this season as the Jazz missed a playoff spot by seven games. Millsap, who averaged a career-high 34.3 minutes, also appeared unfazed by the departure of star point guard Deron Williams. He still posted solid point totals, including a pair of 30-point games in four days during March. However, Millsap wore down at the end of the season and missed five consecutive games at the beginning of March with a knee injury. Utah is already exploring the possibility of utilizing Millsap at center for next season to keep his sterling production in the starting lineup. Fantasy owners should target Millsap, the 19th highest-scoring forward in CBSSports.com Fantasy leagues, with an early-round draft pick next season.
News: Despite dealing with flu-like symptoms, Jazz F Paul Millsap was able to play in Monday's 90-78 win over the Hornets. Millsap, who missed practice on Sunday with his illness, finished with 16 points in the victory on 8 of 13 shooting from the field. He missed his lone free-throw attempt but added six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block to his stat line while logging 34 minutes.
Analysis: When the season started many though Millsap would remain Utah's top bench producer. However, with Mehmet Okur missing almost the entire season due injury, the 26-year-old stepped into the starting lineup and had had a career season with the Jazz. Millsap averaged career highs in almost every single offensive category during the 2010-11 campaign, including minutes (34.2). He proved very capable of playing alongside Al Jefferson and was even able to continue to get his numbers when Deron Williams was traded away to the Nets. Utah is already exploring the possibility of Millsap playing some center next season, which means they are looking for ways to keep him in the lineup. He has continued to do nothing but fill up the stat sheet on a nightly basis and has now moved himself into the top-tier of Fantasy forwards around the league. Fantasy owners shouldn't hesitate to spend an early-round pick on Millsap on Draft Day next season.

News:The Deserest news reports that Jazz forward Paul Millsap missed Sunday's practice to deal with an illness. His throat was reportedly bothering him after Saturday's game in San Antonio. The report suggested that Millsap should be "good to go" for Monday's game against the Hornets.
Analysis: Millsap should be fine for Monday, so there shouldn't be too much worry for Fantasy owners. Still, the situation should be monitored in the next 24 hours just to make sure he suits up for Monday's tilt. Though he is expected to play, there's no telling on how much coach Tyrone Corbin will play his star forward coming off of the illness. If he plays his normal role and amount of minutes, Millsap is a high-end option in all formats because of his superb all-around ability to fill up the stat sheet each night.
News: The game was already decided, but Jazz forward Paul Millsap nailed a 3-pointer as the game wound down. He finished with 19 points and 10 boards, good for his 19th double-double of the year on Thursday night against the Trail Blazers. Millsap shot 7 for 15 from the floor and connected on 4 of his 7 foul shots. He chipped in an assist and two steals in his 38 minutes on the court. Utah would end up losing to Portland, 98-87.
Analysis: Despite Utah being out of the playoffs, Millsap has been having a career year. He may have lost his coach and point guard, but still goes out there and produces for the Jazz and Fantasy owners. He's averaging 18.0 points, 6.4 boards and 2.2 steals per game over his last five contests. Millsap is shooting 47.3 percent over that span as well. Fantasy owners should keep him active for the remainder of the season as he's a high-end forward option.
News: After missing five straight games with an ongoing knee issue, Jazz F Paul Millsap returned with a bang Sunday against the Rockets. He was expected to have his minutes monitored going into the game, but he ended up seeing 39 minutes off of the bench. Millsap made the most of the extra time, scoring a game-high 35 points on 12 of 18 shooting. He also pulled down 10 rebounds, securing his first double-double since late February. The versatile big man was no slouch defensively, blocking three shots and recording a steal on the night. Millsap even assisted on four baskets in a grind-it-out effort that fell just short for Utah.
Analysis: Millsap has been able to practice, but the team has wanted him to return to full strength before a return. We don't know if he was 100 percent, but he sure played like it. Millsap has always been a competitor, and he did it any way possible Sunday night. With the team down multiple possessions with under one minute remaining, he even turned to his rarely used 3-point game (just 11 attempts all season going into the game). Millsap drained a pair of long-range shots to keep the Jazz in it, but the Rockets hit every single one of their free throws down the stretch. Fantasy owners have built frustration while he was out of the lineup, but his effort in the return should help to ease it some. We're confident in his ability when healthy, and Millsap should be used as a high-end Fantasy option moving forward.
News: The team's official website reports that Jazz F Paul Millsap will return to action on Sunday night in Houston following the team's morning shootaround. He had missed the team's previous five games. Well watch [Millsap's] minutes, coach Tyrone Corbin said. Hes been pretty sharp [at practice]. Hes excited to be back, and you got to watch that excitement and make sure he doesnt go out and do too much too early and get hurt again.
Analysis: Millsap will have limited minutes, but they will be on his terms. He averaged 19.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in February and remains a top-notch Fantasy play whenever he's healthy. Fantasy owners in weekly formats should use Sunday's game as a measuring stick for Fantasy Week 22 (March 21-27), but we estimate he'll be back to good form for the four-game scoring period.
News: The Deseret News reports Friday that forward Paul Millsap will practice. He has missed the past five games with patellar tendinitis in his left knee and will be considered a game-time decision for Sunday's game at Houston. "I've been strengthening it. I had time to strengthen both knees, both legs and they feel strong right now, so it feels better."
Analysis: We hope that Millsap can return against the Rockets and play at a high level. The Jazz play four games in Fantasy Week 22, and Millsap is a quality Fantasy option in all leagues when healthy. If he returns against Houston and plays well then keep him active for the next scoring period.

Analysis: Millsap has been fighting pain in his knee for at least a week now, and the Jazz will likely give him time to heal. Fantasy owners should use caution when setting your lineup since Millsap might not be able to play in Fantasy Week 21 when the Jazz have three games. When healthy, Millsap is a quality Fantasy option in all leagues.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap was unavailable for Saturday's contest against the Bulls as he continues to deal with a knee injury. Milsap thought he would be able to play against Chicago but decided against playing after testing out his knee during pregame warm-ups. "It's a tough thing a tough pill to swallow," Millsap told the Deseret News . "I just want to get back onto the court." He remains listed as day to day.
Analysis: Millsap tried to give it a go on Saturday, but said he was in too much pain to play. He continues to be bothered by patellar tendinitis in his left knee, which has now kept him out for three straight games. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor his status moving forward, although he will now be an injury risk heading into Fantasy Week 21 (March 14-20). The Jazz play three times during the upcoming scoring period against the Sixers, Timberwolves and Rockets. Millsap can be considered a must-start in all formats, when healthy.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz forward Paul Millsap is out for Friday's game at Minnesota. Millsap, who missed Wednesday's game against Toronto, is dealing with soreness in his knee.
Analysis: The Jazz are likely giving Millsap time to rest with the hope that he can finish the year at 100 percent. He has tried to play through the injury, but his production has been limited. Keep Millsap reserved in all leagues until he proves that he's healthy, and hopefully he will not be out long with this knee problem.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz forward Paul Millsap, who missed Wednesday's game with a knee injury, will be considered a game-time decision for Friday's game at Minnesota. Millsap plans to test his knee Thursday with a possible light practice.
Analysis: Fantasy owners in daily leagues should use caution when setting their lineup in case Millsap is out Friday as well. When healthy, Millsap is a quality Fantasy option in all leagues, and hopefully his knee can get back to 100 percent before the season ends.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap was unavailable for Wednesday's game against Toronto. Millsap has been dealing with pain in his knee, and he has been limited the past two games with the injury. His knee will be re-evaluated before Friday's game against the Timberwolves.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz F Paul Millsap did not practice with the team on Tuesday after leaving Monday's game with pain in his knee. Millsap is considered a game-time decision for Wednesday's game in Toronto. Millsap had been considered a game-time decision for Monday's game against New York as well. He played, but only managed 23 minutes of action before having to remove himself from the game.
Analysis: It appears this issue will continue to bother Millsap, at least in the short term. Fantasy owners in daily leagues might not want to get burned again by Millsap -- even if he is cleared to play again -- until he can prove that he can make it through a full game without issue. Millsap is a high-end Fantasy starter when healthy, but that is just not the case right now. Continue to monitor his progress.
News: After giving it a go in Monday's game against the Knicks while dealing with knee pain, Jazz F Paul Millsap couldn't finish the night. He left the game in the third quarter amidst a blowout and did not return. Millsap played 23 minutes before he couldn't tolerate it anymore, scoring four points on 2 of 6 shooting. He assisted on five baskets and pulled down three rebounds in limited time.
Analysis: Millsap has tried to tough this knee injury out on several occasions, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. We figure the Jazz will try to rest him, though they need all the help they can get on the offensive end of the floor to compliment Al Jefferson after the departure of Deron Williams. He will likely be re-evaluated on Tuesday, but the ongoing issue will need to be treated yet again. Millsap said he will have to deal with the pain, so hopefully it's not a new matter. When healthy, he is a high-end Fantasy option in all formats. Stay tuned.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports Jazz F Paul Millsap (knee) will play Monday against the Knicks. He was originally considered a game-time decision.
Analysis: Millsap has been dealing with "series'' pain in the knee, but he's going to give it a go anyway. He has played with a few different braces on the knee, so we expect him to be somewhat limited Monday. Fantasy owners should trust him well enough to keep him active in all Fantasy formats, 100 percent or not.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz F Paul Millsap (knee) is considered a game-time decision for Monday's game in New York. Millsap left Saturday's game against the Kings with a sore left patella tendon in the third quarter.
Analysis: The report noted that Millsap is dealing with "serious" pain and has been dealing with a knee issue even prior to Saturday's game. He said that he must be smart about the injury after being "hardheaded" initially by trying to play on. Fantasy owners in weekly formats should consider him an injury-risk play for Fantasy Week 20 (March 7-13), but the Jazz are slated for four games. Three of those games come against very favorable, high-volume opposition (@NY, @TOR, @MIN). He is a much safer play in average-based leagues than in cumulative formats, but he is worth the gamble in any scenario.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap left Saturday's game against the Kings with a sore left patella tendon in the third quarter. He went to the locker room twice before the final decision to hold him out was made, he even tried switching knee braces to try and ease the pain. Millsap finished the night with 12 points on 4 of 8 shooting in 20 minutes of limited time. He added seven rebounds and a season-high four blocks.
Analysis: Millsap dealt with a toe issue not too long ago, and now his knee issues catch up with him. He may be in line for some due rest, but the Jazz will need his services heading into the playoff push. Millsap provides a solid compliment to Al Jefferson in the paint, and no other player on the roster is as balanced on both ends of the floor as he is. When healthy, Millsap is a high-end Fantasy option in all formats.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap almost recorded a double-double on Thursday night against the Nuggets as he scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds. But the way he has been playing those numbers are definitely low. He had been averaging 18.2 points, 9.8 boards, 2.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest. Millsap shot 50 percent from the floor on Thursday and connected on both his foul shots. He also contributed two assists, one block and two steals in his 36 minutes of action. The Jazz had a chance to force overtime, but they would fall short, losing to the Nuggets 103-101.
Analysis: Millsap is a career 52.7 percent shooter, which is third best for any Utah player. While he continues to connect at a high rate, 55.9 percent over his last 10 games. Unfortunately the Jazz haven't been able to earn many wins over that span. Regardless if Utah is winning, Millsap should continue to post solid numbers -- for the most part. Despite the acquisition of Derrick Favors, Millsap will continue to get the majority of minutes. Fantasy owners should keep Millsap active as he's a high-end forward option in all category-based formats.
News: Not only did he record his first double-double since February 9 on Friday night, but Utah PF Paul Millsap registered a season-high in boards against the Pacers. He had a balanced game, scoring 23 points on 9 of 18 shooting including 5 of 8 from the free-throw line. On the glass, he pulled down a season-high 18 rebounds, seven on the offensive end. "It seemed like a weight was lifted off our shoulders, getting the first win, and especially getting one for (coach) Ty (Corbin)," Millsap said. "Tonight was for Ty to get his first win. Hopefully, that will start a streak for us."Millsap even blocked two shots on the night, the most he's denied since February 4. He added two assists during 36 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Millsap showed off his full arsenal on both ends of the floor Friday. Offensively, he continued to shoot automatic from the 15-foot range and on crafty drives to the hoop. He crashed the boards all night long on his way to a season's best total. The former Louisiana Tech star has transitioned well to the NBA in the last four years, and he will assume more of a role on the team now that Deron Williams is wearing Nets colors every night. Fantasy owners should not worry about Utah's acquisition of Derrick Favors, as he struggles to put good games together inside. Millsap is an high-end Fantasy option who should remain active in all formats.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap had a solid performance on Wednesday night in Dallas as the Jazz were without Deron Williams for the first time and also without the players they got in the trade for him. Millsap picked up the slack by scoring 18 points on 8 of 17 shooting over 33 minutes. He grabbed nine rebounds and also had four steals in the game.
Analysis: Millsap has played well for the Jazz and has averaged almost 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game over his last five contests. He could have some company when Derrick Favors comes to town but Millsap should remain the better Fantasy option, at least right away.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap didn't have the best of games on Tuesday night in a one-point loss to the Phoenix Suns. Millsap shot just 5 of 12 from the field and managed 13 points and five rebounds Tuesday. He played 36 minutes and added two assists, one steal and had four personal fouls.
