News: After taking a beating in Game 1 against the Thunder, the Rockets turned to an unlikely source for a spark in Game 2 Wednesday. Rookie guard Patrick Beverley started his first game of his career at point guard in the game, and played a big part in keeping the game close. Beverley had 16 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in 41 minutes of action, as Jeremy Lin was also forced to leave the game with an injury. With the Rockets outscored the Thunder by four in a 105-102 loss, and they make continue to ride with him in the starting lineup.
Analysis: Beverley proved to be yet another solid value signing for the Rockets, averaging 5.6 points, 2.9 assists and 0.9 steals in 41 games off the bench. He signed with the Rockets this season, after failing to latch on with the Heat in 2009. Beverley looks like a solid backup point guard and a great fit in the Rockets' fast-paced offensive system. Unfortunately, the Rockets also have a lot invested in the players above him on the depth chart, so he will likely have a minimal role next season. Do not plan on targeting him in the majority of Fantasy formats on Draft Day.
News: Rockets guard Patrick Beverley has showed flashes of being an intriguing player this season, but he appears to have hit a wall recently. Beverley was held scoreless over nine minutes of action Friday against the Timberwolves, the fourth time in the past five games that has happened. Beverley did not attempt a shot in the game, and added just one assist and one rebound, in a 108-100 win.
Analysis: Beverley is averaging just 1.2 points per game over the last five, while shooting just 13.3 percent from the field. Beverley might have a future in this league as a backup point guard, averaging 3.6 assists in that same span, but he is clearly not worth using in any Fantasy formats down the stretch, barring a role change.
News: With the trade of Toney Douglas prior to the deadline, Rockets guard Patrick Beverley has been taking on a bigger role in recent days. Beverley played 22 minutes off the bench Saturday against the Wizards, scoring a career-high 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting. Beverley nailed 3 of 5 three-point attempts, and added four rebounds and three assists, in a 105-103 loss.
Analysis: Beverley has cemented his place as the teams primary point guard off he bench, averaging 17.7 minutes per game in the month of February. He is averaging 5.7 points and 3.6 assists per game in that span, so Fantasy owners should still not expect many performances like Saturdays. At this point, he remains just a low-end Fantasy reserve in deeper formats.
News: Rockets guard Patrick Beverley logged a career-high 17 minutes during Friday's contest against the Pacers. Beverley scored a career-high eight points in the 105-95 win on 3 of 8 shooting from the field. He made both of his attempts from downtown and also added three rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block to his stat line, while logging 17 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Beverley made his NBA debut for the Rockets Tuesday night and has appeared in the two games that have followed as well. He saw the majority of minutes at backup point guard Friday night and it appears coach Kevin McHale may be leaning towards replacing Toney Douglas in the rotation. Still, even if that happens, the 24-year-old would only have minimal Fantasy value in deeper formats. In the meantime, Beverley should be left on the waiver wire in the majority of formats.
News: Houston recalled guard Patrick Beverley from the D-League, reports the Houston Chronicle Monday. With Jeremy Lin dealing with an ankle sprain, Beverley is needed by the Rockets.
Analysis: Beverley was just added to the roster a week ago and assigned to the D-League. That said, the plan was always to eventually call him up to the big show. Beverley is up with the Rockets now but we doubt he's going to garner any Fantasy value.
News: The Rockets signed guard Patrick Beverley on Monday after he received clearance from FIBA, the Houston Chronicle reports. Beverley, who participated in the team's practice Monday, was assigned to the D-League.
Analysis: Beverley was a second-round pick by the Lakers in the 2009 draft, but has hardly make a major impact in the NBA. His last appearance came with the Heat during the 2010-11 campaign. Fantasy owners should not view Beverley as a worthwhile option at this point.
News: The Heat waived G Patrick Beverley and F Da'Sean Butler on Monday to reduce their roster to 15 players. Neither player made a significant impact in the preseason.
Analysis: Neither player was expected to make an impact this season in the regular rotation. They can be left off all Fantasy rosters, obviously.
News: Miami point guard Patrick Beverley (head laceration) returned to action on Monday against Charlotte. Beverley played 24 minutes and scored seven points. He hit a three and shot 1 of 4 from the field overall. Beverley contributed four rebounds and four assists.
Analysis: Beverley, a rookie out of Arkansas, played overseas in Ukraine last season and averaged 16.7 points with 7.0 rebounds per game in 46 contests. He's competing for a reserve role and likely won't get enough playing time to matter in Fantasy. He should go undrafted.
News: Heat PG Patrick Beverley (head laceration) said on his Twitter feed that he's dealing with some pain after needing four stitches to close a wound suffered in Miami's game at New Orleans on Wednesday. Coach Erik Spoelstra said he was able to practice Friday without any issues.

News: Heat G Patrick Beverley had a productive game against the Spurs on Saturday night. He scored 11 points on 3 of 9 shooting while playing just under 41 minutes in the 90-73 loss. Beverley went 4 for 5 from the free-throw line and made his lone 3-point attempt while getting the start with Dwayne Wade nursing an injury. He also collected 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals in the defeat.
Analysis: Beverley, a rookie out of Arkansas, played overseas in Ukraine last season and averaged 16.7 points with 7.0 rebounds per game in 46 contests. He had a solid game on Saturday but will likely be one of the last guys on the bench while fighting for minutes. He should go undrafted on Draft Day and be ignored in a majority of leagues unless Beverley becomes a solid contributor.
News: The Lakers traded the 42nd pick in the NBA draft to the Heat. Miami used the pick to select guard Patrick Beverley.
Analysis: Beverley played overseason in Ukraine last season, averaging 16.7 points with 7.0 rebounds per game in 46 contests. He also averaged 3.6 assists. Beverley played for Arkansas in college and is a solid scorer and shooter from beyond the arc. He is not expected to play a big enough role to matter in Fantasy leagues entering the season, however.
