Pacers will be without Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Watson Saturday

(10/18/2014) The Pacers will be without the services of guards Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Watson Saturday night against the Mavericks in preseason action, the team announced. Stuckey is dealing with a sore left foot, while Watson is nursing a sore right foot.

The Pacers will start the season Oct. 29 at home against Philadelphia.

Watson also missed the team's preseason opener due to a foot issue. The injury is not expected to keep him out once the regular season begins.

(10/6/2014)  Pacers guard C.J. Watson will miss the team's preseason opener against the Vikings Tuesday, as he deals with a sore foot.

At this point, the injury is not considered serious enough to linger into the regular season, but it has kept him out of training camp activities the last few days. Watson is expected to serve as the backup point guard for the Pacers again, after averaging 6.6 points and 1.7 assists per game a year ago.

(4/10/2014) Pacers guard C.J. Watson was back in the rotation Wednesday against the Bucks, after missing the team's last 13 games with a hamstring injury.

Watson played 17 minutes off the bench in his return to action, scoring eight points on 3 of 5 shooting. He added one rebound, one assist and two steals, while turning the ball over three times in the 104-102 win.

Watson has appeared in 61 games for the Pacers, 56 of them off the bench. He is averaging 6.3 points and 1.7 assists per game.

(4/3/2014) Pacers guard C.J. Watson rode an eliptical for approximately 10 minutes at the end of Thursday's practice. He has not made much progress from a hamstring injury and remains "likely" a week away from returning to the lineup, head coach Frank Vogel told the Indianapolis Star.

Watson has been sidelined for 15 of the last 16 games because of the injury. He is averaging 6.3 points, 1.7 assists and 1.6 rebounds over 60 games.

After missing four games in a row, Watson returned from an elbow injury Friday, but had to leave again because of a hamstring injury. He has now missed two consecutive games with the injury.

(3/14/2014) Pacers guard C.J. Watson returned from an elbow injury Friday against the 76ers, after missing four games in a row. Unfortunately, his return was short lived, as he was forced to leave the game after just eight minutes playing time, due to a hamstring injury.

Watson was unable to return following the injury, and it is not clear whether he will be able to play in the team's next game, Saturday against the Pistons.

(2/4/2014) Pacers guard C.J. Watson played his typical role off the bench Tuesday, and made his typically limited impact in an 89-85 win over the Hawks.

Watson played 22 minutes in the win, scoring eight points on 2 of 3 shooting, including 4 of 6 at the free-throw line. He added three assists and two steals, while turning the ball over once.

Watson has been steady off the bench for the Pacers, but he doesn't make much impact on the box score. He is averaging just 6.4 points and 1.7 assists in 47 appearances.

(1/26/2014) Pacers guard C.J. Watson continues to make little impact, as he was held to single digits in scoring for the fourth game in a row Saturday against the Nuggets.

Watson played 16 minutes off the bench, and made just one of his three field-goal attempts in the game. He scored four points and added a single rebound and one steal in the 109-96 loss.

Watson is averaging just 4.8 points per game over the last five and 6.8 overall  in the month of January, despite shooting better than 50.0 percent from the field in the month.

It was Watson's second highest-scoring performance of the season, and it's the most shots he's taken in a game this season without missing. He also recorded two rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes Friday. Watson has averaged 6.5 points in 35 games played.

(1/8/2014) Pacers guard C.J. Watson saw a bit of a larger role Wednesday against the Hawks, with Lance Stephenson dealing with an injury.

Watson played 24 minutes off the bench in the game, matching his highest total since Dec. 1. He scored nine points on 4 of 7 shooting with one 3-pointer, and added four rebounds and three assists, while turning the ball over twice in a 97-87.

Watson has given his typical production as the Pacers' backup point guard this season, averaging 6.1 points and 1.8 assists per game.

(11/27/2013) Pacers guard C.J. Watson scored a team-high 18 points on 6 of 9 shooting, including 6 of 7 shooting from behind the arc, as the Pacers moved to 14-1 with a 99-74 win over the Bobcats Wednesday.

Watson, who hadn't made more than two three-pointers in a game this season before Wednesday's outburst, eclipsed his season-high scoring total with the efficient performance. He also added six rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes of action.
