Mbah a Moute fouls out off bench Mbah a Moute fouls out off bench Updated 10/13/2009
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks SG Carlos Delfino got a start at small forward in a preseason game Monday at Houston. He scored 16 points on 6 of 15 shooting, including 4 of 10 from 3-point range. He also had eight rebounds, four steals and two assists. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, the favorite to start at small forward for the Bucks, played only 14 minutes off the bench before fouling out. Analysis: Mbah a Moute is more of a defensive specialist than an offensive weapon, so he doesn't have much Fantasy value to begin with. As a starter, he's worth a late-round flier just because you know he'll get minutes, but he should go undrafted in most Fantasy leagues.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva had 18 points and seven rebounds Monday against Orlando. Villanueva came off the bench with Luc Richard Mbah a Moute starting in his place. Mbah a Moute only had four points, six rebounds and two assists. Analysis: The Bucks are likely putting Villanueva on the bench since he's a free agent and could leave the team. Mbah a Moute is a rookie who the Bucks could lean on as a starter in the future. For now, Villanueva has more Fantasy value even in a reserve role to end the season.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Milwaukee rookie SF Luc Richard Mbah a Moute put together a nice game on Sunday in a win over Boston. The rookie out of UCLA scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He shot 4-of-11 from the field. Analysis: Mbah a Moute is playing better of late and is averaging 11 points and eight boards per night over his last five contests. That comes with 1.2 steals and makes Mbah a Moute someone to consider in deeper leagues once again.
Mbah a Moute using break for rest Mbah a Moute using break for rest Updated 2/14/2009
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writes that Bucks rookie SF Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will use his first All-Star break in the NBA to rest after hitting the rookie wall fairly hard. "Just get a lot of rest," Mbah a Moute said. "Get basketball off my mind for a little bit. Try to refresh." Mbah a Moute did not play in the rookie-sophomore game and will not play basketball until the season starts again. Analysis: Mbah a Moute averages 25.1 minutes per game in his first year and is one of only two Bucks to have played in every game, along with Richard Jefferson. He admits the grueling schedule has caught up with him. The season started very promising after he averaged 10 points, eight boards and 1.1 steals per game in November but he began to slow from there and was down to three points, 5.5 boards and under a steal four February games. Look for him to get a bit of a boost when the season starts up again but right now he's mostly just someone to consider in the deepest of Fantasy leagues.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Milwaukee SF Luc Richard Mbah a Moute played well despite shooting poorly on Wednesday in a win over the Pacers. Mbah a Moute scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds but shot just 2-of-8 from the field. He added a steal, a block and an assist. Analysis: As long as Charlie Villanueva is playing well, Mbah a Moute will not get too many opportunities to shine. He remains worth using in only the deepest of leagues.
Mbah a Moute has decent night Mbah a Moute has decent night Updated 1/28/2009
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Milwaukee small forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored 10 points on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers over 30 minutes coming off the bench. The former UCLA star was 5-of-6 from the field and added five rebounds and four steals. Analysis: Mbah a Moute has taken just 25 shots in his last five games and has connected on 14 of them for an average of 6.8 points per night. Along with his average of six boards over that span, he's really just a very low-end Fantasy player at this point. As long as Charlie Villanueva is playing well, Mbah a Moute will not get too many opportunities to shine.
Mbah a Moute outshined by Villanueva Mbah a Moute outshined by Villanueva Updated 1/24/2009
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Minnesota F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored only four points on 2-of-7 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, starter Charlie Villanueva scored 27 points getting the start on 10-of-14 shooting. Mbah a Moute did however pull down 10 rebounds in the game. Analysis: Since Villanueva has returned to the Bucks' lineup, Mbah a Moute's performance has struggled in terms of Fantasy production. He is used more as a defensive stopper in Minnesota and not a great Fantasy option at the moment. Keep him reserved until his offensive production picks up once again.
