Andre Miller returning to Washington on team option

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6/27/2014) The Wizards will be picking up the $4.6 million option for guard Andre Miller for the 2014-15 season, CSNWashington reports Friday.

The 38-year-old arrived in Washington in a trade from the Nuggets last season and served as the team's backup point guard during a playoff run. Miller averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 assists per game in 28 appearances with the Wizards, after wearing out his welcome in a public dispute with coaches in Denver.

Andre Miller comes off bench following trade

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/22/2014) Wizards guard Andre Miller appeared in a game for the first time in nearly two months Saturday, in his first game following a trade from the Nuggets.

Miller, who fell out of favor in Denver following a confrontation with the coach, took on the backup point guard role off the bench in his 16 minutes of action. He scored five points on 1 of 3 shooting and added three rebounds and three assists in the 94-93 win.

Miller had been averaging just 5.9 points and 3.3 assists in 19.0 minutes per game prior to the trade, and will likely see a similar role backing up John Wall.

Andre Miller headed to the nation's capital

by Joe Polito | CBSSports.com
(2/20/2014) The Wizards have agreed to send guard Eric Maynor to Philadelphia and forward Jan Vesely to Denver in exchange for veteran point man Andre Miller, Yahoo Sports reports. Philadelphia will also receive two second-round picks from Washington in the deal

The 36-year-old Miller was excused from all Nuggets team activities earlier in the year after a disagreement between him and coach Brian Shaw led to a suspension in early January. The Wizards have expressed interest in Miller since that point, having been disappointed with the play of backup point guard Eric Maynor.

Report: Wolves interested in Andre Miller, provided they trade J.J. Barea

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/17/2014) The Timberwolves are among the teams interested in Denver guard Andre Miller, according to ESPN on Monday. However, Minnesota would have to trade away guard J.J. Barea in order to make room for Miller, according to the report. Memphis could be a possible destination for the 29-year-old from Puerto Rico.

Barea is averaging 8.7 points, 3.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds over 53 games played this season.

Everyone but Ty Lawson available in Nuggets trade talks

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2/17/2014) The Nuggets are open to discussing potential trades for everyone on their roster expect guard Ty Lawson, CBSSports.com NBA insider Ken Berger reports.

Guard Andre Miller is the player they would most like to unload, as he hasn't played for the team since Dec. 30, but they are looking to get an asset back for him rather than just dump salary. Miller is making $5 million this season and is under contract for $4.625 million next season.

Report: Knicks eyeing all point guard options

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/17/2014) The Knicks, who are investigating all point guard options and haven't been able to find a deal for Kyle Lowry, have shifted their focus on Hawks point guard Jeff Teague, according to a report from ESPN on Monday.

Eager to shed Teague's long-term contract, the Hawks should be interested in acquiring Iman Shumpert in return, according to the report. Andre Miller, who has been away from the Nuggets since Jan. 30, also appears to be another option for New York.

Teague has appeared in 49 games this season, averaging 15.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 41.2 percent from the floor. Shumpert is averaging 7.0 points and 4.6 rebounds on 38.2 percent shooting through 50 games this season. Miller was averaging 5.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds through 30 games.

Andre Miller not interest in mile-high reunion

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/15/2014) The Nuggets are reportedly interested in bringing point guard Andre Miller back from exile, but the feeling might not be mutual. According to Yahoo.com, Miller is not interested in returning to the team, despite working out at the facilities recently.

"The vibe is delusional," a source told Yahoo. "It's a burned bridge. No reconciliation. He's waiting by the door with his bag already packed. The relationship is irreparable. Under no circumstances does he want to come back to Denver."

The bad felines might not just be on Miller's side, as coach Brian Shaw also has no interest in bringing the disgruntled veteran back. Miller was suspended two games in January after a confrontation with Shaw.

The Nuggets have been looking to trade Miller since his suspension. Miller was averaging 5.9 points and 3.3 assists in 30 games before his suspension.

Report: Nuggets work out Andre Miller

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/15/2014) CBSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger reports that Nuggets officials have recently worked out exiled point guard Andre Miller, and are considering bringing him back.

The Nuggets have been riddled with injuries, and are in desperate need of frontcourt help. Miller hasn't been on the court since Jan. 30, missing his team's last 21 games. Despite being away from the team, he has remained in shape, losing 12 pounds.

Although the market has been "difficult," according to the report, there's still a chance the 37-year-old is traded by the Feb. 20 deadline. It would be the ideal scenario for the Nuggets to dump Miller's $4.6 million salary for next season on a team that can absorb it. He was averaging 5.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds through 30 games.

