News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was in foul trouble for much of Thursday's game against the Mavericks, but he might end up seeing an increased role as a result of the game. Starter Danilo Gallinari went down with a left knee injury that appears to be serious, which could open up a bigger role for Chandler. Chandler had eight points on 3 of 6 shooting, with five rebounds, in 21 minutes a 95-94 loss Thursday.
Analysis: If Gallinari is forced to miss time, Chandler might not enter the starting lineup, but he would certainly take Gallinari's minutes as the small-ball power forward spot. If not for the foul trouble, Chandler could have had his fifth double-digit scoring game in a row Thursday. He is averaging 14.4 points per game in 15 games since the start of March, and should be consider a solid Fantasy option down the stretch in all formats.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was able to get back on the court during Monday's contest against the Hornets. Chandler, who had missed the the team's past two games with to a separated shoulder, finished with 11 points in the 110-86 defeat. He went 3 of 10 from the field and added four rebounds and two assists to his stat line, while logging 30 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Chandler looked a bit rusty in his return to the court Monday, but that was to be expected after having the last five games off. However, he did not seem to suffer any type of setback with his shoulder and should be good to go moving forward. Despite his off night versus New Orleans, Chandler was finally rounding into form prior to the injury, averaging 15.5 points over his previous 10 games. Fantasy owners should continue to roll with the 25-year-old as a viable low-end start in deeper formats, now that he is healthy again.
News: As expected, Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was able to get back on the court for Monday's contest against the Hornets. Chandler had missed the team's past two games due to a separated shoulder.
Analysis: Chandler was finally rounding into form prior to the injury, averaging 15.5 points in the month of March. Fantasy owners can consider him a viable start in deeper formats heading into Week 22 (March 25-31) now that he is healthy again.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler (shoulder) participated in practice Sunday and is listed as probable for Monday's contest against the Hornets, according to the Denver Post.
Analysis: It seems as if Chandler will be able to return sooner than expected, especially since he told reporters that he was expected to miss the team's next three or four games earlier this week. Chandler has missed the last two games with a separated shoulder and should be eased back into the rotation, so we'll continue to monitor his progress moving forward. He is averaging 15.5 points in the month of March, so consider him a viable option in deeper Fantasy formats for Week 22 (March 25-March 31).
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler told reporters prior to Thursday's game against the 76ers that he will probably miss the team's next three or four games due to a separated shoulder. He suffered the injury Tuesday against the Thunder and was nowt in uniform for Thursday's game. Chandler said he hopes to return in time for next Wednesday's matchup with the Spurs.
Analysis: Chandler was finally rounding into form prior to the injury, averaging 15.5 points in the month of March, so hopefully he can improve quickly and get back on the floor. It looks like he will miss at least a chunk of Fantasy Week 22 (March 25-31), so consider him a risky start moving forward.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler is doubtful to play Thursday against Philadelphia due to the shoulder separation he suffered Tuesday against Oklahoma City, reports the Denver Post. He's officially considered day to day. X-rays were negative.
Analysis: Chandler was playing well with a 15.3 point per game average over his last 10 contests. The Nuggets have been playing extremely well as a group and would like to have Chandler healthy for the stretch. They'll let him rest and he should be a few days and then return to action. When healthy, Chandler has solid value in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler had a strong run of play come to an abrupt end Tuesday against the Thunder, after he suffered a separated left shoulder in the second half of action. Chandler played 23 minutes in the game and scored nine points on 4 of 8 shooting prior to suffering the injury. He could not return to the game after suffering the injury, and the extent of the separation is not yet known.
Analysis: Chandler was averaging 15.3 points per game over his previous 10 games, so hopefully this injury is one that he can return from quickly. His teammate Andre Miller was able to return from a separated shoulder after just a few days last season, but a timeline has not been set for Chandler. Chandler is finding his comfort level in the team's fast-paced offense, and was showing no signs of slowing down. We will keep an eye on Chandler's status moving forward, but it would not be a surprise if he was forced to miss time. He remains a solid Fantasy option in deeper formats, if healthy.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler turned in his best offensive game of the season during Friday's contest against the Thunder. Chandler matched his career high by dropping in 35 points in the 105-103 win on 13 of 19 shooting from the field. He made six of his seven attempts from behind the arc and also added three rebounds and one assist to his stat line, while logging 36 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Chandler appears to finally be heating up as he seems to be fully recovered from his nagging groin issue. The 25-year-old has scored more than 20 points in three of his last five games and is averaging 19.6 points over that span on 54 percent shooting from the field. Chandler can be considered a decent source for scoring, rebounds, and 3-pointers when he is on, so get him active now that he is heating up.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler got a start on Monday against the Lakers with Danilo Gallinari out. Chandler took advantage as he took 18 shots, one shy of Ty Lawson's 19 for the team high. Chandler hit a team-high 10 of those shots and scored a team-high 23 points over just 25 minutes. He went 3 for 5 from 3-point range and contributed four rebounds, one steal and one assist.
Analysis: The Nuggets, who had won just two of their last five games entering Monday, played really well with Chandler in the starting lineup and possibly could consider keeping him there. He's scored at least 22 points in two of his last three games and is really warming from long distance. A solid rebounder as well, Chandler could be worth adding in plenty of Fantasy formats for the stretch run.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler had one of his better performances of the year on Friday night against the Wizards. He scored 22 points and hauled in four rebounds while playing 28 minutes off the bench. Chandler also posted a steal in the 119-113 loss. He went 8 for 15 from the field, including 1 for 4 from downtown, and made all five of his free throws.
Analysis: Chandler scored 20-plus points for the third time this season on Friday after entering the contest averaging just 6.3 points on 29 percent shooting in the previous five contests. He has carved himself a nice role off the bench in Denver after dealing with injuries earlier in the year but lacks the consistency to be considered a reliable option in Fantasy. Leave Chandler for deeper formats at this point.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was able to get back on the court for Wednesday's contest against the Nets. Chandler, who was forced to sit out of Denver's loss to the Raptors on Tuesday after aggravating a groin injury, finished with 11 points on 5 of 13 shooting from the field in the 119-108 defeat. He also added seven rebounds and one assist to his stat line, while logging 32 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Chandler was inserted into the starting lineup for the first time this season against the Nets as the Nuggets were a bit shorthanded. The 25-year-old is still trying to find his rhythm after missing the first three months of the season while recovering from offseason hip surgery as he entered Wednesday's tilt averaging 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds over his first 16 games. Consider Chandler more of a low-end option in deeper formats at this point.
News: The Denver Post reports that Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler is a game-time decision Wednesday at Brooklyn. Chandler sat out Tuesday's game at the Raptor with a groin injury.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should use caution when setting your lineup since Chandler has already missed one game with the ailment, and the Nuggets could be safe and keep him out with the All-Star break upon us. When healthy and active, Chandler is a low-end Fantasy option in all leagues.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was ruled out for Tuesday's contest at Toronto due to a groin injury. Chandler was able to play through his issue in Denver's triple-overtime loss to the Celtics last Sunday, but was unable to loosen it up during the team's morning shootaround.
Analysis: Chandler's groin was still a bit tender Tuesday, so the Nuggets decided to err on the side of caution and sit him down. While he is being considered day to day with his injury, he could also sit out Wednesday's matchup at Brooklyn with the All-star break looming.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler netted seven points and grabbed eight rebounds during Denver's 118-114 triple-overtime loss at Boston on Sunday night. Chandler connected on just 3 of 9 attempts from the field (1 for 2 from beyond the 3-point arc) as he finished with a 33.3 field-goal percentage for the second game in a row. He also contributed two blocks and an assist while logging 33 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Chandler didn't appear to be limited by a minor groin issue that landed him as questionable for Sunday's game and collected a season high in minutes. His latest subpar showing from the field has been part of a trend during the early part of this month as he's been held to less than 35 percent in four of his five games. Until he regains some consistency, he should be viewed as a viable Fantasy option only in deeper formats.
News: The Denver Post reports that Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler, who is dealing with a groin injury, said he will play Sunday at Boston. Chandler played on Saturday but news broke after the game that he'd be a game-time decision for Sunday.
Analysis: Chandler still has some time before tip and could decide he can't play so Fantasy owners have to watch out for that. Chandler has struggled shooting the basketball and a lot of that could be due to his injury issues. He has been held under 35 percent shooting from the field in four of his last five contests while averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 boards over that span. It may take the 25-year-old a few scoring periods to bounce back out of his shooting funk as the Nuggets play just twice in Week 16 (Feb. 11-17) before the All-Star break. Fantasy owners should view Chandler as more of a low-end option at this point.
News: After going 8 of 9 shooting from the field with five treys his last time out, Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler cooled off Saturday night against the Cavaliers. Chandler went 2 of 6 from the field, including 0 of 2 from downtown, and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. He finished with seven points, four rebounds and one assist while logging 23 minutes of game action in a 111-103 victory. The Denver Post reported after the game that Chandler is "very" questionable for Sunday's contest against the Celtics as he continues to nurse a nagging groin injury.
Analysis: Just a night after bouncing back from a mediocre shooting performance, Chandler fell flat once again against the Cavaliers. His shooting woes may be connected to his lingering groin injury, so we'll continue to keep an eye on his status moving forward.
News: After being held to just seven points on 3 of 1 shooting his last time out, Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler bounced back with a productive performance Thursday night against the Bulls. Chandler went 8 of 9 shooting from the field, including a perfect 5 of 5 from downtown, and 3 of 3 from the charity stripe. He finished with 24 points, two rebounds and two steals in a 128-96 victory. He also chipped in with a blocked shot while logging 19 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Chandler got back on track in a major way Thursday night as he was able to score more points than minutes logged in a convincing win against the Bulls. He cracked double figures in scoring for the first time this month and is averaging 13.3 points and 4.3 rebounds through his first three February games. He was in a bit of a funk before Thursday's game, as he shot just 26 percent from the field over his previous four games. We hope that the 25-year-old is starting to find his shot again. Chandler will continue to see sole solid minutes off the bench for the Nuggets, so consider him a decent low-end option in deeper Fantasy formats moving forward.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler did not have his finest shooting performance Tuesday night against the Bucks but was able to help out on the boards. He scored seven points and hauled in a season-high 10 rebounds in the 112-104 win. He went just 3 for 11 from the field, missing both of his attempts from downtown, and converted 1 of 2 free throws. Chandler also posted two blocks and an assist while playing 21 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Chandler has been held to single-digit scoring in all three of his games since returning from a groin injury but has been able to help out in other categories. He should continue to see decent minutes off the bench in Denver so hopefully the 25-year-old will be able to find his shot again. Keep tabs of his progress but Chandler remains more of a low-end Fantasy option at this point.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was able to get back on the court for Wednesday's contest against the Rockets. Chandler, who sat out Denver's win over the Pacers on Monday night with a groin injury, finished with seven points in the 118-110 win. He made three of his nine field-goal attempts and also added six rebounds, one steal and an assist to his stat line, while logging 25 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Chandler has been able to work his into coach George Karl's rotation after missing most of the first half of the season while recovering from offseason hip surgery. He entered Wednesday's tilt averaging 8.9 points and 5.0 rebounds over his first 10 games but he shooting just 37 percent from the field over that stretch. While Chandler's ability to fill up a stat sheet has made him a popular Fantasy option in the past, he should be considered more of a low-end option in deeper formats at this point in the year.
News:The Denver Post reports Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler, who missed Monday's game with a groin strain, will return to action Wednesday vs. Houston.
Analysis: Chandler has been limited to 10 games this season because of injury. He has actually provided a nice scoring spark since returning to the lineup in mid-January after missing several weeks with a hip injury. He is averaging 10.5 points per game in January. Still, Chandler is mostly a low-end Fantasy option when healthy.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler missed Monday's game versus Indiana due to a left groin strain, reports the Denver Post. Chandler is day to day for the Nuggets. He played just eight minutes in the team's last game Saturday against the Kings.
Analysis: Chandler scored 20 points over 24 minutes on Wednesday in Houston and then barely played the following game. It may have been due to the groin strain, though it wasn't reported at the time. Chandler is day to day and is a solid start in deeper Fantasy formats thanks to his 3-point shooting and rebounding.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler had his best game of the season Wednesday against the Rockets, as he poured in a season-high 20 points. He shot 7 of 15 from the field in the game, with two three-pointers made, while going 4 of 5 at the free-throw line. He added six rebounds and three steals in 24 minutes, in a 105-95 win.
Analysis: Chandler has been surprisingly effective since returning from his hip injury, scoring in double figures in four of his first five games back. He is averaging 12.6 points per game in that span, despite playing fewer than 25 minutes in each game. Chandler looks healthy for the first time since 2010-11, and could see his role continue to grow moving forward. Fantasy owners in deeper formats might want to start grabbing Chandler off the waiver wire.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler turned in a decent performance as he scored in double figures for the third time this season during Sunday's contest against the Thunder. Chandler scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds off the bench in a 121-118 overtime victory. He went 4 of 8 shooting from the field, including 0 of 1 from downtown, but a perfect 4 of 4 from the charity stripe. He also chipped in with an assist while logging 16 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Chandler continues to post some solid minutes off the bench and is starting to work his way back into the rotation. He is averaging 8.6 points and 4.2 rebounds through his first five games back after missing his last 32 games with a hip injury. We expect him to continue to produce at this rate as long as he is seeing roughly 20 minutes per night. Fantasy owners should consider him a low-end option in most formats heading into Week 13 (Jan. 21-27).
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler returned to lineup during Sunday's contest against the Warriors after missing his last 32 games with a hip injury. Chandler, who was cleared to suit up, scored 14 points and grabbed six boards in a 116-105 victory. He went 6 of 14 shooting from the field, including 2 of 5 from beyond the arc. He also chipped in with three steals and an assist while logging 21 minutes off the bench. "I know he's playing better than the first time, when we were going every other day and the training camp stuff," coach George Karl told the Denver Post. "He didn't have that bounce he has now. I think he has more confidence and I think his body is in a better place."
Analysis: Chandler earned some decent minutes off the bench in his first appearance since Nov. 12. He will likely try to work his way back into the rotation While Sunday's performance may have helped his cause, we'd still like to monitor his progress moving forward. If Chandler continues to see minutes like this and starts producing at a consistent pace, then he'll likely gain more Fantasy value. For now, he should be left for the deepest of Fantasy formats.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler is looking forward to getting back on the court Sunday against Golden State, reports the team's official site Saturday. Chandler has been cleared to play following his hip injury. He's only played in four games this season for the Nuggets.
Analysis: Chandler may find it difficult to crack the Nuggets' current rotation and will surely be worked back into the mix slowly. We don't foresee a whole lot of immediate Fantasy value for the guard. Fantasy owners should monitor his progress upon his return before doing anything with him off waivers.
News:The Denver Post reports Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler said Wednesday he remains on track to return Sunday against the Warriors. Chandler, who has been out since mid-November with a hip injury, said he has gone through a few practices without no complications.
Analysis: Chandler has been out several weeks, but he insists he will be 100 percent upon his return. Unfortunately, however, he will have to work his way back into the rotation and his minutes could remain somewhat limited. He was averaging just 17.5 minutes per game before getting hurt. Chandler has been a useful Fantasy option in the past, but he has been marred by injury since the 2011-12 season and has low-end appeal.
News: After returning to practice last week for the first time since last November, Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler (hip) has advanced to setting a timetable for his possible return to game action. Chandler, who has been sidelined since Nov. 12 with a troublesome hip injury that has taken longer to heal than expected, is hoping to return to lineup Jan. 13 against Golden State. "Im very excited," Chandler said after practice last week. "The first time I was excited to play but I was kind of weak and just wasnt ready. This time around I feel really strong and confident about it."
Analysis: Chandler has been limited to only four games this season, and said he is roughly at "85-90 percent" with his hip injury. But the veteran shooting guard insisted he would be at full strength in less than two weeks when he hopes to return against the Warriors. "I feel pretty good, actually," said Chandler, who was averaging 6.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game before the injury. Fantasy owners should monitor his status in progress as he could be a useful option in deeper formats if he can regain the scoring touch he showed with the Knicks.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler is hoping to return to practice by the first week of January as he continues to recover from a hip issue, the Denver Post reports. Chandler has played in only four games this season and has been sidelined since Nov. 12 to rest his hip and groin. He had surgery on his hip during the offseason. "I don't think he's playing in the near future," coach George Karl said. "He might be playing in practice."
Analysis: Chandler continues to miss playing time and according to Karl, it doesn't appear he is ready to hit the court in a game anytime soon. Injuries have taken a toll on him during his tenure in Denver and he is averaging just 6.5 points in his limited action this year. He was averaging 15.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game prior to his trade to the Nuggets in 2011. He is only worth stashing in deeper Fantasy formats for now.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler continues to sit out due to his hip injury and is not likely to travel with the team during the upcoming five-game road trip beginning Wednesday in Toronto. That means Chandler won't return until at least Dec. 14 against Memphis.
Analysis: Chandler last played on Nov. 12 at Phoenix and that followed a three-game absence. He hasn't been able to play consistently since the first few games of the season for Denver. Chandler was expected to have a big role for the Nuggets this year but has been unable to get healthy. Hopefully all this time off will see him healthy once he's able to return. For now, he should be on waivers or benches in all Fantasy formats.
News: Denver forward Wilson Chandler has no timetable to return to action, according to coach George Karl Friday, reports the Denver Post. Karl said he's getting conflicting reports about Chandler's condition. Chandler has missed five straight games due to a hip problem.
Analysis: Chandler was expected to have a big role for Denver and Karl, who didn't want to go further into detail about Chandler's condition. Chandler has appeared in four games for the Nuggets, averaging 6.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game. He never really looked right, so hopefully some extra time away will help him get to full strength. Chandler is worth stashing only in the deepest of Fantasy formats at this point.
News: The Nuggets have decided to shut down struggling guard Wilson Chandler until December, according to a report by the Denver Post Sunday. Chandler, who has been limited all year long while recovering from hip surgery last season, will take a few weeks off to try and recover fully from the injury.
Analysis: Chandler has appeared in four games for the Nuggets, averaging 6.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game. He never really looked right, so hopefully some extra time away will help him get to full strength. Chandler is worth stashing only in the deepest of Fantasy formats at this point.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler was ruled inactive once again for Saturday night's game against the Spurs. Chandler has missed his last two games as he continues to recover from offseason left hip surgery.
Analysis: Chandler played in three of his first four games this season but has struggled to get back on the court since. He has played in just two of the team's last seven games, including earlier this week against the Suns. Chandler has told reporters earlier this season that he is hoping to play back-to-back games at some point down the road this season, so it seems as if the Nuggets will take a cautious approach with the 25-year-old. The team's cautious approach will result in limited playing time, which will likely hamper his Fantasy value throughout the season. At this point in the season, he is only worth stashing in deeper formats until he returns to full health.
News: The Denver Post is reporting that Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler may have a chance to return to the court against the Suns Monday night. Chandler has the last three games this season as he continues to recover from offseason left hip surgery, but has traveled with the team to Phoenix in hopes of playing Monday.
Analysis: Chandler has told reporters this season that he is hoping to play back-to-back games at some point down the road this season, so it seems as if the Nuggets will take a cautious approach with the 25-year-old. The team's cautious approach will result in limited playing time which will likely hamper his Fantasy value throughout the season. At this point in the season, only owners in deeper formats should be carrying Chandler on their roster.
News: As expected, Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler was ruled inactive for Wednesday's contest at Houston as the team plan to rest the 6-foot-8 forward on one leg of back-to-back sets. Chandler, who is recovering from offseason left hip surgery, told the team's official website that is hoping to be able to play in back-to-backs sometime toward the later part of the season.
