Anthony Morrow signs for three years in Oklahoma City

(7/12/2014) The Thunder have added free-agent guard Anthony Morrow on a three-year deal, The Oklahoman reports Saturday.

Morrow's deal is reportedly worth $10 million with a team option for the third year. He averaged 8.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 76 appearances for the Pelicans last season, and is a career 42.8 percent three-point shooter.

(7/3/2014) The Heat are reportedly making Anthony Morrow one of their top targets as they try to flesh out the roster in free agency.

According to ESPN.com, the Heat are making a push for Morrow, though it is not clear what kind of deal is being discussed. Morrow is likely to command a small enough salary to fit within the Heat's limited cap space, after he made just over $1 million while averaging 8.4 points in 76 games a year ago.

Morrow averaged 8.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 76 appearances for the Pelicans this season. He also converted 45.1 percent of his 3-pointers, finishing third among all players in the NBA.

(2/22/2014) Pelicans guard Anthony Morrow turned in a productive shooting performance off the bench on Saturday, scoring 18 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field, including 3 of 3 from 3-point land, and 1 of 2 from the free throw line in his team's 94-93 loss to the Wizards.

Morrow also chipped in with two rebounds and one steal while logging 25 minutes of game action. It was his first game in double figures since Feb. 5 against Atlanta. He has averaged 8.0 points and 1.6 rebounds over his last five games.

(2/18/2014) The Pelicans have made Anthony Morrow available in trade talks for a draft pick, CBSSports.com NBA insider Ken Berger reports.

Morrow is making a shade more than $1 million this season and owns a $1.15 player option for next season. Currently No. 1 in the NBA with a 48.0 shooting percentage from three-point range, Morrow has averaged 6.3 points and and 15.6 minutes over 47 games played.

It was the second-best scoring performance of the season for Morrow, who also had one rebound and one steal in 22 minutes. He managed just 18 points in his previous four games combined. Morrow has averaged 6.1 points and 15.0 minutes over 42 games played.

(1/25/2014) Pelicans guard Anthony Morrow, who missed his last two games with a stomach virus, returned to action in a big way on Friday, as he knocked down four treys in a 103-101 victory over the Pistons in Detroit.

Three of Morrow's four triples came in the final quarter. He also converted a pair of free throw's with 30.8 seconds left to help seal the win.

Morrow, who had been sidelined since Jan. 15, led the team with 21 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field, including 4 of 5 from downtown, and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. He did all of his damage in 25 minutes of game action, also adding three rebounds and two steals.

"Being sick and kind of being out of the rotation -- just got to fight through it," Morrow said after the game. "Got to be a professional."

(1/24/2014) Pelicans guard Anthony Morrow is back with the team and available to play in Friday's game against the Pistons after missing his team's last two games with a stomach virus, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

"I can't wait to get back out there," Morrow said. "I'm going to do whatever I can to get some time and contribute to the team. We have obviously been hit by the injury bug, so whatever I can do to be productive I am going to do."

Morrow went 5 of 9 shooting from the field, including 1 of 2 from beyond the arc. His lone 3-pointer came from the right wing in the second quarter. He finished the game with 11 points and two assists while logging 19 minutes of game action in a 104-98 victory.

Morrow has scored in double figures in two of his last three games. He is averaging 5.8 points on 40.7 shooting from the field over his last five games played.

(11/10/2013) Pelicans guard Anthony Morrow came off the bench to score a season-high 16 points on 7 of 11 shooting in his team's 101-94 loss to the Suns Sunday.

Morrow, who played a season-high 28 minutes in the loss, sank two of his four tries from behind the arc and collected three rebounds. He was the only bench play to see more than 12 minutes of action.

Morrow, who is coming off the bench for the Pelicans, scored 14 points in just 18 minutes. He shot 4 of 5, including all making all four of his three-point attempts. He added four rebounds, a block and a steal.

Morrow is averaging 16.0 minutes per game through two games, thanks to the Pelicans' crowded wing rotation.
