O'Bryant does well in first start

(4/9/2009) Raptors C Andrea Bargnani did not play Wednesday against the Pacers because of a sore left heel. Patrick O'Bryant got his first career start in Bargnani's place and finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

O'Bryant traded to Kings

(2/19/2009) The Boston Globe reports that the Celtics traded backup center Patrick O'Bryant to the Sacramento Kings. The Celtics will not receive a player in return, according to an NBA source. There is a possibility that the club will receive a draft pick in exchange for the 7-footer, who averaged 1.5 points in 26 games for the Celtics after signing as a free agent in the offseason.

Celtics with three games in Week 1

(10/25/2008) The Boston Celtics will play the Cleveland Cavaliers (Oct. 29), the Chicago Bulls (Oct. 31) and the Indiana Pacers (Nov. 1) in Week 1 (Oct. 27-Nov.2) of the Fantasy Basketball season. The defending champions get a tough matchup to start the season against a Cavaliers team that allowed just 96.7 points per game last season. But things get easier after that. The Bulls ranked 16th in the NBA (100.4 ppg) and the Pacers ranked 26th (105.4) and have don't have Jermaine O'Neal any more. Instead, Troy Murphy and Rasho Nesterovic man the low post.

O'Bryant signed by Celtics

(7/16/2008) The Boston Celtics signed free agent center Patrick O'Bryant, a former first-round pick who played 40 games for Golden State last season. The Celtics did not disclose terms of the deal announced Wednesday.

O'Bryant not a factor as rookie

(6/10/2007) Warriors C Patrick O'Bryant appeared in just 16 games during his rookie season, spending much of the year in the NBA development league.

O'Bryant recalled by Warriors

(3/30/2007) The Warriors recalled first-round draft pick Patrick O'Bryant from the NBA Developmental League for the third and final time this season.

O'Bryant sent back to NBADL

(3/10/2007) Patrick O'Bryant was sent back on the Bakersfield express Thursday, returning to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Developmental League for the third time this season.

O'Bryant might stick around

(2/28/2007) Warriors center Patrick O'Bryant made the trip with the Warriors and might stick with the team for the rest of the season. The Warriors have only 14 players on their roster, one of whom, Zarko Cabarkapa (back surgery), won't play again this season. O'Bryant, who has made two trips to the NBA Developmental League this season, might be the inactive 13th man when everyone's healthy. But that's not the case now with Davis out, so he figures to get a uniform on all five games of the current road trip. He played the final three minutes at Milwaukee, hitting one of his two shots.

O'Bryant gets playing time

(2/26/2007) Warriors center Patrick O'Bryant made his first appearance Sunday since Jan. 17, recording two points, two rebounds, two turnovers and a foul in six minutes. O'Bryant was recalled from Bakersfield of the NBA Developmental League over the All-Star break.

O'Bryant not in plans right now

(2/22/2007) Although rookie center Patrick O'Bryant will be with the team through Monday at a minimum, the Warriors have no plans to use him in a "twin towers" scheme with Andris Biedrins sliding over from center to power forward, according to the Contra Costa Times.

O'Bryant barely gets any time

(2/18/2007) Warriors C Patrick O'Bryant played in just 13 games heading into the All-Star break.

O'Bryant shipped back to NBDL

(1/21/2007) Patrick O'Bryant was shipped back to the NBDL after being called to the Warriors for one game -- Wednesday's loss to the Clippers. The team's first-round pick in June had five points in 10 minutes against the Clippers, against whom the Warriors were able to suit up just seven healthy bodies. Importing four Pacers has increased those numbers, so O'Bryant will get his playing time for the time being with the Bakersfield Jam, for whom he averaged 6.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in six games.

P. O'Bryant rejoins Warriors

(1/18/2007) Patrick O'Bryant rejoined the Warriors in Los Angeles after having played six games in the Developmental League for the Bakersfield Jam.

O'Bryant on his way to NBDL

(1/3/2007) Patrick O'Bryant, the team's lottery pick last June, has been sent to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Developmental League in order to maximize his playing time. The 7-footer had totaled 20 points, 14 rebounds and 20 fouls in just 90 minutes of action in the Warriors' first 32 games.

O'Bryant not much of a factor

(12/23/2006) Warriors backup center Patrick O'Bryant played just two minutes in Friday's win at Orlando, picking up three fouls.

O'Bryant not getting much PT

(11/16/2006) Warriors C Patrick O' Bryant is logging just 8 1/2 minutes of playing time in four games this season. He has been inactive for four games this season and has only scored two points all season.

P. O'Bryant plays in opener

Warriors beat up on Turkish team

(10/13/2006) Dajuan Wagner scored 18 points to lead seven Golden State players in double figures and the Warriors rolled to a 120-66 preseason victory over Efes Pilsen of Turkey on Thursday. Troy Murphy added 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Warriors in their exhibition opener.

Warriors' O'Bryant out 4-6 weeks

(9/7/2006) Warriors rookie center Patrick O'Bryant probably will miss the start of training camp after breaking his right foot. O'Bryant, the ninth overall selection in the June's draft, was injured during an offseason scrimmage in Las Vegas last month. Team doctors diagnosed the injury in San Francisco this week. He won't need surgery, but he is wearing an immobilizing boot. He will be out for at least four to six weeks, most likely keeping him on the sidelines when Golden State opens camp under new coach Don Nelson.

O'Bryant inked by the Warriors

(7/9/2006) Patrick O'Bryant, who was selected with the ninth pick overall in the 2006 NBA Draft, signed a two-year rookie contract with the Golden State Warriors. The club holds an option for the third and fourth season.

O'Bryant selected by Warriors

(6/28/2006) The Golden State Warriors selected seven-footer Patrick O'Bryant out of Bradley with the ninth pick overall in Wednesday's 2006 NBA Draft. He can also be a shot changed down low for the Warriors.