Analysis: The Nuggets have been taking things slow with Chandler and aren't going to rush him back on the court before he is fully healed up. Last season Chandler was rushed on the court once he returned from China and only played in eight games as he was hit hard by injuries. While Denver's cautious approach will likely help the 25-year-old down the road, his minute and playing time restrictions are really going to hamper his Fantasy value for a while. At this point in the season, only owners in deeper formats should be carrying Chandler on their roster.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler scored nine points on 3 of 10 shooting in Friday's loss at Orlando. Chandler hit a 3-pointer and added six rebounds over 19 minutes. Chandler, who is playing through a hip injury, is not expected to play on Saturday as he is not going to play in back-to-back contests.
Analysis: Chandler sounds like a tough Fantasy start for the entire first month of the season if he is going to miss parts of back-to-back sets. Even at 100 percent his Fantasy ceiling would be lowered with Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari around. Chandler is more of a wait-and-see option early in the season and may be reserved in most Fantasy formats.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler was able to play through a hip injury during Wednesday's season opener against the 76ers. Chandler came off the bench and scored five points and three rebounds in a 84-75 victory. He shot 2 of 8 from the field and missed his only three-point attempt while logging in 21 minutes.
Analysis: Chandler played enough minutes to make a factor, but couldn't drill his shots enough to make an impact. He averaged 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in eight games, including six starts, but spent more time on the sideline than on the court after injuring his hip after joining his team from China. At this point, he is considered merely as a low-end Fantasy option moving forward.
News: The Denver Post reports Monday that Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler, who is coming off hip surgery, will be available for the season opener Wednesday against Philadelphia. That said, Chandler is not expected to play in both games of back-to-back sets early in the season. Denver plays five back-to-back sets in November alone so Chandler is definitely not at 100 percent.
News: Denver forward Wilson Chandler is expected to be ready by the start of training camp next season after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a labral tear in his left hip, the team announced Tuesday. Chandler, 24, averaged 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in eight games, including six starts, but spent more time on the sideline than on the court after hurting his hip.
Analysis: Chandler arrived in Denver last year as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks. He played for Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association during the NBA lockout and rejoined the Nuggets in March, signing a five-year deal worth nearly $37 million. Fantasy owners should monitor his health status during the offseason and consider him a rebound candidate in 2012 drafts.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler will miss the remainder fo the season with a lingering hip injury, reports the Denver Post. He is expected to have surgery on the hip in the next few days. He has missed eight of the last nine games, and Nuggets coach George Karl told reporters on Monday, "I don't know what the future holds," regarding Chandler.
Analysis: Chandler spent most of the first two months of the season playing in China, and he never really got off the ground when he returned. He appeared in just seven games this season, averaging 9.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He should have the entire offseason to recover from the surgery and get back in game shape, so Fantasy owners should consider him a solid mid-to-late round option on Draft Day.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was held out of Monday night's contest against the Rockets due to a hip injury. Chandler has now missed eight of the past nine games with his ailment. He wont dress tonight, coach George Karl said. I dont know what the future holds.
Analysis: The Nuggets were once again in no mood to talk about Chandler's injury, but it sounds like he may have re-aggravated it during Sunday's win over Houston. However, there is no timetable for his return and with only a handful of games left in the regular season, it may be time for Fantasy owners to cut bait. Even if Chandler is able to return, he won't be at 100 percent, making him merely a low-end option.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler was back on the floor in a limited capacity on Sunday against the Rockets, after missing the teams previous seven games with a lingering hip injury. He played just seven minutes off the bench, missing both of his shot attempts. He finished the game without accruing a single statistic, as the Nuggets won, 101-86.
Analysis: While it is a good sign that Chandler was able to get back in a game, it seems unlikely that he will be able to provide much in the way of value over the final few weeks of the season. With the Nuggets depth on the wings, he will have to be 100 percent healthy to make an impact, so the team will likely continue to use him in a reserve capacity. Fantasy owners should consider him a risky low-end option in most formats for Week 17 (April 16-26).
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was held out of Friday night's contest against the Lakers as he continues to deal with a hip injury. Chandler has now missed seven straight games with his ailment and there has been no timetable announced for his return.
Analysis: The Nuggets aren't really saying much about Chandler's status for the final two weeks of the season, leaving many Fantasy owners in the dark. However, at this point in the season most owners can't afford to sit around in the hopes he will return. Those holding on to a roster spot for Chandler may want to think about seeking healthier alternatives heading into Fantasy Week 17 (April 16-26). The 24-year-old can be considered viable low-end option in most formats when healthy -- especially at less than 100 percent.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler missed his sixth game in a row on Wednesday against the Timberwolves, as he continues to deal with a hip strain that he re-aggravated last week. He is being considered day to day with the injury, however he was not in uniform on Wednesday.
Analysis: We could give advice on what to do with Chandler if the team was giving a timeline on his status, however at this point they are just taking things day by day. With only a few weeks remaining in the season, Fantasy owners will need Chandler to return soon if he is going to be worth holding on to for the rest of the year, so Fantasy owners will need to keep an eye on his progress. If he is able to return soon, he will be a mid-range starting option.
News: The Nuggets have been tight-lipped about the results of Wilson Chandler's MRI that was taken on Friday, however on Monday they finally released the information that he has suffered a left hip strain and is day to day, after missing his fifth straight game on Monday against the Warriors. The forward is being considered day to day, with what the team is referring to as an aggravation of a pre-existing labral injury, according to the Denver Post.
Analysis: At least now we know the seriousness of the injury, and it is interesting that it is a hip injury, and not a groin injury as previously though. Fantasy owners will simply need to sit tight and wait until he can get back on the floor, while obviously keeping an eye on his status. With Danilo Gallinari returning on Monday, however, Chandler will see his minutes take a hit, so Fantasy owners may not want to rely on him as anything more than a mid-range starter moving forward.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler was once again ruled inactive for Saturday night's contest against the Warriors to due a groin injury. Chandler, who has now missed four straight games due to his injury, had an MRI taken on injury Friday, but coach George Karl would not release the results to the media. Karl told reporters the team will not make a statement about Chandler's status until the club meets with Chandler and the medical staff back in Denver.
Analysis: While nothing has been made official, it is tough not to have a pessimistic view about Chandler's injury at this point. The fact that Denver is keeping a tight lid on his status seems to indicate that maybe his injury is a bit more severe than first anticipated. Continue to keep an eye on his status heading into Week 16 (April 9-15). However, Fantasy owners may want to have a backup plan in place in case Chandler is unable to return during the upcoming scoring period.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler was ruled inactive for Friday night's contest against the Suns due to a groin injury. Chandler, who has missed three straight games with his injury, had a second MRI taken on Friday. We had a little more of a specific one today, Nuggets coach George Karl told the team's official website. Were just trying to figure out whats bringing the pain. The doctors felt there was something there in the first MRI that deserved a little more attention. I dont think its serious other than hes having a lot of groin pain and trying to figure it out and get him healthy.
Analysis: The results of Chandler's MRI were not made available as of late Friday night, so Fantasy owners will have to check back over the next day or two to see what the test revealed. Chandler has appeared in just seven games with the Nuggets this season and is averaging 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists over that stretch. Consider him a viable low-end option in most formats when healthy.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler (groin) missed Wednesday's game at New Orleans due to a groin injury. Chandler is considered day to day for the Nuggets, reports the team's official site. Chandler was forced to miss Sunday's win over the Magic with his injury as well.
Analysis: Chandler is still being slowed by his groin injury and it is keeping him out of extended action now. Fantasy owners in daily formats should keep an eye on his status going forward. Chandler is averaging 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in seven games this season, making him a low-end option in most formats when healthy.
Chandler remains listed as questionable vs. Hornets
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler (groin) was unable to practice on Tuesday, making him questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Hornets, reports the Denver Post. Chandler was forced to miss Sunday's win over the Magic with his injury.
Analysis: Chandler is still being slowed by his groin injury, so there is a chance he will not be able to play Wednesday. Fantasy owners in daily formats should keep an eye on his status leading up to tipoff. Chandler is averaging 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in seven games this season, making him a low-end option in most formats when healthy.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler missed Sunday's game against the Magic due to a strained groin, reports the team's official site. Chandler is day to day for the Nuggets.
Analysis: Chandler struggled on Friday as he scored just six points in 19 minutes and it could have had something to do with the groin injury. He's day to day and a solid Fantasy option in deeper formats, when healthy.
News: Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler continues to struggle with his shot since returning to the team, and Wednesdays matchup with the Raptors did not put a stop to those issues, as he made just 5 of 14 from the field on his way to 13 points. Chandler played 33 minutes in the game, and did manage to make his only attempt from three-point range, however his shot is still an issue. Chandler tried to make up for it by crashing the boards to the tune of eight rebounds, however the Nuggets still lost the game, 105-96.
Analysis: Chandler is playing a surprisingly high number of minutes right now, as the team needs help at the small forward position with Danilo Galinari still out. Chandler admitted to reporters that his conditioning isnt where it should be right now, which could explain why he appears to be having trouble with his scoring. Still, the Nuggets are relying heavily on him, so as long as he is starting, continue to consider him a viable low-end starter, especially in Rotisserie formats.
News: With forward Danilo Gallinari expected to miss at least four weeks due to a fractured left thumb, forward Wilson Chandler is expected to see his minutes increase. Chandler appeared in his first game for the Nuggets of the season during Monday's loss to the Mavericks and finished with 13 points, while logging 28 minutes off the bench. (Chandler) came out playing well, Denver point guard Ty Lawson said. He was knocking down shots. Hes another versatile player. Hopefully we can incorporate him into the offense quicker.
Analysis: Chandler admitted to being a bit gassed after his first game, but he may not have time to ease himself back into shape. Denver is really banged up at the moment, which could force the 24-year-old back into the starting lineup quicker than anticipated. Even if he stays on the bench, Chandler can almost count on seeing 30-35 minutes a game easy over the next few weeks, which is music to Fantasy owners ears. For those who have Gallinari or are just looking for help at the forward spot, scoop Chandler up if he is available. He likely won't be on there much longer.
News:Wilson Chandler debuted for the Denver Nuggets on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks and made a huge impact on the game. Chandler, who just re-signed with Denver on Sunday, was only supposed to see limited minutes, but injuries to Andre Miller and Danilo Gallinari changed that. Chandler ended up playing 28 minutes off the bench and shooting 6 of 16 from the field with a 3-pointer to score 13 points. He was the team's leading bench scorer. Chandler added four rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in a nice debut.
Analysis: Chandler was impressive in his first game back in the NBA on Monday night. He was already going to become a contributing member of the rotation, but the losses of Miller and Gallinari make him worthy of an immediate grab off waivers in most deeper Fantasy leagues. The longer Miller and Gallinari are out, the better for Chandler's immediate value.
News: The Nuggets report that coach George Karl said Monday he wants to get guard Wilson Chandler some minutes Monday night vs. Dallas. Chandler re-signed with the Nuggets on Sunday. "Its going to have to be on-the-job training, for the most part," Karl said. "The thing were most excited about is we think hes a premier defender in the league." Said Chandler on his debut: "I think weve got a very good team, a very good young team, so Im very excited to be back."
Analysis: Fantasy owners should keep Chandler reserved for the upcoming scoring period to see how he does before making him active in the majority of leagues. He does have plenty of potential to help the Nuggets, but let him prove himself first.
News: The Denver Post is reporting that the Nuggets have reached a deal with restricted free agent forward Wilson Chandler, who spent the first two months of the NBA season playing in China. At this point, no details of the deal are known, however it has been reported previously that the two sides had been close to agreeing to a long-term contract. The Post says he could be available to play as soon as Monday.
Analysis: A deep Nuggets wing rotation just got even deeper, as the four-year veteran should be able to help out for the last part of the season. He will obviously take some time to get back into the rotation, however Chandler is still one of the better options the team has. This contract is more about the future than this season, however he will certainly contribute now as well. Chandler averaged 12.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game after coming to Denver last season. Fantasy owners should consider him a low-end option moving forward with upside.
News: Free-agent forward Wilson Chandler is close to agreeing to a long-term deal with the Nuggets, according to a report on ESPN.com. Sources indicate that a deal could be signed as soon as Friday, and would likely be worth over $30 million over five years, with the fifth year being a team option. Chandler, who spent the first part of the season playing in China before returning state-side earlier in March, appears more likely to sign with the team after they freed up room for him with Thursdays trade of center Nene.
Analysis: Chandler, a restricted free agent, had originally been seeking a deal just for the remainder of the season, however the club is only interested in inking him to a long-term deal. The sides continue to negotiate, however it looks likely that he will be back with the team before long. Chandler should be a nice Fantasy pickup for the remainder of the season, however he joins a very crowded wing rotation in Denver, so Fantasy owners should temper expectations whenever he returns.
News: HOOPSWORLD.com is reporting that fee agent forward Wilson Chandler's agent has set a Friday deadline for his client and the Nuggets to reach a long-term deal. Chandler, who played in China while the NBA lockout was going on, will either sign with the Nuggets or sit out the remainder of the season. These negotiations have been tough because the situation is so different, Luchey told the webiste. Its really unique. This has never happened before.
Analysis: Chandler, who is an unrestricted free agent wants to sign a one-year deal with the Nuggets, but the club has shot down that idea. Now it appears there is a stalemate going on between both sides, so Fantasy owners will have to monitor the situation moving forward. Chandler would be a welcomed addition to most Fantasy squads, barring he re-signs with Denver and sees significant minutes.
News: The Denver Post reports that guard Wilson Chandler can sign only with the Nuggets this season, but that doesn't mean he will. Chandler and the team have yet to agree on a long-term contract. If he doesn't sign with Denver this season, Chandler will be a restricted free agent this summer.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should probably look elsewhere from Chandler this year since it doesn't appear like he will make a significant impact on your roster. Keep an eye on what develops, but Chandler might not play in the NBA until the 2012-13 season.
News: Free agent guard Wilson Chandler's agent told the Denver Post on Tuesday that playing in Italy in the spring is an option for his client. Chandler does not want to sign a one-year deal with any team. The Nuggets and Chandler are trying to work out a long-term deal.
Analysis: Despite rumors of possibly landing it Toronto, it appears Chandler will be back with the Nuggets, though that apparently still needs to be ironed out. He would certainly be a welcome addition to the franchise. Chandler averaged 15.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Knicks and Nuggets last season and would be a welcomed pickup to most Fantasy squad's once he is available to play.
News: Yahoo! Sports.com is reporting that the Chinese Basketball Association has reportedly denied guard Wilson Chandler his 'Letter of Clearance' to play in the NBA. According to the report, Chandler will file an appeal and hopes to have the situation resolved sometime next week.
Analysis: Chandler reach a deal with his team Zhejiang Guangsha, but the league controls the letter of release not the individual team. However, most are expecting this issue to be resolved next week, although it does bear monitoring moving forward. Despite rumors of possibly landing it Toronto, it appears Chandler will be back with the Nuggets -- assuming he gains clearance -- and would be a welcome addition to the franchise. Chandler averaged 15.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Knicks and Nuggets last season and would be a welcomed pickup to most Fantasy squad's once he is available to play.
News: SI.com reports free agent guard Wilson Chandler is considering sitting out the 2011-12 NBA season and testing free agency after the season if he doesn't receive an adequate contract. Chandler met with the Raptors on Wednesday and the Nuggets are also in the mix. Wilson's agent, Chris Luchey, said the Nuggets are looking for a long-term deal with Chandler, but aren't interested in anything else.
Analysis: The Wilson Chandler drama continues. Who knows if he will actually sit out the season or is just bluffing for negotiation purposes. Chandler has been playing in the Chinese Basketball Association, averaging 26.6 points and 11.6 rebounds in 32 games. He's a decent scorer that probably has a little more value in Rotisserie formats, so stash Chandler in deep leagues. We will keep you posted on his situation.
News: SI.com reports free agent Wilson Chandler is visiting with the Raptors, according to his agent, Chris Luchey. Chandler is still talking to the Nuggets as well about a contract, but he is exploring other options.
Analysis: The 24-year-old Chandler shined in China, averaging 26.6 points and 11.6 rebounds in 32 games overseas. It's unclear how he could hold up with the NBA's compressed scheduled after a season in China. He would probably get more touches in Toronto since the Nuggets have a deeper rotation, but don't expect the kind of numbers he put up in China in the NBA. He's a decent scorer that probably has a little more value in Rotisserie formats, so stash Chandler in deep leagues.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler, a restricted free agent, said Monday he hopes to sign a new contract with the Nuggets "in the next week or so," according to NBA.com. Chandler, who played with Denver last season, reached an agreement with his team in the Chinese Basketball Association that will allow him to leave before the playoffs. "I like being in Denver," he said. "Its a great young team. Im looking forward to being back."
Analysis: While can talk to other teams about a contract, Chandler is expected to return to the Nuggets after coming over in a trade with the Knicks last season. The 24-year-old shined in China and averaged 26.6 points and 11.6 rebounds in 32 games overseas. It's unclear how he could hold up with the NBA's compressed scheduled after a season in China. Fantasy owners should consider him a quality addition in deeper formats.
News: According to ESPN.com, Denver guard Wilson Chandler could return to the NBA as soon as next week thanks to an agreement with his Chinese club to leave before his team's playoff run is over in the Chinese Basketball Association. Chandler, who is a restricted free agent, was originally not expected to return until early March. He is expected to return to the Nuggets as a restricted free agent, according to CBSSports.com.
Analysis: The Nuggets need Chandler on the roster quickly as the club is missing forward Danilo Gallinari with an ankle fracture, while center Nene has also missed time with an injury. The wear and tear on Chandler from playing in the CBA has yet to be seen, especially with the NBA's compacted schedule because of the lockout. With his return imminent, Fantasy owners should consider him a worthwhile addition in deeper formats.
News:Wilson Chandler expects to return to the NBA after his Chinese team, the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, completes the team's playoff run. Apparently, the Lions are expecting a pretty deep playoff run. The latest Chandler could return would be the end of March. The earliest being early March.
Analysis: The Nuggets have a right to match any offer Chandler receives when he does return, and Denver has already expressed interest in re-signing the 24-year-old once he becomes available, so it always appeared as if he would return to them. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on how things play out over the next few weeks, but it appears he will be returning to the team where he averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks with last year. Those are solid numbers, so Chandler should become a prized pickup off the waiver wire when he becomes available.
News: According to Yahoo.com, restricted free agent Wilson Chandler plans on returning to the Nuggets once his Chinese League team's season ends.
News: The Raptors plan on pursuing restricted free-agent F Wilson Chandler when he returns from playing in China in a few weeks, reports HOOPSWORLD.com. Chandler is currently playing for team Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Analysis: The Nuggets have to a right to match any offer Chandler receives when he does return, and Denver has already expressed interest in re-signing the 24-year-old once he becomes available. However, there is also a chance Chandler decides to sit this season out completely when he returns and wait until July to sign with a new team. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on how things play out over the next few weeks. Chandler could become a prized pickup off the waiver wire, if he lands in the right situation.
News: Yahoo! Sports reports that several players who signed contracts to play in China during the NBA lockout will not be allowed out of their contracts until the current season is over. The four players affected by this are Denver's J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler and Phoenix's Aaron Brooks. The players have reportedly been misbehaving in hopes of being waived, but that doesn't seem like it is going to happen. As one Chinese Basketball official put it: "They can play, get paid [in China] and return to the NBA in March, or they can not get paid, and return to the NBA in March."
Analysis: Chandler and the others are learning quickly not to mess with China. Unlike other players who chose to play overseas during the lockout, these Chinese contracts are not easy to get out of and Chandler and company might miss pretty much the entire NBA season. Fantasy owners will want to pay attention to news on this as none of the listed players above would be worth drafting if they cannot play until March.
News: Nuggets restricted free agent Wilson Chandler will play in China this season and won't be able to opt out of his deal and return to the NBA if there is a 2011-12 season. Chandler's agent, Chris Luchey, told The Associated Press his client will play for Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Analysis: Earlier this month, the CBA said it will welcome free-agent NBA players, but will require them to play an entire season in China. The declaration came after Carmelo Anthony and others expressed interest in playing there if the NBA lockout drags on and results in the cancellation of all or part of next season. This news means that Chandler will have no appeal in Fantasy leagues for the 2011-12 season, but he is still a player to hang on to in long-term keeper leagues. He was averaging 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists with 1.4 blocks over 51 games with the Knicks last season before being traded to Denver. There, he averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists with 1.1 blocks over 21 games while playing nearly five minutes less per contest.
