Report: Rodney Stuckey to sign with Indiana

(7/17/2014) Fresh off losing their starting shooting guard in free agency, the Pacers have reportedly found a short-term replacement in Rodney Stuckey. According USA Today Sports, Indiana and Stuckey agreed to a one-year deal Wednesday evening.

Stuckey had a successful season playing a sixth man role for Detroit last season, averaging 13.9 points in 26.7 minutes per game last season. His glaring weakness is at the there point line, where he only converted 28.6 percent of his attempts.

(3/25/2014) Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey came off the bench and scored a team-high 19 points in a 114-94 victory over the Jazz in Utah.

Stuckey shot 8 of 16 from the floor, including 1 of 2 from 3-point land, and 2 of 2 from the free throw line. He also contributed with two rebounds and one assist while logging 27 minutes of game action. He is averaging 17.0 points, 2.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds over his last five games played.

(3/12/2014) Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey went off from the bench Tuesday, scoring 23 points in a 99-89 win over the Kings.

Stuckey's efficient scoring helped bring an end to a three-game losing streak, as he shot 8 of 16 from the field. He added one 3-pointer and went 6 for 6 at the free-throw line in addition to three rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in 32 minutes.

Stuckey remains entirely inconsistent, averaging 12.5 points per game in the month of March, while failing to reach double digits in scoring in three of six games.

(2/19/2014) The Pistons got some solid play off the bench from their guard unit Wednesday, but it wasn't enough to lift them in a 116-98 loss to the Bobcats.

Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum both put together efficient games, scoring 15 points on 6 of 10 shooting and 14 on 5 of 9 respectively. Stuckey added one 3-pointer, three rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes, while Bynum chipped in a team-high eight assists with just two turnovers in 21 minutes.

Both players have struggled with consistency this season, and have had trouble establishing set spots in the rotations at times. Stuckey is averaging 13.8 points and 2.0 assists per game, while Bynum is putting up 7.9 points and 2.9 assists per game.

Stuckey dealt with dizziness in his last game before the break and played just 17 minutes during his cold performance Tuesday. He added three rebounds and one assist in the loss. Stuckey has averaged 13.8 points and 2.4 rebounds over 45 games played.

Stuckey scored four points on 1 of 5 shooting while kicking in one rebound and one steal in 12 minutes before checking out of the game. He has averaged 14.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 44 games played.

After dealing with injury issues through December and into January, Stuckey turned in his best scoring performance since November despite not seeing an uptick in minutes from his previous outing. He also recorded a season-high six rebounds along with one steal in the loss. Stuckey has averaged 13.6 points in 31 games played.

(1/8/2014) Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey had a solid game in his return from a shoulder injury Wednesday, though he was limited to 20 minutes in a 112-91 loss to the Raptors.

Stuckey scored 14 points in those 20 minutes, shooting 4 of 13 from the field. He made up for a subpar shooting effort by getting to the free-throw line eight times, making six of them. Stuckey didn't do much else besides score, however, as he finished with one rebound, one block and two assists, along with two turnovers.

Stuckey is enjoying a solid bounce back season, as his scoring has rebounded to 14.0 points per game while coming off the bench. His shoulder injury has lingered over the last 10 days or so, but he appears to be past it.

Stuckey was in and out of the lineup through the weekend while dealing with the injury, one that he managed to aggravate in consecutive days. There remains no concrete deadline for his return to action.

Stuckey also aggravated the sore shoulder Friday, playing just 14 minutes against the Magic. He lasted six minutes Saturday before departing, finishing his night with no points on 0 of 2 shooting as well as two assists and one steal.
