He's clearly not a consistent scorer and since he doesn't do much else in high numbers for Fantasy owners outside of three-point shooting, he's only worth owning in deeper leagues.

With the Nuggets playing without Carmelo Anthony, Afflalo stepped up his game once again and scored 24 points and this time hit six threes. He shot 9 for 11 overall over 35 minutes and added seven assists and a steal.
Analysis: Afflalo is shooting over 63 percent over his last five games and has 11 threes in his last two alone. Anthony will be back soon and this is not going to continue for Afflalo. Still, if he can turn this into consistency, he could be worth using in deeper formats.
News: No last-second magic for the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday night. Arron Afflalo made sure of that. Afflalo had a season-high 19 points and hit two 3-pointers in overtime to help the Denver Nuggets beat the Hornets 116-110. Afflalo shot 7 of 12 from the field as he got the start. He hit five threes and added three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Analysis: Afflalo is averaging 11.6 points per game over his last five games and that comes with two threes per night. Still, he has only been in double figures in three of his last five and is clearly inconsistent. He's not worth starting in most Fantasy leagues but should be owned in deeper formats.

Analysis: The former UCLA standout is averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 boards, a steal and almost a three per night over his last five games. He's seeing some more minutes of late but that isn't expected to continue. What you can expect out of Afflalo remains mediocre production only worth using in deep Fantasy leagues.

Chauncey Billups says Afflalo can handle any assignment thrown his way because of his defensive intensity. "He's just not going to let anybody get anything easy," Billups said. "If it's a bigger guy, he's going to front him hard, where he won't be able to touch it. He's going to pressure guys and he's not going to let you get in your sweet spots. It's not always how big and tall you are, it's about heart and will and determination and he has all those things." Afflalo is a solid defender, but is not much of an offensive weapon at this stage in his career. He remains just a long-term Fantasy keeper.