News: The Nuggets have offered contracts to restricted free agents Arron Afflalo, Wilson Chandler and Gary Forbes. The team also said Monday that it has exercised the fourth-year option on guard Ty Lawson. The Nuggets didn't release the terms. Chandler averaged 12.5 points in 21 games after the Nuggets acquired him from the New York Knicks in the trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to New York in February.
Analysis: Heading into 2011-12, where Chandler plays will determine his value. In Denver, Chandler would have the chance to remain a starter and post quality stats. Chandler should be considered a No. 3 option on Draft Day. Plan on drafting Chandler with a mid-round pick in all formats.
News: The Denver Post speculates that the Nuggets will definitely need more consistency and intensity out of guard Wilson Chandler (assuming the Nuggets sign the restricted free agent). He averaged 12.5 points per game in his time with the Nuggets, but his shooting percentage was 41.9, compared to 46.1 with New York this past season. And in the postseason, Chandler struggled, averaging just 4.8 points per game, including Games 2, 3 and 4, when he combined for 1 for 14 shooting. The paper reports if Chandler returns to the Nuggets as expected then he could be used in the sixth man role or even as the seventh man if free agent J.R. Smith returns to the Nuggets.
Analysis: We'd be surprised if Chandler was so far down on the depth chart, but it could happen if he doesn't play well to start the season. There's also a chance Chandler could play for a new team if he doesn't want to return to the Nuggets. Where he plays and his role will determine his value, but Chandler is worth drafting with a mid- to late-round pick in all leagues.
News: The New York Post reports that the Knicks would have interest in bringing back guard Wilson Chandler next season. Chandler was traded from New York to Denver in the Carmelo Anthony deal and is a restricted free agent this offseason. The report said he would love to return to the Knicks. And the Knicks would love to have him back, as coach Mike D'Antoni believes he's the perfect versatile fit for his system who does so many things, including rebound.
Analysis: Heading into 2011-12, where Chandler plays will determine his value. In Denver, Chandler would have the chance to remain a starter and post quality stats. In New York, he could still post good numbers with the Knicks, and he could also compete for a starting job at shooting guard. We like either scenario for Chandler for his Fantasy value, and he should be considered a No. 3 option on Draft Day. Plan on drafting Chandler with a mid-round pick in all formats.
News: Despite being a game-time decision for Wednesday's season finale against the Jazz because of an ankle injury, Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler had his best game offensively since becoming a member of the team in February. He scored a team-high 27 points on 10 of 20 shooting from the floor, burring a 3-pointer in the process. Chandler added six rebounds, three assists and a steal in the losing effort. He added a block for the first time in a week during his 41 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Chandler had an ankle issue that caused him to miss a pair of games, but he came back with a vengeance Wednesday night. Not only did he have his best scoring game as a Nugget, but he saw his largest amount of playing time in the process. Chandler seems to be tuned up for the playoffs, and Denver will likely lean on him for big minutes throughout. Coach George Karl told the Denver Post that he expects Chandler to be available for the postseason, so he should play normally barring a setback. Fantasy owners should view the DePaul product as a mid-range option when healthy.
News: The Denver Post reports that Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler, who missed Monday's game against Golden State with an ankle injury, could also sit out Wednesday's season finale at Utah. The Nuggets clinched the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference with the victory against the Warriors and have nothing to play for Wednesday.
Analysis: It sounds like the Nuggets will rest Chandler to make sure he is 100 percent healthy for the playoffs. Fantasy owners in daily leagues should use caution in case Chandler is out. When healthy, he is a quality Fantasy option in all scoring formats.
News: As expected, Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler did not play in Monday's game against Golden State due to an ankle injury. Chandler also missed Saturday's game against Minnesota, and the Nuggets are hopeful he can return for Wednesday's season finale at Utah.
Analysis: Fantasy owners in most formats should keep Chandler reserved since he won't play against the Warriors and could also sit against the Jazz to make sure he's 100 percent healthy for the playoffs. When healthy, Chandler is a quality Fantasy option in the majority of leagues.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler was not available for Saturday's contest against the Timberwolves because of an ankle injury. Chandler has had ankle issues since his days back in New York. Coach George Karl told the Denver Post that Chandler may play in Wednesday's season finale against the Jazz.
Analysis: Chandler's ankle injury goes back to his days back in New York, and acts up every now and again on the 23-year-old. With the Nuggets all but locked into the No. 5 seed out west the team wants to take no chances of Chandler doing more damage to his ankle and will likely hold him out for the final few games of the regular season. Fantasy owners in daily formats should continue to monitor his status moving forward. However, don't count on Chandler being available until at least Wednesday.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler got the start for the injured Arron Afflalo on Wednesday night versus Sacramento. He shot 2 for 9 from the floor -- going 1 for 3 from beyond the 3-point arc -- and hit both his foul shots, finishing with seven points. Chandler, who missed Friday's game with pain in his left ankle, grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists in his 27 minutes of court time. He added a steal and two blocks for Denver, as the Nuggets went on to beat the Kings, 104-90.
Analysis: With Afflalo expected to play on Friday, Chandler may see some of his minutes disappear. Ever since the Nuggets traded Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to New York, Denver is an extremely deep team. It's tough to gauge which player could step up on a given night. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on the distribution of minutes in Denver as the season winds down. If Chandler continues to get minutes and can stay healthy, he'll be worth using in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: The Denver Post reports that Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler, who has been battling pain in his left ankle, is probable for Wednesday night's game against Sacramento and is expected to start. He missed Friday's game against Washington.
Analysis: It appears safe to keep Chandler active in all daily leagues against the Kings. He has played well of late, averaging 13.0 points, 5.5 boards and 1.1 blocks per contest during the month of March. Consider Chandler a quality option in the majority of leagues when healthy.
News: The Nuggets official team website reports Tuesday that guard Wilson Chandler (ankle) was able to practice. He missed Friday's game against Washington but is expected to play Wednesday against Sacramento.
Analysis: Fantasy owners in daily leagues should plan on using Chandler against the Kings. He has played well of late, averaging 13.0 points, 5.5 boards and 1.1 blocks per contest during the month of March. Consider Chandler a quality option in the majority of leagues when healthy.
News: Nuggets guard Wilson Chandler (ankle) is expected to play in Wednesday's contest against the Kings, reports the Denver Post. Chandler missed Denver's last contest with an ankle injury. "It's pretty good," Chandler said.
Analysis: Chandler's ankle injury goes back to his days back in New York, although he said it feels much better now. The 23-year-old has played pretty well since joining the Nuggets and is 13.0 points, 5.5 boards and 1.1 blocks per contest during the month of March. Fantasy owners can consider Chandler solid option in most formats, when healthy.
News: According to Denver's official website, guard Wilson Chandler was ruled out for Friday's contest versus Washington. Chandler has had an ankle issue since he was on New York this season, so he got the night off. The Nuggets don't play again until March 30, giving him almost a week of rest in between games.
Analysis: Chandler has played well since joining Denver. In the month of March he's averaging 13.0 points, 5.5 boards and 1.1 blocks per contest. Fantasy owners should keep tabs on him as the next scoring period begins to see if he'll be ready to go. When he's healthy, Chandler is a solid option in the majority of formats.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler had his best game as a Nugget Monday against the hornets. He scored 21 points on 7 of 13 shooting including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc. Chandler was wide-open more times than not, and credited the point guard duo of Ty Lawson and Raymond Felton, who combined for 22 assists in the win. "I've got to give a lot of credit to our guys, especially the point guards for penetrating and kicking it out, finding the open man, just sharing the ball," said Chandler, who hit all four of his 3s in the third quarter, the last of which gave Denver a 23-point lead at 91-68. "When you've got point guards like that, that makes your shot selection easy. When you're wide open, confidence goes up." Chandler added seven rebounds and a pair of assists to go along with a block in 34 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Chandler has now scored more than 20 points twice since donning the Nuggets powder blue and gold jersey. Since coming over from New York in the Carmelo Anthony deal, he's averaged 14.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 10 games. Chandler is just under his production from his Knicks days, as expected. However, he continues to start and now has confidence with his open shot. Chandler still presents some matchup issues for other teams, so Fantasy owners should continue to roll with him in the majority of formats as a mid-range option moving forward.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler tallied seven points and eight rebounds in the Nuggets' 100-94 loss to the Clippers on Saturday night. Chandler had one of his worst shooting performances of the season and connected on just 3 of 14 from the field, including 1 of 2 from 3-point range. The fourth-year guard, who was part of the package Denver received from New York in exchange for Carmelo Anthony, has now made just three shots in each of his last two games. Chandler added an assist while playing 33 minutes as the Nuggets' three-game winning streak was halted.
Analysis: Chandler has now posted back-to-back games with single digits in points and has totaled a paltry 13 points in that stretch. Saturday's game was the first time he has not surpassed 45 percent from the field since joining the Nuggets on Feb. 24. He's still receiving plenty of playing time for new-look Denver, but his inconsistency remains a point of frustration for Fantasy owners. Still, Chandler is averaging 13.3 points in his six games with the Nuggets, making him a solid option in the majority of Fantasy formats.
News: Denver guard Wilson Chandler started at small forward on Monday night against Atlanta with Danilo Gallinari missing the game due to injury. Gallinari had been starting at small forward since coming over with Chandler from the Knicks. There has been talk about which player would start at the position and there has been some debate by coach George Karl. Chandler performed admirably on Monday as the starter. He shot 6 of 14 from the field over 33 minutes and scored 15 points to lead all Nuggets' starters. Chandler, who went 1 for 4 from 3-point range, added five rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Analysis: Chandler has now played three games for the Nuggets and has topped 15 points in all three of them. He's shot 7 for 12 (58 percent) from 3-point range since coming over from New York and is adding over 5.5 rebounds and a block per game as well. That comes with two games off the bench and one as a starter. His role seems pretty set, no matter where he begins the game, and Chandler looks like a solid Fantasy start in most formats with the Nuggets.
News: Playing at home against the best team in the East, Nuggets swingman Wilson Chandler fueled a statement win over the Celtics on Thursday night. Making his debut with the team in the aftermath of the Carmelo Anthony trade, Chandler was efficient on both ends of the floor in 25 minutes of playing time off of the bench. He scored 16 points on 5 of 9 shooting, relying on sharpshooting from long-range as he hit 3 of 4 shots from beyond the arc. The former Knick added five rebounds, a steal and a block defensively on the night.
Analysis: Chandler was the Nuggets' leading scorer for most of the night, until Kenyon Martin hit a 3-pointer near the end of the game with the win already in hand. Still, he was on-fire from deep and helped Denver limit one of the NBA's best teams to just 75 points of offense, though they were shorthanded. Chandler wasn't flawless though, as he was a part of a couple turnovers because of sub-par communication with his new teammates. The mistakes are expected early on, but his solid play is something to build on moving forward too. If he can continue to shoot the ball well as apart of a scattered cast of talent, Chandler might actually have more value in Denver than he had in New York. For now, Fantasy owners should continue to roll with him in all formats while he settles into his new gig.
News: The Denver Post reports that the Nuggets and Wilson Chandler will size each other up over the next couple of months to determine if their new marriage is meant to be following Chandler's trade from New York to Denver as part of the Carmelo Anthony deal. Chandler is a restricted free agent at the end of the season. Asked if Denver is a place hed like to sign an extension with he said yes, but also knows that the last 24 games of the season will tell the ultimate tale of his desire to continue on with the Nuggets or simply request to move on. I could stay here. I dont think its a bad situation right now, Chandler said. Its actually a great one. So well see how everything plays out. Hopefully Ill be here.
Analysis: Coming into his time with the Nuggets, Chandler in his fourth year as a pro is averaging career highs in points (16.4), rebounds (5.9), blocks (1.4) and 3-point percentage (35.1 percent). He has steadily improved every season since entering the NBA in 2007 after his sophomore season at DePaul. Keep an eye on Chandler and hopefully he continues to play well with the Nuggets. We still consider Chandler a quality Fantasy option in all leagues after this trade.
News: The Knicks have officially acquired F Carmelo Anthony from Denver in a three-team trade. The deal was announced late Monday night, but became official on Tuesday. The Knicks also got guards Chauncey Billups and Anthony Carter, and forwards Renaldo Balkman and Shelden Williams in the deal that also includes the Minnesota Timberwolves. New York dealt forwards Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari, guard Raymond Felton and center Timofey Mozgov to the Nuggets. New York also shipped centers Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph to Minnesota for forward Corey Brewer. Denver acquired center Kosta Koufos from Minnesota, plus New York's first-round draft pick in 2014, second-round picks in 2012 and 2013 and cash.
Analysis: Chandler is on his way to Denver with a bunch of his former Knicks teammates to play for George Karl. The 23-year-old was having a career season with New York, averaging 16.4 points and 5.9 rebounds. He should still be able to produce similar numbers in Denver's up-tempo offense, but Fantasy owners will have to figure out exactly how he will be used first. While no official announcement has been made, Chandler should be available to play in the Nuggets next game Thursday against the Celtics. Consider him a low-end option until his role becomes defined with the team.
News: The Knicks and Nuggets agreed Monday night on a massive, 12-player trade sending Carmelo Anthony to New York, three league sources told CBSSports.com. "It's done," one of the sources said. The deal, which is expected to pass through the league approval process Tuesday, is Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mozgov and New York's 2014 first-round pick going to Denver for Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Renaldo Balkman and Anthony Carter, sources said. The Timberwolves agreed to take Eddy Curry's expiring contract along with Anthony Randolph from the Knicks and send Corey Brewer to New York -- not Denver, as was discussed in a previous version of the trade. The Wolves get $3 million from the Knicks, which will be used to buy Curry out of the few remaining pay checks on his $11.3 million contract. The Nuggets also get Golden State's second-round picks in 2012 and '13 from New York, according to one of the sources.
The Nuggets play three times during Fantasy Week 18 (Feb. 21-27), with the first game coming Tuesday against Memphis. It doesn't seem likely that Chandler will play in that contest, so owners may want to leave him on the bench for the upcoming scoring period.
News: New York got a big boost from Wilson Chandler on Wednesday night as the Knicks took down Atlanta from Madison Square Garden. Chandler came off the bench for 35 minutes and shot 9 for 15 and 2 for 6 from deep to score 20 points. The 20 points finished second on the team behind only Amar'e Stoudemire's 23 points. Chandler added five rebounds and a block.
Analysis: Chandler shot 60 percent from the field on Wednesday and that is the biggest reason he scored 20 points as opposed to the 13.1 he'd averaged in the previous 10 games. He's good for double-digit scoring and almost five rebounds per game with a block as well. Chandler has really become a nice option in deeper Fantasy leagues.
News: Starting for the injured Amar'e Stoudemire (toe) in Saturday's win over the Nets, New York guard Wilson Chandler had a night that resembled the All-Star's stat line. He scored 21 points on 8 of 21 shooting, but was solid from long-range hitting 3 of 6 from beyond the arc including the fourth-quarter three that gave the Knicks the lead for good. Chandler pulled down eight rebounds on a night where his defense stood out too. He blocked five shots, tying a career-high, and even stole a pass in 40 minutes of action. "It was very big for us," rookie Landry Fields said. "We came into the game knowing Amar'e wasn't going to play, so we needed that extra energy. I think Wil put it on himself to be more aggressive tonight and he had a great night." Though his shooting was sub-par, Chandler didn't commit a turnover in the increased role and playing time. "He played great and I was hoping before the game when Amar'e wasn't there people like Wilson and stuff would come out and have to do it and the pressure would be off because Amare's not out there," coach Mike D'Antoni said. "So maybe it helps him to get his rhythm back."
Analysis: Chandler easily had his best game since returning from an ankle injury that caused him to miss three games a couple of weeks ago. The 21 points were his most since January 24 and the boards he pulled down Saturday were his most since January 19. Chandler picked up the slack for Stoudemire on both ends of the floor, but his defense was key for New York's win. Among the five blocks, he denied 7-footer Brook Lopez and 6-10 rookie Derrick Favors on simultaneous dunk attempts. Though Stoudemire's injury doesn't appear to be too serious, the Knicks may take precaution with the All-Star and hold him out for a few nights. If that is the case, Chandler should be utilized as a mid-range Fantasy option in all formats until his role is reduced.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler tallied 13 points and five rebounds in the Knicks' 113-96 loss to the Lakers on Friday night. Chandler connected on 5 of 10 shots from the field, including 1 of 3 from 3-point range, to post his highest point total in the last five games. It was also the third time in his last four outings he has drained at least one trey. Chandler added four assists and two steals as New York (26-26) fell to .500 for the first time since Nov. 28.
Analysis: Chandler played off the bench for the fourth consecutive game as he continues to deal with discomfort in his surgically repaired left ankle. The 6-foot-8 shooting guard, who has also been linked to persistent trade rumors involving Denver star Carmelo Anthony, is averaging 9.8 points in four games since missing three games at the end of January. He has been streaky with his shot throughout the season and topped 50 percent from the field Friday for the first time since Jan. 11 at Portland. Keep an eye on his healing process and consider him a solid start in the majority of Fantasy formats.
News: Knicks forward Wilson Chandler continues to experience discomfort in his surgically repaired left ankle, reports the New York Daily News, and according to a team source he may need another surgery on the ankle after the season. Chandler had surgery on his left ankle to remove bone spurs back in 2008 and again nine months later to remove scar tissue. He also recently missed three games with a sore left calf problem, which may be related to his ankle problems. However, Chandler said recently his ankle is fine and he is not expected to miss anytime because of it.
Analysis: While publicly Chandler claims his ankle is fine, there are rumblings that the 23-year-old is becoming worried about the long-term ramifications this might have on his career. The Knicks are also very considered about his injury, mostly because Chandler's name continues to be linked to trade rumors that would bring Carmelo Anthony to the big apple and possible suitors for the forward, may be leery of taking on a player with lingering ankle issues. Still, Chandler says he will continue to play on his sore ankle for the short-term anyway, so Fantasy owners can still expect him to be in the lineup during Fantasy Week 16 (Feb. 7-13). Chandler scored 12 points in Sunday's 117-103 win over the Sixers, and can be considered a low-end Fantasy option as long as he continues to play.
News: Knicks forward Wilson Chandler, who missed three games with a calf injury, was back in the lineup for Friday's 100-98 loss to the Sixers. Chandler struggled in his return, finishing with just three points on 1 of 6 shooting from the field. His lone bucket came from behind the arc and he also added two rebounds to his statline while logging 20 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Chandler was finally able to return to the lineup on Friday, but didn't play very well. He came off the bench instead of back in his starting role, however, that was most likely in an effort to limit his minutes. Chandler will likely need a game or two too get his legs and rhythm back before he starts putting up numbers similar to before he got hurt. The fourth-year forward has been very productive this season and can be considered a solid Fantasy start, when healthy.
News: Knicks forward Wilson Chandler, who missed three games with a calf injury, will make his return to the lineup in Friday's contest against the Sixers. Chandler is expected to come off the bench against Philadelphia with Shawne Williams getting the start at power forward. Hell be limited a little bit, Knicks coach Mike DAntoni said of Chandler. Well just see how it goes.
Analysis: Chandler will finally make his return to the lineup on Friday after missing a few games to rest his sore left. There has been no word on whether his move back to the bench is a permanent one, or just until he gets his legs back under him. In any regard, Chandler is averaging 16.8 points, 6.1 boards and 1.7 assists on the season and remains a solid start in most leagues, when healthy.
News:Newsday reports Thursday that Knicks guard Wilson Chandler said he's ready to play and will be in the lineup at Philadelphia on Friday. Chandler has missed the past three games with a sore left calf.
Analysis: It's a good sign that Chandler is ready to return, but Fantasy owners also expected him back Wednesday against Dallas. In 45 games this year, Chandler is averaging 16.8 points, 6.1 boards and 1.7 assists per outing. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor his status moving forward as he is a solid option in all leagues when healthy.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler missed his third straight game on Wednesday for the Knicks as they hosted the Mavericks. He's dealing with a sore left calf. Ronny Turiaf got the start in his absence.
Analysis: Despite coach Mike D'Antoni thinking he'd have Chandler for Wednesday's game, he said he wanted him 100 percent before inserting him back in the lineup. He added if this was a must-win game, Chandler would be playing. In 45 games this year, Chandler is averaging 16.8 points, 6.1 boards and 1.7 assists per outing. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor his status moving forward as he is a solid option when healthy.
News: According to the N.Y. Post, Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said Tuesday that he expected SG Wilson Chandler (calf) to play Wednesday against the Mavericks. Chandler has missed the past two games with this injury.
Analysis: Chandler is having a career season in his fourth pro campaign, averaging 16.8 points and 6.1 rebounds. Those folk who took the risk and started him in Fantasy Week 15 (Jan. 31-Feb. 6) appeared to have made the right call, but we'll wait and see how much he produces on Wednesday. When healthy, Chandler is a solid starting option in all Fantasy formats.
News: Knicks forward Wilson Chandler did not play in Sunday's contest against the Pistons as he continues to nurse his sore left calf. Chandler first suffered the injury during the preseason and aggravated the injury during practice earlier in the week. Coach Mike D'Antoni said before the contest that Chandler would not return to the lineup until he is back at 100 percent. He feels like its hurt and hopefully Wednesday hell be ready (against Dallas)," DAntoni said. When hes 100 percent hell be ready to play.
Analysis: Chandler has not been scoring as much as he had been earlier in the season as he has failed to reach double digits in three of his past four games. However he is still averaging a career-best 16.8 points per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the field. Fantasy owners should will have to make a tough decision on Chandler heading into Fantasy Week 15 (Jan. 31-Feb. 6) with the Knicks not playing again until Wednesday. Owners may want to think about going in other direction, if you have a viable option on the bench.

