News: With Ty Lawson expected to miss Wednesday's contest against the Jazz as well as Thursday's tilt versus Dallas, guard Andre Miller could be in line to see a boost during Fantasy Week 23 (April 1-7). Miller, who is averaging 9.5 points, 5.9 assists and 3.0 rebounds on the year, is expected to start at point guard during the Nuggets next two contests, reports the Denver Post.
Analysis: While Miller has posted the lowest scoring output of his career this season in Denver, keep in mind he spends most of his time coming off the bench. The veteran has been much more productive as a starter as he is averaging 12.7 points, 7.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds on 50.8 percents shooting from the field over his six starts. While Denver is only slated to play three times during the upcoming scoring period, owners looking for help at the guard position should consider rolling with Miller, considering he will start at least two of those games.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller saved one of his best games of the season for his birthday Tuesday against the Thunder, as he nearly recorded a triple-double on the same day he turned 37. Miller scored a season-high 20 points on 6 of 11 shooting, while adding nine assists and seven rebounds in just 23 minutes of action. He turned the ball over just three times, and went 8 of 9 at the free-throw line, to lead the Thunder to a 114-104 win.
Analysis: Miller is averaging a career-low 9.1 points per game, but he is still getting the job done as a backup point guard. He is shooting 49.4 percent from the field and adding 5.9 assists per game in just 25.5 minutes per game. Miller clearly still has something left in the tank, but his role limits him to just deeper Fantasy formats at this time.
News: After scoring just four points his last time out, Nuggets guard Andre Miller was able to get back on track Tuesday against the Kings. He finished with 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting in the 120-113 win. Miller also posted seven assists and a rebound while playing 27 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Miller had scored in double figures just once in his previous five games and averaged eight points with 7.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals during that stretch. Even when he's not scoring, the 36-year-old contributes in other ways and is a big part of Denver's success this season. Since he is an inconsistent scorer, however, leave Miller for deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller scored in double figures for the fifth time in the last six games on Friday night against the Wizards. He finished with 19 points and dished out seven assists in the 119-113 loss. He was an efficient 7 of 11 from the floor, making his lone attempt from downtown, and made all four of his free throws. Miller also posted four rebounds and three steals while playing 21 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Miller entered Friday shooting nearly 48 percent in his previous five contests and has picked up his scoring for the Nuggets. He has also done a decent job with assists and rebounds while he continues to backup Ty Lawson in Denver. The 36-year-old would be more valuable in Fantasy with a larger role but given his current playing time, leave Miller for deeper formats.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller has never been considered a malcontent during his NBA career so his recent plea was hardly met with criticism. But the request is unlikely to be granted, at least with the Nuggets. "I want more minutes," Miller told reporters Wednesday. "If we were losing I would really be complaining. But its going as it goes. I don't know how much longer they want me here. I definitely would like to contribute more. Im not just going to sit back and settle in and be a backup and let my career just fade away. Im competitive in that way."
Analysis: Miller continues to serve as the backup to Ty Lawson, who is considered the team's point guard of the present and future. The latter's recent hot stretch has forced Miller to the bench more and he has been held to fewer than 10 points in six of his past seven games. Miller has also not surpassed 25 minutes during that seven-game stretch, a mark he routinely eclipsed earlier this season. On Friday, Nuggets executive Masai Ujiri told The Denver Post, Miller "is not going anywhere." That hurts his chances for becoming a consistent Fantasy option as he remains a low-end option in deeper formats for now.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller has seen his role on the team shrink recently, with Ty Lawsons re-emergence in recent weeks. Miller put up a quiet line Friday against the Hornets, scoring just seven points on 3 of 7 shooting, with six assists and one turnover. He added one block and two steals in 23 minutes, in a 113-98 loss. He is averaging just 6.0 points and 5.0 assists per game over the last five.
Analysis: Miller was starting to play a bigger role with Lawsons struggles earlier in the season, but he is doing less recently. The 36-year-old is averaging 8.1 points and 5.1 assists per game over the last 10, despite putting up 9.7 points and 6.2 assists overall in the month of January. At this point, Miller has returned to low-end Fantasy status.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller posted his third underwhelming assist total in a row Wednesday, as he dished out just four in a 105-95 win over the Rockets. Miller added just two points to his total in 23 minutes, while shooting 1 of 5 from the field. He turned the ball over twice and added two rebounds.
Analysis: Millers primary contribution is suppose to be his playmaking, but his assists have actually fallen off this season, from 6.7 a year ago to 5.7. His scoring has fallen off less dramatically, from 9.7 to 9.3, despite playing almost two fewer minute per game. Millers overall play has been solid recently, as he is averaging 11.1 points and 6.7 assists per game in the month of January, so continue to consider him a solid, low-end starting Fantasy option.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller was held below double digits in scoring for the second time in three games Tuesday, in a 115-111 overtime win over the Trail Blazers. Miller scored just four points on 2 of 6 shooting, while missing both of his three-point attempts. Miller added just five assists, while turning the ball over twice in 30 minutes.
Analysis: Miller was picking up his player at the beginning of the month of January, but is starting to fall off again. Miller is averaging just 8.0 points and 6.0 assists per game over the last three, as Ty Lawson has gotten healthier. Miller remains a solid playmaker off the bench, but his role is limited often. Consider him more of a low-end Fantasy option in all formats.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller continued to make up for a slow start to the season Wednesday against the Magic. Miller scored 18 points on 8 of 12 shooting, while chipping in four rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes. He turned the ball over just once, in a 108-105 win. Miller has now scored in double figures in five games in a row.
Analysis: Miller averaged 8.9 points and 5.8 assists in the month of December, but he has been much better so far in the new year. Miller has put up 12.8 points and 8.4 assists per game in five games in 2013, and is seeing a bigger role on the team. The Nuggets are starting to hit their stride, and Miller can be considered a viable starting Fantasy option at this time.
News: Nuggets Andre Miller turned in another decent performance as he picked up his second consecutive double-double during Thursday's contest against the Timberwolves. Miller, who earned the start, scored 11 points and dished out 10 assists in a 101-97 defeat. He went 5 of 12 shooting form the field, missing all two of his 3-point attempts. He also added four rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal while logging 36 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Miller became the eighth player in league history to reach at least 15,000 points and 7,500 assists. After being held scoreless on Dec. 22, Miller has scored in double figures in four out of the last six games, averaging 9.8 points and 7.5 assists per game. He has doubled up in his last two games, and is enjoying his best stretch of games this season, but now that Ty Lawson is getting back into game shape, we expect him to take over as the starter. If the Nuggets chose to keep Miller in he starting lineup, then his value will increase, so we'll continue to keep an eye on that moving forward. Miller should be viewed as a solid option in deeper formats for now.
News: Denver point guard Andre Miller looked smooth in his role as starting point guard Tuesday against Los Angeles. Miller took over with Ty Lawson injured and helped the Nuggets top the red-hot Clippers. Miller played 41 minutes and scored 12 points with 12 assists. He shot 6 of 9 from the field and grabbed three rebounds.
Analysis: Miller saw a big increase in minutes Tuesday and that could continue with Lawson scheduled for an MRI on his Achilles. He only scored a few points over his average, but the assists went way up and that should continue with minutes. Miller could see a nice boost in value over the next few games.
News: After being held out of the scoring column in the previous contest, Nuggets guard Andre Miller got back on track Tuesday night against the Clippers. He scored 12 points and dished out six assists in the 112-100 loss. He went 4 for 9 from the field and made 4 of 5 free throws while playing 23 minutes off the bench. Miller also posted two rebounds and a steal in the defeat.
Analysis: Miller is averaging just 7.2 points in the last five games but has made it for it with 6.2 assists and four rebounds over that span. His scoring has been steadily declining since 2007-08 but his ability to fill up the stat sheet keeps him relevant in Fantasy. Still, leave Miller for deeper formats at this point.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller was finally able to knock down some shots in the Nuggets' win over the Pacers Friday night. Miller knocked down six of his 11 field-goal attempts in the 92-89 victory to finish with 15 points. He also added eight assists and four rebounds to his stat line to go along with a pair of steals, while logging 25 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Miller had been in a bit of a slump entering Friday's contest as he had only scored in double figures once over his previous seven games. The 36-year-old has shot a decent percent over that stretch but has not been as aggressive on the offensive side of the floor as he is attempting a career-low 3.1 field-goal attempts. While Miller does have the ability to fill up a stat sheet, he should be considered more of reserve option until he picks up the pace a bit.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller posted eight points and an assist during Denver's 105-103 loss at Utah on Monday night. Miller also lost the ball four times as he finished with more turnovers than assists for the third time in his past four games, and fourth occasion overall this season. He drained just 2 of his 7 attempts from the field (28.6 percent) but boosted his scoring by sinking four free-throws for the second outing in a row.
Analysis: Despite his dubious standing as one of the league's elder statesmen, Miller continues to receive quality playing time off the bench and is averaging 25.3 minutes per game. The 36-year-old has experienced a minor drop in production through the first month, however, and is averaging 8.7 points and 5.2 assists per game -- both the lowest totals of his career. He should be benched in most Fantasy formats until he heats back up.
News: Denver point guard Andre Miller did not shoot well in Monday's loss at Phoenix. Miller went just 2 of 7 from the field over 26 minutes to score eight points in the loss. He dished out six assists and grabbed two rebounds. Miller went 1 for 2 from 3-point range in the game, the first three he's made in his last five games.
Analysis: Miller is averaging just under 7.5 points per game over his last five contests with 6.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds. He's not shooting well and can struggle at times. When his shot is on Miller can be active in deeper Fantasy formats. Right now he might be best left inactive in all but the deepest of formats.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller came off the bench for a solid performance in Friday's loss at Orlando. Miller scored 11 points to lead all bench scorers over 21 minutes. He hit his only 3-point attempt and finished 5 of 8 from the field. Miller added four assists and three rebounds in the losing effort as he played behind starter Ty Lawson.
