Magic sign PG C.J. Watson

(7/9/2015) C.J. Watson officially became a member of the Magic on Thursday, signing his contract with the team, reportedly for three years and $15 million.

Watson played in 57 games last season with Indiana (21 starts), averaging 10.0 points and 3.6 assists per game while shooting .400 (70-175) from three-point range. Watson will be joining his fifth team in nine seasons.

The deal is reportedly for three years and $15 million.

Watson will be joining his fifth team in nine seasons. He averaged 10 points and 3.6 assists in 25 minutes per game for Indiana last season.

(4/15/2015) As they try to hold on to the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers will be without guard C.J. Watson (elbow) for tonight's critical road game against the Grizzlies, per the team. 

Watson has missed the last five games for the Pacers, and his status for the postseason remains unclear. In addition to Watson, forward Chris Copeland (abdomen/elbow) remains sidelined after his stabbing incident on April 8.

Watson is listed as questionable for the Pacers final two games, but it is doubtful he will play, and his status for the playoffs, if the Pacers were to qualify, remains unclear.

(1/23/2015) Pacers point guard C.J. Watson will not return to Friday's game against the Heat due to a sore left groin, the team announced. Watson was initially deemed questionable to return before being ruled out for the second half at halftime.

Watson played eight minutes before exiting with the injury, tallying two points on a pair of free throws and missing his only shot from the field. He'll have an off-day before the team's next game Sunday.

Mahinmi is still recovering from a torn plantar fascia and is "not quite in game shape," according to coach Frank Vogel. "(We) likely won't use him, but he's available."

(1/6/2015) The NBA announced Tuesday that Pacers guard C.J. Watson was fined $5,000 for violating the league’s anti-flopping rules for the second time this season.

His second violation occurred with 7:07 remaining in the first quarter of Indiana's 105-101 win against the Jazz on Monday. Watson threw himself on the ground after getting pushed in the back by a Jazz player during a rebound attempt.

Watson is averaging 10.9 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game through 18 appearances in 2014-15.