Analysis: Pretty much everything Millsap did on Tuesday was below what he's been averaging recently. He's putting up 17 points per game on the year and that is up to 18 per game over his last 10 contests. We expect more out of Millsap and he usually gives it to us. Consider this just a poor game. Millsap remains worthy of Fantasy use on most occasions.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap (toe) looked healthy on Wednesday night playing against the Bulls. Despite the Jazz taking the loss, Millsap was solid over 37 minutes as he scored 20 points. He went 9 of 17 from the field and added 14 rebounds, two steals and a block. He also had three assists in the performance.
Analysis: While Millsap's scoring can be a little erratic at times, he's always capable of putting up 30-plus like he did on Saturday against the Thunder. He's also having his best offensive season by a mile, averaging 17.1 points, so continue to roll with him in all Fantasy formats.
News: The reports that Jazz PF Paul Millsap (toe) will play Wednesday night against the Bulls.
Analysis: While Millsap's scoring can be a little erratic at times, he's always capable of putting up 30-plus like he did on Saturday against the Thunder. He's also having his best offensive season by a mile, averaging 17.1 points, so continue to roll with him in all Fantasy formats.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap missed practice Tuesday with a bruised toe but is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis: While Millsap's scoring can be a little erratic at times, he's always capable of putting up 30-plus like he did on Saturday against the Thunder. He's also having his best offensive season by a mile, averaging 17.1 points, so continue to roll with him in all Fantasy formats.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap had his second-best scoring night of the year and notched another double-double, but it wasn't enough to beat the surging Thunder on Saturday night. After Friday's six point, six rebound effort, Millsap scored 34 points on stunning 15 of 20 shooting, good for a tie of the best shooting percentage he's seen all season. He continued to patrol the glass for Utah, securing another 10 rebounds in the losing effort. Millsap even assisted on six baskets (one less than career-high) to tie his best effort of the season in 36 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Millsap did everything he could to help the Jazz avoid their 10th home loss of the season, but the Thunder were too much offensively. He did his part, and Fantasy owners continue to enjoy the benefits of a great rebounder who continues to expand his offensive game, even getting into the assist act this season -- recording six dimes on four different occasions already. Millsap has also been one of the more durable NBA stars, missing just one game this year. He remains a must-start option in all leagues moving forward.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap notched 20 points and 11 rebounds in the Jazz's 97-96 loss to Houston on Wednesday night. Millsap, who missed the team's shootaround Wednesday morning and was unable to participate in Tuesday's practice after dislocating the pinkie finger on his left hand, finished 8 of 16 from the field. He added three blocks and two assists while playing 37 minutes -- his fourth consecutive games logging more than 35 minutes.
Analysis: Millsap didn't let the injury keep him off the court as he completed a double-double in back-to-back games for the fourth time this season and tallied his 12th double-double overall. He has had a bit of trouble scoring recently and Wednesday's output was only his second 15-point game in his last six contests. He will remain in Utah's lineup as long as he can tolerate the pain and should be viewed as a must-start in all Fantasy formats.
News: The Utah Jazz announced that F Paul Millsap (pinkie) is considered probable for Wednesday's game against Houston following the team's morning shootaround. Millsap had been unable to practice on Tuesday after dislocating the little finger on his left hand against the Bobcats on Monday. The Ogden Standard-Examiner reports that Millsap said he has limited movement in his left hand, but said if he's on the court he has no excuses. "I'm gonna have to block it out."
Analysis: Millsap had 14 points and 12 rebounds on Monday in 43 minuets and seemed to indicate he is ready to surge after some recent struggles. He also scored 30 points with eight boards on Jan. 28 against Minnesota and remains a very strong play in most formats now that he appears to have avoided a significant injury. Monitor him for setbacks.
News: The Ogden Standard-Examiner reports that Jazz PF Paul Millsap did not practice Tuesday, one day after dislocating the little finger on his left hand against the Bobcats.
Analysis: Millsap just can't get a break with his hands at the moment, as he was dealing with a right thumb injury before he hurt this finger. Hopefully, Millsap can play through the injury, and we'll find on Wednesday if that's the case. When healthy, Millsap is a must-start Fantasy option, so daily league owners should keep a close eye on his status heading into Wednesday's game.
News: Nobody played more minutes for Utah on Monday than did Paul Millsap against the Bobcats. Millsap played 43 minutes and went 5 of 13 from the field to score 14 points with 12 rebounds and a block. All that came with Millsap suffering a minor hand injury in the first quarter. He dislocated his left little finger but returned to the game shortly after and finished strong. Despite his solid play, Millsap is now dealing with a painful right thumb injury and this new injury to the finger on his left hand. X-rays taken after the game came back negative and Millsap is a game-time decision for Wednesday against Houston.
Analysis: Millsap returned to the court on Monday with his left hand heavily wrapped with an ice pack but it didn't seem to bother his game much. The problem, however, is that he now has two bad hands and he could end up missing some time going forward due to these issues. Fantasy owners will want to monitor this going forward. Millsap's been playing like a solid Fantasy option across the board recently, so owners will want to hope he's OK to keep playing.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap scored 30 points for the Jazz on a night when the team was without leading scorer, Deron Williams. Millsap added two assists, eight rebounds and a season-high six steals in his 40 minutes of court time. Utah would go on to beat Minnesota, 108-100. Millsap shot 14 for 25 from the field -- missing his lone 3-point attempt -- and connecting on both his foul shots. He's been dealing with a thumb injury, but didn't seem to let them bother him on Friday.
Analysis: Millsap played just 19 minutes on Wednesday, but was feeling much better on Friday. Over his last five games he's averaging 15.6 points, 1.8 steals and 6.6 rebounds per contest. Fantasy owners are stoked Millsap is finally producing this year. He's been a potential sleeper pick for a few years, but has busted onto the scene as he's a posting a career best in points (16.7) and grabbing 7.7 rebounds per game. Millsap is playing at a high level and should be viewed as a high-end Fantasy forward.
News: The Ogden Standard-Examiner reports that Jazz PF Paul Millsap (thumb) will play Friday against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Millsap was limited by this injury on Wednesday against the Spurs, logged just 19 minutes and putting up only eight points. The thumb is clearly still bothering him, but Millsap is vital to the Jazz's chances of winning, something they haven't been doing much lately. Continue to start Millsap in all formats, but keep a close eye on his stats Friday and Sunday against the Warriors.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap (severely bruised right thumb) did not practice Thursday but is expected to play Friday against the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Millsap was limited by this injury on Wednesday, logged just 19 minutes and putting up only eight points. The thumb is clearly still bothering him, but Millsap is vital to the Jazz's chances of winning, something they haven't been doing much lately. Continue to start Millsap in all formats, but keep a close eye on his stats Friday and Sunday against the Warriors.
News: Playing with right thumb injury, Utah forward Paul Millsap started Wednesday's game against the Spurs, but he logged just 19 minutes of playing time. Millsap shot 4 of 7 from the floor on his way to eight points. He pulled down just three rebounds in the 112-105 loss. "Paul is playing with a hand that is bothering him, they put a bigger guy on him it is hard for him to get shots," coach Jerry Sloan told 1320 K-Fan after the game.
Analysis: The team calls Millsap's injury a severely bruised thumb, and it clearly limited him on Wednesday. The situation needs to be monitored because his numbers took a serious hit despite the tough-it-out effort. Owners should keep an eye on this to see if this thumb injury lingers on. Millsap is having a career year, and should be viewed as a must-start Fantasy forward when completely healthy.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap got the start on Wednesday against San Antonio. He had X-rays taken on his right thumb earlier in the day and the results came back negative. He was listed on the team's injury report with a severely bruised thumb.
Analysis: This thumb issue came out of nowhere it seems, so it's not known how long Millsap has been dealing with pain. Over his last five games he's averaging 11.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists, which are all below his season numbers. Owners should keep an eye on this to see if this thumb injury lingers on. Millsap is having a career year, and should be viewed as a must-start Fantasy forward when healthy.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap had X-rays taken on his right thumb on Wednesday, and the results came back negative, according to the team's official website. He has a severely bruised thumb and the team said he was considered a game-time decision against the Spurs.
Analysis: It's unknown how long his thumb has been bothering him, but one thing is for sure Millsap hasn't been playing his best ball lately. Over his last five games he's averaging 11.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Granted the Jazz as a team are struggling, but Millsap's numbers are down across the board. This is something Fantasy owners should keep their eye on to see how long this injury lingers. When healthy, Millsap is a must-start Fantasy option, as he's having a career year.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap netted a season-low six points in the Jazz's 103-95 loss to New Jersey on Wednesday night. Millsap connected on just 3 of 9 from the field -- just the second time this season he has hit less than four shots -- in 27 minutes of action. He missed his 10th 3-point attempt of the season and added five rebounds as Utah lost its second game in a row.
Analysis: Millsap has been one of the most consistent players on the Jazz this season and leads the team with a 54.1 shooting percentage. However, he has hit on 46 percent of his shots in his last three games and is averaging less than 10 points in that span (9.3). Fantasy owners should view this recent stretch as just a minor slump. He is still averaging 17.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season -- both career highs -- and should be considered a must-start in all Fantasy formats.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap told the Deseret News that Utah excels when they play unselfishly. "When we share the ball, we're a really good team," Millsap said. "When we're unselfish, we're a lot better team." The Jazz had 31 assists on 45 made baskets against the Knicks on Wednesday, which lead to a season-high 131 points. Coach Jerry Sloan said he was pleased with the distribution of the ball and his team's 54 points in the paint. "The big thing is that it's easier to have assists when you set screens and screen people," Sloan said. "I thought we did a better job of setting screens and getting guys open. We had opportunities where we got the ball inside. The ball went inside for easy baskets. That's what you like to see. That's what execution is about."
Analysis: Millsap is finally having that career year all Fantasy owners have been waiting for. Over his last four games, Millsap is averaging 19.8 points, 9.0 boards and 2.5 assists per contest. He's also shooting 52.8 percent from the field over that span, while going 23 for 27 at the charity stripe. The fifth-year forward is excelling this season, which makes him a high-end starting forward in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap recorded 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Jazz's 103-99 overtime victory over Houston on Saturday night. After starting 2 for 8 from the field, Millsap hit 9 of his last 12 shots to finish with his highest point total since Nov. 9 against Miami. he showed no lingering effects of a hip injury he suffered earlier this week and notched his ninth double-double of the season. "They were leaving me open and Deron (Williams) was getting me the ball," he said. "We all get a feeling like that every now and then, where you feel like you're not going to miss." Millsap, who scored 11 of his points in the fourth quarter, added four assists and two steals as Utah snapped a two-game losing skid.
Analysis: Millsap has been having a stellar season and collected this third double-double in his last five games. He is an above-average scorer and is starting to pick up his production after struggling in the later part of November and December. The fifth-year power forward is recording 21.0 points in his last five games and earns plenty of minutes to contribute in Utah's high-scoring offense. Consider him a high-end No. 2 Fantasy forward in all formats for now.
News: After missing the last game due to a bruised hip, Utah F Paul Millsap had a strong return on Friday night against Memphis. He scored 20 points and hauled in eight rebounds in the 110-99 loss. "I felt OK," Millsap told the Deseret News after he was close to not playing after the shootaround. "As I got going, it loosened up a little bit. In the heat of the battle you don't really feel it." He went 7 of 17 from the field, including 0 for 2 from downtown, and converted 6 of 8 free throws. Millsap, who played 38 minutes, also had two blocked shots in the defeat.
Analysis: Aside from missing the game due to injury, Millsap has been playing well of late and is averaging 18.5 points with 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks over his last four contests. He is having a career year for the Jazz, with personal-bests in points, assists, and steals, and does a solid job of filling up the stat sheet on a nightly basis. Millsap is shooting just under 55 percent from the field this season and has even introduce a little bit of the 3-ball to his repertoire. Even with just Houston and New York on the schedule in Week 12 (Jan. 10-16), continue to view Millsap as a solid start in most Fantasy leagues.
News: According to the Jazz's official team website, forward Paul Millsap will be in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Grizzlies. Millsap missed Wednesday's game against the Hawks because of a bruised hip.
Analysis: Millsap still has pain in his hip area but decided after going through shoot around that he would give it a go. He had recorded back-to-back double-doubles in his previous two games prior to Wednesday and is having a career year. Owners in daily leagues should get Millsap active for Friday night.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz PF Paul Millsap participated in the shootaround Friday before this evening's game at Memphis. Millsap said his bruised right hip feels better and will be game-time decision. "It's going to take a little time," Millsap said. "I've just got to deal with it." Millsap missed his first game of the season Wednesday against Atlanta.
Analysis: Millsap appears to be getting close to a return to action following a one-game absence, so even if he doesn't see the court tonight, he will hopefully be out there on Saturday against Houston. The Jazz have Mon-Wed off, so Millsap should be a safe start in all formats for Fantasy Week 12 (Jan. 10-16), even if he doesn't play in these two contests.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Utah PF Paul Millsap, who thought he might be able to play through hip pain on Wednesday against Atlanta, decided the pain was too much. Millsap said the pain is "different," and said the pulling throb has not dissipated. He will attempt to play on Friday. Francisco Elson started in his place Wednesday. "It is affecting all of (my movement)," Millsap told the Deseret News. "I doubt if I can get up and down the court like I want to. I can't really jump off it. My whole right side just really don't work right now."