Analysis: Miller played better Friday than he did in Wednesday's opener over 11 fewer minutes on the floor. It seems like he'll continue to be a solid low-end source of points and assists and should continue to see looks in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Despite the Nuggets possessing one of the most dynamic young point guards in Ty Lawson, coach George Karl is still enamored by veteran guard Andre Miller. Now entering his 14th season, the ageless Miller is being viewed as one of the team's top players off the bench after averaging 6.7 assists per game last season -- the only player in the league to average more than 6.0 assists despite playing less than 30 minutes. "I want him to be a veteran locker room warrior-type player," Karl told the Denver Post. "He's going to get 25 minutes a night, some how, some way."
Analysis: Miller seems to be embracing the reserve role as he also looks to improve his scoring after finishing with a career-low 9.7 points per game last year, his first season in single digits. Part of the reason was Miller attempting roughly eights shots per game, down from his career mark of 11.3. "It's a similar role as last year, but I'll probably have to be a little bit more aggressive, knowing our leading scorer off the bench is gone with Al (Harrington)," he said. Fantasy owners should view Miller as a fine reserve option worthy of starting in most deeper formats.
News: Yahoo.com reported Sunday that free agent guard Andre Miller has agreed to a three-year deal that will allow him to return to Denver, presumably through the end of the 36-year-olds career. Financial details of the deal have not been reported, however Yahoo says he was looking for an average value of $3 million.
Analysis: Miller is coming off a season in which he averaged 9.7 points and 6.7 assists per game game while backing up Ty Lawson. He seemed upset about not being the starter at points during the season, however the quick deal makes it seem as if that was overblown. The Nuggets were the league's top offense last season, so a return for Miller can only be a good thing for his Fantasy value. His declining skills make any sort of improvement moving forward unlikely, however Miller still has the talent to be a No. 3 Fantasy guard, worth targeting in the middle rounds on Draft Day.
News: Nuggers guard Andre Miller is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he has to make the decision as to whether he is willing to return to the Nuggets, where he spent last season as a backup to Ty Lawson. Miller did not take to that role well at first, however he seems to have accepted that, at 36 years old, he might have to remain a back up. After the Nuggets lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Lakers, Miller told the Denver Post, "At this point in my career, if I'm going to be a backup, I'm going to be a backup on a championship-caliber team." FoxSportsFlorida.com is reporting that the Heat intend to make a run at Miller in the offseason.
Analysis: Miller averaged 9.7 points per game last season to go with 6.7 assists, as he played the fewest minutes per game since his rookie season. Miller is still quite a useful player at this point in his career, however he is probably going to see around 25 minutes per game where ever he goes next season, and he might have trouble finding a better offense to land in than the league-leading Nuggets, who played at the second-fastest pace in the NBA. It will be interesting to see where Miller winds up this offseason, as he should continue to be a low-end No. 3 Fantasy guard. Target him in the middle rounds on Draft Day.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller told Denver Post on Saturday that he continues to be bothered by his troublesome right shoulder. Miller has been dealing with his shoulder injury for most of the season and continues to wear a protective shoulder pad. "Sometimes it looks like he's going to faint out there, the pain is so sharp," Nuggets coach George Karl said after the game. "He looks like a fighter who has kind of been stunned. He never asks to come out, always says he can play. I'm sure he'll be pretty sore tomorrow."
Analysis: Miller continues to play through his shoulder injury and has been seeing around 26 minutes off the bench for Denver. However, he has only scored in double figures twice over his last five contests and is averaging 10.4 points and 5.8 assists over that stretch. The 36-year-old said he has no plans to miss anytime moving forward, so continue to view Miller as a viable low-end option, as long as he is able to stay on the court.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller missed both his shots on Wednesday night against Detroit, but dished out a team-high seven assists in his 20 minutes of action. Miller talked his way into the game after originally being ruled out because of a separated right shoulder. Miller, who has missed just three games in his career, added six rebounds in Denver's 116-115 win over Detroit. Until I see that guy definitely not on the court, hes in, Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said prior to the game. Hes missed three games because of injury in his whole career? You talk about the ultimate iron man. Ill believe it when I see it.
Analysis: Miller is as tough as they come and as consistent. While he may not dominate one specific category, Miller contributes steady numbers across the board. Fantasy owners may want to keep tabs on this shoulder issue moving forward, but Miller continues to show us how durable he is. Continue to view him as a low-end starting guard in most Fantasy formats.
News: The Denver Post reports that Nuggets guard Andre Miller, who will be out for Wednesday's game against Detroit with a right shoulder injury, will only miss one game. I can do everything, said Miller, talking about what his limitations may or may not be on the court. I dont know what (doctors) need to see. I can play, but its a precaution thing. So I guess Ill leave it at that. Miller has missed just three games in his career, so this will be the fourth. But, he said, hell be back on the court on Friday when the Nuggets start a seven-game road trip at Utah. Im sitting out one game, Miller said. And thats it.
Analysis: Well, there you go Fantasy owners. Keep Miller reserved for Wednesday's game, but it appears like he will return Friday. When healthy and active, Miller is a low-end Fantasy option in the majority of leagues.
News: The Nuggets report that guard Andre Miller has a separated right shoulder and will not play Wednesday vs. Detroit. Miller hurt his shoulder during Monday's game against Dallas. It will be just the fourth game Miller has missed due to injury in 13 NBA seasons and first since 2002-03 season.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Miller, and hopefully this injury doesn't linger. He is a low-end Fantasy option in the majority of leagues when healthy, and we hope he can return soon at 100 percent prior to the Fantasy playoffs.
News: The Denver Post reports that Nuggets guard Andre Miller, who left Monday's game against Dallas with a shoulder injury, could return Wednesday against Detroit. Miller suffered a bruised right shoulder and played just five minutes against the Mavericks. He was 1 of 2 from the field before leaving for three points. He had two rebounds and two assists. "My gut says Andre will play," coach George Karl said.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should continue to monitor what happens with Miller, and hopefully he can return against the Pistons. When healthy and active, Miller is a low-end Fantasy option in the majority of leagues.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller had to leave Monday's game against the Mavs with a right shoulder contusion. Miller played just five minutes and did not return to the game. He should be considered day to day going forward. Miller was 1 of 2 from the field before leaving for three points. He had two rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Miller's injury doesn't sound too bad but he could miss a game or two so Fantasy owners should be watchful of that. Miller has only scored in double figures twice in his last five games, however, and has been seeing fewer minutes. Wilson Chandler saw a lot of run on Monday and that could continue, cutting into Miller's time. He has only low-end Fantasy value outside deeper formats right now.
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller continued his improved play during Sunday night's contest against the Grizzlies. Miller finished with 14 points in the 94-91 defeat, on 5 of 12 shooting from the field. He made all four of his free-throw attempts and also added seven assists, five rebounds and three steals to his stat line, while logging 30 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Miller is starting to shoot the ball a bit better of late, which has helped him slowly but surely work his way out of his shooting slump. Still, the veteran continues to be one of the more frustrating options in Fantasy this season as his production has been a bit inconsistent. Consider the 35-year-old merely a low-end option in most formats heading into Week 12 (March 12-18).
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller's shooting woes continued during Friday night's contest against the Rockets. Miller made just five of his 15 shot attempts in the 117-105 victory, but still managed to finished with 16 points. He went 6 for 6 at the free-throw line and also added four assists and one rebound to his stat line, while logging 31 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Miller has not been shooting the ball well of late and that trend continued on Friday night. He made just 31 percent of his shots over the last five games and is averaging 10.6 points and 7.2 assists over that stretch. While the 35-year-old's current bench role continues to limit his value, Miller can still be considered a viable low-end Fantasy guard in the majority of formats heading into Week 11 (March 5-11).
News: Nuggets guard Andre Miller was ejected for the first time this season during Monday night's contest against the Timberwolves. Miller was tossed in the fourth quarter of the 103-101 overtime win after receiving his second technical foul for arguing a foul call. He finished with five points, 12 assists, six rebounds, one block and one steal prior to leaving the contest.
Analysis: Miller continues to play well for the Nuggets in a reserve role, but could be thrust back into the starting lineup with Ty Lawson going down with an ankle injury. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Lawson's status moving forward. While Miller's scoring continues to be a bit inconsistent, his ability to fill up a stat sheet continues give him the value of a No. 2 Fantasy guard. Continue to view him as such moving forward.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller posted 21 points and 10 assists during the Nuggets' 124-118 overtime loss at Oklahoma City on Sunday night. It was his first double-double during the month of February and seventh overall of the season. Miller made 9 of 19 shot attempts, including 1 of 5 from downtown, as he reached 20 points for just the third time this year. He also committed four turnovers in 36 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Miller continues to play off the bench for Denver, but has performed better than starting point guard Ty Lawson over the past two games. He has totaled 34 points and 19 assists during that two-game stretch while logging at least 30 minutes in each contest. Still, he will not supplant Lawson in the starting lineup and as long as he remains an inconsistent scoring option. Consider Miller a No. 2 Fantasy guard in most formats for now.
News: Nuggets G Andre Miller had another poor night shooting the ball on Wednesday against the Mavericks. He finished with zero points on 0 for 5 shooting in the 102-84 loss. He missed his lone attempt from downtown and did not get to the foul line while playing 21 minutes off the bench. Miller posted two rebounds and two assists in the defeat.
Analysis: Miller has not been doing much scoring for Denver of late and his struggles from the field have something to do with that. He is averaging just 5.4 points with 4.8 assists and four rebounds in his last five contests, and is shooting 34 percent over that span. While he is still helping owners with his other stats, keep Miller reserved in larger formats until he picks up his scoring.