News:The New York Times reports New York guard Wilson Chandler is out for Friday's game against the Hawks because of a sore left calf. He played in Thursday's win over Miami, scoring seven points in 29 minutes of action as a starter. Chandler re-aggravated the injury that dates back to training camp in practice this week, but he expects to play Sunday against the Pistons.
Analysis: Chandler has not been scoring as much as he had been earlier in the season. January is currently his lowest scoring month and he has failed to reach double digits in the three of his last four games. Perhaps a day off with the calf issue -- and the soon turn of the calendar -- is just what the doctor ordered. Chandler has admitted to playing a bit distracted because of all the Carmelo Anthony trade talks in New York. Either way, he should stay active in weekly Fantasy lineups unless the injury is more serious than it seems.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler recorded only five points and one rebound in the Knicks' 101-98 loss at Oklahoma City on Saturday night. Chandler was back in the starting lineup after a one-game absence and struggled again while establishing a new season-low point total -- one night after setting the previous mark (six). Chandler managed just 2 of 8 from the field (25.0 percent) and missed both 3-point attempts to match his season-worst shooting percentage. He added two assists as New York lost its sixth consecutive game.
Analysis: So much for New's York desire to use a bigger lineup. Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni scrapped his lineup that included 6-foot-10 forward Ronny Turiaf starting in place of Chandler and reverted back to his regular starting five. D'Antoni said his maneuvering will likely be limited to switching between Chandler and Turiaf. "If we start to get on a hot streak, we'll kind of stay the same way. But we can mess with these two," he said. "It'll probably be one or the other. It won't be radical." Not exactly an ideal situation for Fantasy owners who have Chandler on their team. Keep a close watch on both players' performances but we think Chandler will ultimately remain in the starting lineup. Consider Chandler a must-start, for now.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler played off the bench and scored just six points in the Knicks' 101-92 loss at San Antonio on Friday night. Chandler, who was not in the starting lineup for the first time since Nov. 27, was held to just 3 of 10 from the field and missed his lone 3-point attempt to finish with his lowest point total of the season. Chandler added five rebounds and two assists for New York, which lost its five consecutive game.
Analysis: Chandler's name popped up in the news often on Friday. He was removed from the starting lineup as Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni opted for a taller lineup that included Ronny Turiaf in Chandler's place. Later in the day, reports surfaced that stated he was part of a package offered to Denver in exchange for Carmelo Anthony. He played just 31 minutes off the bench Friday and could continue to play in a reserve role, according to D'Antoni. Fantasy owners should certainly monitor the situation and consider Chandler a must-start -- for now.
News: Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said Friday that SG Wilson Chandler will come off the bench Friday night against the Spurs. Ronny Turiaf will start instead as part of a big lineup. And Wilson has scored well off the bench, coach Mike DAntoni said. I have been thinking about it. Im just trying to find everyones comfort level and hoping it bears out in wins. This is better, mainly because Wilson has showed that he is effective coming off the bench.
Analysis: Chandler's scoring is up almost two points and his rebounding up almost a full board from last season, and he should still get a good chunk of minutes Friday, even if he isn't starting. However, his scoring average of 18.7 points as a starter is 1.3 points better than his season average, so he's clearly more useful when he's on the court to start the game. Still, the youngster remains a must-start Fantasy option for the time being, starting or not.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler continues to produce solid numbers for the Knicks. In his teams most recent loss -- a 129-121 defeat to Phoenix -- Chandler shot the ball well. He went 10 for 21 from the field, going 2 for 9 from downtown, and converting 1 of his 2 foul shots. Chandler finished with 23 points, good for second best on the team, grabbed five rebounds and dished out two assists. He added a steal and a block in his 44 minutes of court time.
Analysis: Chandler has developed into a solid scoring option for the Knicks behind Amar'e Stoudemire. Over his last five games Chandler is averaging 16.4 points, 4.8 boards and 1.4 assists per contest. He is struggling to find his mark from downtown, going just 5 for 25 over that span. But if that's the worst thing he's doing, Fantasy owners can't be too upset. Owners should continue to view him as a must-start option in all formats.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler netted 19 points in the Knicks' 109-87 loss to the Lakers on Sunday night. Chandler made 8 of his 18 shots but was held scoreless beyond the 3-point arc (0 for 5) for just the sixth time this season. The fourth-year shooting guard chipped in four rebounds, three steals and three blocks as New York failed to score 100 points for the second time in its last five games.
Analysis: Chandler, who has emerged as a potent scoring option for the Knicks after averaging career highs in points (17.8) and rebounds (6.5), played 37 minutes against the Lakers. It was his second game since team president Donnie Walsh told the New York Post the Knicks are intent on resigning the 6-foot-8 guard during the offseason and he didn't disappoint. He is now averaging 22.0 points in his last three games and shot at least 44 percent from the floor in each. Consider him a must-start in all Fantasy formats.
News: According to the New York Post, Knicks president Donnie Walsh said Wednesday he will re-sign SG Wilson Chandler in the offseason. "Wilson's a restricted free agent and I'm going to sign him," Walsh said. "He's a helluva player."
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 17.9 points and 6.5 rebounds this season -- both career-best numbers -- and his shooting percentage is up a full point from 2009. He dropped a season-high 31 on the Spurs in a Tuesday victory and should continue to see increased totals across the board with Danilo Gallinari out. Continue to view Chandler as a must-start Fantasy option in all formats.
News: Knicks guard Wilson Chandler had one of his best games of the season in Tuesday's 128-115 win over the Spurs. Chandler scored a season-high 31 points in the victory on 13 of 19 shooting from the field. He went 3 of 6 from behind the arc and finished with eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in 36 minutes.
Analysis: Chandler is already having an outstanding season and now should see increased scoring opportunities with Danilo Gallinari expected to miss a few weeks. He is averaging career highs in points and rebounds and Tuesday could be a small taste of whats to come for the third-year man out of DePaul with Gallinari sidelined. Keep him active in all formats.
News: New York SF Danilo Gallinari has a sprained knee and it is not a day to day thing, reports the New York Daily News on Monday. He will miss 2-to-3 weeks with a left knee sprain. Wilson Chandler is expected to see a boost in minutes with Gallanari sidelined.
Analysis: Chandler is already having an outstanding season and now should see a boost in minutes, which should result in more production from the third-year man out of DePaul. He is averaging career-highs in points and rebounds while shooting 48.1 percent from the field. Chandler is a big part of the Knicks recent success this season and can be considered a No. 3 Fantasy forward heading into Fantasy Week 11 (Jan.3-11).
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 29 points in Thursday's 112-103 loss to Orlando. He shot 11 for 19 from the field -- going 3 for 6 from downtown -- converting 4 of his 6 foul shots. Chandler logged 45 minutes for the Knicks, grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out two assists. He added two blocks (one on Dwight Howard) and one steal, but his efforts would not be enough for New York to get the win.
Analysis: Chandler is having a good year for the Knicks. He averaging 19.8 points, 2.4 assists and 6.8 boards over his last five games. Chandler is also blocking 1.2 shots per outing over that span. Despite the Knicks losing three of those five contests, Chandler is playing at a high level. Keep him active in all Fantasy formats.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler had another good scoring night in the Knicks victory over the Thunder Wednesday. Chandler put up 21 points on 9 of 15 shooting with three 3-pointers in four attempts. He managed five rebounds, four assists and a block in the contest as New York ran away with the game.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 17 points per game on the year and 19.2 over his last five contests. He's averaging 6.3 rebounds per game on the year and 7.6 in his last five. That comes with a block and steal per game and he's got 14 3-pointers over his latest five-game span. The moral of the story is that Chandler is playing extremely well right now and should be active in just about all Fantasy leagues.
News: Knicks G Wilson Chandler did not have his finest shooting performance against the Cavaliers on Saturday night, but he was still able to put up some points. He scored 13 points on 5 of 14 shooting in the 109-102 loss. Chandler, who played 42 minutes, went 2 for 6 from beyond the arc and made 1 of 2 free throws. He also chipped in with four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot in the defeat. Chandler is averaging 18.2 points with 8.2 rebounds over his last five contests.
Analysis: Chandler has been filling up the stat sheet of late and continues to see solid playing time while starting for the Knicks. He is averaging career highs in points, rebounds and blocks this season and has proved to be a good fit in coach Mike D'Antoni's offense. While he will have off-nights from time to time, his all-around production makes him a solid starter in most formats. With Oklahoma City and Chicago on the schedule for Week 9 (Dec. 20-26), continue to roll with Fields as a No. 1 Fantasy option.
News: Knicks guard Wilson Chandler has been playing well lately and capped off his last five games with a double-double. Chandler scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Wednesday's 118-116 loss to Boston. Chandler shot 8 for 17 from the field and went 2 for 7 from downtown. Both his 3-pointers came in the first half. Chandler would added an assist, two steals and two blocks in his 43 minutes of court time.
Analysis: Chandler has scored in double figures in 11 straight games for New York. He's averaging 19.2 points, 2.2 assists and 7.4 rebounds over his last five outings. He's shooting 55 percent from the field over that span as well. Fantasy owners are happy to see him finally putting up numbers that everyone expected of him. Owners should keep him active as he's playing at a very high level right now.
News: Knicks guard Wilson Chandler is trying to hold onto his starting job in New York and if he keeps up his current production it seems like he'll be fine. Chandler scored 16 points on a 7-for-9 shooting performance -- hitting both his 3-pointers -- on Friday night against Washington. He grabbed eight rebounds and dished out one assist in 40 minutes of action. Chandler also added two blocks.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 17.2 points, 6.0 boards and 2.2 assists over his last five outings. He's connected on 15 of his 33 3-pointers, and continues to shoot a high percentage from the field. This is what Fantasy owners were hoping for when the drafted the fourth-year guard. Keep him active as he is playing extremely well for the surging Knicks.
News: New York guard Wilson Chandler has played extremely well recently and has earned a spot back in the starting lineup. Chandler started against Minnesota on Monday after scoring 21 points on Sunday in Toronto. Chandler, who played 34 minutes against the Raptors, shot 8 for 14 from the field and went 3 for 7 from 3-point range. He added three rebounds.
Analysis: Chandler has scored over 20 points in three of his last four games entering Monday against Minnesota. He even had a 27 point, 11 rebound effort with three blocks against the Nets. He's been averaging over 16 points per game all year but is definitely seeing a boost right now in Fantasy value. Chandler can be active in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Knicks swingman Wilson Chandler has picked up his pace offensively over his last four games, culminating with one of his best efforts of the season on Tuesday against the Nets. He scored 27 points with 11 rebounds and three assists in 44 minutes. He has scored 20-plus points in three of his last four games.
Analysis: Chandler is enjoying his best stretch of the season and is looking at around 14-15 shots per game again. He is producing across the board, offering blocks, good rebounding and excellent 3-point shooting. He remains a great play in any format.
News: Knicks G Wilson Chandler scored 20 points in Sunday's game in Detroit. He shot 8 of 14 from the field, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc. Chandler has scored 20-plus points in two of his last three.
Analysis: Chandler seems to be heating up again, scoring 15 points or more in three straight games. He is averaging 30-plus minutes per game and is seeing good playing time both as a starter, as on Sunday, or off the bench. He got the start on Sunday with the Knicks having to play a smaller lineup due to an injury to Turiaf, but Chandler remains a strong No. 3 forward in any Fantasy option.
News: Knicks SG Wilson Chandler did not fare well on Tuesday night despite New York defeating the Bobcats. Chandler played 30 minutes off the bench but shot just 2 for 8 from the field to score a season-low seven points. He went 0 for 4 from long range. Chandler grabbed five rebounds and had a block in the performance.
Analysis: The Knicks are a highly inconsistent basketball team and that goes for all its players as well. Chandler had scored in double figures in every other game this season but has been dismal shooting the basketball in his last three games, going 8 for 26 over that span and 1 for 8 from 3-point range. He's going to turn it around, but his inconsistencies keep him from being worth using in all Fantasy leagues. That said, owners should have him active in most formats.
News: Knicks guard Wilson Chandler is playing extremely well off the bench of late. On Tuesday in a loss at Denver, Chandler scored 23 points on 8 of 16 shooting. He went 2 for 5 from 3-point range and added five blocked shots.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 19 points per game over his last five with 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and almost two 3-pointers. He's getting near 40 minutes per game in his last four and that means coach Mike D'Antoni considers him a hot hand at the moment. Fantasy owners should role with him in all leagues for the time being.
News: Knicks G/F Wilson Chandler got a false tooth Thursday after having one of his front teeth knocked out by David Lee's elbow Wednesday, according to the New York Times. He'll eventually need a root canal and crown, though.
Analysis: Despite losing a tooth Wednesday, Chandler had arguably his most productive game of the season, finishing with 27 points, six rebounds and three blocks. He was starting at power forward so that Amar'e Stoudemire could start at center, and that arrangement could continue against faster teams. Chandler's inconsistent role leads to inconsistent production, but he's a good enough all-around contributor to start in most Fantasy leagues. He should only get better from here.
News: Knicks forward Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 27 points on Wednesday night against the Warriors as he got the start. Chandler had been coming off the bench as the sixth man, but started and logged 41 minutes. He went 9 for 20 from the field and hit 40 percent of his 3-pointers. He also converted 5 of his 7 foul shots and grabbed six boards. The Knicks would fight back, but have their rally fall short, 122-117. Chandler had one steal and three blocks as well for New York.
Analysis: It seems coach Mike D'Antoni is still experimenting with his roster and seeing which five players have the best chemistry. Chandler saw a lot of action on Wednesday, which comes after four straight games of 25 minutes or less playing time. This inconsistent court time doesn't help his Fantasy value, but if he can produce like this he'll see plenty of action for the Knicks. For now owners should keep viewing Chandler as a low-end starter, but he has a big upside. Monitor his progress through Week 3 (Nov. 8-14).
News: Knicks swingman Wilson was limited to just 11 points off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Bucks. He shot just 5 for 11 from the field in 18 minutes as his team was held to a season-low 80 points.
Analysis: Chandler has been held to 11 or fewer points now in three of his last four games and has seen his minutes decline to around 20-25 per game. Some of that had to do with the poor offensive night for New York, but the emergence of players like Danilo Gallinari and Toney Douglas in recent games also threatens to cut into his overall production. We love the Knicks' upcoming matchups for the remainder of the next two scoring periods, however, and feel there will be plenty of high-scoring games ahead to provide adequate production for the lot. View Chandler as more of a low-end starter until he can get going again, however. Inconsistency could lay ahead with all the like options the Knicks have at the swing positions.
News: Knicks G Wilson Chandler had a bounce-back game against the Wizards on Friday night. After scoring just 10 points in his previous game, the 23-year-old dropped 14 points and six rebounds in the 112-91 win. He shot 5 of 8 from the field, including 1 for 2 from downtown, and made all three of his free-throw attempts. Chandler, who played 24 minutes, also chipped in with a blocked shot in the victory.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 17.4 points with 8.2 rebounds through the first five games this season and appears to be coming into his own in his fourth year in the NBA. His scoring totals have gone up every season and that should continue in 2010-11. Playing for a contract extension, Wilson has the motivation to average 18-20 points for the Knicks. Continue to view Chandler as a No. 4 guard option in all leagues.
News: The New York Post reports that the Knicks decided not to sign G/F Wilson Chandler to a contract extension. As a result, Chandler will become a restricted free agent in July. "We will wait until the year is over," Walsh told The Post. "It has nothing to do with Wilson. We want him. It has to do with the fact that there will be a new collective bargaining agreement and we are not sure what impact it would have."
Analysis: This can be good news for Fantasy owners as Chandler will be playing with a little bit of extra incentive as he will be trying to put up numbers that will lead to more dollars when it comes time to sign a contract. That motivation may be part of what has helped Chandler get off to a very hot start. He averaged 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and an outstanding 3.0 blocks per game in the first week of the regular season, shooting the ball and average of 20 times per game.
News: Knicks guard Wilson Chandler had 15 points and 12 rebounds in 17 minutes in the first half on Saturday, which ended in a 44-44 tie. The Knicks made only one field goal after taking a 92-83 lead with 5:31 remaining in the game, as the Trail Blazers rallied to remain undefeated, winning by the score of 100-95. Chandler finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds for New York. Chandler logged 37 minutes on Saturday, shooting 8 for 22 from the field -- 3 for 9 from downtown -- and was 75 percent from the charity stripe. He chipped in three blocks and two steals.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 21 points per game this season off the bench for the Knicks, which puts him in the front of the pack for sixth man of the year. The year is still young, but Chandler have been thriving in this new role. Despite other players like Toney Douglas, Landry Fields and Danilo Gallinari vying for minutes, Fantasy owners should still view Chandler as a No. 4 guard option in all leagues.
News: Knicks G Wilson Chandler, who was passed over as the starting shooting guard going into the season, played an important role off the bench in the opener on Wednesday against the Raptors in the season opener. He led the team in scoring with 22 points, shooting 10 for 18 from the field. He added eight rebounds and two assists
Analysis: So much for Chandler's value taking a hit off the bench. Chandler actually led the team in field-goal attempts and was very effective on the offensive side of things. Landry Fields and Toney Douglas also had decent nights, and Chandler will have to split playing time with them as well as Danilo Gallinari, but there is enough potential here to make him worthy of being a No. 4 option in any league with the upside for more.
News: Knicks swingman Landry Fields has been named the team's starting shooting guard for the first game of the regular season on Wednesday in Toronto. Wilson Chandler and Toney Douglas will come off the bench behind him. "He doesn't make many mistakes, takes shots when he's open," coach Mike D'Antoni told the Bergen County Record about why he chose to go with Fields.
Analysis: Chandler is coming off a disappointing preseason and this could be just what he needs to light a fire under him heading into the regular season. We still expect him to get big minutes even off the bench and view him as a potential breakout under the right conditions. However, he is a player to be reserved until he can prove his worth in the early going.
News: Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni hinted to the New York Daily News on Friday that Toney Douglas might be his starting shooting guard opening night, which would leave Wilson Chandler to come off the bench or start at power forward. Chandler, who missed Wednesday's preseason game at Philadelphia with a sore left calf. is averaging 12.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in six preseason games.
Analysis: D'Antoni suggested earlier that Chandler could be a Shawn Marion type at power forward, so we'll have to see how this situation plays out. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Chandler is a critical part of the Knicks rotation and should be able to average about 15 points per game with a decent number of rebounds and 3-pointers. Treat him as a No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News: Knicks G/F Wilson Chandler sat out the Wednesday preseason game against the 76ers with a sore left calf. He is day to day and likely would have played if this was a regular-season game. Chandler is expected back on Friday in Montreal, reports the Bergen County Record.
Analysis: Chandler may have an opportunity to open the season as the team's starting power forward. Coach Mike D'Antoni sees him as another Shawn Marion. That could be great news for Chandler owners, considering how amazing Marion was with D'Antoni in Phoenix. Chandler's production and playing time can be streaky, making him no better than a No. 3 or 4 option in Fantasy, but D'Antoni's confidence in him gives him renewed sleeper appeal on Draft Day.
News: Knicks G/F Wilson Chandler, who has played mostly shooting guard and small forward in his career, could be the team's starter at power forward, according to the New York Daily News. Coach Mike D'Antoni sees him as another Shawn Marion.
Analysis: Successful coaches always like to compare their current players to their success stories of the past, so this particular comparison might be a little optimistic. But it's still worth noting in Fantasy considering how much of a monster Marion was under D'Antoni, averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per game with plus production in just about every other category. Chandler's production and playing time can be streaky, making him no better than a No. 3 or 4 option in Fantasy, but D'Antoni's confidence in him gives him renewed sleeper appeal on Draft Day.
News: Knicks swingman Wilson Chandler shot 7 of 9 from the field in his first preseason game of the year against Olimpia Milano in Italy. He finished second on the team in scoring with 17 points in just 17 minutes played. Chandler averaged 15.3 points in 65 games last season for New York.
Analysis: Chandler has dealt with minor calf issues in camp, but was not bothered at all in the preseason opener. He is likely to start at the shooting guard spot for New York this season, but can also play the three and should find himself playing good minutes even if he gets pushed to the bench at some point. He should be targeted as a No. 3 or 4 guard option in standard formats and is capable of providing healthy totals in boards and close to a steal and a block per game. The sports hernia that sidelined him for the final chunk of last season was repaired via surgery and is not expected to be an issue.
News: Knicks swingman Wilson Chandler was charged Wednesday with a minor drug offense after police said they found marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. Police stopped Chandler at a corner in Queens on Tuesday night around 11:15 p.m. for driving his Mercedes Benz with the headlights off. When the officers approached the car, they smelled marijuana, police said. A passenger in the front seat, Lamonte Yarbrough, admitted to the officers he had been smoking pot, police said. The officers recovered a plastic bag of marijuana from the console inside the car and five other small plastic bags from the trunk, weighing under 2 ounces in total, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said. Chandler, 23, and Yarbrough, 22, were charged with 5th degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. They were given desk appearance tickets and must appear in court July 1. They were not taken into police custody. "We have spoken to Wilson regarding last night's incident and will not be commenting at this time," the team said in a statement.
Analysis: The 6-foot-8 Chandler averaged 15.3 points and 5.4 rebounds in 35.7 minutes per game this year, missing the final month of the season with a groin strain. He's had surgery on an ankle surgery and a sports hernia since the season ended. The Knicks exercised their fourth-year option on the guard/forward in October. They had selected him in the first round of the 2007 draft. Continue to monitor what happens with Chandler regarding this arrest, as well as his recovery from the offseason surgeries. When healthy, Chandler is a quality Fantasy option.
News: The Knicks said Friday that forward Wilson Chandler had surgery to repair a sports hernia. His recovery time is expected to be 6-8 weeks. In April, Chandler underwent ankle surgery to remove scar tissue.
Analysis: Chandler played well in 2009-10, averaging 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists, and he's one of coach Mike D'Antoni's favorite players. He stands to put up similar numbers in 2010-11 and will enter Fantasy drafts as a strong mid-round target with upside. The only problem for Chandler could be whoever the Knicks bring in as a free agent (LeBron James or Joe Johnson are possibilities) with the potential for someone to create competition for Chandler as a starter. But he should be fine for the start of training camp following his two surgeries.