Nuggets waiting on Andre Miller to re-establish communication

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2/3/2014) The Nuggets haven't talked to guard Andre Miller, who has been excused from the team after a shouting match with head coach Brian Shaw that happened on the bench on Jan. 1, and he must re-establish communication with the team to have any chance of coming back, NBA.com reports.

"If there’s any reaching out that needs to be done, the reaching out has to come from him," Shaw said. "At this point, we’re still trying to evaluate the situation. The guys that are here are going to be our concern. It’s something I’ve completely taken myself out of. Whatever happens will be dealt with between him, his agent and the front office."

Miller didn't play at all in January and remains a candidate to be traded.

Nuggets to bring back Andre Miller to lineup?

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/30/2014) With Nate Robinson (knee) and Ty Lawson (shoulder) sidelined with injuries, Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw told the Denver Post on Thursday that the team will consider all roster options, including bringing back disgruntled guard Andre Miller.

Miller hasn't played since Dec. 30, missing the team's last 14 games. He was averaging 5.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds through 30 games.

Report: Andre Miller's days with Nuggets over

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/10/2014) Unhappy with his role with the team, it appears as if Andre Miller's days with the Nuggets are numbered, according to TNT's sideline reporter Craig Sager. According to Sager during Thursday's win over the Thunder, Miller will be allowed to train in the team's facility but will no longer play for the Nuggets.

"I'm willing to coach anyone that's willing to do what's best for the team," head coach Brian Shaw said after the game, per ESPN Denver. "Right now he has to decide what he wants to do. My concern is what's best for the Denver."

The Kings have been one of the teams pursuing Miller, who hasn't played since Dec. 30, missing the team's last five games. The Kings have offered guard Marcus Thornton and a second-round pick, according to CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger. A secondary offer includes guard Jimmer Fredette or forward Jason Thompson.

Framework of possible Andre Miller deal emerging

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(1/8/2014) The Kings have been one of the teams pursuing disgruntled Nuggets guard Andre Miller, and CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger has some details on what they are offering in a possible deal.

According to the report, the Kings have put a few deals on the table, primarily based around guard Marcus Thornton and a second-round pick. A secondary deal involves guard Jimmer Fredette, while forward Jason Thompson is also a possibility.

Nuggets actively shopping Andre Miller

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/6/2014) According to the Denver Post, the Nuggets are actively trying to trade guard Andre Miller, who was recently suspended for conduct detrimental to the team. The Kings, among other teams, have been proactive in talks with Denver, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Miller, who was excused from the team for four days, has spent two stints with the club, totaling seven seasons in Denver. He has averaged 5.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds through 30 games.

Nuggets rescind Andre Miller's suspension, still holding him out

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(1/3/2014) The Nuggets have rescinded guard Andre Miller's two-game suspension, the team announced Friday. Still, Miller will not be with the team for Friday's game against the Grizzlies or Sunday's against the Lakers, as he has been excused from all team activities until Monday for personal reasons.

Miller's suspension reportedly came about as a result of a confrontation with coach Brian Shaw during Wednesday's game. Yahoo.com reports that the move to rescind the suspension is just a gesture to allow him to collect two game checks while still sitting out.

Nuggets announce Andre Miller suspension

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(1/2/2014) The Nuggets have suspended guard Andre Miller for at least the next two games due to conduct detrimental to the team. The suspension was announced Thursday, one night after Miller had a confrontation with coach Brian Shaw while earning a DNP coach's decision, as noted by the Denver Post.

"There's a time and place for everything," Shaw told reporters after Wednesday's loss to the 76ers. "In the middle of the arena in front of everyone. I just tried to calm it down."

Miller has seen his role decrease in recent games, and was averaging just 12.0 minutes per game in three appearances prior to Wednesday's. He will miss Friday's game against the Grizzlies, followed by Sunday's against the Lakers.

Miller is averaging just 5.9 points and 3.3 assists per game this season, the lowest numbers of his career.

Andre Miller held to single-digit scoring vs. Hawks

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11/8/2013) Nuggets guard Andre Miller failed to score in double figures for the second consecutive game during Thursday's win over the Hawks.

Miller went 3 of 5 shooting from the field and 1 of 1 from downtown. His lone 3-pointer came late in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with seven points and seven assists in a 109-107 victory. He also chipped in with one rebound and one block while logging 21 minutes of game action.

Miller has not scored more than 12 points in a game this season. He is averaging 11.8 points and 2.8 assists through four games played.

Miller to see a boost?

by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com
(4/1/2013) With Ty Lawson expected to miss Wednesday's contest against the Jazz as well as Thursday's tilt versus Dallas, guard Andre Miller could be in line to see a boost during Fantasy Week 23 (April 1-7). Miller, who is averaging 9.5 points, 5.9 assists and 3.0 rebounds on the year, is expected to start at point guard during the Nuggets next two contests, reports the Denver Post.