Analysis: Millsap had recorded back-to-back double-doubles in his previous two games prior to Wednesday and his play continues to look healthy, even if he is not. Fantasy owners should consider this a minor setback at first. Millsap and Utah only play two games in Week 12 (Jan. 10-16) and Fantasy owners might consider sitting him going forward because of that fact and the hip injury. Normally, he's a solid start in all Fantasy leagues.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Paul Millsap will attempt to play on Wednesday night against Atlanta, despite being officially listed as questionable. He is recovering from a bruised right hip that limited his participation in the team's morning shootaround. "It's very sore; really sore. It's hard to put weight on it," Millsap said. "So we'll see what happens." Millsap added: "I doubt if I can get up and down the court like I wanted to. Can't really jump off of it. My whole right side just really don't work right now."
Analysis: Millsap has not missed a game all season and leads the team in shooting percentage (57.1) while ranked second in points (17.5) and rebounds (8.0). The report also noted that the injury is the most serious that Millsap has dealt with all year, so it is possible that he is limited or restricted if he does indeed play on. Fantasy owners who may have healthier alternatives should consider them where possible, but Millsap remains a high-end Fantasy option when healthy enough to play without limitations.
News: The Jazz announced that PF Paul Millsap (bruised right hip) missed practice Tuesday and will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's contest vs. Atlanta. Earlier this season against the Hawks, Millsap was held to only 11 points, his third-lowest output of the season.
Analysis: Millsap bruised his left hip back in November, but he didn't miss any time, so hopefully he can shrug off this problem as well. As a low-end No. 1 Fantasy forward, Millsap is putting up career numbers in 2010, averaging 17.5 points and eight boards. He remains a must-start Fantasy option as long as he's healthy.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap notched his eighth double-double of the season in Monday's 102-97 win over the Pistons. Millsap scored 15 points in the victory to go along with 10 rebounds. He shot 5 of 9 from the field and chipped in with two assists while logging 33 minutes in the contest.
Analysis: Millsap continues to be a steady Fantasy performer for the Jazz. He is averaging 15.4 points with 7.4 rebounds over his last five contests and has been seeing around 34 minutes a game over that stretch. He is averaging nearly seven points better than his career scoring average and should be considered a high-end Fantasy forward in all formats.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap didn't have a huge scoring performance on Wednesday, but did his part in the 103-95 win. Millsap was matched up against Clippers forward Blake Griffin most of the game, and was out performed by the young gun. But Millsap was able to contribute enough to be on the winning side of things. He shot 5 for 13 from the field and hit both his foul shots, finishing with 12 points. He would add nine rebounds, two assists and a steal in his 32 minutes of action.
Analysis: Millsap has been consistent for the Jazz this year. He's averaging 16.0 points, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 7.8 boards over his last five outings. With Carlos Boozer in Chicago and Al Jefferson playing alongside of him, Millsap is having a career season. Owners should continue to keep Millsap active in all formats as he is a high-end forward option.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap chipped in 19 points and seven rebounds as the Jazz easily won at Cleveland on Monday night. Millsap played 33 minutes for Utah and shot 9 of 13 from the field in the win. He added two assists.
Analysis: Millsap has been a consistent scorer of late as he's averaging 16 points per game over his last five. He's giving Fantasy owners 7.6 rebounds over that span and eight per game on the year. Also an excellent source of steals, Millsap definitely garners value in the majority of Fantasy leagues.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had another efficient game on Friday night against the Hornets. He scored 14 points and hauled in six rebounds in the 100-71 loss. He went 5 of 7 from the field and connected on all four of his free throws while playing 29 minutes. Millsap also had two assists, two steals and a blocked shot in the defeat.
Analysis: Millsap had one of his slower performances on Friday night but is still having a career year for the Jazz. His 17.7 points and 2.4 assists per game are both career highs and he has also be able to haul in eight boards a contest. He goes go off for huge numbers on occasion but he is usually the model of consistency. As long as he is producing in Utah, continue to view Millsap as a solid Fantasy option. Be sure to keep him active with Cleveland and Minnesota on the schedule in Week 9 Dec. 20-26).
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap notched 16 points and eight rebounds in the Jazz's 103-97 loss at Dallas on Saturday night. Millsap, who has scored at least 16 points in five of his last six games, connected on 6 of 13 shots in 35 minutes of action Saturday. He chipped in three steals and did not commit a turnover for just the third time this season.
Analysis: Millsap continues to be one of the more consistent players for the Jazz and Fantasy owners this season. He is averaging 18.0 PPG and 8.1 RPG while benefiting from guard Deron Williams' sensational start to the season. Millsap is starting to cement himself as a high-end Fantasy forward and has four games in the upcoming scoring period. He scored 23 points with five rebounds and three assists while also adding two steals in 39 minutes.

Millsap had just two career 3-pointers entering Tuesday's game.
Analysis: Millsap nailed one 3-pointer and was the hot hand for the Jazz. That is why they kept feeding him from beyond the arc late in the game despite his minimal amount of career threes entering the game. If Millsap didn't make another 3-pointer all season we wouldn't be surprised. Still, he's averaging almost 27 points and 11 rebounds per game over his last five with 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals. Millsap is playing at a very high level right now. Three-pointers or not, he should be active in a large amount of Fantasy leagues.

Analysis: We have a hard time believing Millsap is going to miss Wednesday's game after the way he finished Tuesday's, so you can consider this injury a non-issue. Even before the 46-point game, Millsap was having a breakout season. He's averaging more than 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. He's an elite Fantasy forward and a must-start in all leagues.

Millsap is playing at a very high level right now. Three-pointers or not, he should be active in a large amount of Fantasy leagues.

He scored 12 points and collected 11 boards in the 85-78 loss. Millsap shot 6 for 11 from the field and also chipped in with four assists, two steals and a block while playing 39 minutes.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging 19.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, stepping up his performance with Carlos Boozer out of town -- and that's with Al Jefferson playing alongside him. He was able to play some serious time on Friday night with no setbacks so Fantasy owners should consider him good to go for Week 3. Millsap is as tough as they come and should be considered a must-start in all leagues.
News: Only a few minutes after the Salt Lake Tribune called Jazz PF Paul Millsap a game-time decision for Friday night at Golden State, Millsap told the newspaper he will play in the contest. Millsap came down awkwardly on his right ankle Wednesday but returned after getting it re-taped.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging 21.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, stepping up his performance with Carlos Boozer out of town -- and that's with Al Jefferson playing alongside him. His status has been all over the place over the last few days, but now that he's confirmed he will play, he's clearly a must-start in Fantasy.

Analysis: Apparently, this injury is a little worse than originally thought, though Millsap still has a good chance of playing Friday. He's averaging 21.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game, stepping up his performance with Carlos Boozer out of town -- and that's with Al Jefferson playing alongside him. If he's able to play, he's clearly a must-start in Fantasy.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap, who came down awkwardly on his right ankle Wednesday but returned after getting it re-taped, will miss practice Thursday, according to the team's official website. He's probable for Friday's game at Golden State, however.
Analysis: Millsap has stepped up his performance as expected with Carlos Boozer out of town, averaging 21.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game -- and that's even with Al Jefferson playing alongside him. He might not be able to maintain those numbers all season, but he shouldn't be far off. He's clearly a must-start in Fantasy right now.

He scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds in his 38 minutes of court time for the Jazz. Millsap went 10 for 16 from the field, hitting his lone foul shot, and dished out five assists.
Analysis: Millsap has had a solid start to the season and has filled in for the injured Mehmet Okur and picked up for the loss of Carlos Boozer in free agency. Could this be the year he finally steps up for the Jazz? So far it's looking good, but his role could be limited once Okur is healthy enough to play. But until that happens, Millsap is doing enough to be considered a solid forward option in all Fantasy leagues. It'd be wise to keep an eye on his ankle, although it didn't look serious, you never know.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had a dominant performance against the Thunder on Sunday night and recorded his second straight double-double in the victory. He scored a game-high 30 points and hauled in 16 rebounds while playing 38 minutes in the 120-99 win, Utah's first of the year. ``People said a lot about our team, but tonight we proved otherwise,'' Millsap said. ``We proved that we could play defense, we proved that we could move the ball like we're supposed to, we proved that we can make shots.'' He shot 12 of 19 from the field and made 6 of 8 free throws. Millsap also had six assists and one steal in the win.
Analysis: Millsap has had a stellar start to the season and has definitely accepted the challenge of picking up the slack for the loss of Carlos Boozer and an injury to Mehmet Okur. He is averaging over 21 points and 12-plus rebounds through the first three games and looks primed for a career year in 2010-11. Along with be a solid defender, Millsap is developing into an offensive presence and should be considered a a solid option in all formats while he's producing like this.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had his finest performance of the young season in Thursday night's game against the Suns. He scored 19 points and hauled in 13 rebounds while playing 34 minutes in the 110-94 loss. He shot 9 of 13 from the field and went 1 for 3 from the charity stripe. Millsap also chipped in with two blocks and a steal in the defeat.
Analysis: Millsap just missed a double-double in the season opener and was a force to be reckoned with on Thursday night. His 13 boards were a game high and the 25-year-old appears to be coming into his own offensively in 2010-11. He, along with Al Jefferson, will be needed to pick up the slack now that Carlos Boozer is gone but appears that Millsap is up to the task. He should be considered a solid option in most formats while he's playing like this.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap got off to a nice start in Wednesday's regular season opener against the Jazz. He shot 5 for 9 from the field and scored 15 points with eight rebounds and two assists. He played 27 minutes alongside Al Jefferson.
Analysis: Millsap is the team's starting power forward at the beginning of the season and could retain that role even once Mehmet Okur gets healthy if he can continue to contribute. Millsap has shown in the past that he can be a high-end source for points and rebounds for a big man when getting big minutes, so make the most of it while he's getting the chance.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Paul Millsap has been tabbed as the team's starting power forward entering the regular season, as expected. Millsap will start alongside new addition Al Jefferson while Mehmet Okur remains sidelined.
Analysis: There is no concrete timetable for Okur's return, but more strong performances by Millsap -- as he has had whenever he has been given a chance for extended playing time -- could allow him to entrench himself as a prominent part of the rotation even once Okur is healthy. We've seen Millsap put up high-end Fantasy totals when given the chance, so make the most of his playing time while Okur is out of the picture.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap logged more than 34 minutes of action on Saturday against Los Angeles. He went 4 fro 7 from the field and hit 4 of his 6 foul shots -- finishing with 12 points and seven boards. Millsap threw in six assists for good measure as he is seeing extra minutes with injuries to three of the centers on the roster.
Analysis: Millsap has a chance to be a starter this year with Mehmet Okur out of action with an Achilles' tendon injury. That forces Al Jefferson to the center spot and gives Millsap a chance to start alongside him. With the exodus of Carlos Boozer this offseason, Millsap finally has an opportunity to expand his role with the Jazz. Millsap has a lot of upside, but has never had a chance to play big-time minutes. If he gets consistent minutes, he could be a steal on Draft Day. View him as a mid-to-late round pick in all Fantasy formats.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap got his preseason off to a productive start on Thursday against the Trail Blazers. He scored 14 points with eight rebounds, three steals and an assist in 22 minuets, starting at power forward alongside Al Jefferson in the front court.
Analysis: Millsap will get a chance to start and put up big numbers for however long Mehmet Okur is sidelined coming off a serious Achilles' tendon injury. Okur's timetable won't be decided until at least mid-October, but we've seen Millsap be a high-end Fantasy producer whenever he's gotten a chance to play big minutes for Utah. He'll be a worthy mid-to-late round pick in any format with high upside, but without a guarantee of consistency.
News: The Timberwolves agreed to send Al Jefferson to the Jazz for two future first-round draft picks and center Kosta Koufos, the teams confirmed Tuesday. "With Kevin Love and Michael Beasley on the team, there wouldn't have been enough playing time for everybody to showcase Al," Timberwolves president David Kahn said in a conference call on Tuesday night. Jefferson will see plenty of action with the perennial playoff contender in Utah, teaming with Paul Millsap to help fill a void created when Carlos Boozer went to Chicago.
Analysis: This is great news for the Jazz, but once again is a kick to the stomach for those hoping to see Millsap get his chance to be an everyday starter and fulfill his promise as a high-end contributor. With Jefferson and Mehmet Okur around, Millsap will find himself playing a similar backup role and now it seems like he won't ever get his chance to shine in a Jazz uniform. He has proven to be a player capable of 20-and-10 type production when filling in for Boozer or Okur, but now it seems like the 11.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game will be what Fantasy owners have to settle for again -- with the chance of sporadic high-end numbers whenever he's required to fill in due to injury or other circumstance.
News:Carlos Boozer is now officially a member of the Chicago Bulls. The two-time All-Star forward is going to the Bulls in a sign-and-trade with the Utah Jazz. His departure is likely to cause a huge boost to the Fantasy value of Paul Millsap.
Analysis: This is the moment Fantasy owners have been waiting for. Millsap will get a chance to go from a mid-tier Fantasy option to a Fantasy superstar and he could be one of the biggest gainers year-over-year in Fantasy. He has proven to be a player capable of 20-and-10 type production when filling in for Boozer or Mehmet Okur in the past and will no longer be obstructed. Consider him one of the better breakout candidates in Fantasy.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap averaged 18.0 points and 8.8 rebounds in nine playoff games for Utah. He started all but one of those games after Mehmet Okur suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the playoffs.
Analysis: Millsap continues to show that he can be this type of player whenever he gets a chance to fill a prominent roll. He may finally get a chance to do that this fall, but -- as usual -- that will depend on what happens with Carlos Boozer, an unrestricted free agent. As long as Boozer and Mehmet Okur are in Utah, Millsap will continue to frustrate Fantasy owners as a highly talented and capable player without the role to produce consistently. However, a potential Boozer departure has the chance to make Millsap a high-end Fantasy option.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports Jazz center Mehmet Okur will not play Friday night at New Orleans. Okur is dealing with tendinitis in his left Achilles' tendon. Paul Millsap will start against the Hornets.