News: Nuggets G Andre Miller had his best rebounding performance in awhile on Wednesday night against the Mavericks. He matched his season high with seven boards and scored 11 points in the 105-95 loss. He went 3 for 5 from the field, including 1 for 2 from beyond the arc, and made all four of his free throws. Miller also dished out six assists and posted one steal while playing 29 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 9.8 points with five assists and 3.8 rebounds in his last five contests. He is making 66 percent of his 3-pointers over that span and is shooting a solid 58 percent from the floor. While his scoring has been a little inconsistent of late, he continues to see solid minutes off the bench and does a good job filling up the stat sheet on a nightly basis. The 35-year-old has been a viable option in Fantasy for years now so keep Miller active in the majority of formats.
News: Denver G Andre Miller recorded eight points and eight assists during the Nuggets' 112-91 victory over the Clippers on Thursday night. Miller played just 29 minutes and connected on 3 of 5 attempts from the field and both shots from the free-throw line. He did not attempt a shot from 3-point range for the first time in his past six outings as he was held to single digits in points for the first time in that six-game span.
Analysis: Miller has returned to his role off the bench as Denver has regained several players back from injury. Miller was substituting for Ty Lawson and Aaron Afflalo last week and logging close to 35-40 minutes of playing time. He also had a strong run of outings with four consecutive double-doubles. However, his time will be limited barring another injury and Fantasy owners should consider him a mid-range option in most formats.
News: Denver G Andre Miller has complained at times about his status as the backup point guard this season, however in his games where he has been given the opportunity to start, as he was Wednesday against Sacramento in place of Aaron Afflalo, who is hurt, he has let his play do the talking. Miller scored 15 points and had 10 assists on Wednesday as the Nuggets beat the Kings 122-93. It was his third double-double in as many starts this year, and he shot 7 of 9 from the field and added two steals and four rebounds in 32 minutes.
Analysis: Miller now has a double-double everytime he starts this season, and just one in his games off the bench. Starting point guard Ty Lawson left Wednesdays game with an ankle injury, so Miller could continue to see starting opportunities moving forward, which obviously make him very useful for Fantasy owners. Even if hes coming off the bench, Miller is worth using as a low-end starting Fantasy option in all formats.
News: Nuggets G Andre Miller had his finest scoring performance of the year against his former team -- the 76ers -- on Wednesday night. He scored Denver's last 10 points in regulation and finished with a season-high 28 points and 10 assists in the 108-104 overtime win. "Andre was spectacular tonight," coach George Karl said. "He was our best guy down the stretch." He went 12 for 20 from the floor, including 3 for 4 from downtown, and made 1 of 2 free throws. Miller, who played 39 minutes off the bench, also chipped in with eight rebounds and two steals in the victory. "It's always good to win against your former team, but I enjoyed these guys and my time here," said Miller, who played for Philadelphia from 2006-09.
Analysis: Miller was just two boards shy of a triple-double on Wednesday and scored more points than he had in his previous three games combined. He has been playing extremely well of late and provides Denver with a solid point guard behind Ty Lawson off the bench. He is averaging 12 points with 7.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds in his last five contests, while shooting 56 percent from the floor over that span. While his role limits his value in Fantasy, continue to view Miller as a low-end guard in larger formats.
News: Denver guard Andre Miller led his team with 11 assists on Tuesday night in Milwaukee. He added eight points, most of which came at the charity stripe where he was a perfect 6-for-6. Miller struggled to find his shot from the floor going 1 for 5. The veteran guard added two rebounds and a steal, but would commit five of his teams 17 turnovers in Denver's 105-95 win.
Analysis: Miller has been seeing plenty of court time for Denver, despite coming off the bench. He's averaging 6.4 points, 6.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game over his last five outings. He's also shooting 42.3 percent from the floor and 76.9 percent from the charity stripe over that span. Miller has expressed his displeasure with his role in Denver as a backup and has said he'll look for a place he can start next season. That gives him added fuel to perform this year. Fantasy owners should consider Miller more of a No. 4 guard option at this time; his value lies more in Rotisserie formats than head-to-head leagues.
News: With starting point guard Ty Lawson out with a foot strain, Andre Miller ran the offense for the Nuggets on Wednesday night. Reportedly frustrated with his role off the bench, Miller must have found himself overjoyed with the starting opportunity, and he took advantage, scoring 12 points on five-of-nine shooting while adding 12 assists in a season-high 38 minutes. He missed his only three-point attempt and had four rebounds and two steals in the game while running the Nuggets fast-paced offense.
Analysis: Prior to the game, Miller told FoxSportsFlorida.com that he was unhappy with the situation and would likely look for another home next season where he could start. "At this point in my career, I don't see myself as a backup," Miller said. "For 13 years, I wasn't a backup before. This is a short season (due to the lockout), so I'll deal with it. But I don't see myself as a backup at this point in my career. I don't see that." Despite his frustration, Miller has been a useful Fantasy option, scoring 10 points with 6.5 assists per game and two double-doubles. This isnt down much from his 12.7 and 7.0 per game averages from a season ago, and Miller remains a useful low-end Fantasy guard in the Nuggets offense.
News: Nuggets G Andre Miller was able to pick up his scoring in Friday's game against the Hornets. After scoring fewer than double figures the last two games, he finished with 13 points and four assists in the 96-88 win. He went 4 for 10 from the floor, including missing his two attempts from downtown, and converted all five of his free throws. Miller, who played 31 minutes also had four rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot.
Analysis: Miller has cooled off a bit after a hot start to the season but is still doing a decent job of filling up the stat sheet. He is averaging 11.3 points through eight games with 6.3 assists and 1.5 steals. The 35-year-old should continue to see solid minutes off the bench so continue to view Miller as a viable option in the majority of Fantasy formats.
News: Veteran point guard Andre Miller may be coming off the bench for the Denver Nuggets these days, but that doesn't mean he can't contribute. Miller has shown off over the first two games of the season. After putting on his scoring act in the opener, Miller helped the Nuggets move to 2-0 on the season by dishing out 12 assists Wednesday night against Utah. Miller went 2 for 7 from the field in the game to score seven points and added three rebounds and two steals.
Analysis: Miller went 6 of 8 from the field in the opener with two 3-poiners to score 18 points to lead the Nuggets past the defending champion Mavericks. Miller added five rebounds and five assists with three steals and is averaging 12.5 points, 8.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and a 3-pointer per game after two contests. He could start seeing more minutes and does have the ability to keep it up. He might burn out, so owners might want to get him active in their leagues right now.
News: Nuggets G Andre Miller looked pretty sharp in his preseason debut with Denver on Tuesday night. Miller, who was dealt to the Nuggets back in June, finished with eight points on 4-7 shooting in the 127-110 victory. He missed his lone attempt from downtown, but was able to chip in with 12 assists, six rebounds, four steals and a block, while logging 29 minutes.
Analysis: Miller started next to Ty Lawson on Tuesday night, which won't likely be the case once the season starts. The veteran will serve as Lawson's backup, but should still get plenty of minutes in coach George Karl's wide-open offense. Miller can be a decent source of dimes and sometimes steals most night, so consider him worthy of a mid-to-late round pick on Draft Day.
News: The Sports Xchange reports the Nuggets acquired from Portland point guard Andre Miller, who had played for Denver from 2003-06, for point guard Raymond Felton. "We're excited to have Andre back," said Nuggets president Josh Kroenke. "He was a vital part of the organization." Most excited was Nuggets coach George Karl, who had coached Miller from when Karl took over in January 2005 until Miller was traded in December 2006. "We had three options (in acquiring a point guard for Felton), and (Karl) kept telling us, 'Bring back Andre Miller, Andre Miller,' " said Nuggets executive vice president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri. "He loves Andre Miller." The Nuggets felt they couldn't retain Felton, whom they picked up last February from New York, because he wasn't comfortable coming off the bench behind starting point guard Ty Lawson. But Nuggets officials say Miller has indicated he would have no problem being a reserve.
Analysis: We still expect Miller and Lawson to share playing time, and since Karl likes Miller so much, he could get the majority of minutes. Still, going to Denver as a reserve lowers his value, and Miller should now be considered a Fantasy reserve in the majority of leagues. He should be drafted with a mid- to late-round pick as a low-end option in most formats.
News: Portland was listening to offers on veteran guard Andre Miller heading into Thursday's NBA Draft. They pulled the trigger and sent Miller back to Denver. The Nuggets also receive the rights to the Mavericks 26th pick, Jordan Hamilton. The Mavericks receive Rudy Fernandez from Portland along with the rights to 2007 pick Petteri Koponen. The Trail Blazers get younger at the point guard position by acquiring Raymond Felton from Denver.
Analysis: Miller goes to Denver where he'll have to fight Ty Lawson for playing time running the show. Lawson did a good job last year, which means Miller may have to take a back seat and come off the bench. Miller averaged 15.7 points and a team-high 6.0 assists in 81 games during his second season with the Trail Blazers, but definitely takes a Fantasy hit in value with this trade. There is always a chance he gets moved again, which is probably the best thing for him. If he remains in Denver he'll be worth a mid-round choice on Draft Day and low-end guard option.
News: The Oregonian reports that Portland interim GM Chad Buchanan was non-committal about the Blazers' team option on point guard Andre Miller. The Blazers hold a $7.8 million option for Miller for next season, but have yet to exercise it. Buchanan said he has been in touch with Miller and praised the veteran's value to the Blazers but added that there has been plenty of interest in Miller from other teams. "Like any other player, if there's a chance to make our team better, we're going to listen," Buchanan said.
Analysis: Miller averaged 15.7 points and a team-high 6.0 assists in 81 games during his second season with the Blazers and had a solid postseason, averaging 14.8 points and 5.5 assists per game against the Mavericks. Keep an eye on what happens with Miller heading into 2011-12. If he remains in Portland as the starter he would be worth drafting in all leagues as a No. 3 Fantasy guard. But if he leaves then his value will be determined by his destination. Either way, Miller is worth drafting with a mid-round pick.