Mbah a Moute not clicking Mbah a Moute not clicking Updated 1/18/2009
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had just four points to go with six rebounds off the bench Saturday at the Clippers. He is averaging 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds over his last five games. Analysis: Mbah a Moute was pretty solid early in the season, but the presence of Charlie Villanueva does not allow for him to be consistent. He is more of a defensive player and a rebounder than an offensive presence. Leave him reserved until he can put a good string together again.
Mbah a Moute starting but doing little Mbah a Moute starting but doing little Updated 1/10/2009
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Milwaukee rookie small forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is still starting for the Bucks but after scoring just four points in Saturday's loss at Minnesota, he's doing little of Fantasy value. Mbah a Moute shot just 1-of-2 from the field and added five rebounds in the game. Analysis: Mbah a Moute was pretty solid early in the season with Michael Redd out and still starts but is scoring just 4.8 points per night over his last five games. That comes with six boards, which isn't bad, and less than one assist per game. He does little else and is only worth using in the deepest of Fantasy leagues right now.
Mbah a Moute just a minor contributor Mbah a Moute just a minor contributor Updated 12/31/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Milwaukee SF Luc Richard Mbah a Moute started and played 18 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Rockets. The rookie from UCLA did not score in the game and was 0-for-2 from the field. He added two steals. Analysis: Mbah a Moute is averaging eight points, 3.6 boards and 1.4 assists over his last five games for Milwaukee. He's starting but doing little of Fantasy value over 24 minutes per night. Consider Mbah a Moute a potential stopgap in deeper category-based leagues. He can help in rebounds and occasional scoring along with some steals when he is going well. Right now, though, he is not a recommended starter.
Mbah a Moute's offense lacking Mbah a Moute's offense lacking Updated 12/11/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: The Sports Xchange notes that Luc Richard Mbah a Moute has arguably been the Bucks' best defender, but the rookie from UCLA hasn't provided much help on the offensive end. Including his four points against the Warriors on Wednesday, Mbah a Moute has scored only 28 points in the last six games. Analysis: Mbah a Moute has been able to wrestle minutes away from Charlie Villanueva -- a far superior offensive player -- with good defense. However, his lack of consistent offensive production could hurt him in the long run, especially with Villanueva putting up nice numbers of late. Consider Mbah a Moute a potential stopgap in deeper category-based leagues. He can help in rebounds and occasional scoring along with some steals when he is going well. Right now, though, he is not a recommended starter.
Mbah a Moute struggling on road Mbah a Moute struggling on road Updated 12/9/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, like many rookies before him, has had trouble adjusting to life on the road, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He had only four points, two rebounds, two steals and one assist in only 15 minutes of play Tuesday at Phoenix. "We're working on that with him," coach Scott Skiles said. "He has to be able to get it done on the road also. We're asking an awful lot out of him. We're asking him to guard some of the bes tforwards in the league. Then he comes out, and I put him back in on a guard. That's an awful lot to ask." Analysis: Mbah a Moute entered Tuesday's game shooting 49.2 percent at home compared to 40 percent on the road, but his other numbers don't show such a big divergence. Mbah a Moute got off to an unexpectedly hot start in his rookie season, but he has cooled off since, scoring in double figures in only one of his last seven games with an average of 5.3 points over that stretch. Reserve him for now in standard Fantasy leagues and treat him as just a low-end forward.
Mbah a Moute's numbers slip a bit Mbah a Moute's numbers slip a bit Updated 11/26/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks rookie F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, who seized a starting job with his strong performance out of the gate this season, had only four points, eight rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes Wednesday at Atlanta. He attempted only four shots and has attempted five or fewer in four of his last six games. Analysis: Mbah a Moute entered Wednesday's game averaging 9.8 points and 7.6 rebounds this season, but he has averaged 6.6 points and 8.4 rebounds over his last five games. The Bucks start him more for his defense than his offense, so you can't expect him to score in double figures every game. Still, he should get 10 points more often than not and remains a No. 4 Fantasy forward.