Analysis: Millsap is a solid Fantasy option when Okur doesn't play, so plan on using Millsap in daily leagues Friday against the Hornets. And if Okur misses the final two games for the Jazz -- Tuesday at Golden State and Wednesday against Phoenix -- then keep Millsap active in all formats.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had 14 points and 10 rebounds in Monday's game against the Knicks. It was his first double-double in four games.
Analysis: Millsap has this type of ability, he has proven it time and time again whenever Carlos Boozer or Mehmet Okur are out. However, with both players healthy, games like this will be harder to come by on a regular basis. Expect him to be around 10 points and five boards on most nights.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had seven points with six rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench Saturday at Washington. He has totaled just 13 points and eight rebounds in his last two games.
Analysis: Millsap continues to show what he can do in spurts, but his bench role limits what he can do on a regular basis. As long as Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur remain healthy, Millsap will remain at best a Fantasy reserve to be used as a stopgap.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap recorded a double-double on Wednesday in a win over Minnesota. He had a huge game, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Millsap shot 8 for 14 from the field over 26 minutes. He added two steals and a block.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging 12.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and under a block and steal per game over his last five. With Mehmet Okur back from injury, most felt that Millsap would lose Fantasy value but instead he had his best game yet. Still, it only stands to reason that Millsap will take a hit with Okur back.
News: According to the Salt Lake Tribune Jazz C Mehmet Okur (back) said Monday afternoon that his back feels a lot better and that he "probably" was going to play Monday night against Washington. Paul Millsap will return to the bench in that case.
Analysis: The report added that Okur did not take a painkilling injection because that would have forced him out for 24 hours and he wanted to play against the Wizards. That makes him a safe play for the upcoming scoring period, though it is very possible he won't be at 100 percent. His return makes Millsap an erratic Fantasy option going forward.
News:Paul Millsap, who started in place of the injured Mehmet Okur, scored 13 points in a loss to the Thunder on Sunday. Millsap shot 6 of 14 from the floor while grabbing five rebounds and two steals.
Analysis: Depending on the status of Okur, Millsap could make for a quality stopgap during Fantasy Week 21 (March 15-21) where the Jazz play a favorable four game schedule. If Okur is able to return, Millsap is just a low-end Fantasy option in the deepest of leagues.
News: According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Jazz C Mehmet Okur will miss Sunday's game in Oklahoma City due to back spasms. He is considered day-to-day. Paul Millsap will enjoy a boost in minuets and Fantasy production in his absence.
Analysis: Okur will now be a risky play for the team's upcoming scoring period in Fantasy Week 21 (March 15-21). The Jazz are slated for four games, which makes it a little easier to take a gamble on him, but this is the type of issue that could linger for a couple of games. The quick turnaround as the Jazz play again on Monday does not help his cause. Start him at your own peril. Millsap, as usual, will get a chance for high-level production as has been the case whenever Okur or Carlos Boozer have missed time. Make the most of it while you can if you own him. The Jazz have very favorable matchups in Week 21.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap had another solid performance on Tuesday night in a win at Chicago. Millsap scored 16 points on 5 of 11 shooting and added nine boards.
Analysis: Millsap has scored in double figures three times in his last five games but combined for nine in the other two. Sometimes he just has trouble putting the ball in the basket. Millsap has been a decent rebounder and can be utilized in the majority of 12-team and deeper Fantasy leagues right now.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had just four points with three rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes off the bench Thursday night in Phoenix. He had scored 18 and 17 points in his previous two games.
Analysis: Millsap has upside. He has proven that time after time. However, as long as Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur remain healthy Millsap won't be in a situation to turn in solid numbers on a regular basis. He remains a low-end starter in Fantasy with the potential to be much, much more.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had 17 points with three assists and two rebounds off the bench Monday at the Clippers. He backed up another strong offensive performance in his previous game against Houston where he scored 18 points with five assists and four rebounds.
Analysis: Millsap has upside to produce numbers like this and more, but unfortunately his role as a backup behind Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer does not lend itself to much consistency. He remains a low-end starter in Fantasy with the potential to be much, much more.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap scored 18 points against the Rockets on Saturday, his third double-figure output in his last five games. He shot 8 of 10 from the field in 30 minutes. He grabbed four rebounds, dished five assists and blocked two shots.
Analysis: Millsap had been playing inspired basketball in 2010, but has slowed down a bit over his last five games. He's averaged 10.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 blocks during that span, right about at his season averages. But a couple of off nights isn't enough to reduce his value from that of a No. 4 Fantasy forward.
News: Utah F Paul Millsap led all Jazz scorers with 14 points in a loss to Atlanta on Monday. Millsap shot 7 of 12 from the field while adding nine rebounds and four blocks in 34 minutes. Millsap has scored in double figures in four of his last five contests.
Analysis: Even with Mehmet Okur returning to the lineup on Monday, Millsap saw the majority of the minutes and has played 33.8 minutes over his last five games. He is averaging a solid 15.4 points and eight rebounds over that span. With this type of production, Millsap can be used a No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News: Jazz C Mehmet Okur will miss Friday's game due to the birth of his son, according to the team's official Web site. Paul Millsap will start in his place.
Analysis: Okur could rejoin the team Sunday for their game at Portland. His absence will likely open things up for Millsap to have a solid performance, as he has most times when either Okur or Carlos Boozer have missed time. This season, Okur has taken a step back in his productivity. He remains a No. 2 Fantasy center option in all leagues.
News:Paul Millsap scored 24 points on 11 of 13 shooting, and the Utah Jazz beat the New Orleans Hornets 98-90 on Wednesday night. Led by Millsap's 16 first-half points, Utah chipped away and pulled ahead 29-28 on Millsap's dunk in the middle of the second quarter. Millsap added eight rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks. "I'm trying to attack a little bit more. I think I was a little timid earlier in the season," Millsap said. "I just felt comfortable out there and when you get that type of confidence, the rim looks real big."
Analysis: Millsap came in averaging 11.4 points but had scored 20 in his previous outing. He has 44 points and 20 rebounds in his first two games after the All-Star break. Those numbers rival some of the best players in the NBA. "When Paul is given a lot of minutes, he's always produced," said Jazz point guard Deron Williams, who had 16 points and 10 assists. "It's on coach to find him some time to get him out there. If it's Paul's night, you've got to ride with him." Millsap has been very good and very consistent since mid-January and Fantasy owners better start cashing in. Millsap is still battling Memhet Okur and Carlos Boozer in the frontcourt, but he is no worse than a No. 4 Fantasy forward. His stock is definitely on the rise.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds in Tuesday's win over the Rockets. In 33 minutes he shot 8 of 11 from the field, adding two steals and two blocks.
Analysis: Millsap's production has been going up all season, and February is proving to be no different. He's averaging 15.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 blocks through six games this month. He's very quietly become a solid No. 4 Fantasy forward, and his value continues to increase.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds in Tuesday's win over the Rockets. In 33 minutes he shot 8 of 11 from the field, adding two steals and two blocks.

News: With Carlos Boozer healthy again, Jazz PF Paul Millsap's numbers have been back to normal over the last two games. He has averaged 12 points and five rebounds.
Analysis: Millsap's value got a nice little boost while Boozer was out, but now he's back to being an option in only deeper Fantasy leagues.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap is averaging 20 points and 10 boards per game over his last five contests.
Analysis: Millsap is coming off the bench once again now that Carlos Boozer is healthy but he's going to be the first option after the starting five. Hopefully his hot streak carries over into the second half of the season. Millsap can be used in most Fantasy leagues when he's playing well.
News: According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Jazz F Carlos Boozer (calf) said Tuesday that he is hoping to return to action for Saturday's game against Denver. He will attempt to return to practice Thursday and Friday. Paul Millsap will continue to start in his absence.
Analysis: Boozer's status for Saturday's game will likely be determined by whether or not he participates Thursday and Friday and does not suffer any setbacks. Just because he is hoping to return Saturday does not mean he will be back. Fantasy owners will have to continue to monitor his progress in the coming days. But the good news is that it sounds like there is a good chance he will be available for Fantasy Week 16 (Feb. 8-14). Millsap will continue to put up high-end Fantasy numbers for however long Boozer is out, but will return to his inconsistent production off the bench whenever Boozer is back and healthy enough to take away much of Millsap's playing time.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap had another solid game on Monday in a win over Dallas. Millsap scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He shot 10 for 16 from the field and added four blocks.
Analysis: Millsap is unconscious of late and is averaging 21 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 blocks and a steal per game over his last five. The Jazz are winning and Millsap is a big reason why. He deserves to be active in most Fantasy leagues right now.
News: According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Carlos Boozer (calf) was seen in practice gear Sunday morning at the team's practice. He did not dismiss the idea he could play by the end of the upcoming week. Boozer said Friday he was suffering from a slight tear in his calf and wouldn't know true measure of the injury for sure until the pain went away. Paul Millsap should continue to enjoy a Fantasy boost in his absence.
Analysis: Boozer is still without a timetable and is out indefinitely. He is to be re-evaluated Monday and that could lead to a more definite timetable. But Fantasy owners won't be able to rely on him in weekly formats for Fantasy Week 15 (Feb. 1-7) as there remains no guarantee he will play at all during the week. In his absence, we expect Millsap to play a significant role and become an excellent start in all Fantasy formats. Millsap scored 32 points with 14 rebounds his last time out against Sacramento and is averaging 18.4 points and 8.0 rebounds over his last five games. He's practically a must-start with Boozer out.
News: As Carlos Boozer remains out, Utah PF Paul Millsap continues to dominate with his added minutes. Millsap shot 11 for 17 on Friday in a win over the Kings and scored a team-high 32 points. He grabbed 14 rebounds to go with the scoring and added seven assists for good measure.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging 18.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and almost a block and steal per game over his last five and as long as Boozer is out, this should continue. That makes Millsap a solid Fantasy option for Week 15 (Feb. 1-7). Of course, Boozer could return shortly, though this injury could turn into a week or more absence quite easily, and the Jazz play only three games in the upcoming scoring period.
News: The Jazz announced Friday that Carlos Boozer has a moderate right calf strain and will be re-evaluated Monday after undergoing a weekend of treatment, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. "Usually 48 to 72 hours tells you a little more," Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said, "and I think we're encouraged by the fact it wasn't worse yesterday and today than it was after he hurt it." Paul Millsap will replace Boozer in the lineup for as long as he remains sidelined.
Analysis: A moderate strain would be the second degree of severity among strained calves. O'Connor said Boozer was on crutches per doctor's orders: "They don't want him to put any weight on it." There are some reports that say this injury could keep him out 7-10 days, which would rule him out for Fantasy Week 15 (Feb. 1-7). Fantasy owners should be flocking to Paul Millsap, who will play a big role while Boozer is out. Millsap would see a huge Fantasy boost and become a player to activate in most leagues, as he has been able to put up numbers relatively close to what Boozer offers in the past while Boozer has missed time due to injuries.
News:Carlos Boozer will see a doctor Thursday about his strained right calf, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Boozer injured his right calf on Wednesday in a game at Portland. The Jazz big man was hurt in the second quarter and played 15 minutes, scoring 14 points on 5 of 5 shooting before going down. Boozer added five rebounds and could not return to the game after halftime. Depending on the severity of the injury, which is sure to be announced prior to Friday's game against Sacramento, Boozer could miss a few games. If that is the case, expect Paul Millsap to see a huge Fantasy boost.
Analysis: Millsap would see a huge Fantasy boost and become a player to activate in most leagues, as he has been able to put up numbers relatively close to what Boozer offers in the past while Boozer has missed time due to injuries. Mehmet Okur should also enjoy a boost in Boozer's absence. Boozer's Fantasy owners, as well as those who own Millsap or Okur should pay close attention to an injury time-line, which could be announced Thursday or Friday.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap had another solid performance on Wednesday in a win at Portland. In a game that saw Carlos Boozer injury his calf and leave after 15 minutes, Millsap came up big with 15 points and 11 rebounds over 31 minutes. He shot 6 of 9 from the field and added two blocks.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging 15.4 points, 6.4 boards, 1.2 steals and a block per night over his last five games and that was before Boozer got hurt. If Boozer misses time, Millsap would benefit greatly. This could mean Millsap has as much value in Fantasy right now than he's had all year.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap scored 20 points on Saturday in an easy win over the Nets. Millsap shot 7 for 10 from the field and grabbed six boards. He added a steal.
Analysis: Millsap has scored in double figures in his last three games now and is averaging 12.4 PPG over his last five. That comes with 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.4 steals. His intangibles help his Fantasy value but he plays fewer than 30 minutes per game for Utah. The Jazz play three times in Week 14 (Jan. 25-31) and that might be enough to bench Millsap in most leagues if you have a comparable option that plays four games during the scoring period.
News: Utah F Paul Millsap scored 17 points in a 119-112 loss to Denver on Sunday. In 30 minutes of play, Millsap shot 8 of 12 from the field adding seven rebounds and four assists. The 17 points was the highest scoring output from Millsap in the month of January.