News: The Portland Tribune reports that Trail Blazers interim GM Chad Buchanan is noncommittal when it comes to bringing back point guard Mike Miller. The Blazers hold a $7.8 million team option for Miller and if they do not exercise it by June 29, the 12-year NBA veteran will become an unrestricted free agent. Weve had a lot of discussions about that, Buchanan says. Well continue having those. I cant give you much more than that on the situation with Andre.
News: The Oregonian reports that Portland GM Rich Cho indicated Monday that point guard Andre Miller's status for 2011 remains up in the air. The Blazers hold a $7.8 million team option for Miller and if they do not exercise it by June 29, the 12-year NBA veteran will become an unrestricted free agent. Since the season just ended four days ago, were going to start having meetings, Cho said. The offseason is a time for evaluation and well go from there. We have until June 29. Its something that were going to evaluate and look at a lot of different options. Miller averaged 15.7 points and a team-high 6.0 assists in 81 games during his second season with the Blazers and had a solid postseason, averaging 14.8 points and 5.5 assists per game against the Mavericks. I really thought Andre did a good job all year, Cho said. Hes one of those guys that if youre on the outside looking in, you might not appreciate him and his play as much. But I think hes a great pro, a warrior. And once I saw him day in and day out, you really get an appreciation for his game.
Analysis: Keep an eye on what happens with Miller heading into 2011-12. If he remains in Portland as the starter he would be worth drafting in all leagues as a No. 3 Fantasy guard. But if he leaves then his value will be determined by his destination. Either way, Miller is worth drafting with a mid-round pick.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller was in the starting lineup on Tuesday, despite getting poked in the eye late in Sunday's contest. The team's athletic trainer told him to take eye drops the next few days and isn't expected to miss any time. Miller shot 4 for 7 from the floor and connected on all four of his foul shots, finishing with 12 points. He added two assists in his 31 minutes of action. The Trail Blazers would end up losing the game, 108-87, as the Warriors pulled away for the win. Miller needs two more assists to become the 14th NBA player to reach 7,000.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 16.0 points, 3.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds over his last five games, while shooting 51.9 percent from the field. It doesn't seem like he'll miss any time as Miller and Portland try to clinch a playoff spot. When healthy, Miller is a viable guard option in the majority of Fantasy leagues. Keep an eye on him the rest of the year to make sure this eye issue doesn't keep him out of action.

Miller was poked in the eye late in Sunday's game against the Mavericks. He will take eye drops for the next few days but is expected to be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.
Analysis: Miller's injury wasn't thought to be serious and turns out it wasn't. the veteran point guard will have to use eye drops for the next few days, but won't miss any time with his ailment as the Blazers look to clinch a playoff berth this week. Fantasy owners may want to keep an eye on his status leading up to tipoff, just to be on the safe side. Miller can be considered a solid mid-range Fantasy guard in all formats, when healthy.

Miller was poked in the eye during Sunday's game. He will be considered questionable for Tuesday's game against Golden State.
Analysis: Miller should be able to play Tuesday against the Warriors, but keep an eye on his status leading up to the game. When healthy, Miller is a quality Fantasy option in all scoring formats.
News: Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller was poked in the eye late in Sunday's game against the Mavericks, though he did not immediately leave the game. He grimaced and laid his head down in pain at the scorer's table briefly. Miller would play 27 minutes in the game, finishing with 10 points on 4 of 9 shooting from the floor. He added three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Analysis: Miller seemed to be fine a bit afterward, but you never know with odd issues like eyes. Monitor the issue in the coming days to make sure it's not worse than originally thought. Miller has put in another solid season running the show in Portland, averaging 13 points and 7.1 assists per game. As long as he is in fact healthy, we like him as a solid mid-range option in all formats moving forward.
News: Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller made it to the arena on time and was in the starting lineup on Saturday versus the 76ers. He was excused from team Friday to attend to a family matter and it was unclear if he would make it back for Saturday's contest. Miller would log 38 minutes and shoot 4 for 9 from the floor, finishing with nine points. He added six boards and seven assists for the Trail Blazers. Portland would go on to win the game, 110-101.
Analysis: Miller may not light up the score board on a nightly basis, but he does enough across all categories to make him a solid Fantasy option. Over his last five games Miller is averaging 7.8 points, 6.0 assists and 1.0 steal per outing. He's not flashy, but Miller is a top-20 Fantasy guard in terms of scoring in standard CBSSports.com leagues. Fantasy owners should keep him active heading into the next scoring period, as he's a solid option in the majority of leagues.
News: The Trail Blazers reports that guard Andre Miller has been excused from team Friday to attend to a family matter. His status for Saturday's game vs. the Sixers has not been determined.
Analysis: Fantasy owners in daily leagues should use caution when setting your lineup in case Miller is out Saturday. Portland also has four games in Fantasy Week 22, and we hope Miller will be active for that scoring period. When he's healthy and active Miller is a quality Fantasy option in all leagues.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller didn't do too much in Saturday's game against the Bobcats, but he didn't have to. With the game well in hand in the second half, the Blazers took it easy. He only took five shots the entire game, hitting three of them for a total of eight points. Miller added six assists on the night offensively. On the defensive end, he registered a rebound, block and steal in 30 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Miller had scored in double-figures in each of the last four games before Saturday, but he also didn't eclipse the 30 minute mark for the first time since February 5. He remains one of the stronger point guards in the NBA who's perfected the art of creating a shot for his teammates or himself. Even with his pedestrian night, Miller is one of the more consistent guards in the NBA. Fantasy owners should continue to keep him in all lineups moving forward.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller almost registered a triple-double on Friday night against the new-look Denver Nuggets. He scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out nine assists for the Trail Blazers. Miller would shoot 7 for 17 from the floor and convert all four of his freebies at the charity stripe. He added a block in his 42 minutes of action. He did get into foul trouble, but was able to stay on the court when they need him most -- overtime. Portland would hold on for the 107-106 victory, handing the Nuggets a loss for the first time since trading away Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups.
Analysis: Miller has been very consistent lately for the Trail Blazers. Over his last 10 games he's averaging 13.6 points, 8.8 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. He's also chipping in 4.4 boards and shooting 45.9 percent from the field over that span. The 34-year-old was brought up in trade rumors, but stayed put after Thursday's trade deadline came and went. With him playing at a high level, Fantasy owners have taken notice. Continue to roll with Miller as the season progresses, especially with four games in store for the Trail Blazers in Week 19 (Feb. 28-March 6).
News: Blazers guard Andre Miller notched his 10th double-double of the season in Sunday's 105-100 win over the Pistons. Miller finished with 15 points and 12 assists in the victory, on 5 of 6 shooting from then field. He did commit a season-high nine turnovers, but finished a perfect 5 of 5 from the charity stripe. "We had a lot of turnovers tonight, but we found a way to pull it out," Miller said. "They got into a rhythm late and found a couple go-to players, but we were able to finish it off." Miller also chipped in with two rebounds and a steal while logging 37 minutes.
Analysis: Miller has been playing very well of late. The 34-year-old is averaging 15.2 points over his last five contests and is shooting 55 percent from the field over that stretch. Miller has also been spreading the ball around to his teammates with greater frequency. He has dished out double-digit assists totals in three of his last five contests and is averaging 9.4 dimes in the month of February. He continues to run Portland's offense with Brandon Roy sidelined and should be active in nearly all formats while he is playing so well.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller notched a season-high 27 points and 11 assists in the Blazers' 109-103 victory over Chicago on Monday night. Miller connected on 7 of 11 shots from the field and finished a glistening 13 for 13 from the free-throw line -- his first perfect outing from the charity stripe in his last four games. It was also Miller's ninth double-double of the season as Portland posted 100 points during its second win in a row. Miller chipped in six rebounds and a block but also committed three turnovers.
Analysis: Miller matched a season high with 42 minutes as the Blazers utilized his strong defense against Bulls star guard Derrick Rose. Miller notched four steals, matching his second-highest total of the season and most since Jan. 7 against Minnesota. The veteran point guard has fared well recently and is averaging 15.4 points and 9.2 assists in his last five games for an undermanned Portland team. He should be viewed as a solid option at guard in all Fantasy formats as long as he continues his sterling play.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller finished Tuesday with 18 points and nine assists, one assist short of his eighth double-double of the year. Miller shot 8 for 13 from the field and converted both his foul shots for the Trail Blazers. He did miss his lone shot from downtown, but he didn't make many mistakes -- just two turnovers. The veteran guard added two boards in his 36 minutes of action. Portland would beat San Antonio, 99-86.
Analysis: Miller hasn't missed a game due to injury or illness since 2003, so his recent bout with gastroenteritis was a bit alarming. He played just three minutes back on Jan. 22, but in the three games since he is averaging 16.6 points and 7.0 assists. Miller has been one of the durable players in Portland over the past few seasons, which is a rarity for the team. While the veteran guard is producing these numbers, he should be viewed as a solid starting guard in all Fantasy formats.
News: After only playing the first 2:42 of Saturday's game due to gastroenteritis, Portland G Andre Miller got the start on Monday night against Sacramento and had a productive game. He scored 18 points and dished out five assists in the 96-81 loss. He went 8 for 15 from the field and converted both of his foul shots while playing 33 minutes. Im fine, Miller said before the contest. Miller also chipped in with five rebounds and three steals in the defeat.
Analysis: Portland coach Nate McMillan said he will keep close tabs on Miller, who hasnt missed a game due to injury or illness since 2003. Miller was hospitalized Saturday night for dehydration. Dre is all about playing, McMillan said. We have to watch him carefully. Miller is averaging 13.6 points with 5.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals over his last five contests and has been productive while making up for the loss of Brandon Roy. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor his health status over the next few days to see how he will be affected. But has long as he is playing and producing, Miller should remain active in the majority of Fantasy leagues.
