Rodney Stuckey leads Pacers with 19 off bench

(2/27/2015) Rodney Stuckey came off the bench to score 12 points in the second quarter, en route to a team-high 19 points, leading the Pacers to a 93-86 win over the Pacers on Friday. 

Stuckey hit eight of his 16 shots, including five-of-seven in the second quarter. He knocked down three of five 3-pointers and added five rebounds and four assists. 

The Pacers host the Sixers, Sunday.

(2/22/2015) Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey picked up 30 points on Sunday against the Warriors. 

Stuckey shot 11-17 from the field, including 2-4 from beyond the arc. He sunk six of his seven free throws, leading the club with 30 points. Stuckey also added five assists and four rebounds during the contest.

(2/22/2015) Pacers coach Frank Vogel said guard Rodney Stuckey will try to play against the Warriors Sunday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Stuckey sustained a sprained ankle in Friday's 106-95 win over the 76ers.

This season, Stuckey is averaging 12.0 points per game.

Stuckey left Friday's game with a sprained left ankle. He's averaging 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists this season.

(2/20/2015) Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey picked up 30 points on Friday but injured his ankle late in his team's 106-95 win over the 76ers. 

Stuckey shot 10-16 from the field, including 2-4 from beyond the arc. He sunk all eight of his free throws, leading the team with 30 points. Stuckey added four assists and three steals during the contest. 

Stuckey could have gone for more, but had to leave the game early due to an ankle injury. After laying on the floor for a couple minutes, Stuckey was helped to the locker room and did not return to the contest. It's unclear whether the injury will keep him out of any games moving forward.

"It happens, man," he said after the game, per the Associated Press. "It's part of the game. Now I just have to go get treatment for it and try to get ready to play Sunday."


Pacers PG Rodney Stuckey set to play Tuesday vs. Timberwolves

(1/13/2015) Pacers point guard Rodney Stuckey will play in Tuesday's home game against the Timberwolves, the team announced.

Stuckey was unable to practice Monday and missed the team's shootaround Tuesday due to food poisoning, but coach Frank Vogel said he will be available off the bench in "short bursts" VigilantSports.com reports. He has averaged 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 31 games (25 starts).

Indiana is a 10 1/2-point favorite against Minnesota at home Tuesday.

Stuckey is averaging 10.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists through five January games.

(1/9/2015) The Pacers have announced Roy Hibbert(left ankle), Ian Mahinmi(plantar fascia), C.J. Watson(foot) Rodney Stuckey (groin) are all available for Friday's game against the Celtics. All were listed as questionable heading into the game. 

Mahinmi is still recovering from a torn plantar fascia and is "not quite in game shape," according to coach Frank Vogel. "(We) likely won't use him, but he's available."

George Hill remains out with a groin injury. Indiana is currently a 4-point favorite against Boston.

Watson (left foot), Rodney Stuckey (groin) as questionable, while George Hill (groin) and Ian Mahinmi (torn left plantar fascia) were ruled out for the game, according to VigilantSports.com.

Indiana is a 4-point home favorite on Friday.

It will be the fourth straight game Hill has missed while dealing with a left groin strain. Guard Donald Sloan’s role is expected to increase during Hill’s absence.

(12/27/2014) Pacers point guard Rodney Stuckey scored a team-high 20 points on 7 of 13 shooting in his team's 110-85 win over the Nets Saturday.

Stuckey's 20 points match his best output of December, and he matched a season high with four steals while setting a new season high with eight assists. The point guard also delivered six rebounds in 36 minutes of action in the win. He'll take on the Bulls Monday.

Stuckey is dealing with an eye issue after being hit in the face during Friday’s loss to the Pistons. In 23 games, Stuckey is averaging 12.0 points and 3.7 rebounds.

The Pacers are 2 1/2-point underdogs.

(12/27/2014) Pacers point guard Rodney Stuckey was formally listed as probable for Saturday's contest at Brooklyn, per the Indianapolis Star.

Stuckey exited Friday's game against the Pistons after absorbing a shot to the face from Andre Drummond. He was diagnosed with facial contusion along with a swollen eye following the game. Stuckey is averaging 12.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists through 23 games this season.

Indiana is currently a 2 1/2-point underdog at Brooklyn.

Stuckey took a blow to the face and was immediately helped to the locker room to be checked out. He ends the night with nine points on 4 of 7 shooting as well as five rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes.

Pacers PG Rodney Stuckey doubles up vs. Blazers

(12/13/2014) Pacers point guard Rodney Stuckey scored 14 points on 6 of 19 shooting while hauling in a career-high 14 rebounds in his team's 95-85 loss to the Blazers Saturday.

Stuckey hadn't managed more than six rebounds in a game this season before exploding for 14 Saturday. He had posted just two double-digit rebounding games in his career before Saturday, topping out at 11 rebounds. Stuckey also kicked in two assists and one steal in 39 minutes. He'll square off against the Lakers Monday.


Struggling Pacers could be on verge of lineup changes

(12/12/2014) Nothing is working these days for the Pacers, losers of six straight and owners of a 7-15 record. So Frank Vogel is considering lineup changes that could result in small forward Chris Copeland and point guard Rodney Stuckey assuming bench roles, according to the Indianapolis Star.

"Our chemistry is not very good with that group," said stalwart starter David West, who scored just two points in a Wednesday night loss to the Clippers. "We've got to work on it. Thank God for those other guys, the second unit guys keeping some of these games close, because we just haven't been able to start the games well. We get down and really put the team in a bad way."

Copeland has started the last four games and hit just 8 of 29 from the field. Stuckey has been far steadier, but is averaging a mere 2.8 assists per game.

(12/5/2014) Pacers point guard Rodney Stuckey scored a team-high 16 points on 7 of 15 shooting in his team's 88-82 loss to the Blazers Thursday.

Stuckey's point totals have been up and down in recent games; he had nine points in each of his previous two performances heading into Thursday's action but preceded those single-digit scoring efforts with 46 points over a two-game stretch. He matched season highs with six rebounds and five assists in the loss, the team's third straight. The Pacers will look to turn things around Friday against the Kings.

(11/24/2014) The Pacers got Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Miles back on Monday against the Trail Blazers.

Stuckey started, playing 32 minutes. He scored 12 points in his return. Stuckey had been battling a wrist injury. Miles played 17 minutes, scoring six points. He was dealing with a calf injury coming into the contest.