Analysis: Millsap had one of his best games of the season on Sunday which might mean some increased playing time for him. However, with Boozer and Okur eating up many minutes, Fantasy owners might not get the production out of Millsap that they had hoped for although he has plenty of upside.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had five points and nine rebounds off the bench Thursday against Cleveland. He added two assists, three steals and two blocks.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging 9.2 points and 6.6 rebounds over his last five games with just under two blocks per game. Fantasy owners in many leagues continue to stash him away for his upside, but as long as Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur is around he won't be able to fulfill it -- at least on a regular basis.
News: Utah PG Paul Millsap registered 15 points and three blocks on Friday in a loss at Memphis. Millsap saw 30 minutes off the bench and shot 5 of 8 overall from the field. He added three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Analysis: Incredibly, this was Millsap's, who averages 10.1 points per game for the year, first double-digit scoring performance since dropping 20 at Orlando way back on Dec. 21, a span of seven games. He has not been a consistent scorer or rebounder for the Jazz this year. He doesn't start and his minutes go up and down. He's just a low-end Fantasy option at the moment.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap had eight points and 10 rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench Thursday at Oklahoma City, giving him a total of 28 rebounds over his last three games. He has only 17 points during that stretch.
Analysis: Millsap recently suffered a concussion, but that has nothing to do with his performance lately. As the backup to Carlos Boozer, he doesn't get the playing time he needs to make a significant impact in Fantasy. As a starter, he'd be a nightly double-double threat, but he's borderline waiver material right now.
News: Utah F Paul Millsap was able to play on Saturday against the Sixers, three days after suffering a concussion against Miami. He was not too productive however, scoring just three points on 1 for 6 shooting. He did however tear down 11 rebounds.
Analysis: Millsap's concussion was a mild one and it's good to see that he did not miss any time because of it. However, he has been a disappointment overall this season despite some good games before the concussion on Wednesday. Think of him as a No. 4 Fantasy option until he can put up bigger numbers on a more-consistent basis.
News:Paul Millsap has left the Utah Jazz's game at Miami after getting hurt trying to defend Heat center Joel Anthony. The Jazz said Millsap needed 10 stitches in his upper lip and mouth. The forward also was diagnosed with a mild concussion after he departed with 5:49 left in the third quarter Wednesday night. Millsap left with four points in 14 minutes. There was no immediate word on his availability for Utah's next game, Saturday at home against Philadelphia.
Analysis: Utah has the next two days to recover from the mild concussion before facing the 76ers Saturday. He scored 20 points his last full game at Orlando and is averaging 11 per game on the year with 5.3 rebounds. Millsap has heated up lately, but as the backup to Carlos Boozer, he still doesn't have the opportunity to function as more than a No. 4 Fantasy forward, when healthy.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap had 20 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench Monday at Orlando, giving him just his third 20-point game of the season. He has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games, though, averaging 14.0 points during that stretch.
Analysis: Millsap has heated up lately, but as the backup to Carlos Boozer, he still doesn't have the opportunity to function as more than a No. 4 Fantasy forward. He'd have 20-10 potential as a starter, but he's far from a must-start in Fantasy right now.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap, whose numbers have dipped in his return to a reserve role this season, had 13 points and six rebounds Wednesday at New Jersey, putting him in double figures in four straight games. He's averaging 13.0 points and 4.5 rebounds during that stretch.
Analysis: Millsap would be a nightly double-double threat as a starter, but in his current role, he's barely a No. 4 Fantasy forward even when at his hottest. Fortunately, he's at his hottest right now, so give him a look if you need help at the position.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap had eight points and two rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench Monday against the Spurs. He has scored less than 10 points in three of his last five games.
Analysis: Millsap is averaging right at 10 points per game, an average helped by Mehmet Okur's absence in the middle of November. Millsap would have 20-10 potential if he got a chance to play significant minutes, but in his current role, he's just a low-end Fantasy forward.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap, who left Saturday's game with a knee injury, returned to the lineup Monday against the Grizzlies. He had just four points, three rebounds, three assists and three blocks, shooting 0 for 5 in 24 minutes.
Analysis: Millsap could put up stellar numbers if he didn't have Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur blocking him. The fact he's going to be playing at less than 100 percent makes even him less of a Fantasy option right now, but his role makes him just a low-end option anyway.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Paul Millsap (knee) participated in Monday's morning shootaround and will play Monday night against Memphis. He will wear a brace over his injured knee.
Analysis: Millsap is a frustrating option due to the fact his stellar production is blocked by the presence of Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur when both are healthy. The fact that he's going to be playing at less than 100 percent makes him less of an option this week in weekly formats.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Paul Millsap (knee) was able to participate in Monday morning's shootaround while Andrei Kirilenko (back) did not. Both are still considered a game-time decision for Monday's game against Memphis.
Analysis: The Utah Jazz play just three games this week, which makes both players real injury risks for Fantasy Week 6 (Nov. 30-Dec. 6). Go with healthier alternatives where possible. When healthy, Kirilenko has re-emerged as a quality play in all formats (but especially Rotisserie leagues) while Millsap is a frustrating option due to the fact his stellar production is blocked by the presence of Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur when both are healthy.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Andrei Kirilenko (back) and Paul Millsap (knee), who both missed practice Sunday, are game-time decisions for Monday night's game against Memphis.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Paul Millsap and Andrei Kirilenko sat out Sunday's practice. Millsap is dealing with a bruised left knee while Kirilenko has a strained lower back.
Analysis: With the Jazz slated for just three games and Millsap still playing a backup role behind Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer, Fantasy owners should not count on activating Millsap for Fantasy Week 6 (Nov. 30-Dec. 5).
News: Utah F Paul Millsap left Saturday's game against the Blazers with a knee injury and did not return. He is questionable for Monday against Memphis.
Analysis: Millsap had been performing a little bit better of late, averaging 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds over his last five games. Monitor his status this weekend but the safe play is to keep him benched for Fantasy Week 6 (Nov. 30-Dec. 6). When healthy, Millsap is a decent low-end option.
News: Getting to play 37 minutes off the bench with C Mehmet Okur home with the flu Thursday at San Antonio, Jazz PF Paul Millsap scored 20 points, his most since he had 23 back on Oct. 30. He also had seven rebounds. He has scored in double figures in each of his last four games, but he's still averaging only 14.0 points and 5.5 rebounds during that stretch.
Analysis: Clearly, Millsap isn't the same player he was last year now that Carlos Boozer is back healthy, but when injuries afford him more playing time, he still has the ability to put up those kinds of numbers. He's worth stashing in the event Boozer gets traded, but he's just a low-end forward in Fantasy right now.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap, who broke out last year with Carlos Boozer sidelined by injuries, has had trouble transitioning back to the bench this season. He had only four points and five rebounds at New York on Monday and hasn't scored in double figures in his last five games, averaging 5.0 points during that stretch.
Analysis: Boozer still has the potential to get traded this season, which would open a spot in the starting lineup for Millsap. That might be the only way Millsap makes a worthwhile contribution in Fantasy this season. He's worth stashing because of his upside and the possibility Boozer gets trade, but you shouldn't feel obligated if you see someone on waivers who can help you now.
News: Jazz F Carlos Boozer scored 12 points while adding 11 rebounds in Wednesday's season opener against Denver. He added 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in 31 minutes on the floor. Paul Millsap played 23 minutes off the bench and managed 10 points with 5 rebounds, 1 block and a 1 assist.
Analysis: Boozer would have had a much more impressive stat line were it not for the 3 for 14 shooting from the field. The rebounds were there, which is a good sign as there was a bit of concern over the way he and Millsap would be used. So far, it's status quo for Boozer, who has the ability to put up 20 points and 10 rebounds on any night. Millsap will continue to bide his time behind Boozer and Okur and should be used based upon matchups for now. A trade or an injury to either Boozer or Okur would make Millsap a Fantasy stud.
News:Carlos Boozer has reported with the rest of the Utah Jazz to the start of training camp. "Management brought me back so I'm here in town," Boozer said. "I'm ready and looking forward to playing." Boozer says he's a little surprised to still be a member of the Utah Jazz and he's not alone. After a tumultuous summer of speculation - some by Boozer himself - that the Jazz were going to trade the two-time All-Star and his hefty contract, Boozer appears headed into the regular season with the Jazz. The Jazz also paid big to keep restricted free agent Paul Millsap, who has been Boozer's backup, by matching a huge offer from the Portland Trail Blazers this offseason.
Analysis: A trade could still happen between now and the deadline in February if Utah wants to unload Boozer's salary, but for now the Jazz have a power forward who can average 20 points and 10 rebounds a night - and perhaps two of them. Coach Jerry Sloan has said all along that he would love to keep Boozer, who has averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds in five seasons with the Jazz but has played in only 276 of a possible 410 games because of injuries. As long as Boozer is healthy, we expect him to remain a high-end Fantasy forward. Millsap will have to find ways to contribute alongside Boozer and Mehmet Okur, which will continue to stunt his growth. But the possibility of a huge year still exists should a trade or another injury to Boozer occur.
News: The Utah Jazz will match the Portland Trail Blazers' offer sheet to restricted free agent Paul Millsap, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told CBSSports.com senior writer Ken Berger. The offer, said to be at four years for $32 million, lays the groundwork for the Jazz to trade forward Carlos Boozer.
Analysis: Millsap, a third-year forward, averaged 13.5 points and 8.6 rebounds last season. The possible absence of Carlos Boozer would make Millsap a huge breakout candidate in Fantasy leagues this season. Don't forget he averaged Boozer-like numbers when filling in for him. He averaged 16.0 points and 10.3 rebounds as a starter in 38 starts last season. He could be drafted as high as the fourth round now in Fantasy leagues, though the fact he lost center eligibility by making all of his starts at power forward takes him out of the realm of possibly being a top-3 round pick.
News: The Trail Blazers signed restricted free agent forward Paul Millsap to an offer sheet Friday. The Jazz have seven days to match the offer. The terms were not disclosed by the Blazers because of team policy. Millsap's agent did not immediately respond to phone calls and e-mails from The Associated Press seeking comment. The Jazz already have high salaries committed to a number of players for next season, including Boozer. He was expected to opt out of his contract and become a free agent, but declined the option and Utah owes him $12.7 million. Deron Williams, Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur all will earn at least $9 million, meaning the Jazz could be well over the salary cap if they match the offer to Millsap. According to a report, Portland's offer to Millsap was for four years and up to $36 million. Should the deal go through, the 6-foot-8 Millsap could back up Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
Analysis: Millsap averaged 13.5 points for the Jazz last season, getting double-doubles in 19 straight games while starting for Carlos Boozer, and has career averages of 9.4 points and 6.4 rebounds since the Jazz selected him with the No. 47 pick in the 2006 draft. Whether Millsap ends up in Portland, Utah or elsehwere, he'll be a potential breakout candidate in the 2009-2010 season.
News: The Utah Jazz have made a qualifying offer to forward Paul Millsap, giving the team the right to match any other offers he receives as a restricted free agent. Millsap averaged 13.5 points and 8.6 rebounds last season, playing mostly as a reserve.
Analysis: The Jazz had until Tuesday to make the offer and there was no doubt they would. Millsap stepped in when starter Carlos Boozer missed 41 games with a knee injury and had a string of 19 straight double-doubles. Depending on what role he winds up with in the upcoming season, he could be one of the best breakout candidates of the NBA season.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports Jazz forward Carlos Boozer is set to make $12.7 million next season unless he opts out of his contract, which he is entitled to do. Boozer voiced his desire to return to Utah after the Jazz lost in the first round to the Lakers. But Boozer has a tough choice to make. He might be to play out the last season of his contract -- in Utah or elsewhere -- and hit the free-agent market in 2010. The Jazz, meanwhile, could sign Boozer to a contract extension before June 30. Given his desire to sign a long-term contact, Boozer is expected to opt out, though that decision would not come without risk. The only teams with the cap space to sign Boozer outright as a free agent are likely Detroit, Oklahoma City and Memphis. If Boozer opts out, the Jazz could either re-sign him, work out a sign-and-trade to acquire players and/or draft picks in return or watch Boozer sign elsewhere while receiving payroll relief. If Boozer doesn't opt out, the Jazz still could look to trade him, with Boozer having added value as an expiring contract.
Analysis: The Jazz are likely to face a decision of keeping Paul Millsap or Boozer. Millsap has been far more durable, missing only six games the last three seasons, and had a streak of 19 consecutive double-doubles starting while Boozer was out with a knee injury. With Millsap a restricted free agent, the Jazz can match any offer he receives from another team. They have every intention of doing so, but the question is whether they will push to sign him immediately July 1 or wait for Millsap to bring them an offer to match. Deron Williams offered his endorsement of Millsap this week, saying: "That's what you want on your team. You want those type of players, guys who are going to come out and do their job and work hard." If Boozer leaves, Millsap will be a tremendous Fantasy option, so keep an eye on what happens this offseason.
News: Jazz center Mehmet Okur (hamstring) missed Tuesday's game at the Lakers, but forward Paul Millsap still came off the bench. Jarron Collins got the start at center, but Millsap still played 23 minutes and finished with 10 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Millsap will continue to post solid stats no matter what role he plays. The Jazz head into the first-round of the playoffs, and look for Millsap to continue playing well for the rest of the year.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap had 19 points, 11 rebounds and three assists Monday against the Clippers. Millsap could see more action in Tuesday's season-finale and heading into the playoffs since center Mehmet Okur left Monday's game against the Clippers with an injured hamstring.
Analysis: Millsap continues to play well as a reserve behind Carlos Boozer and Okur. If Okur is out, Millsap's stats will surely rise. He remains a quality Fantasy option to close the season.