News: According to New York Newsday, Knicks F Wilson Chandler (groin) is expected to see a team doctor Tuesday in Portland. The Knicks announced last Tuesday that he would be out at least one more week.
Analysis: Chandler's next step is likely to be decided following the meeting with team doctors, but with the Knicks having nothing to play for we would not be surprised if he is shut down. In fact, that has been anticipated for the past couple of weeks. Leave him reserved in all leagues, but he has nice upside in long-term keeper leagues.
News: According to the Knicks' official Web site, Knicks F Wilson Chandler (groin) said Tuesday that he will be out for another seven days. He could return during the team's upcoming road trip.
Analysis: There have been reports out of Knicks camp that the team is considering shutting Chandler down for the remainder of the season. So far, that has not been made official. He won't be available to Fantasy owners for any part of Fantasy Week 22 (March 22-28) and may not be available for Fantasy Week 23 either. Keep him stashed away and reserved until further notice. He qualifies as a solid No. 3 Fantasy forward when healthy.
News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler did not play in Friday's contest against the Sixers because of a groin injury. According to the official team Web site, Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said Friday that he is hoping Chandler will be back in 7-10 days. "We'll make sure when he comes back he won't have pain," said D'Antoni.
Analysis: It appears Fantasy owners can scratch Chandler from their Fantasy Week 22 (March 22-28) lineup. With the Knicks having the miserable season they are having, it could be possible that they shut Chandler down for the rest of the year. Fantasy owners should keep track of this, and if Chandler does return, he can be a viable No. 3 Fantasy forward.