News: The Trail Blazers list Andre Miller (gastroenteritis) as 'probable' for Monday's game against Sacramento. Miller left Saturday's game against Indiana early in the first quarter due to a bout with gastroenteritis.
Analysis: Gastroenteritis is just a fancy word for the stomach flu. Consider Miller a risky play in weekly formats for Week 14 (Jan. 24-30) with the Blazers slated for just two games in the scoring period. We recommend going with healthier alternatives where possible -- especially in cumulative scoring leagues.
News: The Trail Blazers have yet to update the status of G Andre Miller for Monday's game against Sacramento. Miller left Saturday's game against Indiana early in the first quarter due to a bout with gastroenteritis.
Analysis: Miller is officially day-to-day and questionable for Monday's West Coast night game against the Kings. He will be an injury risk in weekly formats for Week 14 (Jan. 24-30) as a result of his uncertain status and with the Blazers slated for just two games in the scoring period we recommend going with healthier alternatives where possible -- especially in cumulative scoring leagues.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller left early in the first quarter and did not return in the Blazers' 97-92 victory over Indiana on Saturday night. Miller played just three minutes before rushing to the locker while battling gastroenteritis. He did not attempt a shot and recorded one assist before departing. Miller will have a day off to prepare for Monday's game against Sacramento. He is considered questionable for that game.
Analysis: Miller clearly had his shortest stint of the season as a result of gastroenteritis but still managed to extend his season-long streak of consecutive games with an assist. The veteran point guard is averaging 13.1 points and 7.3 assists per game but has recorded double figures in both categories during the same game just seven times this season. Still, he remains a solid Fantasy option in all formats, when healthy.
News: Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller was clicking on all cylinders on Thursday night against the Clippers. Miller, who has been on a scoring surge lately, did it all for Portland in their 108-93 win. He scored 15 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed eight rebounds. Miller didn't shoot the ball particularly well, going 6 for 15 from the field, but he was effective enough to help his team win. Miller converted 3 of his 5 foul shots as well.
Analysis: Miller has stepped up his game for the injury-depleted Trail Blazers. Over his last five games he's averaging 17.6 points, 7.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds per contest. He's shooting 46 percent from the field over that span and has missed just three of his foul shots. Portland will continue to lean on Miller for more production with Brandon Roy out. Patrick Mills will continue to get his minutes, but Miller should remain the go-to guard down the stretch for the Trail Blazers. Fantasy owners should view Miller as a solid option in all formats moving forward.
News: Portland G Andre Miller has gotten his scoring up over the last few games and had another solid performance on Saturday night against New Jersey. He scored 19 points and dished out eight assists in the 96-89 win. He went 8 of 14 from the field, including missing his lone attempt from downtown, and converted 3 of 4 foul shots while playing 35 minutes. Miller also chipped in with two rebounds and a steal in the victory.
Analysis: Miller has been playing well of late and is averaging 14.8 points with 7.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds over his last five contests. He is also shooting 53 percent from the field during that span and has helped pick up the slack with Brandon Roy out for the foreseeable future. While Miller has gotten some minutes stolen away from second-year player Patrick Mills, it has not effected his production much and the 34-year-old is having a solid campaign. With the Timberwolves, Kings, Clippers and Pacers on the schedule for Week 13 (Jan. 17-23), continue to view Miller as a solid option in most Fantasy leagues.
News: Portland coach Nate McMillan clarified on Monday how he intends to use his point guards, Andre Miller and Patrick Mills, going forward, reports The Oregonian. McMillan said the plan is to play the backup Mills to start the fourth quarter and rest Miller until the seven- or eight-minute mark. McMillan also said that despite the fact that Mills has seen more fourth-quarter minutes in four of the last five games, that plan is going to continue to be in place. Miller has had issues with the way he's been used in the fourth lately. "Man, there's no explanation for nothing around here," Miller said after Sunday's game. "I can't play the whole fourth quarter the whole season. (But) ... that was a good game, so I'm not going to dwell on me." McMillan said he has not talked to Miller about the comments yet. My door is always open, McMillan said.
Analysis: Miller has averaged 28.2 minutes per game over his last five contests, despite the questionable usage in the fourth quarter. He's averaging 9.0 points, 6.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game over that span. Mills is seeing 22.4 minutes per game, by contrast, and scoring 12.0 points per game over that span with 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals and almost two 3-pointers per game. As you can see, the two have clear-cut strengths and weaknesses about their game and they are very different point guards. Miller will continue to play as he has recently and that makes him worth using in most Fantasy leagues. Just realize his welcome may be wearing a bit thin in Portland.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller tallied 16 points and 10 assists in the Blazers' 108-98 victory over Minnesota on Friday night. It was the sixth double-double of the season for Miller -- all on points and assists. Miller sank 7 of his 9 shots to finish with his best field-goal percentage of the season (77.8 percent). With his eight assists in the first half, Miller passed Muggsy Bogues for 16th on the career assist list and has now totaled 6,729 assists in his 12-year NBA career. He added four rebounds and three assists in his 37 minutes of playing time as the Blazers won for the fourth time in their last five games.
Analysis: Miller has started to regain his passing touch and has now reached double figures in assists three times in his last eight games. Fantasy owners will certainly appreciate his increased scoring production -- if he can stay consistent. In his last five games, Miller has posted 11.0 points but that includes three outings with single digits. Consider the veteran guard a mid-range guard in most Fantasy formats.
News: Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller has had two straight sub-par games for Portland. He shot 40 percent form the field -- missing his lone 3-pointer -- and going 1 for 2 from the foul line on Tuesday night in Dallas. Miller would finish with nine points, three assists, one steal, one block and four rebounds in his 30 minutes of action. That follows his three point outing on Sunday.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 10.8 points, 6.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds over his last five outings. Three of those games have seen him score less than 10 points though, as he can't find the range recently. With Patrick Mills nipping at his heels, Miller has to careful not to let his numbers drop too much more. Fantasy owners should monitor this situation in Portland carefully. For now, Miller is worth using in the majority of Fantasy leagues as a low-end starting guard.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller helped the Blazers take down Utah on Monday night as he scored 17 points in the win. Miller shot 5 of 9 from the field and had his second consecutive solid performance after struggling for a bit. Miller added six assists and three steals in the win.
Analysis: Miller was losing favor in Portland but was coming off a 12-point, 15-assist effort in his previous game and is beginning to play well again. His numbers are definitely down from what owners have come to expect, but Miller remains worthy of use in most deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Portland Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller was fined $25,000 on Saturday. Miller was fined for throwing the ball in the stands following the Blazers' 103-98 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
Analysis: Miller has definitely shown signs of frustration this year -- this chair incident the most recent. Over his last five games Miller is averaging 9.6 points, 7.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He's only missed one foul shot over that time, but is getting to the charity stripe just over three times per game. The veteran guard is struggling to find his shot from downtown this season, but on a whole is about on par with his career numbers. He's a solid Fantasy guard in all leagues because of his assists. Keep him active, despite his recent dip in production.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller went 5 for 10 from the field on Monday night as Brandon Roy struggled with his shot in a loss to Memphis. Miller scored 14 points for the Blazers and added nine assists as he just missed the double-double in 37 minutes on the floor. Miller also had six rebounds and a steal and committed five turnovers.
Analysis: Miller has been erratic with his scoring and can sometimes shoot poorly. When the ball is going in the basket, however, he remains a solid Fantasy guard in all leagues and formats.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller scored a team-high 22 points in the Blazers' 97-83 victory over Orlando on Thursday night. It was Miller's first game back since serving a one-game suspension for an altercation in Portland's game against the Clippers last Sunday. Miller, who was in the starting lineup Thursday, matched a season high with nine field goals made en route to his highest point total of the season. The veteran added eight assists and seven rebounds as the Blazers captured their third victory in a row.
Analysis: Miller logged 38 minutes Thursday and connected on 9 of his 15 shot from the floor. He missed his one 3-point attempt and has now misfired on his last 12 shots from beyond the 3-point arc. Clearly, Fantasy owners are not depending on his 3-point shooting but rather his assists. He is averaging 7.2 assists per game and now has nine games this season with eight-plus assists. He's a solid Fantasy play and a must-start guard in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Trail Blazers PG Andre Miller, who served a one-game suspension Tuesday against the Suns, will be back in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Magic. The suspension ended Miller's streak of 632 consecutive games played.
Analysis: The altercation that earned Miller the suspension Sunday was a minor one, so the suspension was a bit of a surprise. It's in the past now, though. Miller has taken on a bigger role in the Blazers offense this season with Brandon Roy hobbled, averaging 13.2 points, 7.2 assists and 2.2 steals. He's back to being a high-end Fantasy guard.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller was suspended for one game for his part in Sunday's mini-altercation against the Clippers, reports the team's official site. Brian Cook was suspended for two games for his flagrant-2 foul on Joel Przybilla. The Miller suspension was a little unexpected. Miller will miss Tuesday's game against the Suns and will be eligible to return on Thursday against Orlando. Miller had played in 632 consecutive games dating back to the 2002-2003 season but that looks like it will come to an end.
Analysis: Miller goes from playing four games during Week 7 (Dec. 6-12) to only three now that he's going to miss the first against Phoenix. Miller is averaging 13.2 points, 5.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game over his last five. He's playing well and can be active in all Fantasy leagues upon his return from suspension.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller scored 12 points despite a poor shooting night in the Blazers' 83-79 loss at Washington on Friday. Miller, who left the game in the second quarter with an apparent knee injury and returned to action after halftime, finished 2 of 12 from the field but a perfect 8 of 8 from the free-throw line. He added seven rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, and three assists.
Analysis: Miller seemed to have a rough game all-around Friday. The veteran point guard recorded a season-low three assists and his 17 percent showing from the field was by far his worst of the season. Still, he represents a high-end No. 2 Fantasy guard in all formats and should remain in the lineup as this lackluster outing came at the end of Portland's four-game road trip to the East Coast.