News: Jazz forward Carlos Boozer had 10 points, 10 rebounds and two assists Sunday at New Orleans in 31 minutes, but he sat the entire fourth quarter in favor of Paul Millsap, with Jazz coach Jerry Sloan suggesting before the game that he has considered starting Millsap and bringing Boozer off the bench as he makes a slow return from knee surgery, reports the Salt Lake Tribune. "Yeah, I think about it every day," Sloan said. "We need guys, and maybe Boozer will get himself together a little bit more coming off the bench. That's something we're thinking about, but we've got to try to win the game today starting the way we are." With the playoffs less than two weeks away, Boozer was asked if he thought he would be close to 100 percent by then. "Absolutely, I feel like I am," Boozer said. "I felt great tonight and I'm looking forward to the next game."
Analysis: Despite playing the entire fourth quarter, Millsap only had three points, four assists and one rebound. Keep an eye on what happens with Millsap and Boozer, but for now consider Millsap a No. 4 Fantasy forward or a No. 2 center in leagues where you can use him at both spots.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap had a below average performance on Sunday against the Hornets, scoring only three points on 1-for-4 shooting. He added four assists, a rebound and a steal to his stat line.
Analysis: Millsap has had a different role since the return of Carlos Boozer but Sunday's performance was very much out of the ordinary. Keep him active in all leagues at this time as a No. 4 Fantasy forward or a No. 2 center in leagues where you can use him at both spots.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap had 14 points and 12 rebounds Thursday at Denver in just 24 minutes off the bench. It was Millsap's first double-double since March 8 at Toronto, a span of 13 games.
Analysis: Millsap's role has changed since Carlos Boozer returned from a knee injury, but Millsap is still capable of posting solid stats. Keep him active in all leagues at this time as a No. 4 Fantasy forward or a No. 2 center in leagues where you can use him at both spots.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap had 13 points, seven rebounds and one assist Wednesday at the Suns. Millsap has now scored in double figures in his last four games after going two games without reaching at least 10 points.
Analysis: It appears like Millsap has found his role again with Carlos Boozer back in the fold and Mehmet Okur healthy. Millsap will continue to come off the bench, but he still posts solid enough stats to be a quality Fantasy option. Keep him active in all leagues.
News: Jazz forward Paul Millsap had 15 points, nine rebounds and one assist Tuesday against Houston. Millsap is averaging 11.2 points and 7.4 rebounds in his past five games. He has not posted a double-double in his past seven games.
Analysis: Millsap remains a solid Fantasy option and is worth using in all leagues at this time. Hopefully he will get back to posting double-doubles on a regular basis.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had nine points and seven rebounds off the bench in Saturday's double-overtime game in Miami. He had a string of three straight games with at least 16 points snapped.
Analysis: Millsap has been at his best this season when Carlos Boozer has been out or limited. On Saturday, Boozer was a 20-and-10 force who looked to be as healthy as he has been all season. That doesn't bode well for Millsap, who could be an erratic option down the stretch as a bench player.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap has had to make up for a less-than-100-percent Carlos Boozer over the past few games and has succeeded in doing so. Millsap scored 22 points and added nine rebounds on Tuesday night in a win at Indiana with Boozer slightly limited. That comes one game after he scored 18 and 11 with Boozer out.
Analysis: Millsap's value is always enhanced with Boozer out but the big man should be fine, meaning Millsap remains someone to start in the majority of Fantasy leagues, especially when the matchups are in his favor.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz forward Carlos Boozer, who missed Sunday's game against Toronto with a sprained right ankle, should return this week. The Jazz next play Tuesday at Indiana. "It's still a little bit painful," Boozer said, "so I'm going to just let it calm down a little bit, then I'll be back out there hopefully on Tuesday." Boozer suffered the injury in the first quarter of Friday's victory over Denver but was able to finish the game. He warmed up Sunday, had the ankle taped, walked around a little bit and did some jumping before deciding he couldn't go. Much as he did while Boozer was out three months with an injured left knee, Paul Millsap returned to the starting lineup Sunday and finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Analysis: It sounds like Boozer will return during this scoring period, but ankle injuries can be tricky and Boozer tends to rest more than most when it comes to injuries. Hopefully he can return Tuesday as he says, but be cautious when setting your lineup. The safe bet is to keep Boozer reserved or lower your expectations for his performance this week, which is tough since he finally started to play well in coming back from the knee problem. If Boozer misses any time, that would only enhance Millsap's value, making him a solid start this week.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap filled in for an injured Carlos Boozer in Sunday's game against Toronto. He scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds with an assist, a steal and a block in 34 minutes. He had been held to 13 points and 12 rebounds combined over his previous two games.
Analysis: Millsap put up numbers like this all season while Boozer was out due to injury. This time, though, Boozer is expected back real soon and Millsap will not get the chance to expan on this type of production in Week 20. Despite this strong start, he remains a low-end play.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had just four points with four rebounds in Wednesday's game against Houston. He played only 15 minutes. He has been held under 10 points in three of his last four games.
Analysis: As Carlos Boozer returns to his old self (20 points, 17 rebounds Wednesday), Millsap will continue to fade. The numbers he put up while Boozer was out were at times worthy of use as a No. 2 forward or No. 1 center (where eligible). However, his role now will lead to erratic results.
News: The Deseret News reports that Jazz forward Carlos Boozer is ready to return Monday against Atlanta. He has been out for 44 games with a knee injury, but he returned to practice Sunday without a setback. "This is the best it's felt since I've been hurt," said Boozer, who was injured when he landed awkwardly on his leg late in a Nov. 19 home game against Milwaukee. If Boozer indeed is available he'll be re-inserted straight into the starting lineup and replacement starter Paul Millsap will return to the bench, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. Boozer who in 12 games before getting hurt averaged 20.5 points and 11.7 rebounds said he'll initially play "limited minutes, probably five minutes a quarter, just depending on how it goes." It could be two weeks before he's ready for regular minutes, which earlier this season meant an average of almost 34 per game.
Analysis: It sounds like Millsap will see a decline in production, but don't expect it to happen right away with Boozer playing "limited minutes" to start. For now, keep Millsap active as a low-end No. 3 Fantasy forward and hope that Boozer's return doesn't hurt Millsap's play too much.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap played 31 minutes on Tuesday, shaking off knee troubles, to score 18 points and grab eight boards in a win over Memphis. Millsap was 6-of-11 from the field and added four blocks.
Analysis: Millsap has done a terrific job, for the most part, filling in for Carlos Boozer. However, he has hit a bit of a wall lately due to what he concedes is some wear and tear on his knee. Fantasy owners should not be relying upon Millsap for the same type of production he had in the first half down the stretch, but he should retain some appeal as a low-end starter in most leagues -- especially in those where he is eligible at center. Boozer is eligible to return shortly.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz forward Paul Millsap iced his bruised right knee during All-Star weekend and took it easy while home in Louisiana. Millsap will remain a starter for at least one more game Tuesday against Memphis with Carlos Boozer (knee) still out.
Analysis: Millsap will remain a solid Fantasy option as long as Boozer is out. Keep Millsap active in all leagues and hope his knee remains OK.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had 10 points with eight rebounds in Wednesday's game against the Lakers, the team's final game prior to the All-Star break. He once again started in place of injured Carlos Boozer who is expected back shortly after the break.
Analysis: Millsap has done a terrific job, for the most part, filling in for Boozer.
News: The Deseret News reports that Jazz F/C Paul Millsap admits that he feels worn down, possibly explaining his recent dip in productivity. "The physicality of the game, a lot of dirty work that I do, the licks I take I mean, I think it's all just taking a toll on me right now," he said. In particular, my knee," added Millsap, who has been playing extensively despite a still-bruised right knee and a previously strained left one.
Analysis: The report adds that much has been asked this season of Millsap, a reserve power forward for his two NBA seasons who has taken on a starting role since shortly after two-time All-Star Carlos Boozer went down with a knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery. And he's responded, averaging 14.8 points and 9.3 rebounds over 46 games. But his production and considerable minutes 32.2 per game, which is 12.8 more than his career average coming into the season have come with a price. In the Jazz's last two games, Millsap really has hit a wall. He had just two points and missed his only three shots from the field in Friday's victory at Sacramento, and scored just eight with 4-for-12 field shooting while logging 36 minutes in the loss to the Warriors. hould remain in the starting lineup for one more week, at least, with Boozer not expected back until after the All-Star break. For now, continue to start Millsap as a No. 2 Fantasy forward and a low-end No. 1 Fantasy center (where eligible). Once Boozer -- and Andrei Kirilenko for that matter -- return, Millsap's stats will likely decline with the increased bulk up front for the Jazz.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap had 14 points, 10 rebounds and three assists Thursday against Dallas. He is averaging 13.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in his past five games and should remain in the starting lineup for one more week, at least, with Carlos Boozer not expected back until after the All-Star break.
Analysis: For now, continue to start Millsap as a No. 2 Fantasy forward and a low-end No. 1 Fantasy center in leagues where you can change positions. Once Boozer -- and Andrei Kirilenko for that matter -- return, Millsap's stats will likely decline with the increased bulk up front for the Jazz.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap had 14 points and four rebounds in Monday's game against Charlotte before fouling out. He is averaging 12.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists over his last five games.
Analysis: Millsap has been a very productive forward in the absence of Carlos Boozer, but his production has slipped off a bit of late. Still, a 13-7-3 line from a player eligible at center in leagues that allow for multiple positions is an excellent option. As a forward, he remains worthy of starting in all formats as long as Boozer remains out. Boozer is likely out until after the All-Star break.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap may have sat out Friday's practice because of a sore right knee but he certainly didn't play as if he were bothered by any ailment on Saturday against Cleveland. The Jazz lost the game but Millsap doubled up for 24 points and 15 rebounds. He added three assists and shot 12-of-18 from the field.
Analysis: Millsap has three straight double-doubles and is averaging 24-14-3 over his last three games since returning full time from his original knee issue. He's going to suffer some soreness now and again but right now he's still playing like a must-start high-end Fantasy option.
News: The Deseret News reports that Paul Millsap plans to play Saturday night against Cleveland despite missing Friday's practice with a sore knee. "Good to go," Millsap said after Saturday morning's shoot around.
Analysis: Millsap has been a bit banged up lately, but has stepped up in a huge way in the absence of Carlos Boozer. He has scored 28 and 20 points with 15 and 12 rebounds in his last two games and Fantasy owners should keep him active as long as he's healthy enough to play.
News:The Deseret News reports that Paul Millsap sat out Friday's practice due to soreness in his bruised right knee. He is listed as probable for Saturday's game against Cleveland.
News:Paul Millsap led Utah with 28 points and 15 rebounds and his dunk gave the Jazz a 97-89 lead midway through the fourth quarter as the Jazz beat the T-Wolves Tuesday. Millsap played 41 minutes and added two steals.
Analysis: This was a far cry from the four points and three rebounds he put up in 21 minutes in his return from injury. He needed one game to get back in the flow and he burst out on Tuesday with another double-double. If he can play at this level going forward he'll be right back where he left off as a high-end Fantasy forward.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap returned to action following a three-game absence due to a bruised cartilage in his right knee on Saturday night at Dallas and did not play well. Millsap recorded just four points on 2-of-6 shooting over 21 minutes on the court and had three boards with two assists. He turned it over three times and committed five fouls.
Analysis: Millsap certainly looked uncomfortable on the floor at times and that is because he was. He says it doesn't feel like it is getting much better but since an MRI determined it can't get any worse he's going to play. That makes him sound like a bit of an injury risk but he's tough. He's worth using in deeper leagues where he's center eligible but realize he likely won't be the guy he was before the injury.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap sat out of Friday's game at Memphis with a bruised cartilage on his knee. He remains day to day and is questionable for Saturday's game at Dallas. Millsap told The Salt Lake Tribune that his knee still doesn't feel right and that it isn't getting any better. He has been out since Jan. 13 with this injury.
Analysis: Fantasy owners are wanting Millsap to get back in there and earn them some points while Carlos Boozer remains out with his own injury issues. Millsap is still day to day but it could be another couple of games before he returns. As long as Boozer is out, Millsap should be considered a No. 1 or 2 option.
News:The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Paul Millsap (knee) is considered day to day after an MRI confirmed he was suffering from bruised cartilage. Talking at the pregame shootaround, Millsap said: "It still don't feel right. It feels like it's not getting [any] better."
Analysis: Millsap missed three games after hyperextending his left knee in December, but he said his right knee currently feels worse than his left after that injury. Fantasy owners should continue to treat him as day to day. As long as Carlos Boozer remains out, Millsap can be a suitable No. 2 forward or even a No. 1 center where eligible.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap (knee) could not return to action on Wednesday night against the Thunder. He is hoping to return at some point this week but will still be questionable for Friday at Memphis.
Analysis: Millsap should be treated as day to day by Fantasy owners, but it sounds as if missing one or two more games is a possibility. With Carlos Boozer out until mid-February at the earliest, Millsap retains his value as a No. 2 forward or No. 1 center option where he is eligible at the position.
News: The Deseret News reports that Paul Millsap is hoping to return to the lineup during the team's current road trip. He missed Monday's game with a bruised right knee that had about 10 CCs of fluid drained out of it to reduce swelling. Millsap planned on participating in practice Tuesday at the Jazz training facility in hopes of having more jumping ability and mobility before the team left for their three-game.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap missed Monday night's game against Indiana because he was suffering from a bruised left knee. The injury is not considered serious and he's day to day. He should be back for Wednesday's game at Oklahoma City.