Analysis: There have been reports out of Knicks camp that the team is considering shutting Chandler down for the remainder of the season. So far, that has not been made official. Analysis: There have been reports out of Knicks camp that the team is considering shutting Chandler down for the remainder of the season. So far, that has not been made official. Chandler could return within the next couple of games or could be out for the season. His Fantasy owners will have no choice but to continue to monitor his situation.

He is day to day with a groin injury but the broadcast crew for the game reported that Chandler could miss a few games with this ailment. In fact, the New York Post reported the Knicks could shut him down completely for the year.
Analysis: Keep Chandler reserved in all daily leagues and hope he can return soon, although it doesn't sound like he might play again this year. News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler didn't seem injured on Wednesday night at San Antonio. Listed as questionable for the game with an unknown ailment, Chandler managed to play 35 minutes and scored 17 points against the Spurs. He shot 6 of 12 from the field and added two blocks.
Analysis: Chandler has scored at least 17 points in three of his last four games for the Knicks. He's getting good minutes and starting in New York and should be active in all 12-team and deeper leagues at the moment.
News: According to the team's official Web site, Knicks F Wilson Chandler warmed up for Tuesday's practice, but did not participate. No injury was announced by the team. Chandler was 2 of 8 from the field in Monday's game against Atlanta. He scored five points in 42 minutes.
Analysis: Chandler may or may not be dealing with an injury, but the fact that he did not participate in practice makes him questionable for Wednesday's game in San Antonio. However, the fact the team did not address the situation also makes it seem like it is not a big deal and he could play. Chandler remains a viable No. 3 Fantasy forward when healthy.
News: After missing the last two games because of a family death, Knicks F Wilson Chandler returned to the lineup Friday against the Raptors. Chandler scored 18 points on 8 of 15 shooting while providing a steal and two boards in 38 minutes.