News: Blazers guard Andre Miller scored nine points on 4 of 9 shooting in Tuesday's 88-79 loss to the Sixers. He played 33 minutes in the defeat and chipped in with nine assists, four steals and two rebounds.
Analysis: Miller has been a model of consistency for the Blazers this season. He is going to get you 13 and 10 almost every night and may even drop a 20-point effort on you from time to time. Miller will continue to be the floor general for the Blazers moving forward and remains a solid Fantasy guard in all leagues.
News: Blazers G Andre Miller continued his solid play on Saturday in a loss to the Jazz. He scored 15 points on 6 of 16 shooting, and dished out nine assists to again lead the team. Miller continued to fill the stat sheet, pulling down five rebounds and getting the handle on four steals. He played 34 minutes in the defeat.
Analysis: Miller is an underrated floor general in the NBA, but his play continues to support the title. He has been steady running the Portland offense through the first month of the season averaging 13 and seven. Continue to roll with him in Fantasy play as a solid play.
News:The Oregonian reports that Andre Miller (thigh) was able to practice on Monday. He is expected to play on Tuesday night in Memphis. Miller scored 14 points with four assists and a rebound in his last game on Saturday at New Orleans.
Analysis: Miller is not in any real danger of missing any game action and remains a safe play in all formats. He was diagnosed with just a thigh bruise. Miller could actually be in line for a boost to his numbers with Brandon Roy a real question mark to play this week and the likelihood that he may be limited even if he does. Consider Miller a solid play in any league.
News: Blazers guard Andre Miller continues his efficient play with a solid performance on Saturday. He shot 7 of 10 from the field on his way to 14 points, and dished out four assists in the process. Miller also chipped in a rebound and a steal in 32 minutes of action.
Analysis: The veteran guard has played a pretty consistent 30 minutes in each game at the beginning of the season, so he should continue to put up solid numbers on a talented Portland squad. Continue to utilize him in Fantasy play as a No. 3 guard moving forward.
News: Blazers guard Andre Miller was relatively quiet in Tuesday's 100-78 win over the Pistons. Miller was 3 of 6 from the floor, but finished with just eight points in 29 minutes. He misseed both of his 3-point attempts in the victory but was able to chip in with four assists, three rebounds and a steal.
Analysis: Miller has logged heavy minutes so far this season and might have to play even more with Brandon Roy saying he needs his minutes cut back. Miller is a decent source for assists, but is no longer considered a high-end Fantasy guard at this stage of his career. Consider him more of a No. 3 Fantasy guard at this point.
News: Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller paced his team with 16 points and 11 assists on Thursday night -- his second double-double of the season. It wasn't enough however, as Portland would fall to Oklahoma Cit 107-106 in overtime. The veteran logged 35 minutes and shot 7 for 18 from the field. He missed his lone shot from downtown and connected on both of his foul shots. He grabbed six rebounds and had two steals as well.
Analysis: Portland traded Miller's primary backup this season, so he's definitely going to see heavy minutes -- or as much as he can take. He'll put up consistent numbers, but isn't a high-end Fantasy guard at this stage of his career. Fantasy owners should view him as a solid No. 3 option in most formats, as he is capable of posting double-doubles, but will more often than not give you around 11 points and seven assists.
News: Portland G Andre Miller was very efficient in Tuesday's 90-76 win over the Bucks. Miller scored 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting and dished out five assists in the win. He played in 28 minutes and the Blazers were plus 12 with him on the floor.
Analysis: Miller has gotten off to a nice start this season, averaging 12.4 points and 7.4 assists through the first fiver games of the season. He doesn't shoot the ball much, which is evident by the box score, but he normally makes the most of his shots. Miller is a good source for assists and can be viewed as a No. 3 Fantasy guard in most formats at this point.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller had 19 points and 10 assists for the Trail Blazers, who improved to 3-0 by erasing a nine-point deficit in the final 5½ minutes of Saturday's game against the Knicks. Miller's backup was traded to New Orleans, so the veteran is the primary ball handler for the Trail Blazers. He hit 6 of his 8 foul shots and also went 6 for 8 from the field. He grabbed four rebounds and made three steals, but turned the ball over four times in his 32 minutes of action.
Analysis: Miller doesn't shoot the ball much, which is evident by the box score, but he normally makes the most of his shots. He is a pass-first guard and that is where is value lies in Fantasy leagues. He won't lead the league in assists, but he is a good source of them as he is averaging 8.0 a game this season. Continue to view him as a No. 3 or No. 4 guard option in most Fantasy formats.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller started and played 26 minutes in the season opener against the Suns on Tuesday. Miller just missed a double-double in the game. He scored 10 points on 4 of 8 shooting and added nine assists as he ran the offense for the Trail Blazers. Miller picked up a steal and grabbed two boards, only turning it over three times.
Analysis: Miller is no longer a Fantasy stud but if he can remain consistent as he was on Tuesday, he's going to have a good year. Fantasy owners who need assists can watch as he racks them up passing to LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy and company. No longer a stud, Miller is still a serviceable Fantasy guard and can be used in most leagues as a No. 3 or No. 4 option.

News: Trail Blazers G Andre Miller averaged 15.7 points, 5.8 assists with 3.2 rebounds in a six-game series loss to the Suns in the first round of the NBA playoffs. He averaged 34.8 minutes per game.
Analysis: Miller carried a lot of the load in the back court with Brandon Roy not at 100 percent. He averaged just 14.0 points, 5.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds during the regular season, but that was due to a fluctuating role as he struggled to find his place in the rotation early this season -- many times not due to any fault of his own. Miller has the ability to put up numbers like this on a regular basis and could be a value in the middle rounds in Fantasy drafts this fall if Fantasy owners in your league have decided to write him off.
News: Trail Blazers G Andre Miller had 21 points with four assists and four rebounds in a Game 5 loss in Phoenix on Monday. He is averaging 18.0 points, 6.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds in the series.
Analysis: Miller is carrying a lot of the load in the back court with Brandon Roy not at 100 percent. He averaged just 14.0 points, 5.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds during the regular season, but that was due to a fluctuating role as he struggled to find his place in the rotation early this season -- many times not due to any fault of his own. This came after scoring just six points Wednesday against New York, and that followed a 26-point outing Sunday against Oklahoma City. In the game before that Saturday against New Orleans, Miller had just eight points. So in his past four games, Miller has two games with at least 24 points and two games with eight points or less.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 16.6 points, 6.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds in his past five games, so his overall stats look fine. But you'd like to see more consistent stat lines where he's above 20 points. Still, Miller has played well for most of the season and should remain active in all leagues. He should finish the season strong as he tries to help Portland secure a higher seed in the playoffs.
News: Trail Blazers G Andre Miller had just eight points to go with eight assists and a steal in Saturday's game at New Orleans. Miller had not been held under 10 points since Feb. 27.

Analysis: Miller is producing excellent, well-rounded stat lines for Fantasy owners at the right time in the Fantasy season. View him as a high-end No. 2 guard option for any format.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller had 14 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals Tuesday against Sacramento. It's the seventh game in a row he's been below 20 points and the 10th time in the past 11 games.
Analysis: Miller is still finding a way to produce in other areas. In his past five games, even though he's averaging just 12.2 points, he still has averages of 5.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals. Miller remains a quality Fantasy option in all leagues and hopefully his point total will increase.
News: Trail Blazers G Andre Miller had 12 points with four assists and four rebounds Wednesday against Indiana. He is averaging 12 points and 7.2 assists in his last five games.
Analysis: Miller got off to a frustrating start in Portland due to the way he was being used behind Steve Blake by coach Nate McMillan. Over time, he increased his role and his production returned to the level of a No. 2 or 3 guard in a lot of leagues. That is where his value remains heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
News: Portland G Andre Miller scored 12 points and dished out 11 assists in a victory over Memphis on Monday night. Miller shot 5 of 11 from the floor while adding five rebounds, a block and a steal in 30 minutes. Miller now has seven double-doubles on the season.
Analysis: Miller has been playing fairly consistent basketball over his last five contests, averaging 13.6 points and 7.8 while accumulating two double-doubles during that span. While the numbers don't necessarily jump out at you, Miller remains consistent and that is why he remains a solid play in any Fantasy format.

News: Blazers point guard Andre Miller played well on Tuesday night in a win at New Jersey. Playing against the inferior opponent, Miller shot 7 for 10 from the field and went 1 for 1 from 3-point range. He scored 20 points, dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds.
Analysis: Miller has been scoring well of late for the Blazers with 16.6 per game over his last five. With 6.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per night over that span, Miller is resembling a solid Fantasy point guard play in any league right now.
News: With the Trail Blazers trading Steve Blake to the L.A. Clippers Tuesday, Andre Miller should see a boost in playing time. Miller went into the All-Star break averaging 13.5 points, 5.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game.
Analysis: Miller got off to a frustrating start in Portland due to the way he was being used behind Steve Blake by coach Nate McMillan. Over time, he increased his role and his production returned to the level of a No. 2 or 3 guard in a lot of leagues, but this news clears the way for him to return to being a steady high-end Fantasy guard again in all leagues.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller scored over 20 points for the second straight game on Wednesday in a win at Phoenix. Miller was actually right at 20 points against the Suns on 8 of 15 shooting. He added five assists, seven rebounds, three blocks and a steal.
Analysis: Miller has been playing well for a while now and is averaging 15.2 points, 6.2 assists, 4.4 rebounds and just under a steal and block per game over his last five. While his numbers are down quite a bit from his two-year spell in Philadelphia, Miller is still worth using in most Fantasy leagues as a starting guard.
News: Trail Blazers PG Andre Miller had 22 points, six rebounds and six assists in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder. It was his best game since his 52-point gem on Jan. 30.
Analysis: Miller vanished in the first couple of game following his 52-point outing, but he's been improving steadily over the last three contests. While his numbers are down quite a bit from his two-year spell in Philadelphia, Miller is still worth using in most Fantasy leagues as a low-end starting guard.