Analysis: Millsap is playing like an elite Fantasy option right now and is averaging 18 points and 13 rebounds in his last five games. Plus, he's getting 1.0 blocks. He's a must-start for as long as Carlos Boozer is out and this injury is not considered serious.
News:Carlos Boozer underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery on his left knee Friday in Los Angeles, according to the Jazz. Microfracture surgery will not be required as a result. Boozer will now undergo a four-week rehabilitation program, after which his return to activity will be re-evaluated. Paul Millsap will continue to start in his place in the meantime.
Analysis: Boozer is now definitely out until at least mid-February and could easily be out until March. The good news is that microfracture surgery would have kept him out for a year. Fantasy owners have no choice but to continue stashing him away and hoping for as quick of a recovery as possible, but for now he's worthless to your Fantasy team. Paul Millsap will continue to put up excellent numbers in his absence and will be a No. 1-type contributor.
News:Paul Millsap had 27 points and 14 rebounds to extend his NBA-leading double-double streak to 19 games and the Utah Jazz took advantage of the weary New Orleans Hornets in a 116-90 victory Wednesday night. Millsap also had five assists to go with his latest double-double.
Analysis: Millsap is playing like an elite Fantasy option right now and is averaging 21 points and 15 rebounds in his last five games. Plus, he's getting 1.3 blocks. He's a must-start for as long as Carlos Boozer is out.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap returned to action on Friday from a knee injury and tallied 16 points and a season-high 17 rebounds in the game against the Lakers. He missed three games with the knee ailment before returning.
Analysis: Well, Millsap is definitely back from his injury with that performance. Hopefully he'll be able to sustain those kind of numbers with Boozer still sidelined. As long as Boozer isn't playing, Millsap is a No. 2 option at forward and he should be good to go Week 11 (Jan. 5-11).
News: Utah Jazz forward Paul Millsap will miss seven to 10 days because of a sprained knee ligament. He injured his left knee Tuesday night in Milwaukee, but returned to play the second half in a brace. Millsap is scheduled for another MRI on Monday.
Analysis: Millsap's string of 15 straight double-doubles ended Tuesday. He has been starting for Carlos Boozer, who has missed 18 straight games because of a strained quad tendon. By the time he returns, it is possible that Boozer will be back in his regular role as the primary power forward, which would severely reduce Millsap's Fantasy value. However, it is also possible he does not return by then. Keep Millsap stashed and monitor his situation.
News: The short-handed Utah Jazz played without center Mehmet Okur on Tuesday night, then got a major scare when forward Paul Millsap injured his left knee early in the first quarter against the Bucks. Okur, who is averaging 16.6 points and 8.2 rebounds, had back spasms. He had tallied at least 23 points and nine rebounds in each of his last three contests. Okur also missed a game Nov. 17 with back spasms. Millsap was hurt after leaping to block a layup attempt by Michael Redd. He landed awkwardly and stayed on the ground for several minutes before being helped to the locker room, putting no pressure on his left leg. Millsap came in with 15 straight double-doubles, the longest active streak in the NBA. He is averaging 15.1 points, nine rebounds and 1.3 blocks this season. Millsap had an ice bag and wrap on his left knee after the game. "I felt something pop, and I felt like it was over," he said. "I felt like, 'Why me?' After I got it moving, it felt pretty good."
Analysis: Keep an eye on what develops with Millsap and hope he is OK. When healthy, he is a No. 2 Fantasy forward as long as Carlos Boozer remains sidelined. When Boozer comes back, Millsap will go back to being a Fantasy reserve.
News:Paul Millsap scored a career-high 32 points with 10 rebounds for Utah during a 100-91 loss to the Celtics Monday. "I think he played his heart out. That's what happens when you play hard," coach Jerry Sloan said. "It's a sad commentary when someone is remembered for playing hard." Millsap went 13-of-20 from the field and added two assists before fouling out. He has had double-doubles in 12 straight games.
Analysis: Millsap has been outstanding for the Jazz since Carlos Boozer went down with a quad injury. Since Millsap has been so good, the team has been patient with Boozer. Millsap continues to be a solid stopgap Fantasy option and we only hope the Jazz will find room for him even when Boozer is healthy.
News: The Deseret News reports that Carlos Boozer (quadriceps, knee) will not return to action for Monday's game at Boston. After Monday's game, Boozer will have missed 14 straight games. "I don't know when he'll be back," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said after shootaround at TD Banknorth Garden Monday. "We'll just see when he gets here." Paul Millsap will continue to see a big role in his absence.
Analysis: The report adds that if he wants to get in a full practice before returning, opportunity will come Tuesday, when the Jazz practice in Boston before heading to New Jersey for Wednesday's game against the Nets which will be No. 2 in a five-stop Eastern road swing. His best-case scenario would be for him to play in three of the team's four games this week, but there is no guarantee of him playing at all. Fantasy owners should play it safe with him. Paul Millsap remains a solid Fantasy forward or center while he remains out. Millsap should continue to produce solid totals even with Boozer possibly returning at some point this week because Boozer likely will not be 100 percent. He has been out since Nov. 19.
News:The Sports Xchange notes that Paul Millsap recorded his 10th straight double-double starting in place of the injured Carlos Boozer, finishing with 17 points and 12 rebounds in 42 minutes against Portland on Thursday night. Millsap is still expected to return to the bench when Boozer returns from injury.
Analysis: Boozer is close to a return and Fantasy owners are about to get really frustrated that a player who can produce 17-and-11 like Millsap has over his last five games will not get a chance to come close to those numbers. Sure, Millsap's play will earn him nice minutes off the bench, but this has happened before with him. As soon as Boozer is back, he'll go back to a limited role. Obviously, he is worth stashing in larger leagues and any keeper format. Boozer is a free agent this offseason and Millsap may be making a case to be Utah's starting power forward next fall.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that whether Carlos Boozer returns Tuesday at Minnesota or Thursday against Portland, Paul Millsap likely will return to the bench, despite averaging 17.1 points and 10.9 points in nine starts with Boozer out with a strained quadriceps tendon.
Analysis: With Millsap playing well and even with the expected return of Boozer, it's still safe to start him as a No. 3 Fantasy option this week. It's unknown if Boozer will return for sure and how effective he will be. Millsap has obviously taken advantage of this opportunity and should be good for at least one more week.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap, still starting at power forward with Carlos Boozer sidelined by a thigh injury, had 20 points and 13 rebounds Wednesday against the Heat. He also had three assists. He now has a double-double in six straight games, averaging 18.2 points and 11.8 rebounds during that stretch.
Analysis: Boozer averages 20.5 points and 11.7 rebounds, so the Jazz haven't missed a beat with Millsap in the lineup instead. Millsap's numbers obviously stand to drop when Boozer returns, but he still has decent double-double potential as a bench player. He could end up a decent Fantasy reserve, so don't hesitate to add him now.
News:The Sports Xchange reports that Carlos Boozer missed his sixth game Saturday with a sprained left quadriceps tendon but has ditched the cast he was wearing for a brace. Boozer said he might play sometime in the coming week, but the second week of December is probably more likely.
Analysis: It sounds like Boozer is still far too risky to trust in Fantasy leagues for the upcoming scoring period. Give him another week to see where he is at before activating him. Even if he does return at some point this week, he could be limited. Paul Millsap retains some value for one more Fantasy week as a result.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap, continuing to start at power forward as Carlos Boozer recovers from a quadriceps tendon strain and bone bruise, had 24 points and a season-high 16 rebounds Wednesday against the Grizzlies. He has at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in two straight games.
Analysis: Millsap is playing just like Boozer right now, but he'll return to the bench soon enough. Even in a reserve role, he contributes enough points and rebounds to serve as a low-end Fantasy center or forward, but don't expect him to keep playing this well.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that Carlos Boozer is optimistic that he can return "within a week or 10 days" from his quadriceps tendon strain and bone bruise. That would put him out likely until the first days of December. Paul Millsap should play a bigger role in his absence.
Analysis: Boozer still has no official timetable for his return, but if he's hoping to return in a week to 10 days, Fantasy owners should expect him to be out at least that long. Millsap will likely play a bigger role in his absence and is a decent handcuff option if he's available. In leagues where he is eligible as a center, use him as a No. 2 option.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had just eight points off the bench in Wednesday's game against Utah, but he also brought down seven rebounds and is averaging 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over his last five games.
Analysis: Millsap is eligible at forward and center in leagues that allow for multiple positions, so he can be of some value as a low-end No. 2 center in leagues when you need a fill-in despite his role off the bench.
News: Utah PF Paul Millsap scored 16 points off the bench in 32 minutes on Tuesday against Philadelphia. Millsap was 8-of-12 from the field and added six rebounds and three blocks.
Analysis: With playing time, Millsap does well. The last time he played 32 minutes in a game he scored 24 points against the Clippers. He's a cheap source of blocks as well. Millsap will come off the bench for the Jazz but is a decent low-end Fantasy option at PF. He's definitely worth owning in deeper leagues.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap, coming off a 24-point, nine-rebound performance, had 10 points and six rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.
Analysis: Millsap would become a serious Fantasy contributor if he could play more consistent minutes. He looks like he's at least getting more of a look this season, averaging 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds through the first four games. He might deserve a roster spot in Fantasy already, and if Carlos Boozer or Mehmet Okur gets injured, look out.
News: The Jazz are one of the two-game teams this week, but the two matchups come against sub-par defensive teams. The Nuggets gave up the second most points in the league last season and the Clippers gave up 101.1 points themselves. But the Jazz will be without their point guard for at least the first week, meaning they will have to cope with Ronnie Price, Brevin Knight and C.J. Wilson running the show.
Analysis: That could have a trickle-down effect to the rest of the offense in Week 1, but the must-starts, Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur, remain safe plays. Andrei Kirilenko is going to come off the bench in what could be a very suitable role for him as sixth man while Matt Harpring remains sidelined. He'll get to be top dog again with the second unit. C.J. Miles is going to start at small forward, but is not going to get many touches with the first group. Where Fantasy owners will want to look for other options is with the fringe options. Price, Knight and Wilson are going to spend the first two games sorting things out and whoever has the hot hand will play. That's too risky in Fantasy. Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver are very low-end options in a two-game week. Ronnie Brewer should be considered only in leagues that allow five guards.
News: The Utah Jazz say forward Paul Millsap's injured left thumb should be completely healed in six weeks. Millsap had surgery Thursday to repair a ligament torn May 16 during the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Lakers. He'll wear a cast for two weeks.
Analysis: Millsap was useful in spurts as a No. 2 Fantasy center this season, but only in extremely deep leagues. He only scored in double figures three straight times once in the entire season and didn't get enough playing time to rack up the rebounds on a regular basis. He's decent insurance for Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer owners, but that's about it.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap will have surgery Thursday to repair his left thumb, which was injured during the Western Conference semifinals. General manager Kevin O'Connor says Millsap has a torn ligament. His recovery time won't be known until Friday. Millsap's injury occurred last Friday when the Lakers eliminated the Jazz. He scored 15 points
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap (toe) was able to play in the regular season finale Wednesday at San Antonio and will be available for the team's first-round playoff series against Houston. He appeared in all 82 games this season and averaged 8.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap jammed his left big toe in Monday's game but went through practice Tuesday. He is expected to play Wednesday night at San Antonio.
Analysis: Look for Millsap to be in the lineup against the Spurs. If he plays as expected, he would appear in all 82 games for the second year in a row.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap scored 15 points in 29 minutes off the bench Sunday against the Timberwolves. He also had seven rebounds and two assists before fouling out. Millsap has scored in double figures for two straight games after not doing so in his previous eight games.
Analysis: Millsap had some nice spots in the first half, but overall was too inconsistent to rely upon in Fantasy due to his backup role. Unless that changes, he should remain a Fantasy stopgap.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap shot 6-for-7 in 20 minutes off the bench Wednesday against Detroit. He had 19 points with 3 rebounds and a steal.
Analysis: Millsap had some nice spots in the first half, but overall was too inconsistent to rely upon in Fantasy due to his backup role. Unless that changes, he should remain a Fantasy stopgap.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had 12 points with 8 rebounds from the field in Friday's loss at the Clippers. He shot 5-for-5 from the field.
Analysis: Millsap had some nice spots in the first half, but overall was too inconsistent to rely upon in Fantasy due to his backup role. Unless that changes, he should remain a Fantasy stopgap.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had 10 points with 6 rebounds Wednesday at Seattle in just 19 minutes of play off the bench.
Analysis: Millsap had some nice spots in the first half, but overall was too inconsistent to rely upon in Fantasy due to his backup role. Unless that changes, he should remain a Fantasy stopgap.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap, playing with a big bandage over his left eye after getting a cut that needed eight stitches on Friday, had eight points and six rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench Saturday against the Bulls.
Analysis: Millsap continues to be too erratic to rely upon in most Fantasy formats with a reduced role as a backup. His minutes are up-and-down, but he can be useful in deeper leagues as a cheap source for rebounds.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap had 10 points and 10 rebounds off the bench in Wednesday's overtime win at Denver. It was his first double-double since Dec. 12 at Phoenix.
Analysis: Millsap continues to be too erratic to rely upon in most Fantasy formats with a reduced role as a backup. His minutes are up-and-down, but he can be useful in deeper leagues as a cheap source for rebounds.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap nailed 7 of 9 shots from the field and one free throw on his way 15 points in 26 minutes off the bench Wednesday against the Knicks. Millsap, who also had five rebounds, has scored in double figures just twice in his last seven games.
