Jordan Hamilton can't sustain strong start

(3/5/2014) Rockets forward Jordan Hamilton seemed to have found a path to success following a trade from the Nuggets, but he has come back to earth in his last two games. Hamilton made just one field goal Wednesday in a 101-89 win over the Magic.

Hamilton made just one field goal for the second game in a row, finishing with three points on 1 of 4 shooting in 18 minutes. He added four rebounds, one block and one steal as well in the win.

Hamilton scored in double figures in each of his first three games following the trade, but has fallen on hard times over his last two. He is just 2 of 7 for seven points over the last two games.

(2/26/2014) Rockets forward Jordan Hamilton made his team debut Tuesday, playing 24 minutes off the bench in a 129-103 win over the Kings.

Hamilton scored 12 points in his 24 minutes, shooting 4 of 7 from the field. He nailed a pair of 3-pointers and added five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal to fill up the box score as well.

It is hard to say what kind of role Hamilton will be looking at with the Rockets, as Tuesday's game was a blowout from the first quarter on. He averaged 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game in 39 appearances for the Nuggets prior to being traded.

(2/20/2014) Denver is not done dealing, as Yahoo Sports reports that Jordan Hamilton will be heading to the Rockets in exchange for Aaron Brooks

Brooks, a proven scorer, will help strengthen the Nuggets' injured backcourt. Hamilton averaged 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds for the Denver.

(2/13/2014) Nuggets guard Jordan Hamilton has been playing more recently thanks to injuries, and he scored in double figures in consecutive games for just the fourth time all season Wednesday against the Timberwolves.

Hamilton played 33 minutes off the bench Wednesday, and put together one of his better performances of the season. He scored 16 points on 7 of 14 shooting, and added six rebounds, seven assists and three steals with just one turnover in the 117-90 loss.

Hamilton has played in just 38 of the Nuggets' first 51 games this season, and has struggled to earn a consistent role. He is still averaging just 6.8 points per game on 38.9 percent shooting.

Hamilton scored 11 points and shot 4 of 12 from the floor, including 1 of 4 from downtown, and 2 of 3 from the charity stripe. He also chipped in with three rebounds and one assist while logging 25 minutes of game action. He has averaged just 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds over his last three games played.

Hamilton received a flagrant foul-2 for swinging his arm and hitting Steven Adams and could be in line for a possible suspension. He finished the game with four points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal before leaving the game. He went 2 of 6 shooting and logged 16 minutes of game action in a 105-93 defeat.

(11/22/2013) Nuggets forward Jordan Hamilton showed his range from beyond the arc as he knocked down three treys during Thursday's win over the Bulls.

Hamilton made two of his three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and knocked all of his treys from the wing. He went 6 of 12 shooting from the field, including 3 of 6 from downtown, and 2 of 3 from the free throw line. He finished the game with a team-high 17 points, six rebounds, one block and one steal while logging 22 minutes of game action in a 97-87 victory.

Hamilton has drilled at least three 3-pointers three times this season. He is averaging 8.8 points and 3.8 boards on 42.1 percent shooting from the field, including 31.3 percent from downtown over the last five games.
