Report: Houston acquires Jason Terry from Sacramento

(9/1/2014) The Associated Press reports that the Rockets and the Kings have reached an agreement to a trade that will sent guard Jason Terry to Houston in exchange for two second-round draft picks and guard/forward Alonzo Gee.

Terry scored only 4.5 points per contest in 35 games with Brooklyn before being shipped to Sacramento. He did not suit up for the Kings after the trade because of a left knee injury.


Jason Terry will rehab instead of joining Kings

(2/21/2014) Kings head coach Michael Malone said on radio Friday that guard Jason Terry will rehab in Dallas instead of joining his new team, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Terry hasn't felt healthy since undergoing left knee surgery in the offseason, dealing with knee issues throughout the season while averaging 4.5 points on just 36.2 shooting in 35 games played. The Kings will look to get him ready for the beginning of next season.


Kings, Nets finalize three-player trade

(2/19/2014) The Kings announced Wednesday that they have acquired guard Jason Terry and forward Reggie Evans from the Nets in exchange for forward Marcus Thornton.

"Adding Jason and Reggie provides our roster with toughness and veteran leadership that will help this team continue to grow," general manager Pete D’Alessandro said in a press release. "They bring a wealth of NBA experience to Sacramento that will undoubtedly make a positive impact on our younger players. We also thank Marcus for his contributions and wish him great success going forward."

Terry averaged 4.5 points on 36.2 percent shooting in 35 games played with the Nets, while Evans averaged 2.7 points and 5.0 rebounds over 30 games played with his former team.

(2/19/2014) The Nets and Kings are reportedly closing in on a deal involving Jason Terry, Reggie Evans and Marcus Thornton, NBA Insider Ken Berger reports. 

Sacramento would receive veteran shooter Jason Terry and rebound specialist Reggie Evans, and the Nets would acquire three-point expert Marcus Thornton. The deal isn't complete, but reports indicate the two teams are close to an agreement

(2/18/2014) The Kings and Nets are discussing a deal centered on Kings guard Marcus Thornton for Nets forward Reggie Evans and guard Jason Terry, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Thornton has averaged 8.3 points on 38.1 percent shooting in 46 games for the Kings, and his playing time is being curtailed by the presence of Ben McLemore.

Evans has averaged 2.7 points and 5.0 rebounds over 30 games played. Terry, whose name has come up in trade rumors involving the Cavaliers, has averaged 4.5 points on 36.2 percent shooting in 35 games played.

(2/17/2014) In need of backcourt depth, the Nets are interested in acquiring Cavaliers point guard Jarrett Jack, and are willing to part ways with Jason Terry in order to complete the deal, according to ESPN on Monday.

Jack has appeared in 51 games in his first season with the Cavaliers, averaging 8.5 points on 39.7 percent shooting in 25.7 minutes per game. Terry, 36, has one season left in his deal with Brooklyn, and is averaging 4.5 points on 36.2 percent shooting in 16.3 minutes through 35 games played.

(1/3/2014) Nets guard Jason Terry has barely seen the floor in recent games, as he played just five minutes for the second game in a row Thursday against the Thunder. 

Terry missed his lone field-goal attempt -- a 3-pointer -- en route to another scoreless performance, his second in a row. He added just one rebound, as the Nets won, 95-93.

Terry has appeared in six games in a row since returning from a knee injury, but is averaging just 4.5 points per game in that span.

(12/23/2013) Nets guard Jason Terry was able to play for the first time in over a month Monday, in a 103-86 loss to the Pacers.

Terry, who missed 15 games with a knee injury, was able to play 15 minutes in the game. He scored 11 points on 4 of 7 shooting, with three 3-pointers, while adding two rebounds.

Terry will likely continue to be eased back into duty coming off the injury.

Lopez missed Friday's game after suffering a sprained ankle Thursday. Teletovic and Johnson are dealing with an illness. Terry (knee) and Kirilenko (back) are targeting a return later in the week.

This will be the eighth game in a row missed by Terry, while Williams has missed the last nine. Kirilenko will miss his 15th game in a row, and has played in just four games this season as a result of the injury.

(11/29/2013) Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko (back) and guard Jason Terry (knee) did not travel with the team for Friday's game against the Rockets, and will likely bet out at least a few more games as a result. The Nets also play Saturday in Memphis, meaning the earliest they could return is Tuesday against the Nuggets at home.

Newsday reports both will be out at least another week, however, putting their earliest possible return Saturday, Dec. 7 at Milwaukee.

It'll be Williams' fourth straight missed game with an ankle injury, while Terry has also missed four games while dealing with a knee injury. Kirilenko has missed 10 straight games due to a back injury, and Lopez is missing his seventh straight with an ankle issue.

(10/23/2013) Nets guard Jason Terry, who had been recovering from offseason surgery on his left knee, made his preseason debut Wednesday night against the Celtics. He went 3 of 7 shooting from the field and finished with seven points, three assists and two rebounds in 24 minutes.

"I thought I felt pretty good, still a little rusty," Terry told YES Network after the game. "You could see that at times. ... But other than that, it was good to be out there with my teammates. My wind was good, so my conditioning was great. I look forward to getting after it against Miami [on Friday]."

(6/28/2013) The Nets and Celtics agreed to an intra-division blockbuster Thursday during the NBA Draft, with the Celtics sending Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to Brooklyn for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, Reggie Evans, Tornike Shengelia and Keith Bogans. The Celtics will also net three first-round picks in the deal, CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger confirms. The deal cannot be finalized until July 10, when Keith Bogans can be sign-and-traded to Boston to complete the deal.