Mbah a Moute's shot not falling Mbah a Moute's shot not falling Updated 11/20/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute shot just 2-for-10 from the field in Wednesday's game at Utah and is shooting 19-for-55 (34.5 percent) over his last five games. Analysis: Despite the rough patch from the field, he continues to start and is averaging 12.6 points and 8.8 rebounds over those same five games. Wednesday's game was a bit of a hiccup, which is to be expected of a rookie. But his overall body of work so far has made him worthy of considering a No. 3 or 4 Fantasy forward, depending on the size of your league.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Milwaukee rookie SF Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored seven points in 31 minutes off the bench on Tuesday in a loss to Cleveland. Mbah a Moute, the UCLA product, added nine rebounds and a block. Analysis: Mbah a Moute has been a surprising breath of fresh air for Milwaukee on the young season. He's playing solid minutes and helping out with almost 10 points and six rebounds per game. He's worth adding to deeper Fantasy rosters at this time and might even be worth a start in weeks when the Bucks have a favorable schedule.
Mhah a Moute proves productive Mhah a Moute proves productive Updated 11/3/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Bucks F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute scored 11 points and also added 10 rebounds in Sunday's win over the Knicks. He shot 4-for-6 from the field in 35 minutes on the floor. Analysis: For Mbah a Moute, it was his most productive game in just his third career appearance. The rookie has played increasingly more in each game so far, but is still going to have to fight for minutes behind Richard Jefferson and Charlie Villanueva. He is worth an add, as the Bucks like his defense and plan on giving him minutes, but give him another week to see if he can prove consistent before activating him.
Mbah a Moute getting some run Mbah a Moute getting some run Updated 10/30/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: A night after rookie Luc Mbah a Moute played 10 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's game at Oklahoma City. He shot 0-for-2 and did not score, but did contribute five rebounds. Analysis: The Sports Xchange notes that Luc Richard Mbah a Moute has already raised a lot of eyebrows with the Bucks' brass. Mbah a Moute, the team's second-round draft pick, has been the team's best defender, according to Bucks coach Scott Skiles and that should earn him some playing time, albeit limited. He played 26 minutes in the opener and 11 on Wednesday. View him as a player to monitor for now, but Charlie Villanueva's 20 points and 12 rebounds on Wednesday show who the more viable power forward option is in Milwaukee right now.
Mbah a Moute plays 26 off bench Mbah a Moute plays 26 off bench Updated 10/29/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: Despite some late rumors he might open the season in the starting lineup, Bucks rookie SF Luc Mbah a Moute came off the bench Tuesday at Chicago, but he played 26 minutes. He finished with six points, two rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block. Analysis: Meanwhile, Charlie Villanueva, the guy the rumors said Mbah a Moute might replace, played only nine minutes even though he started. Coach Scott Skiles seems to appreciate Mbah a Moute's defensive presence, meaning he seems a safe bet for minutes right now. He likely won't do much scoring in those minutes, though, so think of him as just a low-end Fantasy option.
Bucks with four games in Week 1 Bucks with four games in Week 1 Updated 10/28/2008
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF MIL
News: The Bucks will have four games in Fantasy Week 1 (Oct. 27-Nov. 2). They'll play at Chicago, at Oklahoma City, at home against Toronto and at New York. The Bulls allowed 100.4 ppg last season. The Thunder/SuperSonics allowed 106.3 ppg. The Raptors allowed 97.3 ppg. The Knicks allowed 96.9 ppg. Analysis: Luke Ridnour will match up against rookie Derrick Rose in his first ever NBA game. He will then take on either Earl Watson or rookie Russell Westbrook in Oklahoma, Jose Calderon at home against Toronto and Chris Duhon in New York. Ridnour will be a decent No. 4 guard for larger leagues, but his upside is limited. Rookie Joe Alexander is a player that should be reserved until he can prove his worth. Ramon Sessions can be thought of as a No. 5 guard in deeper leagues only because of the extra game and Luc Mbah a Moute may actually get some decent playing time and may even start. He's a bit of a stretch, but should be monitored this first week. Charlie Bell is not a recommended option this week because of his limited role.