Analysis: Millsap continues to play a secondary role behind both Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur, but he is averaging around eight points and six boards per night. Those numbers make him useful as a short-term Fantasy stopgap in deeper formats -- especially where he's eligible at center.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap scored only four points for the second straight game Monday against the Spurs. He finished with four points and four rebounds in only nine minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Millsap has averaged only 13 minutes over his last three games, which might account for his low scoring. But him having scored in double figures only twice this month, you clearly don't want him in Fantasy right -- not without an injury to someone ahead of him. If you want him on your team, keep him on your bench.
News: Jazz F/C Paul Millsap, who entered Monday's game at the Clippers with only one double-digit scoring performance in January, finished with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Analysis: Millsap continues to play a secondary role behind both Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur, but he is averaging around eight points and six boards per night. Those numbers make him useful as a short-term Fantasy stopgap in deeper formats -- especially where he's eligible at center
News: Jazz reserve F/C Paul Millsap had 11 points off the bench Monday against the Bucks, marking the first time in six games he has scored in double figures. He also had five rebounds.
Analysis: Millsap continues to play a secondary role behind both Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur, but he is averaging around eight points and six boards per night. Those numbers make him useful as a short-term Fantasy stopgap in deeper formats -- especially where he's eligible at center.
News: Jazz PF/C Paul Millsap had eight rebounds for a second consecutive game Thursday vs. the Suns. He added seven points and an assist in just 19 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Millsap continues to play a secondary role behind both Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur, but he is averaging around eight points and six boards per night. That makes him useful as a short-term Fantasy stopgap in deeper formats -- especially where he's eligible at center.
News:Matt Harpring and the Utah reserves saw the beating the Jazz starters put on the Indiana Pacers right from the start. Then they came in and turned up the intensity another notch. Harpring scored a season-high 16 to power the Jazz to a 111-89 victory on Tuesday night. "Our second group played extremely well. Matt Harpring, Jason Hart, Paul Millsap, (Kyle) Korver -- those guys definitely did a great job," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. "They executed the offense and passed the ball." Harpring also added five rebounds and three assists. Korver had 12 points as he reached double figures for the third time in four games since the trade from Philadelphia. Hart added 11 points, five rebounds and three assists. And Milksap added nine points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Analysis: It was a good team effort from the Jazz bench. Continue to use these players in their current role going forward for your Fantasy team.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists during Monday's game against the Trail Blazers. It was the second straight game he scored in double figures and the fourth time in six games.
Analysis: Millsap hasn't been an explosive scorer this season with just 12 games of 10 or more points. He also has just one double-double. Millsap is a valuable commodity off the bench for Utah, and starts when necessary, but is more of a low-end Fantasy option at this time.
News: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Jazz C Mehmet Okur was unable to play in Wednesday's game at Phoenix because of the left shoulder injury he suffered Tuesday vs. Portland. He underwent treatment with ice, electric stimulation and ultrasound before being ruled out. "It's really hard," Okur said. "I want to go out there and play. But I guess this is part of the job." Paul Millsap started in his place and had 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Analysis: Okur's season has been a struggle to this point and the injury certainly doesn't help matters. It sounds like he could miss another game or two with the injury and Fantasy owners should start to look for healthier options. Paul Millsap is a very solid choice.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap had seven points and nine rebounds off the bench in 23 minutes of play Saturday at Dallas.
Analysis: A deep sleeper entering the season, Millsap, a second-year man, hasn't performed much better than he did as a rookie. Without an injury to a member of the Utah frontcourt, he remains a low-end Fantasy option and probably doesn't merit his 46 percent ownership in leagues.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap, who poured in 24 points last Wednesday, has only 11 total points in three games since then after scoring six points in Monday night's 117-93 rout of the Kings.
Analysis: The rookie out of Louisiana Tech has come back to earth with a bump these last three games, but if those of you who picked him up after his big outing last week expected him to keep that pace up, then you need to pay more attention. He will have the odd nice game now and again, but he's only worth using in the deepest of leagues at this point.
News: Jazz C Mehmet Okur shot just 2-for-10 from the field in Wednesday's win vs. Cleveland and was not on the floor for most of the fourth quarter as the team went with a hotter hand in second-year player Paul Millsap. Okur finished with five points and 10 rebounds with four assists. Millsap finished with 24 points, five rebounds, five steals, an assist and a block.
Analysis: Don't worry about Okur losing his job to the young upstart, but he could be losing a handful of minutes to him if he keeps playing this well. Millsap provides great energy off the bench and looks like he could be a starter on most NBA teams. He's going to have to carve out a niche behind Okur and Carlos Boozer and it appears he's doing his best to do that.
News: Jazz PF/C Paul Millsap scored 16 points with 10 boards in Tuesday's season-opener at the Warriors. He played 29 minutes, mostly at center, with Mehmet Okur in foul trouble.
Analysis: Millsap took advantage of a nice situation to contribute and proved he can contribute when given regular mintues -- something he did when given the chance as a rookie. Okur had a horrible first game, but should recover quickly and that will cut into Millsap's minutes and looks, but this is why Millsap should be owned in keeper formats and deeper seasonal leagues.
News: Second-year PF Paul Millsap, starting in place of the still-absent Carlos Boozer, scored 15 points and had eight rebounds in a preseason game at Detroit on Friday.
Analysis: Millsap averaged 6.8 ppg and 5.2 rpg last season, but he only played 18 minutes a game. All three numbers stand to increase this season, and, since Millsap also qualifies at center, draft him as a sleeper in the late rounds of Fantasy drafts.
News: Jazz coach Jerry Sloan is pleased with the play of rookie forward Paul Millsap. He had a career-high five steals against Indiana on Wednesday in just 17 minutes. Millsap averages 18 minutes per game, and the second-round pick is seventh in scoring, first in shooting percentage (though naturally, he doesn't have enough attempts to qualify), and first in rebounding among all NBA rookies.
Analysis: Millsap is a great keeper option and should be used as a low-end Fantasy forward for the rest of this year. If the Jazz weren't loaded at forward with Carlos Boozer, Andrei Kirilenko, Matt Harpring and Mehmet Okur, Millsap would have increased value.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap wore ice over his right elbow after Wednesday's game, and said his elbow has been bothering him for a couple of weeks. "It's limiting what I can do out there," said the rookie forward. But it didn't keep Millsap from collecting six rebounds on Wednesday, including a critical offensive board with four seconds remaining.
Analysis: Consider Millsap a No. 3 Fantasy forward as long as Carlos Boozer is hurt.
News: Power forward Paul Millsap continued his strong play in Carlos Boozer's absence on Saturday, and not just by scoring 18 points. Millsap collected six offensive rebounds, pulled away three steals and blocked two shots, all critical plays in a tight game. "So far, there's nothing we've asked him to do that he hasn't just gone out there and done," coach Jerry Sloan said.
Analysis: Millsap's Fantasy value still depends on Boozer, but it appears he could be useful at least for the upcoming scoring period as a stopgap option.
News: Utah forward Paul Millsap returned to the bench just one game after making his first NBA start, but the rookie's performance had nothing to do with it, coach Jerry Sloan said. "He's just too valuable off the bench," Sloan said. "That's too important to us." By making Millsap a reserve (and returning Jarron Collins to the starting lineup), Sloan is also better able to keep the rookie out of foul trouble, which has been a recurring problem for Millsap.
Analysis: Consider Millsap a low-end Fantasy option with Boozer sidelined.
News: Okur led the Jazz with 18 points, 11 rebounds and had five assists in Monday's loss against the Nets. Paul Millsap finished with 16 points and 12 boards. Utah was playing without leading scorer and rebounder Carlos Boozer (knee) and coach Jerry Sloan, who missed the game with the flu.
Analysis: Millsap has exploded in Carlos Boozer's (knee) absence, posting consecutive double-doubles. He has averaged 15.5 ppg and 14.5 rpg over the past two games, but expect his Fantasy appeal to be short-term at best.
News: Power forward Paul Millsap didn't merely replace Carlos Boozer under the basket, he replicated him, too. Millsap played a season-high 35 minutes Saturday after Boozer was injured, and he rewarded his team's confidence with 15 points, two blocked shots and an amazing 17 rebounds.
Analysis: Not only was that a career high for the rookie, but it included 10 offensive rebounds -- more than the Hornets collected as a team (eight). That could be a sign of things to come in the upcoming week as the team will be without Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko for at least the next game or two. Consider him a great stopgap option this week.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap scored five points and brought down five boards in just over 15 minutes of action off the bench during Friday's overtime loss at Seattle.
Analysis: Outside of being a decent shot blocker, Millsap doesn't do much else at this time, limiting his Fantasy value. He is at-best a reserve forward in the deepest of leagues.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap blocked three shots on Saturday, and believes he knows why: opponents don't expect it. "I'm probably a little underrated as a shot-blocker, because I come from the weak side," the rookie said. "People aren't looking for me to get there from the other side." He also had five points and eight rebounds in the game.
Analysis: Outside of being a decent shot blocker, Millsap doesn't do much else, limiting his Fantasy value. He is at-best a reserve forward in the deepest of Fantasy leagues.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap's numbers have declined over the past couple of months, and the rookie said it's partly because he is not used to playing so many games in such a short time. "I fell out for a few weeks. My energy level ain't been up," Millsap said. But the rookie responded with 11 points (on 4-for-4 shooting) and six rebounds in 15 minutes against Portland on Saturday.
Analysis: Millsap's production has dipped to 6.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He is not a strong Fantasy option at this time.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap (wrist) was able to play on Saturday against the Grizzlies.
Analysis: Millsap been a nice waiver wire addition for Fantasy owners this season and is worth owning in all leagues of 10-plus teams as a reserve.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap injured his left wrist while diving to the floor for a rebound in Charlotte on Friday, and had the hand tightly wrapped in ice after the game.
Analysis: The rookie said doctors did not believe he broke any bones, and he intends to play in Saturday's game at Memphis. He's been a nice waiver wire addition for Fantasy owners this season and is worth owning in all leagues of 10-plus teams as a reserve.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap scored 13 points in just 17 minutes off the bench Thursday night at the L.A. Lakers. He shot 6-for-7 from the floor, adding seven boards in the game.
Analysis: His minutes have gone down since Andrei Kirilenko returned from injury, but he still has the ability to post games like this. The problem is that he'll have to shoot near perfect from the floor, as he did Thursday, to have nice outputs. Consider him in larger leagues in the hopes that he gains more playing time down the line.
News: Rookie Paul Millsap helped the Utah Jazz to yet another win Monday against Toronto. Millsap, a second-round draft choice, established a career high with 20 points and had five offensive rebounds, four of which led to second-chance points. "I just wanted to come in and make some impact. If it's just getting one rebound, one steal a game, it's all right with me," Millsap said. "I'm going in there and doing what I've got to do."
Analysis: Millsap had a double-double in his last game against Phoenix. His minutes and numbers will probably go down once Andrei Kirilenko returns from an ankle injury, but he is worth keeping an eye on. As head coach Jerry Sloan said, he keeps giving him a reason to play him, so he might be earning himself some quality minutes.
News: Jazz PF Paul Millsap had another do-everything night against Seattle, including one big play after another during a two-minute stretch of the second quarter. The rookie grabbed a rebound away from Nick Collison and forced a jump ball, which the Jazz controlled; blocked a lay-up by Rashard Lewis and rebounded the ball; and drew a charging foul by Collison. "He keeps giving me reasons to play him," said coach Jerry Sloan.
Analysis: Millsap scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds off the bench. His minutes and numbers will probably go down once Andrei Kirilenko returns from an ankle injury, but he is worth someone keeping an eye on. As Sloan said, he keeps giving him a reason to play him, so he might be earning himself some quality minutes.
News: Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) is expected to miss at least the next three games, so Ronnie Brewer and Paul Millsap are likely the biggest beneficiaries of more minutes.
Analysis: Despite the increase in playing time, Brewer and Millsap are not attractive Fantasy options in most leagues.
News: Jazz F Paul Millsap played nine minutes in the fourth quarter Wednesday at New Jersey, forced Richard Jefferson into a couple of turnovers, and only got outscored by the Nets' veteran 4-2. "I think I did pretty well," said Millsap, who was surprised that Sloan called upon a rookie down the stretch. "There were some calls that could have gone either way, but I'm a young guy."
Analysis: Millsap actually saw minutes over Carlos Boozer because Jerry Sloan thought he could hang with Jefferson thanks to his speed. Consider Millsap a long-term project.
News: The Jazz will start the season with G Derek Fisher, G C.J. Miles, G Ronnie Brewer, G Dee Brown, F Matt Harpring, F Paul Millsap, C Jarron Collins and C Rafael Araujo as their options off the bench.
Analysis: Fisher will be counted upon to both spell and complement Deron Williams, sometimes running the offense, sometimes spreading the defense with spot-up three-pointers. Brewer adds much needed athleticism to Jazz's offense, and could revive the fast break. He's a Fantasy sleeper and is worthy of consideration in leagues of 12-plus teams. Harpring remains an occasional contributor with a solid midrange jumper, useful in Rotisserie formats and deeper mixed leagues as a short-term replacement and Millsap has impressed Sloan with his relentless rebounding. The Jazz will be hurt by their lack of size in the middle, however; Collins and Araujo are physical but not intimidating. Neither player is worthy of Fantasy consideration at this time.