News: According to New York Newsday, Knicks F Wilson Chandler will not be with the team for Monday's game in Cleveland due to a personal matter. There is no indication as to when he will be able to return.
Analysis: Chandler won't play Monday, which means that he will be available for three games in a best-case scenario in Fantasy Week 19 (March 1-7). That makes him slightly risky for the upcoming scoring period, especially since the reason for the absence has not been disclosed. When playing, Chandler has been a solid No. 3 forward in standard formats.
News: The Knicks lost at Boston on Tuesday but forward Wilson Chandler played well in the game. He scored 19 points and shot 7 for 13 from the field and 3 for 5 from long range.
Analysis: Chandler didn't do much of anything else on Tuesday and that is the problem with his Fantasy value. Despite being a starter for the Knicks, Chandler only really helps your Fantasy team in the scoring and 3-point shooting departments. He's becoming a borderline No. 3 Fantasy option at forward but he needs to keep scoring consistently.

Analysis: Over his last five games, Chandler has averaged 17.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Chandler puts up the points of a high-end No. 2 or low-end No. 1 Fantasy forward, but his lack of production in other statistical categories leaves him as a low-end No. 2. He still is worthy of a start in most Fantasy leagues.

Analysis: Chandler is enjoying his finest month of the season, averaging 17.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in January, scoring at least 20 points in two of his last three games, and five of his last twelve. His improved scoring and rebounding make him low-end No. 2 forward or a solid No. 3, depending on the size of your league.
News: According to the team's official Web site, Knicks G Nate Robinson (hamstring) and F Wilson Chandler (groin) are expected to play Tuesday against the Timberwolves. Robinson missed Sunday's game against the Dallas Mavericks after he left Friday's game with a strained right hamstring. Chandler missed Monday's practice with a groin injury.
Analysis: Robinson was coming off a couple of strong games prior to getting hurt Friday. He remains one of the most inconsistent Fantasy options in the league, but anybody relying on him in a daily lineup league could choose to activate him Tuesday night with this news. Chandler should continue to be relied upon as a No. 3 Fantasy forward in most standard leagues while healthy.

He's averaging 16 points per game over his last five and 15 on the season so you could argue he's staying consistent. He has the ability for more, clearly, but you never know who is going to score in the Knicks' fast-paced offense. Chandler and New York play a favorable schedule during Week 14 (Jan. 25-31) so feel free to use him in most leagues.

Analysis: Chandler has scored more than 20 points in two of his past three games and is averaging 17.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and two assists over his past five contests. Analysis: Chandler hadn't scored 20 points in a game since the season opener way back on Oct. 28. He consistently scores in double figures and is an above-average 3-point shooter, but he clearly isn't one of the Knicks' go-to guys. He's no more than a No. 4 forward in Fantasy.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler shot only 5 for 20 from the field Tuesday at the Lakers, but he scored 15 points. He also had seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks. After averaging 11.4 points over his first 10 games, he's averaging 14.3 over his last four.