News: Portland G Andre Miller scored 14 points as the Blazers fell to the Lakers 99-82 on Saturday. Miller shot 5 of 8 from the floor in 30 minutes of play while adding four rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
Analysis: Miller has averaged 18.8 points per game over his last fives games to go along with 6.4 assists. However the 18.8 points is slightly skewed because Miller had an amazing 52 point performance on January 30. Normally, Miller averages 13 points per game while dishing out 5.3 assists. He is a No. 3 Fantasy guard and a No. 4 when Brandon Roy returns the lineup.
News: Portland G Andre Miller scored 11 points on 5 of 14 shooting in a 96-93 victory over San Antonio on Thursday. Miller played 35 minutes and added 10 assists and four rebounds in the win.
Analysis: Miller has averaged 16.4 points over his last five games, but those numbers are skewed because of Miller's 52-point performance against Dallas. Miller has only reached double figures in two of his last five games, but does dish out enough assists at 5.8 to make him a No. 4 Fantasy guard in most leagues.
News: Trail Blazers PG Andre Miller exploded for a career-high 52 points in Saturday's overtime win against Dallas. In 42 minutes he took 31 shots, sinking 22 of them. He added 5 rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Analysis: Miller bounced back in the biggest of ways Saturday after failing to score in double figures in three straight games. However he remains a borderline No. 4 Fantasy guard.
News: Portland guard Andre Miller struggled with his shot Monday night against New Orleans, but he still found a way to be productive. Miller only had six points on 1 of 8 shooting from the field and 4 of 6 shooting from the foul line, but he still finished with 10 assists and five rebounds.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 18.2 points, 7.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds in his past five games. Keep him active in all leagues and consider him a solid Fantasy option while he's playing at this level.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller is really taking the scoring load on his shoulders right now for the Blazers. In Friday's loss at Boston, Miller scored 28 points with eight assists and eight rebounds. He shot 11 of 23 from the field and added two steals.
Analysis: Miller had his best Fantasy line of the season on Friday in the loss at Boston but has been good for a while now. He's averaging 22.4 points, 5.6 assists, 3.4 boards and a steal per game over his last five for the Blazers and is playing 37.4 minutes per game over that span. With Brandon Roy out, Jerryd Bayless is playing two guard and that leaves the point position to just Miller and Steve Blake. Blake is seeing about half as many minutes as Miller right now and that has Miller's value skyrocketing. Portland plays four games in Week 14 (Jan. 25-31) and we like Miller as a solid start in just about any Fantasy format.
News: Bob Myers, the agent for Brandon Roy, said the All-Star guard will be given one week of rest before his right hamstring is re-evaluated next Thursday, according to The Oregonian. Roy flew to from Philadelphia to Seattle with team athletic trainer Jay Jensen on Thursday to receive a second opinion on his strained right hamstring. The consensus out of that meeting was to give Roy a week to recover, then determine a course of action. Roy's re-evaluation will come on Jan. 28, the same day the team will depart to Houston for a two-game trip against the Rockets (Jan. 29) and Dallas Mavericks (Jan. 30). Jerryd Bayless picked up some of the slack for Roy Wednesday scoring 18 points to help push the Blazers past the 76ers. Bayless should continue to start in his place. Martell Webster and Andre Miller could also see increased offensive roles in his absence.
Analysis: Roy will miss at least the Blazers' next four games: Friday night in Boston, Saturday in Detroit, and home games Jan. 25 against New Orleans and Jan. 27 against Utah. He could possibly return for the team's final two games in Fantasy Week 14 (Jan. 25-31), but he will be a very risky play in weekly formats and somebody we recommend playing it safe with. Bayless becomes a very solid addition off the waiver wire in the short term. His value is higher in cumulative leagues as we don't expect much out of him outside of scoring while Andre Miller is running the point. He will be used more as a two-guard. Miller has been playing a bigger role in recent games with all the team's injuries and has once again emerged as a solid Fantasy point guard. Both Miller and Webster are quality plays with the team likely looking to lean on them for bigger offensive responsibilities.
News: Blazers PG Andre Miller's torrid play continued Wednesday against the 76ers as he scored 24 points. It was his second consecutive 20-point effort, and fourth in nine games this month. Miller is averaging 19.6 points in January. He added three assists and two rebounds.
Analysis: Miller is playing his best basketball of the season, with his scoring, assists and rebounds all increased dramatically. He is worth starting in all Fantasy formats.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller scored 19 points for the second straight night on Friday to help the Blazers overcome the absence of Brandon Roy to beat Orlando. Miller shot 8 for 14 in the win and added nine assists with a steal.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 18.6 points, 8.0 assists and 4.1 rebounds with one steal per game in seven January contests thus far. This is easily his best month yet and it could mean he's ready to establish a bigger scoring role with the Blazers. Of course, the team would prefer to have their offense go through Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge so Miller could lose his scoring burst at any moment.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller scored 17 points and added seven assists in a 107-98 victory Friday against the Lakers. This was Miller's fourth straight game scoring in double figures and he has averaged just under 8.5 assists during that same span. Miller came into the game as questionable after missing practice on Thursday with a sore back.
Analysis: Despite some tension with head coach Nate McMillan, Miller has seen plenty of minutes in Steve Blake's (pneumonia) absence. Fantasy owners should keep tabs on Blake's return because it will have a direct correlation on Miller's performance, and his numbers could go down. For now Miller's numbers are worthy of a Fantasy start. It doesn't seem the back problem is that big of an issue.
News: According to The Oregonian only seven players practiced for the Trail Blazers Thursday. Andre Miller, who hurt his back in a collision with a cameraman Saturday, did not practice. Coach Nate McMillan said Miller was questionable, if not doubtful, for Fridays game against the Lakers.
Analysis: There was a lot made of a confrontation between Miller and coach Nate McMillan that resulted in a 30-minute shouting match that has been widely reported. However, that is not expected to affect his playing time. Miller is averaging 15.6 points and 7.2 assists over his last five games and while he's never been comfortable with his role in Portland, he's at least putting up numbers lately with the team decimated by injuries. Steve Blake (pneumonia) is not expected to play Friday, which would help Miller's probability that he'll stay productive if he is able to play. He will likely be a game-time decision.
News: Trail Blazers G Andre Miller had 22 points and 16 assists in Monday's game at the Clippers. He has scored over 20 points in his last two games.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 15.2 points and 8.0 assists over his last five games. The absence of Steve Blake, who has missed the last two games due to pneumonia, has a direct impact on the numbers. When Blake returns, Miller's numbers could dip again, but this is a reminder that Miller still has the ability to put up these numbers when he is used the right way. He's once again worth starting in all Fantasy formats for now.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller scored 14 points and dished out eight assists on Friday in a win over Denver. Miller shot 5 of 9 from the field and added a steal.
Analysis: Miller is averaging almost 14 points per game over his last five contests, a slight increase on his season average. The eight assists, however, are his highest total since dishing out 11 dimes was back on Nov. 18 against Detroit. He is still currently averaging fewer than four dimes per game in December and that isn't a good sign for a pass-first point guard. Miller is no more than a No. 4 guard in Fantasy.
News: Trail Blazers PG Andre Miller, getting another start Thursday against the Suns with Steve Blake coming off the bench, took a blow to the face in the second quarter and left the game. He returned, but by then fellow Jerryd Bayless was already well on his way to a career-high 29 points. Miller finished with four points and five assists in 18 minutes.
Analysis: This injury doesn't seem like a major concern for Miller, and neither is Bayless, quite frankly. Miller is the better distributor, so he'll get his minutes. He'll continue to get less than his usual numbers, though, since the Blazers run their offense through SG Brandon Roy. Miller is no more than a No. 4 guard in Fantasy.
News: The Trail Blazers started Andre Miller at point guard rather than Steve Blake against the Kings on Tuesday, a move that seemed like a foregone conclusion when the Blazers signed Miller as a free agent in the offseason. Miller didn't take advantage of the opportunity, though, scoring only four points to go along with three rebounds and three assists. Blake came off the bench for the first time since Nov. 3, 2007, and had five points and two assists in 24 minutes.
Analysis: The Blazers run their offense through SG Brandon Roy, so no matter who starts between Miller and Blake, neither will put up big numbers. Miller at least gets enough assists to be relevant in Fantasy, but starting wouldn't improve his status as a No. 4 Fantasy guard. Blake is just a last resort in Fantasy -- one capable of hitting a few threes.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller scored 20 points on Friday in a loss at Cleveland. He shot 8 for 13 from the field and hit two threes. Miller added six rebounds and three assists.
Analysis: After five December games, Miller is averaging 16.2 points per game, easily his best scoring month of the season. That said, his assist numbers are down more than one dime per game since he's put the ball through the hoop more consistently. Miller is shooting more, especially from long range, but it is costing him dimes. That trade off keeps him from raising his Fantasy value. He remains more of a No. 4 Fantasy guard.
News: Trail Blazers PG Andre Miller, who went scoreless in only six minutes off the bench last time out, had 18 points, six assists and three rebounds in 32 minutes off the bench Tuesday against the Heat. He has now scored in double figures in nine of his last 11 games, averaging 12.6 points during that stretch.
Analysis: Miller's averages are well below his career norms since he has had to come off the bench for much of the season, but he's still a decent source of assists, averaging just under five per game. Treat him as a No. 4 Fantasy guard.
News:Andre Miller had no excuses for Portland's near slip Wednesday night against the Pistons. "We relaxed," he said simply. Miller had 10 points and 11 assists for the Trail Blazers in their 87-81 victory against tenacious Detroit. Portland led by as many as 20 points in the second half, but the Pistons closed to 78-77 with 1:05 left. "They could have easily laid down, but they fought and got back in the game," Miller said. "We could have easily lost that game."
