(7/14/2014) Free agent point guard D.J. Augustin has reached a two-year, $6 million deal with the Pistons on Sunday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Augustin averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds over 71 games last season for the Bulls.

(4/14/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin will not play Monday night against the Magic due to personal reasons, the team announced. Augustin is averaging 13.0 points and 4.4 assists per game this season. It remains to be seen if the 26-year-old will be back with the club by Wednesday's season finale.

(3/30/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin put together another dominant play, scoring a career-high 33 points in a 107-102 victory over the Celtics.

Augustin shot 10 of 14 from the floor, including 3 of 4 from downtown, and 10 of 10 from the free throw line. He also contributed with three assists, one rebound and one steal while logging 31 minutes of game action. He is averaging 17.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds over his last five games.

(3/19/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin has scored in double figures in every game so far in March, after he dropped 20 in a 102-94 win over the 76ers Wednesday.

Augustin played 33 minutes off the bench Wednesday and led the team in scoring with 20 points. He shot 6 of 15 from the field with four 3-pointers, though he added just two rebounds and two assists as well in the win.

After stumbling to 12.5 poitns per game in February, Augustin has found himself this month. He is averaging 18.0 points and 3.4 assists per game in 10 March games.

(3/6/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin has snapped out of a slump in the month of March, as he topped the 20-point mark for the second time in three games Wednesday against the Pistons.

Augustin scored 26 points on 7 of 14 shooting, his best total since late January, thanks to a parade of trips to the free-throw line. He was 10 of 10 on free throws and 2 for 5 from three-point range, and added six assists in 31 minutes as the Bulls went on to win 105-94.

Augustin's scoring dropped from 16.1 points per game in January to 12.5 in February, so this has been a promising start to March. He is averaging 21.7 points and 3.3 assists per game in three March appearances.

(2/19/2014)  The Bulls didn't ask D.J. Augustin to do much playmaking Wednesday against Raptors, so he responded with a strong scoring effort in a 94-92 win.

Augustin played 26 minutes and dished out just one assists, the second time he has recorded such a low total in the last five games. He made up for that with 19 points on 7 of 15 shooting, including a 4-of-5 mark from three-point range.

Augustin has been a revelation since joining the Bulls midway through the season. He is averaging 13.8 points and 5.6 assists per game in 33 games for the Bulls.

(2/2/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin continued his strong play Saturday, scoring a team-high 23 points in an 88-79 loss to the Pelicans.

Augustin scored his 23 points efficiently, on 8 of 17 shooting. He shot just 1 of 5 on 3-pointers, but made up for that by sinking all six of his attempts at the free-throw line. Augustin added two rebounds and seven assists in his 40 minutes of action, while turning the ball over only two times in the loss.

Augustin continues to play a surprisingly large role for the Bulls. He is averaging 18.4 points and 5.4 assists per game over the last five, in line with his production since becoming a starter.

(1/22/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin set a season-high in scoring Monday and matched it Wednesday, scoring 27 points on 8 of 14 shooting, including 5 of 8 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 98-87 win over the Cavaliers.

The Bulls stuck with the starters for a large portion of the game, as all five played at least 39 minutes. Augustin added seven assists and five rebounds while serving as the primary option at point guard with Kirk Hinrich out.

Augustin has averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds over 31 games played.

(1/20/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin scored a season-high 27 points on 10 of 16 shooting, including 5 of 7 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 102-100 overtime win against the Lakers Monday.

The Bulls need a Herculean effort from Augustin after Kirk Hinrich went down with a hamstring injury, and he did not let them down, making key shot after key shot in the waning moments of the win. He added four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes of action. Depending on the status of Hinrich's injury, Augustin could become a key player for the Bulls moving forward.

(1/18/2014) Bulls guard D.J. Augustin put up another strong line Saturday against the 76ers, playing 28 minutes in a 103-78 win.

Augustin came off the bench to score 19 points, and he did so efficiently, shooting 7 of 10 from the field. He added a pair of 3-pointers and went 3 of 3 from the free-throw line, while chipping in four rebounds, three steals and eight assists to fill up the box score.

Augustin has been a surprisingly useful player for the Bulls since signing as a free agent. He is averaging 16.2 points and 7.6 assists per game over the last five.

Augustin went 5 of 10 shooting from the field, including 4 of 6 from downtown, and 2 of 2 from the free throw line. He finished the game with 16 points, two assists, one rebounds and one steal while logging 20 minutes of game action.

Augustin has scored at least 16 points in three of his last four games played. He has averaged 13.6 points, 6.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds over his last five games played.

Augustin was relied on more than usual with Jimmy Butler out, playing 35 minutes while also collecting two rebounds, one steal and one block along with his second double-double of the season. Augustin has averaged 7.2 points and 4.1 assists in 25 games played.

(11/9/2013) With starting point guard Kyle Lowry sidelined for the second half of Saturday's game against the Jazz, the Raptors had a chance to test out some other options at point guard. Surprisingly, the team went with rookie Dwight Buycks for the lion's share of the minutes, rather than veteran D.J. Augustin.

Augustin played just seven minutes off the bench despite Lowry's absence, his third straight game in single figures in minutes. He had just two points and one rebound, while Buycks played 21 minutes.

Augustin is averaging just 2.3 points and 1.0 assists per game in just 10.1 minutes per game.

(10/13/2013) Raptors guard Dwight Buycks logged in a team-high 24 minutes of game action off the bench in Saturday's preseason win over the Timberwolves.

Buycks, who is fighting for backup minutes with D.J. Augustin, shot 3 for 9 from the field and knocked down all two of his free throw attempts. He finished with eight points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals in a 104-97 victory. Augustin had just eight points on 3 of 6 shooting while logging 18 minutes.

(7/25/2013) The Raptors signed free-agent guard D.J. Augustin to a one-year deal Monday, with the intention of having him come off the bench to back up Kyle Lowry. Contract details have not been made public. The former No. 9 overall pick averages 9.6 points and 4.0 assists per game in five seasons.