Chandler averaged 14.4 points and 5.4 rebounds last year.
Analysis: Chandler has developed into a promising Fantasy option and should continue to blossom in his third year, especially playing for coach Mike D'Antoni. Analysis: Chandler had scored just five points in his previous two games, but also has over the last five games a 27-point game and a 15-point game to go with Wednesday's 18 points. He is getting around 30 minutes per games on most nights and provides some cheap double-digit scoring. He is owned in 80 percent of CBSSports.com leagues due to his consistent production in the first half of the season, but he is too erratic at this point to be active as anything than a No. 4 option when the Knicks face favorable matchups.
News:Wilson Chandler scored a career-high 32 points and the Knicks matched their victory total from last season with a 127-97 rout of the Raptors on Friday night. Chandler added six rebounds and three assists to his stat line.
Analysis: Chandler has put up double digits in the scoring department in three straight games, including the most recent 32-point game and a 27-point performance at the Clippers. He is looking like a solid low-end starter or a stopgap option for the time being but is putting up numbers like a solid No. 1.
News: Knicks swingman Wilson Chandler had 27 points, five rebounds and three assists in Wednesday's overtime game at the Clippers. It was his team's final game prior to the All-Star game. He had been held under 10 points in his previous four games.
Analysis: Chandler benefited from a high-scoring game that went to overtime. He played 49 minutes in the game and attempted 20 shots after combining for just 20 shots in his previous three games. He has been very erratic lately, but is back in the starting lineup and has this kind of offensive upside. Fantasy owners should view him as a low-end starter or stopgap option until he can regain his consistency. As a player who is featured in Mike D'Antoni's high-octane offense, he should be on most Fantasy rosters as at least a reserve.
News: According to The Sports Xchange, Knicks F Wilson Chandler is averaging 14.6 points and 4.6 rebounds since being put back on the bench five games ago. He doesn't appear unhappy in that role. Coach Mike D'Antoni frequently uses the second-year player down the stretch because of his ability on the defensive end.
Analysis: Chandler's defensive presence didn't do much to slow down either Lebron James or Kobe Bryant who went off against the Knicks in back to back times. Chandler is a player who can be a starter in deeper 12-man leagues, but isn't going to light things up the way he did in the beginning of the season.
News: New York SF Wilson Chandler has picked up his scoring again and dropped 16 points on the Pacers Saturday night. Chandler was 6-of-13 from the field with a three and added eight rebounds and six assists.
Analysis: Chandler has scored in double figures in three straight and is now averaging 11 points and five boards per night over his last five. That comes with four assists and makes him a nice option in 12-team and deeper leagues. The Knicks don't have good matchups in Week 15 (Feb. 2-8) however, so you may consider keeping him on your bench.
News:Wilson Chandler responded to being taken out of the starting lineup with 18 points, and the New York Knicks beat the Houston Rockets 104-98 on Monday night. Chandler's 3-pointer with more than two minutes left gave the Knicks the lead for good at 97-96. Al Harrington replaced him in the starting lineup after Chandler had averaged just 3.3 points on 25 percent shooting over his previous three games. He was 6-of-10 Monday and added seven rebounds and three assists.
Analysis: Coach Mike D'Antoni tried his best mind trick to get Chandler back on track and it seemed to work Monday. Now, if he can just keep it up. Chandler has hit a bit of a sophomore slump, but could be worth using as a No. 3 or No. 4 Fantasy forward when the times are going good.
News: The New York Post reports that coach Mike D'Antoni is pondering a lineup change that would move Al Harrington into the starting lineup in place of struggling Wilson Chandler.
Analysis: Harrington is getting more or less around 35 minutes per game, so this does not change his Fantasy appeal much. This is more of a negative thing for Chandler than it is a positive for Harrington, who should remain a solid No. 1 Fantasy option at center or a solid No. 2 forward, depending on your league's eligibility. Chandler should be reserved in the upcoming scoring period and onward until he can get back to being productive.
News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler scored eight points with three assists and a rebound in Friday's game against Memphis. He had been listed as questionable for the game due to a bruised hip.
Analysis: Chandler has been held under 10 points in each of the last three games, possibly because he is less than 100 percent. There is also the matter of Danilo Gallinari getting more playing time at his expense. The combination of both these developments makes Chandler suddenly worth reserving in Fantasy leagues until he can get going again despite his success to date. He may have to re-stake his claim to the small forward slot over the rookie.
News: The Bergen County Record reports that Knicks SF Wilson Chandler is questionable for Friday night's game against the Grizzlies because of a bruised hip. Chandler might be hitting a rookie wall in his second year in the NBA as he's struggling and shooting just 38 percent over his last seven games.
Analysis: Chandler is definitely struggling of late as he's totaled just eight points in his last two games combined. He's averaging 11 points, three boards, two assists and 1.2 steals over his last five games and that comes with the poor shooting percentage. Chandler is hurting, too, and if he can't show something before the end of the week he'll be a candidate to keep inactive in Week 14 (Jan. 26-Feb. 1).
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler scored in double figures for the fourth time in five games on Monday night against the Hornets. Chandler dropped 19 points on 9-of-17 shooting with a three and added three rebounds.
Analysis: Chandler, like many of the other Knicks, has the ability to go off an any given night in Mike D'Antoni's offense. He's averaging 18 points and five boards over his last five games and that comes with a nice number of blocks and threes as well. Chandler plays at a high level and can be used across the board in Fantasy.
News: Small forward Wilson Chandler scored a career-high 31 points and the Knicks snapped an eight-game losing streak against the sputtering Celtics with a 100-88 victory Sunday night. Chandler put the finishing touches on the upset when he took a long outlet pass from David Lee and made a layup while being fouled, hitting the free throw for a 98-86 lead with 2:11 to play. Chandler scored 15 points in the 3rd quarter alone and finished with eight boards, two threes and two steals.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 19.8 points, 6.2 boards and over a three per night in his last five games for the Knicks and is clearly playing at a high level right now. That said, New York plays three times in Week 11 (Jan. 5-11) and all three come on the road. The good news is Chandler hasn't played any worse away from MSG than he has in New York so you can go ahead and keep him active if you were planning on it.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler has had a nice three-game stretch. Chandler scored 19 points against the Bobcats on Tuesday night, giving him at least 17 points in three straight. Chandler added seven boards in the game.
Analysis: Chandler is having a nice run with 18.3 points and six boards over his last three games. Chandler remains a nice option as a No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler had 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals Tuesday at Chicago, but he shot only 2-for-13 from the field, including 1-for-7 from 3-point range. He has scored in double digits in 14 straight games but has scored less than 20 in each of his last eight.
Analysis: Chandler's scoring has dipped a bit with Al Harrington playing so well, but he contributes enough in other categories to serve as a No. 3 Fantasy forward. He only has room to grow from here.
News: New York SF Wilson Chandler nailed two threes and scored 12 points in the Knicks lambasting at the hands of the Cleveland Cavs. Chandler shot 5-of-14 from the field, however, and added three boards and two blocked shots. He did turn the ball over four times.
Analysis: Chandler has consistently been around 14 points and six boards all season for the Knicks in their up-tempo offense. He also gets a good amount of blocks for a small forward but turns the ball over too much. Considering he shoots 3-pointers as well, he's beginning to look more and more like a No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler was ejected with 1:05 left in the third quarter Wednesday at Detroit after punching a loose ball in frustration following a foul. He still had a decent night, though, scoring 15 points to go along with eight rebounds, two 3-pointers, two assists, two blocks and one steal.
Analysis: Chandler is now averaging 16.8 points and seven rebounds over his last five games and looks like an even better Fantasy option following the departure of Zach Randolph. Considering he shoots 3-pointers as well, he's beginning to look more and more like a No. 3 Fantasy forward.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler led the team with 23 points on 11-of-23 shooting Tuesday at Boston, marking the second time he's topped 20 points this season. He also had seven rebounds.
Analysis: Chandler, a second-year player, continues to get more and more playing time as he proves he belongs in coach Mike D'Antoni's offense. He has already emerged as a No. 4 Fantasy forward, and he has the upside to grow into more.
News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler had 14 points and three rebounds in Sunday's overtime game against Dallas. He has scored at least 12 points in three straight games.
Analysis: Chandler remains in the lineup at power forward, replacing David Lee. He's been successful, even scoring 27 points last Tuesday against Memphis. He continues to split time with Lee and that caps his overall potential a bit. But he can be used as a No. 4 forward option..
News:Wilson Chandler scored a career-high 27 points, missing only one of his 12 shots, and the New York Knicks made a franchise-record 19 3-pointers in a 132-103 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. Chandler had four of them. He added seven boards, three assists and three steals and also blocked a shot.
Analysis: Chandler scored seven and eight points, respectively, in his previous two contests but blew up against the Grizz. He's become a go-to scoring option for the Knicks in their new fast-paced style of play under coach Mike D'Antoni and has emerged as a viable Fantasy option in deeper formats.
News: The Bergen County Record is reporting that Wilson Chandler will start for a second straight game for the Knicks despite head coach Mike D'Antoni saying he intended to return David Lee to the starting lineup Sunday so he and Zach Randolph could deal with the size of Utah's Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer. D'Antoni said Saturday he changed his mind.
Analysis: Chandler has been energizing the Knicks the way Lee used to off the bench, but hasn't the past three games, when he pulled down just seven rebounds, including a mere one (in the fourth quarter) Friday in Washington. The Record notes that Lee's looked sluggish and not as comfortable in D'Antoni's offense as he did in Larry Brown's and Isiah Thomas' more conventional sets, in which he spent more time in and around the paint than he does now. Hence, his diminshed rebounds per game (5.8) in essentially the same minutes as the past two seasons, when he averaged 10.4 and 8.9. Chandler, meanwhile, is almost the same playing time, is pulling down six per game and outscoring Lee, 14.0-10.6.
News: New York SF Wilson Chandler came off the bench in Wednesday's victory over Charlotte to score 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting in 36 minutes. Chandler added seven rebounds and three blocked shots.
Analysis: Chandler has scored in double digits in three of his first four games this season and is getting over six rebounds per game to boot. He's still behind Quentin Richardson on the depth chart but he's outplaying him right now. With a few more games like this, he'll become worthy of starting in Fantasy in no time.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler (knee) was able to play in Wednesday's 120-point performance against the Heat. Chandler scored 17 points in new coach Mike D'Antoni's new high-powered offense and pulled down nine rebounds. He added two steals.
Analysis: With an average of 14.0 ppg this preseason before getting hurt and now this opener, he has emerged as a Fantasy sleeper. He'll likely have to split playing time with Quentin Richardson, though, but with a few more games like Wednesday's, he'll become worthy of starting in Fantasy in no time.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler sprained his left knee last Tuesday in a preseason game against the Celtics and he missed the preseason finale Friday against the Nets. He is considered questionable for the season opener Oct. 29 against Miami.

News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler sprained his left knee in the second quarter Tuesday against the Celtics and didn't return. He finished with five points and four rebounds. He was knocked out with the same injury in April last season.
Analysis: Chandler only missed one game last year, but the injury happened with only one game left in the season. Fortunately, Chandler will have a full seven days to rest up before the Knicks' season opener, and his Fantasy owners hope he won't need longer. With an average of 14.0 ppg this preseason going into Tuesday's game, he has emerged as a Fantasy sleeper. He'll likely have to split playing time with Quentin Richardson, though.
News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler had a great preseason game Monday against New Jersey. He shot 10-for-15 from the field and scored 22 points with eight rebounds and an assist. He also added a steal in 29 minutes on the floor.
Analysis: Chandler's box score line may cause him to have some extra Fantasy appeal in drafts, but it's not time to ascend him into the ranks of Fantasy greatness just yet. It was a preseason game, let's remember, and he got more minutes than he figures to get in the regular season once players like Danilo Gallinari get healthy and Jamal Crawford can regain his form. Take a flier on Chandler as a late-round pick if you want, but don't expect this from him on a regular basis. He's likely going to split playing time with Quentin Richardson.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler played 26 minutes against the Sixers Tuesday and scored 20 points. Chandler was 7-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from long range. He picked up 10 rebounds and a block, as well.

There will be a bit of a philosophy change with Donnie Walsh taking over as GM and Isiah Thomas getting replaced as head coach. Look for Chandler to enter the season with a chance to earn playing time. He should be considered a late-round draft choice with the chance to see his Fantasy value rise.
News: Rookie Wilson Chandler, whose recent strong play had been a bright spot at the end of the Knicks' dismal season, will miss the finale with a sprained left knee. Chandler was hurt Monday night after an awkward landing while going for a rebound in the third quarter of the Knicks' 99-93 loss to the Boston Celtics. An MRI on Tuesday revealed a bone bruise, and the forward from DePaul is expected to be on crutches for two weeks. Chandler, Isiah Thomas' last draft pick while running the Knicks, had averaged 18 points and 7.8 rebounds in his previous four games before being limited to six points Monday. New York closes the season Wednesday at Indiana.

Track his progress before selecting him on Draft Day 2008.
News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler is coming off the bench again, but it's not affecting the numbers. The rookie is averaging 18 points and eight rebounds in the last four games.

News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler had 10 points and 10 rebounds in Wednesday's win over Miami, giving him five straight games in double figures.
Analysis: Chandler has been shifted into the starting lineup by the team with Nate Robinson out of the lineup due to injury. Jamal Crawford has been playing point guard and Chandler has been playing some at shooting guard while also filling in his natural small forward role. While he continues to start and play this well, he's certainly worth a pick up in Fantasy play.
News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler scored 13 points in Monday's loss to the Nets, giving him four straight games in double figures.
Analysis: Chandler is averaging 12.2 ppg over his last five games and is playing well in the starting lineup. He's been getting around 30 minutes per game and is a real sleeper off the waiver wire for some cheap points. He can also provide some adequate rebound numbers.
News: Knicks forward Wilson Chandler went for 15 points and eight rebounds Monday at Indiana. He started and played 33 minutes.

News: Knicks F Wilson Chandler got a start in Friday's loss to Detroit. He managed 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
Analysis: Chandler has seen more playing time of late and has even managed to erase Quentin Richardson completely from the mix. He's not going to be much of a scorer, though, and will be good for just some low-end rebound production.
News: Knicks C Randolph Morris has played only six minutes so far this season, and isn't likely to get much of a run while Knicks coach Isiah Thomas believe the playoffs are still within reach. "Now is not the time," Thomas said when asked why Morris and rookie Wilson Chandler are not playing.
Analysis: Continue to keep Morris and Chandler on the bench in all Fantasy leagues. They have minimal value at this time.
News: Knicks SF Wilson Chandler went 4 of 8 from the field Wednesday against the 76ers on his way to eight points in 14 minutes off the bench. He also had two rebounds in his first game action in three contests.
Analysis: Chandler has played just 10 games this season and the eight points ties a season high. He will see some PT when New York is getting blown out, but is not a reliable Fantasy option at this time.
News: With SF Quentin Richardson sidelined by a sprained ankle, Knicks first-round pick Wilson Chandler, who had played in only seven games -- none since Jan. 13 -- made his first career start Friday at New York. He finished with two points and two rebounds in nine minutes.
Analysis: The 6-foot-8 Chandler played two seasons at DePaul, averaging 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds. He probably won't do anything Fantasy-worthy even as a starter, so feel free to leave him on waivers.

He won't average those types of numbers as a rookie, but could be viewed as a potential late-round sleeper.
News: The New York Knicks selected DePaul forward Wilson Chandler with the 23rd pick in the NBA Draft.
Analysis: Chandler is a fluid athlete with exceptional leaping ability. He finishes well at the basket and shows an improving perimeter stroke. He's solid rebounder and defender, but is still very raw and should only be viewed as a late-round flier in Fantasy leagues.