Analysis: Miller got off to a slow start with his new team but seems to be coming around much better of late. With so many scoring options in Portland, Miller has plenty of people to pass the ball to and his assists numbers should continue to go up. He should remain active in the majority of Fantasy formats.
News: Trail Blazers G Andre Miller had 9 points and 10 assists in Wednesday's game at Minnesota. It was his fourth start of the season.
Analysis: In four games as a starter, Miller is averaging 11.8 points and 6.0 assists with 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals. He is not yet back to the level of his days with the Nuggets or Sixers, but can once again be used as a starter in most Fantasy formats.
News: Portland PG Andre Miller was given his first start of the season on Friday night in a win over the Spurs. While the change in lineup certainly got the desired effect -- a victory -- Miller didn't play all that well. Miller scored 10 points in 33 minutes on 2 of 9 shooting. He missed both threes he tried. Miller added six rebounds and four assists but committed a season-high three turnovers as well.
Analysis: Miller has shot under 28 percent from the field in four of the six games he's played this season. He saw an increase in minutes as a starter on Friday but didn't turn that into increased scoring or assists. Fantasy owners have to consider Miller just a low-end starter in Fantasy, at best, for the time being.
News: The Trail Blazers once again started Steve Blake at point guard Tuesday against Atlanta. He shot 2 for 10 from the field in 27 minutes and finished with only 5 points and 3 assists. Andre Miller played 28 minutes off the bench and had just 5 points, but 11 assists.
Analysis: The Blazers are off to a 2-3 start and Blake hasn't done much to justify leaving him as the starter over Miller, who has been a high-end point guard throughout his career. Until this situation is settled, Fantasy owners have to consider Miller just a low-end starter in Fantasy and Blake as an undesirable option due to his inefficiency.
News: Trail Blazers PG Steve Blake, named the starter even with the offseason acquisition of Andre Miller, played 26 minutes -- the same as Miller -- in the season opener Tuesday against the Rockets. He had seven points, three rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Miller finished with nine points and seven assists and got to attempt more shots (11) than Blake (six). Playing alongside SG Brandon Roy, Blake might not get many opportunities for assists, especially with Miller breathing his neck, so don't bother with him in Fantasy unless you need cheap 3-pointers.
News: PG Andre Miller, making his debut with the Trail Blazers, had to come off the bench in the season opener Tuesday against the Rockets. He scored only nine points in 26 minutes, in part because he shot only 3 for 11 from the field. He also had seven assists and four rebounds.
Analysis: At age 33, Miller remains one of the safer bets for assists in the NBA, but his scoring might suffer in a reserve role. Still, he could overtake starter Steve Blake at any point, so continue to think of him as a No. 2 or 3 Fantasy guard.
News: The Trail Blazers signed veteran free agent guard Andre Miller to a three-year, $21 million deal on Friday. Miller, whose NBA career has spanned 10 seasons with four teams, averaged 16.3 points and 6.5 assists as a starter for the Philadelphia 76ers last season. "I'm just looking forward to the challenge, you know?" Miller said in a conference call. "I know Portland wants to accomplish a lot of things, and I want to add to that." Miller joins point guards Steve Blake and Jerryd Bayless with the Blazers, the second-youngest team in the NBA last season. Portland won 54 games and advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 2003. Miller confirmed his deal with the Blazers was for two years with a team option on a third.
Analysis: Miller has played an NBA-high 530 straight games. He has missed just three in his career. The 33-year-old Miller went to the Sixers in 2006 in a midseason trade with the Denver Nuggets that involved Allen Iverson. He did not miss a game for Philadelphia. Miller was the eighth overall pick in the 1999 draft out of Utah by the Cavaliers. Over his career, he has averaged 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 815 games, 768 starts. He has 174 career double-doubles. The move to Portland makes him no less of a high-end Fantasy option in the 2009-10 season.
News: The Philadelphia Daily News reports that the 76ers have withdrawn their 1-year offer to Andre Miller. Miller is an unrestricted free agent.
Analysis: The report adds the Sixers made that move because they believe Miller does not want to return on a 1-year contract. There have been multiple reports in recent days about interest from the New York Knicks and the Portland Trail Blazers, and both the Sixers and Miller's agent, Andy Miller, are open to the possibility of a sign-and-trade. It sounds like Miller's days in Philly could be over but he should remain an elite Fantasy option no matter where he ends up for the 2009-2010 season.
News:Andre Miller's ironman streak for the 76ers does not extend to team meetings. The veteran point guard who has played an NBA-high 530 straight games no-showed the Sixers' final team meeting on Friday, something his agent blamed on miscommunication between Miller and the team. At the final roll call of the Sixers' season, center Theo Ratliff joined Miller on the unexpected absentee list. Both veterans are unrestricted free agents and the no-shows at the team meeting further soured the mood of a franchise that was embarrassed a night earlier in a Game 6 season-ending playoff loss at home against the Orlando Magic.
Analysis: Coach Tony DiLeo and team president Ed Stefanski stewed over the whereabouts of two leaders they expected to know better than to blow off a team meeting. Stefanski considered the absences unexcused. "I don't know if that's sending us a message or what," Stefanski said of Miller's truancy. Miller's agent, Andy Miller, said he talked with Andre Miller and the guard was not taking a stance. Miller thought the meetings were optional. "He would like to re-sign with Philadelphia if the opportunity presented itself," Andy Miller said. It sounds like Miller's days in Philly could be over but he should remain an elite Fantasy option no matter where he ends up for the 2009-2010 season.
News: Sixers guard Andre Miller had 15 points, nine assists and six rebounds Tuesday against Boston. Miller is averaging 17.0 points, 5.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds in his past five games.
Analysis: Miller remains an elite Fantasy guard and should do well in the playoffs. Keep him active in all leagues at this time.
News: Philadelphia fell to Charlotte on Tuesday night but it was not for the effort of point guard Andre Miller. Miller scored a team-high 23 points and dished out seven assists in the loss. He added four rebounds, a steal and a block and shot 8-of-13 from the floor.
Analysis: Miller has been playing extremely well down the stretch. He's averaging 17 points, nine dimes, five boards, two steals and is shooting quite well from the field. Miller is playing like every bit a must-start Fantasy option in all leagues.
News: Philadelphia PG Andre Miller, along with the rest of the Sixers, struggled mightily in Sunday's game against the Nets. He scored merely seven points in a 96-67 loss, adding four assists and two rebounds.
Analysis: Miller and Andre Iguodala combined for merely 12 points in Sunday's game, which was by anyone's standards a poor performance. This does not represent Miller's ability and he should still be considered a must-start candidate across the board.
News: Philadelphia PG Andre Miller was tired of double-doubles after picking up two straight against Atlanta and Milwaukee coming into Saturday's game against Detroit. Playing with a sprained middle finger, Miller recorded a triple-double vs. the Pistons. Miller scored 21 points on 6-of-17 from the field and added 12 assists and 10 rebounds. He also had two steals.
Analysis: Miller is playing awesome right now with 15 points, eight dimes and five boards per game over his last five contests. That comes with almost two steals and makes Miller a must-start candidate in all leagues.
News: 76ers point guard Andre Miller has a sprained middle finger but is not expected to miss any games. Miller hurt his finger Thursday night in a 105-95 win over Milwaukee. X-rays on Friday were negative. Miller is considered probable for Saturday's game against the Pistons and is expected to extend his NBA-high games played streak to 124. Miller is also playing through the lingering effects of a strained right calf.
Analysis: Miller is averaging 16.1 points and 6.5 assists per game this season. He has scored 18 points in each of his last two games but has been playing through an injured calf muscle as well. He is still a player to use in most leagues unless the finger injury hampers his performance.
News: The Philadelphia Daily News said Sixers guard Andre Miller, whose current streak of 521 straight games played is longest among the league's active players, is still playing hurt. Miller has been gutting it out despite the lingering effects of a strained right calf. He's playing well, too. On Tuesday in a win over Atlanta, Miller scored 18 points and dished out 10 assists.
Analysis: Miller is doing what he can for the Sixers as they make their final push for the playoffs. He remains a quality Fantasy option as long as he's on the court, so keep him active at this time.
News: Sixers G Andre Miller had 27 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in Monday's game in Portland. He had scored a combined 14 points in his two previous games.
Analysis: Miller was aided by the fact there was overtime on Monday, but he is an above-average Fantasy guard who can be relied upon for around a 15-5-5 line most of the time as well as over a steal per game and a solid field-goal percentage.

The veteran point guard is running the offense well and providing an unusual amount of scoring, too. Miller is averaging 19.1 points and shooting 70-for-133 in the last nine games, putting him at a career-high 49.4 percent and 16.1 points on the season. "He has a great understanding of when to attack, as far as being a scorer, and when to give me my shots," said leading scorer Andre Iguodala. "He does a good job of getting easy baskets for me and finding me on back cuts and putting the ball in places that few guards can do."
Analysis: Miller has a knack for knowing when to shoot and when to involve his teammates. His tendency has been to score more early in the game -- four of his seven double-digit quarters have been in the opening period -- and look for the other guys more in the final three quarters. "I think he sets the tone for us," said Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks. "As the game dictates itself in the second half, he determines whether or not he's going to score of distribute the ball to different guys." Either way, Miller is running the show in Philly and remains a must-start Fantasy option.

Analysis: Miller turns 32 in March and his contract expires after next season. He is a decent PG stuck on a very average team and could be very useful for a decent team with an average PG. He is a low-end No. 3 or high-end No. 4 Fantasy guard at the moment and likely wouldn't drop or rise too much with a change in scenery.

He has nine field goals made in each of his last two games now, a number which he had only reached once in his 11 previous contests. Analysis: Miller only has two more assists than PF Andre Iguodala this season, which isn't a very good thing. His shot percentage is also down, so his owners really aren't getting what they should from Miller so far this season yet. Consider him a No. 2 guard for now, but his stock will fall if he continues to under-perform.
